Posted 6 years agoHaven't been here for a while. Let me explain why:(Long Incoming Journal Part II)|Restructuring Portfolio|Conventions|Animation/Projects|Patreon|Twitch/Youtube|Merchandise|Vlog(2020?) |Restructuring Portfolio|
So I moved to Florida back in 2017 and it's been wild ever since. Found out that I'm not too fond of the state, but living with my BF and meeting new people have been making it worth while for me. I could do without the humidity tbh. Up until now I guess I never really had a true artistic direction in mind like I do now. I've struggled with finding joy in my art (I still do but I power through it now and some days are better than others) and I felt like quitting it altogether a few times but I kept going and I think I finally got in the swing of things. I'm rebuilding my portfolio and restructuring myself as an artist. I'm in the process of finding my center and I think I'm on the right track. 2020 and beyond I want to look into animation and entertainment art jobs and I'll be focusing this upcoming year on this.
Conventions
Conventions have always been tricky for me since whenever I go, I see other artist and freelancers selling their merch and I've always wanted to try it but i've been so scared to take the next step. Recently I've been talking to a few friends who gave me some pointers on how to go about it. I've been slowly baby stepping into the idea of having my own merch store. At the past few cons I've attended, my roommates and I would host a pizza party and give away merch as a way of saying "Thank You for Attending" type of deal. They're all had a good turnout so far and it fills my heart whenever I get complimented on something I designed. I plan to try Artist Alley first to officially test the water and when I feel up for it, then I'll try the Dealer's Den. In 2020 I will also *attempt* to attend CTN and OIAF.
Animation/Projects
This part still hasn't changed since my last post. I've been working on restructuring myself as an artist and I didn't have time to really work on animation. That all changed this year since I've been slowly dabbling back into it. My confidence in my abilities as an animator slowly comes back to me in small dosages. I've been posting some on Twitter and now on Patreon so be on the lookout for that.
Patreon
This is something i've been wanting to do for a long while. Since i'm a full time freelance animator, I feel that having a Patreon would really help not only my artistic growth but it will help fund zines, merch, new equipment, etc. that I would need/create. I've been posting on it a lot more as of recent and I have a couple of comics, zines, and other cool stuff in the works that I hope you guys will like. Here's a link to my Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/syncrotrace
Twitch/Youtube
I finally bit the bullet and now I co-run both a Twitch and a Youtube page with my older bro, KvPhoton. This is something I've always wanted to do for a long time and now that i'm finally doing it, it has reinvigorated my love for entertainment arts. Currently we're streaming Pokemon Shield, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and much more on Twitch, then migrating it to Youtube. I create all of the graphics and thumbnails for the streams and bi weekly uploads. Links to both channels will be posted here.
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN.....OrrZ0eoFbNoisg
Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/kvphoton
Merchandise
I do have some merchandise in the works and they will be patreon exclusive for those who support my artistic vision. If you want your hands on some, check out my Patreon and join the club. I have some cool stickers, buttons, enamel pins, wristbands, zines, etc. in the works and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on them. I'm very proud of my work and seeing other people enjoying them makes me so incredibly happy.
Vlog(2020?)
Still thinking about doing this. I want to archive my artistic journey and I figured this is a good way to do it. I'm kinda getting the hang of running a youtube channel and I figured once I get comfortable being around a camera for long periods of time I'll maybe upload art vlogs/hauls type of videos. Of course if I do this then my endeavors would have to be funded by my Patrons.
Tl;dr
This is where i've been as of recently. I've been keeping better care of myself even though I do slip up which is what I have to work on still. I have a wonderful support system whom I honestly wouldn't have gotten this far mentally without them. To all of the people I talk to on a regular basis, you guys rock. (For new people reading this, don't be afraid to start a conversation with me. I don't bite.) I'm pretty optimistic about my future and where my career will lead me. I just have to be patient and go with the flow. With Coffee/Monster in hand of course.

