Not much else to say other than wanting to update just for the sake of updating.
YCH info:
YCH just about done and ready to upload, and starting up a new one very soon. I'd like to average out to about one group YCH per month or one every two months or whatever! 6-12 per year seems reasonable I think. There is a new rule for me to follow however: Once payments have been made, I will stream daily featuring only the YCH and nothing but the YCH until it is finished. I will not stream anything else as to keep things professional and timely. I learned a lot from my very first YCH experience, and never want to repeat the same unprofessional mistake of taking so long.

Yup. We are still working on that. I apologize for taking so long with it, but it's really somewhat of a book project that I've put a lot of care into. Books/novels take time, and I've severely underestimated that when I had finished it's first chapters so many months ago. I've spent the greater part of this morning writing for it, and it's still something that I feel invested in. Next VN project I work on will only be announced when it's near completion. Another lesson I've learned.

-Playing Pokemon Yellow recently. I never understood pokemon all my life until only a few months ago when my boyfriend succeeded in trying to get me into it. Anyone know a workaround for that slot machine part? Are they kidding with that shit? No other way to catch Porygon? >:I

Posted 9 years agoMy god, I apologize if my Patreon changes went unnoticed before uploads and month end transactions were made. I just now realized that it I've completely forgotten to go over the tier changes that I've made a few days ago. They are minor and were tweaked to be less of a quota pressure and more of an organic upload experience that I can achieve each weekend. The changes are going to help me to focus on the quality of the upload instead of reaching a specific quantity. These are also subject to change based on your response, and I will be happy to email any missing content from the past if anything updates further.
Tier update
*Instead of a set number of versions per upload, everybody has access to most versions created.*
- 1 dollar tier has access to FA sized images. They can enjoy the main image one month before it's uploaded on FA. You can also enjoy most of the versions of the image as well.
- 3 dollar tier has access to high rez images. These are the full resolution images that I work with before downsizing them to FA size friendly files.
- 5 dollar tier has access to the creation process and limited commentary/notes.
- 10 dollar tier has access to the photoshop file that was used to make the image altogether. Full commentary and a few bonuses will also be included.
Part of the problem that I'm hoping to avoid is this terrible habit of worrying and obsessing over art until the very last minute possible. There's at least 7 or 8 Patreon images in my folders that sit at 90+ percent finished, yet they sit there and I worry about them, forcing myself to upload when I am defeated by the clock. This is something of an issue that I've been working to overcome and I apologize for any conduct that came off as unfair.
I worry so goddamn much about making people unhappy yet things like this slip right under my radar making me want to give up and retreat entirely. Sometimes Patreon gives me way more anxiety than it's worth because someone is always mad at me for one reason or another. But money is always so tight for me. I feel trapped against a wall and and my upload anxiety is worse than ever.
Right now i'm going to continue finishing Patreon material for each tier for last nights upload. I need the end result to be worthy.

I had no idea so many people were locked out of FA nor was I aware of how many pure watchers there existed, and that it would result in so many simply making up a new account instead of hassling with recovering their lost one.
Is FA going to implode on itself forever one of these days? Who's to say. I like to say "I doubt it" if only for the comfort vibes it sends.
Are some of us not wanting to wait for a "not so surprising in hindsight" sudden implosion, and would (out of sheer common sense) like to maintain a variety of other options at their disposal? Abso-fucking-lutely.

I am noticing something strange, and I thought i'd bring it up here.
Anyone else getting a high volume of new watches today from blank ass accounts that were made only yesterday? Few of them even bother to place icons at all, in addition, it seems like all of these new accounts are determined to watch as many people as possible, some reaching into the 800 zone in the short 24 hours they've been around. Just seems to be a little bit on the spammy-scam-bot end of things to me. What the hell am I even thinking? That's exactly what it probably is.
But what is even the purpose of all this?
if anyone has a guess or actual information on some of this activity, that would be cool.
In other news, Lots more uploads on the way.

Catching up
Posted 9 years agoSo it appears there's a lot more I have to finish and format and send out than I had anticipated, and I don't feel comfortable taking new commissions while so many people are waiting for their work to be completed. I'm going to focus on getting everything out there this week/weekend, so brace yourselves for a good amount of uploads in the next 4 days, then it should be back to business on Monday. Apologies for those who are waiting for art this week.

