Everyone is running to other places for various reasons, as many of them unfounded as based on anything proven or provable. When these people go someplace else, someONE else is going to do something that is going to have them want to run someplace else again. It's part of the fandom, and is inescapable, no matter how many sites rise up to accept the flighty and ill-informed.

This person being an asshole in person is probably true; too many people seem to have met him and had bad responses. But let me ask you this. If a huge number of the people you met in this fandom kept looking at you as if you were raping someone right that moment, or kept bringing up "that one time" from your past, a time you would most likely want to seriously forget, how would you start reacting to people? Personally, I would begin to distrust anyone I met, expecting them to remind me of that one time yet again, while looking at me as if I was doing whatever it was right in front of them. I would also kind of stop wanting to meet new people, and to maybe just be left alone.

Second thought. What does this person's actions have to do with their programming skills? People are reacting as if FA and it's admins are actively supporting and assisting in someone's abuse by getting him to work on the project. If the rumor of him driving off everyone else involved in the project is true, then yeah, he should have been dropped, but otherwise? Neither you, me, or anyone else on this site really has to interact with him, so if he's an asshole...? STOP TRYING TO TALK TO HIM. YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

I'm not going to speculate on if he did or did not do whatever it is he was supposed to have done simply because there's no way to either know if it actually happened, or to bring any kind of justice about if it did. For that matter, there's no way to bring about any kind of justice if it DIDN'T happen... people would have smeared his name to Hell and back for nothing by now.

I can't believe the sheer level of insanity this is all causing, but I felt I might as well toss my two cents into the mountain of copper coins that's taken shape over this. Maybe it'll buy FA a way out of this bullshit.

I've recently discovered an interesting one that's kinda like Pokemon called Outernauts. You capture monsters, train them, develop your own planet (more like a large asteroid), and fight other characters and players as you work your way through the story. It's even done by Insomniac Games, which is a good gaming company, the ones who originally made Ratchet and Clank and Spyro the Dragon.

Trying to get someone some help with excessively priced medicines. I'm completely willing to consider out of the country sources... as long as their LEGIT sources. All the websites I've found for "Meds from Canada~!" have been hotbeds of malware and bullshit.

UPDATE: Thanks for all the help, Seems a visit to the local clinic was all that was needed. They gave my friend free insulin... apparently they were poor enough to qualify for some program that covers that, so... all's well for the moment... at least in this direction.

I was just directed to watch this amazing video on YouTube of a poem by Shane Coyczan called "To This Day", which is about bullying and the effects it has on people. It was deep, and had a pretty profound effect on me. School was a rough place on all of us to some extent or another, and life is just as much so, and this kinda touches on that. I hope you guys all can enjoy it and feel something from it too.

Apparently a website came up where Shell was allowing people to use images of arctic animals and nature to make their own posters for why Shell should be allowed to drill up there and why people should be more excited about it. The responses were, to say the least... impressive. Go read some of them if you want to see exactly what people think about THAT idea.

I've been noticing a lot that people have some kind of problem with me for not liking MLP and saying as much when certain journals come up. I'm sorry, but... yeah, I'm not likely to change my tune or my mind because you get upset over how I feel, or how I express it openly, at least not on this matter.

MLP is not something I see as bad in and of itself. The cartoon, what I saw of it, was interesting and well drawn. But since that time I have seen the twisted side of this fandom take hold of that well made cartoon and fuck it with a 12 inch dildo with razor blades embedded in it. Everything from something as relatively harmless as adding naughty bits to the ponies, to mid range shit like making them dominatrix hyper herms or making all of them gay, to high end, "Pinkie Pie is a secret serial killer who lures ponies into the basement of her mother's house, drugs them, rapes them, then chops off their parts so she can wear them" stories and pictures.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the efforts made toward the ponies is quite interesting, such as this awesome flash I found that has you playing a person turned into a pony and allowed to wander around I found, or the anthro transformation images that depict the ponies all as full anthros, or the comics some people do that stay in form with the cartoon's styling, but follows completely original storylines. I *like* some of that stuff, mainly for it's imaginative nature and originality.