Posted 9 years agoHaven't been here for a while. Let me explain why:(Long Incoming Journal)|Graduating From College|Conventions (AOIF/CTN)|Animation/Projects|Art Direction|Website|Graphic Novel|Vlog(?)|Moving Out||Graduating From College|
As of late I've been preparing myself mentally to graduate from college which is kind of a scary, but satisfactory as well. There's a lot of things I could say regarding the college i'm currently attending, but I'll leave that for another time. Networking is cool. I've been doing plenty of that during these 4/4 1/2 years. During these years my skills as an animator and artist overall have improved drastically since I first started. Of course I'm not calling myself a DaVinci or Van Gogh, but from where I started up til now makes me feel a little better about my art. I think that since I'm currently working on a senior film(which would be my coup de grâce), I started noticing how my previous years have been amped up for this final(not yet actually) moment. I've literally have been counting down the days til graduation and it's a little intimidating to think about. Nevertheless, I guess at that point I would be considered an alumni and that would be cool I guess.
Conventions (AOIF/CTN)
Last fall I submitted a film to this local film festival called Fresh of the Grill. It had got accepted and was shown on a big screen. I experienced a wide range of emotions. Most included Fear, Anxiety, and Curiosity. After it was shown, people clapped and actually loved it. I even overheard someone say that it was their favorite out of the ones shown. Ever since then I've been working hard on my current film titled Beware of the Deadwood Gang. I'm hoping to be finished with it by the middle of April. The goal is to submit it to the Ottowa International Film Festival. I get butterflies thinking about it, but it gives me the drive to push forward. (Shoutout to Django Unchained and American Tale: Fievel Goes West for being major inspirations.) Creative Talent Network (CTN) is shortly afterwards and I plan to attend both. It's a big step for me career wise and I would love the experience and opportunities. Hope I don't mess it up. xD
Animation/Projects
Aside from my senior film, I do have other ideas currently in my queue. I tend to come up with cool ideas from time to time and I juggle between which one would be my next project. As of right now (this is subject to change) I have two ideas in post production. Before I graduate from college, my goal is to have an animatic for both ideas completed. Is that a little overambitious? Maybe, but I like the challenge. Both ideas are multiple episode ideas and it's not fully developed as of yet. By the end of March/Early April I should have them all tied down and ready for storyboarding. I've already recorded audio for both ideas as well as do some animation tests. I've been using Flash, ToonBoom, and even TVPaint. I'm pretty pleased with it and when I'm ready, I'll share it with you guys. Of course I'm not strictly working on project after project (kinda) but I'll be working on smaller animations as well. I would say that it's honing my skills as an animator. Most of my animations will be posted to my vimeo account and i'll submit gifs from these ideas, including my senior film, on here with a link to my vimeo account. ( Link to my vimeo account --> https://vimeo.com/user43917563 )
Art Direction
This is something I'm going to be intently focused on. Character Animation is my initial focus, but I would also like to dabble into background studies, storyboarding, character and story concepts, as well as possible 3D modeling in ZBrush( this is a work in progress idea). In my roster I have seven distinct characters (two being my fursonas) that perfectly describe me as a person. Developing them more is a fun process so I'll be spending more time doing that. Direction wise, I'd like to work on what inspired me as a child and as an adult. Most of this will be reflected in my animations to come, but also it will be shown in how I approach certain drawings. When I would draw I never really knew why. I just did it because I was good at it and thats where I would like to be professional in. I've come to find out that if I draw with an actual reason to draw, then my creations and ideas come out better.
Website
In the near future, I would love to own a website with my own domain name. As an animator I feel that owning that will make it easier for people to see your work, bio, how to contact you, etc. Of course you have LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Artstation, and all of the other social media outlets, but I feel the most accomplished with a website. I guess my only issue is when will I have the time to actually work on developing it? It's on my to-do list as I have other bigger projects to tackle first.
