Something for a friend.
Posted 8 years agoLet's face it, every now and again, we all need help at times in our lives, I'm a stubborn fool whom waits until the last moment to ask for help, but when I'm asked to help a friend or family member, I'm up off my tail and in action faster than you can blink.
One of my friends needs some help, I know a lot of people might look at the reason behind this as shallow or selfish, but if you've suffered even a milligram of real depression, then you'll know it's nothing to scoff at.

If anyone watching me knows her, at all, please do what you can, even if you can't spare a dollar, then give her some much needed support and love. A lot of different factors can be the cause of depression, not just outward sources, but internal struggles we can't see, and those are the ones that can cause the most damage. So simply telling someone you're there for them can mean more than any amount of money in the world, but only if you mean it, only if you can put your heart into letting your friend, your family member, know that no matter what, you stand by their side through thick and thin.

Back from FWA 2017
Posted 8 years agoJust what the subject says, I went to FWA with my mate and our ferret and just got back home earlier this day. I've got stuff to take pictures of, and things to scan and email to the original artists, but gotta do that later. First is some time to decompress and relax.
!!!OMFG!!! It's not that important. XD
Posted 13 years agoSo I decided to get a new game, one that may last a long while.
Tokyo Jungle for the PS3.
Learned about this game several weeks ago, thought it was interesting then to play as animals and take over Tokyo. Turns out it's a bit more than just that. I started playing out as the Pomeranian, collecting Data Archives and marking my territories, but after so many years, which actually only take minutes, you get old and have to breed. You mark your territory and potential mates appear, two per area, and the best are Prime Mates. They have solid hearts and sparkles on them. If none of the females are prime, then you can settle for Average, those just have white/pink hearts. The worst mates are Desperate ones, those have black hearts and frankly, don't go near them.
The whole basis of the game is to survive and change generations, but you can unlock more animals to play as by completing certain challenges. One more thing to remember though is you get to play both sides of the coin, predators and grazers (prey). As predators, you are almost constantly hungry, and the hunger gauge does lower faster then when you play as a grazer, but you get to be super aggressive and attack pretty much everything on sight. However, one drawback is that your challenges to unlock new animals means you have to attack and kill boss animals that can have stats that dwarf you're already built up surplus from changing generations and completing ranked challenges. As grazers, your animal unlocking challenges involve simply finding the target animal in the target area and touching them, the bad part is that those Boss animals appear in random areas, so even if you fail the first time you find the boss, the location changes the next time you play through.
Now when it comes to changing generations, you get to breed your female of choice, you go to the nest of the territory you control, get to watch your character sniff her, then rear up and then. . . the screen goes black, your controller rumbles, and you hear howling even if you play as a grazer. XD Then it comes back and your a young version of your sire, and it's biased that all offspring are male, but oh well. Then it all starts over again, find a new territory to mark, eat, survive, and hope you've gotten strong enough to take down the Boss animal.
The Data Archives are what unlocks chapters in the Story Mode, and you can't collect more archives in Survival Mode until you clear the unlocked chapter of the story. So you're going back and forth, and back and forth, between the two game modes. I've been playing it for 2 weeks now, and in all honesty it's the best game for gamers like me. Plus there's a multiplayer function in survival, so if you and your mate/partner/spouse want to join in, they can and you both are able to play through survive. The story you unlock with the archives helps you to understand why Tokyo is the way it is and what happened, I've gotten enough of the chapters unlocked that I have the whole thing figured out, and I still have about 5 more chapters to unlock.
Over all I have to give it some good marks. Gameplay and interaction is nice, I'd say 4 out of 5, controls are fine with a 3:5 as sometimes you miss even with facing the opponent and they hit you all the time even when you're just an inch out of range. I've only got a 19 inch screen TV so graphics I'll give 3.5 out of 5, difficulty can't be changed but that's fine with me because I like to work for my rewards so for me that's a 5:5, character customization is restricted to what colors the animals are naturally, cats can be unlocked, and then different fur colors and patterns of cats can be bought using the in-game currency you built up as survival points. I give that a 2 out of 5 because it costs to purchase the animals you "unlock" and costs more to get the different fur patterns if it permits such options.
My personal overall rating is 3.5 out of 5, it's a good game if you want to put the time into it, I found it worth the money spent to get this game, and from what I've seen, can only be bought through the PSN (Play Station Network) Store. If you're a member of the Play Station Plus it has a reduced price, but I find paying a monthly fee that's greater than the price of the games I save up to afford isn't worth the $0.49 to $5.00 savings it enables. Mind you it makes some of the really cheap games completely free, but again for the subscription price(s), it just won't do.
Thank you all in advance for reading my ramblings. ^.=.^

First Journal Ever =b And it's a request.
Posted 16 years agoWell, I watch a lot of artists, all of you know that. Not very active with submissions as I'm not an artist and fave a lot without commenting. Anyway to the point.
Friend of mine and good RP buddy asked me if I could find certain artists willing to do some pictures of himself and I together. It will involve my feral eastern dragon form, and he's a beardragon as a cub.
mahun I don't really have a reference sheet of any of my forms, best I can do is a badge I got from FC08.

A few artists names popped into my head as soon as he let me know about the subject of the pictures. So I'm hoping some of the cub artists would be willing to give it a try.
Big daddy Draco adopted this cute bundle of fuzz he found at his cave entrance, Lil Mahun being a well known friend as an adult has somehow become an adorable cub needing care and attention. So the cub caring ensues. Eventually Lil Mahun grows a bit and becomes curious about himself, discovering many different things and asking Daddy Draco all kinds of questions. Daddy Draco answers those questions as best he can so the lil cub understands them easier.
Naughty or nice pictures, depends on the artists mood and what details Mahun and I work out with sharing. All in all if any of the artists interested want to send me a note about prices and what-not, I'll be glad to discuss things further and get back with you as soon as I'm able to, Mahun has a hectic schedule so conversations are sparse with him.