But I feel the need to explain a bit further on the matter. I have found an undercurrent of people who seem to be trolls hiding out within the MLP community, using it to harass other furries. They probably do it because the MLP fandom is still not really fully accepted by the community as a whole, and it really IS a part of it, so they see the irony of it all and try to turn that to their advantage. The trouble with that is... a LOT of the MLP community denies any such people exist. Any encounter with a MLP troll is a isolated, highly doubtful occurrence; on at least one occasion, I was told flat out that I was lying, and it never happened.

The same goes for the fanatics. Those people who, when you say you're not a fan, or not interested, or don't like or understand MLP flip out and rant at you about how inconsiderate you are, how you're just a hater trying to slander all Bronies everywhere forever, and who try to rally support from all and any other fans in range to defend the sanctity of the MLP fandom. These people just don't exist, in any way shape or form, anywhere. Or so the other fans would have you believe. If they do, no one has ever met them. EVER.

I'll also be honest and say that there seems to be too much of that stuff going around to avoid it all. People tell me to put up filters, and to stop watching people who draw that stuff, and to go to sites where you'll not see any MLP art... but the simple fact is no matter how hard you're going to try, you're GOING to see some if it someplace... and what's more... I don't WANT to completely avoid seeing it at all; I just don't want to see that weird, nasty, CREEPY twisted side of things as much as I do.

So do I have a problem with the whole craze? Hell yeah I do. But I also don't think it's completely horrible, nor am I saying anything negative about Bronies... other than the ones who get all nasty or fanatical when you talk to them about not liking MLP... even if I don't fully understand 30+ year old men who squeal over a cartoon made for little girls. (And yes it fuckin' WAS made for little girls, stop kidding yourselves!)

I don't really care how much flame and hate the people who can't see what I'm saying and consider it honestly toss in my direction. The MLP fandom is just like any other; it has it's freaks, it's fanatics, it's trolls... it is not completely pure and innocent people who love a cartoon. If you've been telling yourself no one in that group ever does anything bad, then you probably should stop lying to yourself. I'm not trying to spread some message of hate either. I'm just trying to make it clear to some people that though you might not like me saying what I do... I'm damn well gonna say it until something changes, and then I'll say THAT until I feel like stopping. Deal with it.

I mean, really people... what did you expect them to do? I was COMPLETELY psyched to get that game... until I found out you couldn't play it without being online. At that moment, my ardor cooled more than a little to say the least. This is ALMOST as bad as hearing that the next gen of console games are going to require every person who tries to play them to pay... so even if you get a game second hand, or a friend brings it to your house to play after buying it, you have to pay an additional fee in order to use it.

When you take a game known for it's fun when being played alone and offline, and FORCE everyone to log into your servers to play it, you damned well better have them tested, tested and RE-tested before launch time... and since this is Blizzard, who has another cash cow that needs work, and other things coming out as well, I have a feeling they're overworking their server monkeys a lot more than usual.

Seriously though. Sorry to hear what should have been an epic launch went over more like a short slide down a metal kiddie park slide with a puddle at the bottom in mid summer. All burnt asses, friction burn and wet feet.

Ok, so I have this phone right? A Samsung Intercept. I want to download images to it from the web.

The first problem I have is it won't connect to any site for downloading; just says "trying to connect". No matter how strong the signal is in the area.

Second is the issue with FA itself. I keep getting messages saying the certificate here isn't trusted repeatedly. Is there some way to make the damn thing automatically trust the site?

Apparently the person who runs this site has been stealing art from DA, then selling it for hundreds of dollars a copy.  silverone has found several of her pieces there, as well as 10 other artists art, and was only half way through the page.

If art theft bothers you at all, contact the site itself and let them know it's stolen (copy paste the link, or it gives you a 404 error) and if you see someone's art, tell them about it so they can take action. This sort of thing disgusts me, and I hope it gets shut down soon.

UPDATE: Apparently, people are spreading this around and it's going viral... tons of people are reporting about it, and I think soon this person is going to be deep in hot water... right where he needs to be.

1. When you watch said anime and one of the characters passes out from something they consider too awesome and it's described in the subtitles as "HHHHNNNGGGGed".

When one character is reacting to another and says under their breath, "Yo, we heard you like fail, so we put some fail in your fail so you could facepalm while you facepalm."

The animes in question are "Sket Dance" and "Stein's Gate" btw, if you're interested in watching. ^^ Both have been entertaining, humorous and fun from the beginning, and I recommend both.