Graphic Novel
This is something I'm really going to enjoy. I actually just finished the script for one I've been working on for about a year. So far i've gotten some pretty positive feedback, although I welcome all forms of feedback. During this year of brainstorming and writing this script I've struggled with not making it too personal, while leaving it in the realms of fiction. I've started on character concepts and environment ideas, but nothing solid as of yet. I'm just glad that I finished the damn thing. After graduation, I would imagine that I will also be pushing forward on designs, comic panels, etc. I would like to publish this and have people read it. Maybe I'll write a sequel if I'm up for the work. Pacing myself sound like a great idea, so I'll just wait and see what happens.
Vlog(?)
Here's something I've been wanted to do for a while. I think my schedule is currently allowing me to vlog for once. I was originally gonna start in January, but things happened which made me put the idea on hiatus. I would say come early May/ Late June I can start the vlog train back up. I've been watching tons of vlogs and the content that they produce and I have a few ideas on what I want to do for mine. Still a work in progress though. We'll see where this goes, but for right now I do have one episode recorded and ready for viewing. I'm just not gonna post it yet. Not the right time/place. Plus, I want some cool intro/outro music of my own so i'm currently working on that as well.
Moving Out
I could write a long dissertation on why I feel so strongly about this topic, but I'll give you a PG benign version. As I've discovered during my years of art college, I found out not being cooped up in the house or being in the state that I live in gives me fresher ideas. Now this isn't the same for everybody, but it works for me. For example, a year and a half ago, I did a cross country road trip from Tacoma, WA to Detroit, MI. It was a long trip mind you, but I came up with so many different ideas, concepts, and stories. Seeing fresh environments or being in new areas I've never been in really gets my creative juices flowing. It gets to the point where I brainstorm most of the time. I would also assume that's when i'm the most upbeat. After college, moving out might be the best thing for me seeing as how I become an extrovert with ideas flowing though every fiber of my being.
Tl;dr
This is where i've been as of recently. I've been keeping better care of myself even though I do slip up which is what I have to work on still. I have a wonderful support system whom I honestly wouldn't have gotten this far mentally without you guys. To all of the people I talk to on a regular basis, you guys rock. Building A Studio + Glow In The Dark/Noctilucent Lights
Posted 10 years agoI've been really busy as of late.
Busy as in producing, animating, recording, and coloring for my junior film. It's been a super long process, but I'm making some really good headway on the project as a whole. I'm hoping to have it all completed in late May. I already have a solid idea on how I want my next film to turn out. That's kind of the cool side of being an animator. If you want to check out what I'm working on, here's the link to my film ---> http://www.immortalsfilm.tumblr.com
Aside from this film and work, I haven't had that much time to work on a lot of stuff. I still have two commissions I'm almost done with. Aside with that I have a graphic novel to finish, so my queue is pretty busy as well. Technically, I've been in a hiatus since the middle of February, but I will finish these commissions. I'm also working on a project I'm calling Glow In The Dark/ Noctilucent Lights. I'm not going to reveal what this project is about yet, but it's gonna be pretty cool. I'm not going to give this project a time limit as I don't want to rush anything.
Also, I'm building my own studio soon. Since I have two more semesters til graduation, I want to have my own set up ready. It's gonna be a really slow process, but it's going to be really cool when I'm done with it. The west coast is still on my radar once graduation comes around. I think during this time and the time I graduate (or whenever this hiatus subsides) there will be some type of metamorphosis of both me as a a person and my style as an animator and illustrator.

SYNCROMONSTER 2015
Posted 11 years agoSo this is kind of my super late post FC journal that turned into an update journal.
So FC was amazing. I met a bunch of amazing people, networked with some cool artist, met some friends that I went to school with, met some of my biggest idols and inspirations, and with this being my first time in California I absolutely enjoyed it. I will definitely be going to FC2016. A big hug to
for suggesting it to me a last summer. Wouldn't have had the awesome memories I can look back on today. Also, California, you are now on my radar of possible living arrangements for when I graduate from CCS.
