Another year come and gone.

Been a chill day for the most part, nice dinner with the family. That said I’m hoping the next year will be more eventful.

Another year's gone by in what seems like very little time or fanfair.

All things considered was a pretty laid back day. Spent the evening with my folks which was pleasant, mom picked up some crab legs which were great and spent the rest of the time there watching/dissecting Wheel of Time with my dad. Got a call from a few of my younger cousins which was humorous since she was more preoccupied with eating ice cream than actually talking but was still nice.

The ice cream cake my parents got for me (Reese's) is still over there since we were all pretty full after dinner, though mom has prophesized that it won't survive the weekend once my dad actually tries it. I suspect she might be right so I'll need to drop by saturday to make sure he doesn't eat it all by himself.

Brother ordered Transformers Legacy Motormaster for me so I could finally have all the Stunticons and form up Menasor. Meanwhile my folks got me a nice little blank book to match the ones my dad and brother got for their birthday's, the plan is to fill it up with short stories transcribed from DnD sessions. Finally everybody pitched in to help order a reclining love seat (hate to call it that) so that we finally have something in the living room to sit in and replace that gross sofa we got rid of last(?) year.

So yeah, all in all has been a pretty good day.

Just got off the phone with my brother.

Dante passed away.

Sometime after I left for work he left his bed, picked a spot in the hallway, and just stopped. He was only seven.

I feel hollow.

Have just learned that  ChaosCoyote has passed away unexpectedly earlier today.

For well over a decade I've had the pleasure of attending streams and BSing with this guy, he was a great and talented friend who was always quick to write up a quick short for whatever idiotic scenario we happened to be discussing at the time or help out whenever you needed it. We had the collective pleasure of being known as the Toony Trio alongside  foxlover91, which has been one of the few social circles I've had the pleasure and privilege of being part of.

I will forever miss you my friend.

Passed a test for work which means I will be adding another license to my paycheck. Hopefully the pay raise we were supposed to be getting response still goes through because then that won’t be even more money in my wallet on top of what I’ll be getting for this.

All in all been a productive few days and now I can afford to sleep a little easier before my Standby shift starts Friday.

Completed another rotation around the sun today. Gonna see if I can try to accomplish a few things around the house before I see if there's anything planned for the rest of the day. Hoping I can score tickets to see It: Chapter 2 tomorrow but we'll see.

Got the call this morning that my grandmother had passed while I was at work, on the one hand can't say it's much of a surprise given she's been in and out of the hospital since last month. From what I have gleamed the cause was cardiac arrest though there might be more to it than that, not sure at this time.

Dad is holding up okay all things considered, he and mom will be flying back to the island tomorrow morning. Brother and I will be staying here to watch the house among other things, probably take the week off from work to try to get a few things in order around here for my folks.

More recently the local cinemas in my area got the brilliant idea to start doling out assigned seating and taking reservations to go along with the renovations they've been making to add fancy new reclining chairs that literally cut the holding capacity of any given stadium more or less in half. Because of this the past few times I've gone to see a movie it's been a real pain in the ass to get enough seats to accommodate myself with/near any of my family, to the point that for SHAZAM! and Hellboy my brother and I had to snipe supposedly booked seats to avoid being crammed directly in front of the screen to get our ears blown out by a speaker just so we could actually watch the aforementioned movies.

Enter today.

So given the previously aforementioned drama last week I pre-ordered tickets ahead of time to watch Avengers: Endgame with my family today, even picked up the tickets yesterday after work just so we could avoid standing in line. We get to the theater where we come to find out that the theater screwed up and gave me tickets for next week. Naturally we hunted down the manager who assured us that he was absolutely useless, couldn't do anything about it, and sought to placate us by scattering us in the very front row to which there is next to no visibility if you actually want to watch the movie let alone leave with your hearing intact. Ultimately refused on the grounds that the mistake was on their end and demanded he give us our money back, and naturally the movie is sold out for the rest of the weekend and most of the upcoming week so regardless of what theater we go to we won't be watching the movie any time soon.

 Ebonyleopard is currently doing a YCH project featuring multiple characters in the midst of an orgy.

Right, has anyone else been having problems with pictaro lately? For almost a week now I haven’t received any notification from them whenever any of the streams I follow start, they’re set up to be emailed to me at my yahoo account but I haven’t received anything from them in the past four or five days. I already check my spam folder to make sure they weren’t winding up there (they’re not) and I’ve checked the settings on my pictaro account several times but so far I can’t find the problem.