First and foremost lets talk about the elephant in the room. I have severely neglected all higher pledge tier content promised in the rewards section of my Patreon page. It's time to actually make up for all of this. I will be posting content for all past uploads that have been neglected alongside new weekly content as a gradual apology. These uploads will reflect my new Patreon system (seen below) In order to ensure that all individuals get the fairest treatment possible. I will simply provide all past content to everybody no matter what tier they are currently on. I apologize to those who paid higher and deserved more than everyone else. But of my two options I feel it is better than simply providing to current higher pledge tiers while leaving out those who were once pledging higher in the past.
2. Updated rewards system
Things are going to be a lot simpler from here on out. Here is how the reward system works from April onward.
Free Option: You get to enjoy the one dollar tier patreon illustration on FA 1 month after it's uploaded on Patreon. Simply watch my FA in order to enjoy the full benefit of the free tier. :3
1 dollar : You get to enjoy the image posted one month sooner than the FA version. In addition to a random doodle page.
3 dollar : you get to enjoy 3 versions of the image. Changes could include things like outfit, expression, and even sexual characteristics.
5 dollar: You get to enjoy 5 total versions of the image. Changes can be more dramatic and experimental. You also get a behind the scenes sketch page including commentary.
10 dollar: You get all of the above plus the original photoshop file. In addition you get to tell me to doodle something in three words. The response to this can be seen in the next upload.
3. No more last minute posts.
I don't like the feeling of posting at the last second. I'm certain you also do not like it either. I want to spread things out. Expect a post later tonight.
4. Distribution
All past and future posts will eventually appear on my FA account. This version is identical to the dollar version. All future updates will appear on FA at least one month after it appears on Patreon.

No stream tonight

Busy day full of distractions today, and unfortunately it looks like I wont be able to stream tonight.
A number of issues came up regarding my student loans, however this led me to a possible and promising solution for a number of financial drains in my life. Without going into much detail, lets just say I'm not trying to get my hopes up too much, but I am also determined to seek whatever opportunities may exist.
the light at the end of the tunnel may have gotten much bigger today. Lets hope.

Everyone is safe now. I shall continue working on Ex Gender , and hopefully I can showcase what I've got going on soon! Hopefully you guys will love the end result as I'm having a lot of fun with it myself. I am so glad to move forward from these last few uncertain days.

However, the site is not providing me information that I need, (email and pledge amount associated with said email) but I am continuing to work on gathering everything I can before they delete it. I do not mean to cause alarm, however this is a problem I am facing. Every time I try to access my list of pledges made to Ex Gender from all 268 supporters, I am immediately given a 504 bad gateway.
If anyone can help me figure how to access my very important information before the 5th, I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you Offbeatr for providing this unique opportunity for me. However your site is only partially functional as of now, and I do need that information backed up (something I apologize for not doing earlier)

End of Year short hiatus
Posted 9 years agoBeen away for a while due to a pretty distracting ailment that i'm not 100% sure what it is. A trip to the doctor is not possible for me unless I want to increase my already alarming overall debt. May be an only option if things get worse. Things have gotten better since yesterday however. Lets just say it involves sharp kidney area pain to the point where I cant even sit comfortably enough to focus and draw. I have my fingers crossed that it isn't a big deal.
In short. Thank you for your patience. I intend to stream tomorrow (Wednesday) and hopefully whatever was wrong with me continues to fade away.
I would like to set up some basic health insurance here, but last attempt was pretty pointless. Maybe I should consider leaving the country for a decent round of checkups and treatments. Who knows where i'll get the money to do that amount of traveling though. Just a nice luxurious thought I suppose.

A good amount of ExGender work has been done this week and it's story is finally something i am consistently happy with. As always, I cannot wait to finish enough to really showcase where it's gone. I hope the delays will be worth it in the end.
But I'll be trying my best to show up regardless. I want to thank you so much for all the support and I'm happy to continue producing quality work at such speed.

-Intense pain in teeth/gums
-No insurance until February (hopefully)
-Had to get an Xray to at least pinpoint what's going on costing me 80 bucks (meh -___- )
The good news
-No permanant damage (thank god)
-Deep cleaning every 6 months and more diligent flossing will put me back in "good shape".
-Pain should go away and life should go back to normal once I get insurance to pay for care (soon)
-Prescription pain killers are such a relief.
More bad news
-Ex Gender production at standstill due to medical/dental and financial issues
-Writer's block keeps slowing things down.
-pain in chest, legs, neck worry me. Make it hard to focus.
-Need to check with the doctor due to worrying new symptoms, but that'll have to wait until February...
But the bright side is:
-This motivated me to re - arrange my working space so that I must stand up to use the PC (for health reasons)
-Being on my feet for hours at a time, keeping knees bent, and carefully maintaining good posture has elevated my mood dramatically.
-Pain in chest, legs, neck are almost gone, though I'd still like to have a decent checkup ASAP.
-More productive since "lazy sluggish" feelings are gone.
-Ex Gender is more immersive and alive than ever.
-Story is closing up nicely.
-Help from editor(s)
-Seriously feeling better about the final product each week.
Unfortunately...
-Money is very tight due to emergencies and numerous "issues" that keep bombarding the lower middle class lifestyle.
-Want to focus more of my time on Ex Gender, but I must branch out and do more work in general so I can handle rent and student loan payments.
Fortunately:
-Some of you will be glad to see me streaming again
-More active on FA
-Will be happy to answer any and all questions about Ex Gender via stream.
-Will try to have my streaming up and running later today!