Getting back to the real world
My film that I'm currently working on is coming out much smoother than I had expected. I'm getting a lot of help from my professor as well as students and outside friends. I actually think that I'll be able to finish it before May. Anyway, if I'm able to finish it before then, then I'll probably post it somewhere and leave a link for it here, or wherever I feel like dropping it. Also, I wanted to talk about some things that have been plaguing me after the con.
Of course I experienced actual PCD which sucked. It lasted for about three weeks. I also got really depressed since FC. Honestly, that was the worst I've ever felt in such a long time. Drawing was difficult, I felt distant from a lot of people, and I just felt as if I was bothering people most of the time which wasn't the case. Over the past few weeks I have gotten better and I pondered on if I should post a journal regarding it since I figured most people don't read journals anyway(mines at least). I normally keep to myself in such matters, but it really feels good to talk about it. Shows that I'm not alone in the matter.
Anyway changing the subject, I have been working on a few big projects since FC. My animated film is one. I'm also working on a graphic novel as well something with
. I'm really excited to collaborate with such awesome people. I also have a queue that I have to knock out. Slowly but surely I'm getting through it. I've also been working on animated shorts and/or comics. I like to challenge myself so I figured why not.

Recent Developments/2015
Posted 11 years agoSalutations.Since I have some free time, I kinda felt like writing a journal. So yeah, obviously by the name I'm going to elaborate on some things I plan on doing from now until the end of 2015. Gonna involve some animation, a possible graphic novel series, and a lot of traveling. I'm also going to elaborate on a few characters I currently have in my roster.
AnimationsSo for those who don't know, I am an animator. Hell, I'm going to school for it so I would assume that I earned that title lol. I'm in my second semester of my junior year soon to be a senior. Long road, but i've learned so much from graduated students, teachers, and mentors. I'm pretty confident to start working on short animated films for demo reel purposes. The one I'm currently working on is called Mountain Cat. I've been working on it since August. I have everything roughed out and already have a few scenes cleaned up. Backgrounds and sounds are a hassle, but I'm sure I can power through it. I also have another film that I'm working on as well. I start the animation part in January. It's called Immortals. Mountain Cat might actually get finalized way sooner than Immortals, but here's hoping.
Graphic Novels (?)I'm currently working on a comic called BrotherHood as most of you know, however, talking to a few individuals, I decided to write four stories with each starting where the others end off. I know this is a big task to accomplish with how my schedule is, but I feel as if I can handle it. I had to push back the original date of the first part until late 2015. Collectively, I probably won't be done with the series as a whole until late 2016. It's a creative and growing experience for me and I'm hoping you can share my experience and journey with the pictures I post. I have another short idea that I'm developing as well. It involves Indigo along with his two brothers. Probably won't start on that until 2016 as well, so I have some time to fully develop it to where I like it.
#TravelCatI'm going to be doing a bit of traveling next year. First to California for FC. Note, this is gonna be my first time in California so I'm pretty excited about it. So for anyone who hangs out with me while I'm out there, forgive me if I get too ecstatic. Afterwards, I'm traveling to Florida to hangout with this person that I'm currently dating. Oh yeah, I'm currently dating someone really special right now. I really like this person, a lot. Yes, he does have an FA and no you'll have to figure out who this person is. Afterwards, Hi Ho to Ottawa, CA for a film convention. Hopefully, the film that I worked on last semester or the semester afterwards can be entered. It's not for a prize, but I would like for others to see it too. Seattle is a definite maybe for me as well as Manhattan, NY. Depending on how FC goes, I might make a return for 2016.
