Looking for someone to commission
Posted 15 years agoI am interested in commissioning someone to do a picture of me in this form
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4293775
I'm looking for someone who can do fairly realistic images and is good with muscle, slime, and glossy highlights.
If anyone can point me to an artist, I would greatly appreciate it.

REQUESTS, Trades, and Commissions. Details Details Details!
Posted 16 years agoI'm currently working on a site that may draw the interest of those around here, and I have some questions about requests, trades, and commissions.
What I'm interested in developing, is a system to help keep all parties related to a commission on the same page. Somewhere to keep a record of what has been agreed upon as far as details and prices. I'm hoping for an easy way to provide and access references for each and every character in a commission as well as a solid process for transferring art at full resolution while verifying both payment and receipt of art.
This last part is what I'm truly curious about.. While the actual transferal of payment would be done elsewhere (PayPal, etc..), the confirmation that the art was received, that the payment was received, and the upload and download of the actual art would be on this part of my site.
The thing I'm looking for is what sort of process you (as the artists and commissioners) would desire to be the most fair to all involved parties.
And.... sorry about the misleading title...

Hard_Drive-- Solid_State_Drive++ Age++
Posted 16 years agoWell, my birthday has come and gone, which means a couple things.
1. I can't use "I'm not old enough" as an excuse to avoid alcohol anymore. Now I'll just have to flat-out say no.
2. I got my Super Talent 32GB SSD and got it installed with Windows 7 64Bit build 7100 on it.
3. I now truly love how fast SSDs are ^__^
4. My 500GB Seagate is 'recognized' by Windows, but it doesn't know how big it is, and I can't get to my files on it. I was really hoping that only part of the drive got f'ed up and that at least some of my stuff would remain intact.
5. Did I say SSDs are awesome? :)
6. Looking at a Western Digital 1TB HDD to keep all my random files on.

Looking for a new hard drive. Any suggestions?
Posted 16 years agoAvoid 500GB Seagate Barracudas..
I built my computer around a year ago, and it's been running great, until about a week ago. Narrowed it down to the hard drive, which seems to be failing more and more each day. This morning, my computer wouldn't do anything other than lt me move my mouse around, and upon reboot, it wouldn't load either of my OS's (dual boot on two partitions on the same drive). I tried to reformat the partition without any unbacked-up files, and the drive couldn't even be found by the OS install disks (tried multiple OS's).
On the other hand, tech support was absolutely excelent, and I soon had SeaTools for DOS burned to a CD (using my cheap laptop). But, with 90 errors on the drive on the first test, and a completely failed test on a second attempt, I went to NewEgg to see what people were saying.
It seems that these drives have been crapping out a lot, and the rating has gone down a lot since I bought the thing.
But for now, I'm looking toward Western Digital, as their ratings seem to be much higher. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Something I've come to notice on FA...
Posted 16 years agoA commercial came on tv. It was a Geico commercial.
FA was already open, and the search link was right there.
35 results... How could there be so little porn of that cute, little, innocent gecko?

Yes, It's True!
Posted 17 years agoThe square root of green is blue! (approximately (using integer math))
sqrt(GREEN) //The color green
sqrt(00FF00h) //Green's representation in the hex code used to display green on your screen
sqrt(65,280) //Green, again, but with 00FF00h converted to decimal
255.499511 //Calculate the square root
255 //But, hey, this is integer math, we don't want any fractions here
0000FFh //Convert 255 from decimal into hex
BLUE //0000FFh is the hex code for blue, as seen on your screen
So, there it is, the square root of green is blue!!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!
Posted 17 years agoI hope everyone got good presents today.
Wait... I got 'em mixed up again didn't I?
October 31 == December 25
OCT 31 == DEC 25
31 in Octal == 25 in Decimal
3*8^1 + 1*8^0 == 2*10^1 + 5*10^0
Join me tomorrow for when I prove that the square root of green is blue