The Big Three
Posted 11 years agoNow that I'm no longer sick, I'm once again firing on all cylinders. I've been in bed for most of the week, so I dont have anything substantial to show on my Friday update aside from a lot of writing. But lets talk about something else for now. This very drastic change of plans will hopefully improve a lot of things in my artistic life.
One.
I am going to start livestreaming again today or tomorrow. (depending if I can get things working) The goal is to livestream a few hours a day so that all of those commissions I owe can be finished and taken care of soon. In addition, I want to eventually start up some new commissions here and there. Nothing time consuming, Just something to keep my rent checks from bouncing in the future.
Two.
When I am finished livestreaming, I will switch gears and work on Ex Gender. Some of the non spoilery artwork can be livestreamed as well. This project is still planned for a mid summer release, but I may end up releasing a near finished build, in order to give me time for the final touches/illustrations and voice acting/etc. It also gives me a chance to respond to some very useful feedback. If I decide to go with this plan, one or two free updates will be distributed to everyone once everything is complete.
Three.
There are many personal and random illustrations I've worked on in the midst of my other projects. Working on these helps keep my artistic blood flowing... when I stop working on what my imagination randomly desires (like I have been doing recently) then the rest of my artwork tends to suffer because of it. In light of this, I have decided to start up a Patreon. So at the very least, I can continue to receive support even when I am working on the less productive images in my files. The art that will be uploaded and featured through Patreon will be completely separate from my commissions and Ex Gender illustrations.
As of now, I want to avoid running out of funds, so commissions and Patreon might be the most responsible decision at this point. I do not intend to let these activities get in the way of the Ex Gender project. On the contrary: staying in the spotlight has done wonders for my productivity as a whole. I tend to thrive when there's more of an immediate social responsibility, and it effectively keeps me from falling into long unproductive episodes of depression. I believe hiding away from the public eye to tinker away at this Ex Gender project has been a huge mistake. I should never have stopped livestreaming. But now's not the time for hindsight, I have much work to do.

One.
I am going to start livestreaming again today or tomorrow. (depending if I can get things working) The goal is to livestream a few hours a day so that all of those commissions I owe can be finished and taken care of soon. In addition, I want to eventually start up some new commissions here and there. Nothing time consuming, Just something to keep my rent checks from bouncing in the future.
Two.
When I am finished livestreaming, I will switch gears and work on Ex Gender. Some of the non spoilery artwork can be livestreamed as well. This project is still planned for a mid summer release, but I may end up releasing a near finished build, in order to give me time for the final touches/illustrations and voice acting/etc. It also gives me a chance to respond to some very useful feedback. If I decide to go with this plan, one or two free updates will be distributed to everyone once everything is complete.
Three.
There are many personal and random illustrations I've worked on in the midst of my other projects. Working on these helps keep my artistic blood flowing... when I stop working on what my imagination randomly desires (like I have been doing recently) then the rest of my artwork tends to suffer because of it. In light of this, I have decided to start up a Patreon. So at the very least, I can continue to receive support even when I am working on the less productive images in my files. The art that will be uploaded and featured through Patreon will be completely separate from my commissions and Ex Gender illustrations.
As of now, I want to avoid running out of funds, so commissions and Patreon might be the most responsible decision at this point. I do not intend to let these activities get in the way of the Ex Gender project. On the contrary: staying in the spotlight has done wonders for my productivity as a whole. A sick journal
Posted 11 years agoYuup. looks like I'm as sick as I've ever been in over fifteen years. A massive fever has taken hold, and keeping my temperature in check has been really difficult. I really don't want to go to the doctor because my ultra student loan debt is a big enough problem to deal with. (probably for the rest of my life) I still have a very strict budget to work with, and I don't want things to run short sooner than it needs to.
This wont kill me or anything scary like that, but if I hit 103 + again, I'll get to a doctor.
In other news, No update last Friday because I was too sick to even move out of bed for the entire day. A little better now, but it looks like I'll need to cool down soon, and stay away from the hot computer room and chair.... temp says i'm rising again.
I want to get back to work on the project asap, and actually thinking of starting a livestream for some of the non spoilery art.
maybe this week or next week, whenever I'm better. Thanks for your patience and support.

Community is important
Posted 11 years agoI apologize for the extended silence after unveiling my project last November/December. I've been very poor at keeping on top of my usual online interactions since working on this project full time began in January. Funds barely arrived in February, and I was able to work around the financial delay. To be frank, development has been moving along slower than I would have liked, however I am going to keep a weekly update journal for everyone to see. Partially exposed illustrations will be shown on my Tumblr in addition to lists, screencaps, and other update material every Friday! Keep an eye out!

I will also be warming up almost daily with some livestreams soon.... I feel like working on other illustrations (past due commissions mostly ) will help me return to the Ex Gender project with more energy and a better momentum.