Art Status/FursuitI've been drawing a lot since the semester ended and I have to say that my style is constantly changing. I've interacted with a bunch of cool artists and they've been giving me tips and critiques I've been craving. As of now, I've been trying new things in the digital medium. I also got my feet wet with Maya. I resented it at first, but now I'm starting to like it. However, in terms of modeling, I might want to use ZBrush for more precise models that I can enjoy looking at. I have been taking commissions as of recent to purchase a new laptop. The one I currently have (5+ years now) is starting to show it's age and isn't running the programs I have installed efficiently. As far a fursuit, I believe I have chosen Indigo as the final design for the suit. I want to start constructing him sometime during March or the end of March.
CharactersSo as of right now I have a pretty good roster of characters. Jayden(main fursona), Indigo(secondary fursona), Boulder(favorable character), Duncan(secondary favorable character), Zachary(new lion character), Behr(old fursona of the person that I'm dating), and a few others I care not to mention for now. I plan on drawing reference sheets for most if not all of them. I feel as if they need one anyway since whenever I need to draw them, I forget how to lol. You'll be seeing a lot more of them in 2015 when I'll have a bunch of time to work.
tl;dr I tend not to reveal what my new years resolutions are because then it wouldn't be special to me anymore. So if anybody was looking for that, sorry, not this time. I am however going to pick up Jeet Kune Do in 2015 as well as managing my time better. That's all you're gonna get out of me for now.
#BusyTiger
Posted 11 years agoSalutations. So I've been pretty busy since the semester started. I've been working on my junior animated film, another animation film(same production schedule as my junior film), the comic Brotherhood, internship searching, a secret project, and juggling two jobs. So yeah I've been pretty busy as of recently. As it gets later on in this year I'll be posting less and less artwork unless it's in my immediate queue(commissions count as part of my immediate queue).
As for the comic, my junior film as well as the side project is slowing down the production. It's great that I like working on a busy schedule otherwise I would get nothing done lol. The comic should be released either at the end of December or the middle of January (hopefully). Also, I'll be preparing to move into my own place pretty soon. Well, let's just say that I'm in the process of. Something else I was randomly thinking about, I think before RF2015 my partial (or full) suit should be complete.
It's My Birthday.

Updated Commission Journal/Projects
Posted 11 years ago Salutations. I've updated my commission journal for those who were interested. Commission Journal
So inbetween commissions I'm going to be working on my junior film, some 3D stuff, as well as the comic Brotherhood. So Just trying to keep myself busy and stuff.
I am open for a while the so there's plenty of time to commission me. I'm kinda close to graduating college so additional money is pretty schway. I'm going to open up 10 slots until the beginning of January. Here is my current queue as of recent.

[started] Post MCFC/ Commissions
Posted 11 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So I attended MCFC and met so many awesome people. Quite frankly it was the best con I've attended thus far. I have a ton of draws relating to that con coming out soon. (real slowly though).I think I have enough Taco Bell and Angry Orchards in my system to last me the rest of the year lol. Special shoutout to
and
for being truly awesome. The dance competition was really nice too. Met some familiar faces and some not so familiar. Hopefully before next year's MCFC my partial or full suit will be ready to frolic around. Still in construction mode though.
As far as commissions go, I am open. I have six slots that are open. Here's my journal for more information Commission Journal

Unused Collection/ Personal Work/ 2014
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
I've been swamped with work which is why I've been barely coming out with any art, however I have a lot that I've been working on. Some personal, some experimental. A lot has to do with Jayden/Indigo/and Boulder. Ever since that reference sheet I did for Jayden, I noticed that there's still a lot of growth that still need to be had. A lot of experimental coloring and shading styles. Just reflecting on how this year turned out and I have to say that this might be the year that I grew artistically and mentally. I've learned a lot while failing at a lot. Memories that were made and so forth. My animations have gotten better which I'm most proud of. I've been offered artistic opportunities that I never dreamed of which I am grateful for. This year, I've gained the biggest confidence boost from people who like my art. It really means a lot that you believe that I'm going to go far with my talent.