Thoughts?

 thepurplehusky has found herself in a bit of a rough spot for the past few weeks, both personally and financially, and could use a little help. Con was great! Brother and I have come to realize that we're horribly out of practice when it comes to attending any sort of Con, we've known we were going to be attending AC this year since December but put very little thought into planning anything for it beyond where we were staying. It was nice meeting up with people we haven't seen in a while and bumping into a few people I've only met online, was surprised to find out there were quite a few people I didn't expect to see attending this year.

Between moving to a new place and paying off all the bills I really wasn't able to commission all that much art this year but honestly that probably worked in my favor. Still managed to hit up some great artist during the con and was even able to get my brother to commission two pics while we were there. The rest of the con was spent socializing with whoever we happened to find walking around or in the Zoo and exploring Pittsburgh within the surrounding area, didn't realize we were so close to the cultural district so we'll be better prepared to check out some broadway shows next time we head up that way. Had some really good Italian cuisine for dinner Saturday, regret that we hit the end of our budget since otherwise we probably would have eaten there again before we left.

The trip back was mercifully uneventful, flights were all smooth and we ended up making it back about an hour earlier than expected which meant we didn't need to call a cab to pick us up and got to spend time with dad before he took off to work.

Gotta give shout outs to  carrot,  ebonyleopard,  kayla-na,  rgibson,  thepurplehusky,  lizziebean,  gnaw,  darknatasha, &  michelelight for letting us hang with them and the amazing art. And to whoever it was that let us whoop the snot out of them in Tekken/Killer Instinct at the Zoo sunday night, had a lot of fun! =3

Brother and I lucked out and managed to find ourselves a duplex that's located between work and my parents place. Just finished moving the bulk of our stuff into the new place today, whole family spent the day helping us out naturally everyone's tired. Crashing at my folks place until we can finish organizing everything and make things a bit more livable.

All that's really left is to collect the cats, Dante has developed a bad habit of disappearing whenever I'm planning on taking him anywhere. So now I need to put out an APB and see if the neighbors can help corral him the next time he shows up, which with my old neighbors really shouldn't be too hard since unlike the other tenants of my previous residence we actually get along.

Still going to be without the net for the time being until we can make arrangements to have them come down and install it but probably just wait until after we get back from AC. Family isn't more than 5 mins out from my new place so will be able to pop on regularly until things get settled.

Right so basically one of my current roommates is trying to strongarm everyone into paying him for the net. The long and short of it is that my brother and I will be looking into getting our own place because we refuse to pay this parasites portion of the rent let alone for something that up until now was supposed to be covered in the rent.

Honestly this is something that has been a long time coming. Initially we were trying to wait until after their Anthro con to move out but unfortunately with the way things have been going we’re just going to expedite sooner. This is more for people familiar with  foxlover91. Just heard back from him in Puerto Rico, he's fine storm took out the power so he is without the net for a while. Don't know when he'll be back on again but he's doing fine, and so nobody has to worry about him. =3

Another year come and gone, between everything happening with Harvey and Irma though though I don't really think there's much celebrate. All the same everyone stay safe.

Well 2017 is certainly off to a good start. Store is closing down so come late March to early April I'll be unemployed once again, honestly can't say that I'm really surprised since the store had been going downhill for a while and we all kinda saw this coming but still it's inconvenient. Been looking around for a new job even before we got the news but so far haven't had any new opportunities arise, so for the time being it's just grinding away at job applications until someone decides to give me a chance.

To cap it off got into a fender bender on the way back to work from lunch yesterday right outside McDonalds when me and another driver came in at more or less the same time, thankfully nobody was hurt and damage to both vehicles was minimal but it's just another thing to worry about. Will be taking the car to the shop later to make sure the damage isn't worse than I realize and see how much it will cost to repair everything.

Hey hey!

Wishing everyone here a very Merry Christmas, really hope you're all having a jolly one. Spending the day with my family because really where else would I be? Folks know I'm a Baltimore Ravens fan so they got me some nice Raven's memorabilia this year, so I'll be watching the game today in my new jersey. Oso got some new toys and a box of treats which he quickly squirreled away to eat on the carpet, so naturally he's a happy puppy. Will be running out later to grab something for Dante and Lilly for the next time I see them both later this week. All in all it's been a pretty good Xmas so far, will be making a few phone calls later to check up on a few friends.