I've been breaking out of my normal drawing style just to see where my artistic barriers are. I've decided that when 2014 comes around, I'm gonna do a major clearing of my gallery. Only the pieces I'm the most proud of will stay, but everything else will probably be deleted. Reasons for this is that the other submissions seemed rushed/ not carefully thought out/well executed the way I originally wanted. With the new techniques I acquired from this recent semester, I want to strive for a higher goal. Going back to Jayden/Indigo/Boulder, I completely changed their designs for the better. Animal studies and a well thought out way to execute it is the reasoning. So yes, I will be drawing another reference sheet for not only Jayden, but for Indigo and Boulder. I may do one for Duncan, but I haven't decided yet. Also, when 2014 hits, I will open a NSFW FA page. Name undecided as of current.
College Years has officially been rebooted and I already have the first five pages done, but I'm not releasing it until mid-late January. For reasons that I don't want it to seem rushed in any way. This is my first digital comic and I want it to be awesome. Same goes for Huaka'i O Lua. I'm looking at a mid February release for that comic only because the design isn't where I want it to be as of yet. Still experimenting. I will also have a blog with all of my human/experimental/anthro art on a blogspot page. I'm calling it the Unused Collection. Personally, I think 2014 will be a perfect year for me artwise. I hope you all experience this artistic journey with me.

College Years Reboot/ Huaka'i O Lua
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I rebooted College Years. I felt as if the first draft of the comic wasn't really going anywhere. So I'm redoing it, but this time, it's gonna actually have a storyline, a plot, new characters, environments, etc. I've added a few more Pokemon Characters in the story. Apparently some people that I've talked to really like the idea of furry and Pokemon in one world. Well, it would make sense since the main character, Graham, is an Arcanine. I've broken College Years into four parts. Freshman Year, Sophomore Year, Junior Year, and Senior Year. With each year, a new character is introduced. When I knock my queue down, i'll start posting concept art. Each year is gonna have at least 40-45 pages.
Huaka'i O Lua (translating to Journey of Two) is my newest project that I'm doing with Ikaika. This started off as a class assignment, but as the classwork developed, I thought of a story that I really liked and wanted to do in the form of a comic. It's also gonna have a small girl named Daveigh. Without giving much away, they're gonna have to learn from each other while learning about themselves. Of course you'll be seeing some concept art for that soon. The whole theme and family values are all Hawaiian based. Backgrounds and everything will be designed by me.
Busy busy busy.

My Characters - What they mean to me!
Posted 12 years agoBorrowed from
I've been meaning to write this journal forever and figured now was as good a time as ever! So here is a little discussion journal for everyone, talking about what my characters mean to me, and asking what yours mean to you! I saw this journal and I had to do one.
Jayden is my Fursona
To put it most simply, Jayden is just me with fur! Jayden has my personality, my likes and dislikes, would react to a situation the same way I would... etc. His appearance is based on mine as well with some modifications. We're both have a buff medium build, long untamed dark brown hair, his eyes are green and my are light brown though... but Jayden is basically everything I represent myself as. He loves backrubs. So do I. I always think about "How would Jayden react in this situation" whenever I'm troubled.
Indigo is my secondary fursona
He represents some of the positive traits I find in myself, and others I could only hope to have. He's upbeat and outgoing, always has a friendly smile and bearhugs everyone that he meets. He LOVES to cuddle, and rarely gets upset. Annoyed, but rarely upset. I needed a positive to Jayden's negative. Kinda like a devil and an angel of sorts. He originally started off as a dog of some sorts, but he evolved into a MacKenzie Valley Wolf. I love the color blue and Indigo seemed to fit with his personality. I kinda see Indigo as my muse whenever I'm feeling down. I needed a canine character because they are the best to cheer people up.
Boulder is my college character.
Boulder was created because I wanted to have a character who would live the way I envisioned my life living on a college campus would be. He's a Alaskan Malamute and German Shepherd. I chose those two breeds because instead of making him a husky, I decided to add some variety to his character. Boulder's personality is a little bit like mine at all. He does however have many traits that I admire. He is strong, calm, sarcastic, mischievous, and a bit of a flirt. He doesn't care what other people think of him, he's not out to please everyone. He won't let you walk all over him. He'll piledrive you in a hot second, thus the bite marks on his left ear. I really love that about him and hope to try and use him as inspiration to take these traits onto myself in certain situations. He's really fun to draw! I get really inspired when I visit my brother's campus and see all of the students and frats interacting. That's actually how he was created. He's my little frat dawg lol. Boulder is bisexual and has known to be a great kisser.
Duncan is my Bro character
So this guy is pretty new to my roster. He's a pretty beefy dude and loves to be around other people. He loves beer, sushi, and vore. He's kind of my fashion/ muscular side character. He started off as an inside joke between me and
because of my username. The he evolved into this guy. Plus, I felt as if I needed a big dragon in my crazy mix of characters. His beard was actually created to rival
but it eventually grew on him. He's still in development, and he's technically the mascot of "DracoSyndrome" but I love him nonetheless. So you'll be seeing more of him.
Of course, I have more characters too, but these are the ones that I draw and you will see most frequently.
With all of that aside, what do your characters mean to you? I know it is very different for everyone. Some people only have their fursona, which is just them. Some people have dozens of characters that exist only in their minds. Others have a "mascot", a character to promote their work but doesn't represent them. And still more people have fetish charaters, to fuel what they like to see in artwork.
So what does your character (or characters!) mean to you? :)

Rainfurrest Report
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So I was at Rainfurrest this year and I have to say that I had a blast! I met a lot of cool furs. Animators, Graphic Designers, you name it. There was a lot I was trying to do that I didn't really have the time for. The plane there was a bit tiring, but I got use to it. As well as getting use to all of the rain that happened while I was there. LOL actually that rain made no type of sense. It was constant and it was cold. Cold rain stays on your clothes longer. Blegh.
Anyway, I met a bunch of people I planned on meeting. The list was only half fulfilled, but still. Meeting
and
was completely amazing! Meeting
made my entire con. Seriously I love this guy. He's the most gentlest and lovable person you'll ever meet. Hugging him constantly and rubbing his belly was awesome! Hanging out with him was absolutely amazing too. I know I had to prevent him from devouring a small child when we were looking for a place to eat lol.
I've learned some new techniques and styles and I'm definitively gonna use in the future. I plan on picking up watercolors soon, so I learned all that I could within the three days I was there. Saw a lot of interesting fursuits while I was there too. It's getting me pumped to start working on mine soon. Oh yeah, I hung out with my best friend who lives in Seattle/Seatac too. Yasha, Mack, and I had a blast and those two are so compatible with each other it's scary lol.
It was also, BirthdayCon for me so I was thankful for the birthday wishes. Thanks for all the hugs and snuggles. I really appreciate it. Thanks for making this con awesome you guys. It really means a lot to me. Right now I'm drawing a blank, but once I remember everything positive that happened, I'll be sure to come back and edit this.

Dracarys
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So since my last journal I've been working back to back while working on College Years. Due to the surprising reaction I'm getting from it, there will be three arcs. This one is called FreshmanYear. Second arc will be called Sophomore Year and finally Junior Year. The fourth arc is still up in the air. Let's see how these two turn out. I am gonna introduce a ton of characters in the second arc and onwards. Yes, there will be cameos from people here and off FA.
Now with that being said, I'm 80% sure that I might open up a new page for comics. Hence the title of this journal. I've been really inspired by Game of Thrones and it makes me want to art. I have a couple of comics I've been commissioned to illustrate and I might post them here. I'm also gonna try some new styles in terms of painting.
is helping me with that and I'm really glad he is. I really adore his style and this'll be a learning experience for me.
Concerning my other characters, you'll be seeing them more. Bruno, Aoki, and even Avalanche (previously Rodrick) will be showing up again. Everyone of my characters will be given a reference sheet. Ugh. A new character will be introduced as well. Named Dracarys. Same color scheme as Jayden. So that should be interesting when I debut him soon.
Oh, in terms of RainFurrest, yes, I am still attending. Hopefully I will meet a ton of new people there. I love interaction and I'm gonna bring a special sketchbook just for that con. Also, I'm developing my partial suit for Indigo now. it's not as easy as it seems. Hopefully I'll have something to show for FCN2014.
Also, for commissions, I shall come out with a price guide along with examples pretty soon. As for right now, my journal has all of my commission information. I'm currently open. I'm gonna be experimenting with different subjects I haven't tapped into yet. (ex. Modern Art, Vore, Minimalism.)

Gearing Up/ Restarting Engines
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
I've been really busy with work and such. I have however been slowly working on College Years along with another unnamed project, art trades, and miscellaneous drawings. I should come out with the next few pages for College Years in a few days if my schedule allows me so thanks for being patient.
I also will be at RainFurrest this year. So I'll be able to meet you guys and we can hang out and have a fun time. Throughout my downtime I've found some awesome friends with awesome talents and I'm just soaking it all in. I'm learning from them while trying to apply it to my style so yeah, nothing really special in this journal, but just updating you guys. Also, you'll be seeing more of Boulder and Indigo interaction and of course, Jayden will be featured more in my submissions.
Btw, My buddy
is holding a raffle that ends on 7/1/2013 at 5 EST. He's got some cool wood burning stuff that you guys should check out. Here's the link below.

Gearing Up/Back In Action
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So the semester is over which makes me a junior now. I have a bunch of free time now so I can finally work on some sketches, comics, and commissions I planned on working with.
Starting with the comic, I'm really gonna get in gear and start introducing new characters and Graham, the Arcanine of the story. I expect maybe 50 pages when the story is actually done. By then, I shall formulate my next idea.
I'll be working on the free sketches from FCN and some other miscellaneous sketches on my downtime. I don't have that many, but it'll keep my artistic skills sharp. Also, I'll be animating something for fun during the summer. I kinda figured out how to use toonboom so I'm gonna use the school to my advantage. Plus, it'll look good in my demo reel.
Commission wise, I will be open all summer. Five slots at a time. If you're interested please check this journal out http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3329986/

Late ass FCN report
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
So FCN was really awesome this year. Definetely met and bonded with a few people. Especially
and
Nothing really happened the first day, but when Saturday came around, errythang happened. I actually got recognized which felt awesome. Did the typical roam around the con, visited all the rooms, and other stuff. Met some awesome friends from my school and basically hung out with them most of the con. Met
for the first time which was freakin awesome. He's a really nice guy. Also met
there too. He was also freakin awesome.
Dance competition was legit. Saw some really good dancers out there. So good in fact that if I obtain a partial before next year's FCN, then I'm gonna try out.
Got officially drunk for the first time and man, hangovers aren't fun. =\
Eating Taco Bell also isn't fun, but meh. It was delicious so it matters not.
Ran around as Ichabod for a while and got my picture taken by a couple people. I howled at the moon, danced my ass off in the rave, and got back massages. Fun right?
Finally encountered
and gave him all the belly rubs. Helped film a video and then the con was over.
Overall, it was way better than last year. To commemorate this, I've been working on free art for those I encountered and had a blast with at the con. Again, thanks for making it awesome yet again :D

FCN Iron Challenge
Posted 12 years agoSo just to update you on what's been happening since my last journal.
I've met some really awesome peeps at FCN this year. Made bonds i'll treasure. Downright it was an awesome ass con. I'll be writing a report about it shortly. Anywhore, now it's time to get to work. I promised free art to those I hung out with and I stick to my word. It's kind of a long list, but I shall get to everyone.
