There should be more information posted the night before. Mind you, the commissions are opening 1 minute after midnight on the 28th CENTRAL STANDARD TIME, so that's late Thursday/early Friday, however you want to classify it to yourself. Folks who email an hour early because they're on EST will miss out, so be ready if you're interested. 0:01 CST = 1:01 EST (or 22:01 PST Sept 27th)

I'll try and help out with any questions folks have beforehand if you wanna post here.

Fred has made mention that he will be taking some commissions online this Friday, July 13th, via his eBay account. The way he's working it is he'll offer 50 slots for around $45-50 each. For every character you want in a commission, you'll need to buy 1 slot. So a 3 character commission would have to buy 3 slots. Or if you wanted 2 commissions starring one character each, you would buy 2 slots.

Hopefully that's not too confusing for folks. It'll be first come, first bought so make sure you're ready for them.

So who's playing it? I won't get my copy until Wednesday but I've seen some folks who got it at Midnight EDT, had to wait 3 hours for the servers to be up in the US, then took another hour + until they could squeeze into the game. XD I'm glad I'm waiting a lil bit.

Got the new HD running on my puter. Old HD is still not accessable so everything is lost unless I can pay for a data recovery service.

Well, 2 days after I installed the new power supply, my hard drive started acting funny... and now it's dead. My computer doesn't even see that it's installed. So... fuck. >.<;; Still looking at ASUS laptops. Best Buy and Office Depot have basically the same model that I've been thinking of getting:

I got a new power supply for my computer which my co-worker at GameStop was able to replace for me, so this puter is working for me once again. With it up and running, I'm going to focus my attention on my new computer among laptops. So what do folks recommend as a good brand? I should note that I'm not a Mac/Apple guy, so it'll have to be Windows 7 based. ^^

3 years and 2 months after buying the computer that replaced my last computer due to it's bursting into flames, I've lost another computer a few days ago. This time to an apparent power supply failure, though it'll be a while before that's confirmed since this one is an HP computer and it has a propriatery <sp> HP power supply that I can't just replace with any ole ps bought from a store.

Borrowing my dad's laptop for the weekend so I'm not totally off the grid, but boy does it suck not to have internet and the abilities to hang out and game with all my online buds.

So since it HAS been 3 years, I'm looking into getting a whole new system, even if I do get that one repaired. I'm asking here for some recommendations from readers of this journal into a good, hardy system that's under $1,000. I don't need some amazing game machine that's over-clocked to the gills. Just something that I can run the various chatting apps like AIM, MSN, Steam, Skype, IRC, and Livestream while allowing me to play an old MMORPG like FFXI.

One of my local friends who's rather computer knowledgeable (He's all Microsoft certified and that stuff) tells me I shouldn't settle for less then a core i7 with 4 cores, 8 threads; 8+ gb ddr3 ram; 1+tb hd 7200+; and a graphics card that's 1gb nvidia 460gtx or better.

I have monitors and the rest, it's just the desktop tower I need. Though I saw some pretty sweet monitor/computer all-in-one systems when I looked at Best Buy and hhgregg. None were i7 though. :/

So the trip up to Nekocon and back took quite a while. Just over 14 hours on the way up and just under 13 hours on the way back. The convention itself was quite fun. I met a couple new folks from here and FFXI and hung out with friends most of the time during the days. I didn't bother hitting the dealer's room since the main two reasons I went was to take my roommate who'd never been to an anime con before and to get some new artwork. I crashed for around 14 hours of sleep after getting back home. *yawns* I got a couple new pics for my old lingerie book as well as a couple new pieces for the Big Book.

As usual, it'll take me a while to scan in the BB pages since they're oversized. I have to scan them in as 4 pics then piece them together via Photoshop. I hope to post some stuff here in a day or two.

Made myself a new avatar image today in honor of my favorite Gundam mobile suit, the Hi-Nu Gundam. The artwork is from a sprite rip someone just did for SD Gundam G Generation Spirits. The newest game in the series, SD Gundam G Generation WARS, is coming out in just 4 days so I'm quite anxious to get my hands on it. :D

Well, Thanksgiving was great but the day after kind of sucked. Turned on my computer and it didn't see any HD. Turns out it died sometime during the night when the computer wasn't on. This on a 5 week old HP computer I'd bought at Best Buy.

Why did I buy a computer at Best Buy? Well, my last two computers I bought online and were specially made for me. The first lasted 7 years and the second 5. That second one's motherboard fried itself during the night some 6 weeks ago for unknown reasons. Again, it was after I'd been on it the day before, turned it off to go to bed for the night, then in it's case, woke up to the smell of burning plastic.

So... I thought I'd buy a computer from a local place that could do quick and easy repairs if I had any hardware problems. And that'd be Best Buy, right? Right....? >.>

Turns out I was wrong. Mind you, I won't have to pay for the repairs to the HD, BUT... they don't replace broken HDs. Instead, they try to fix them first... and they don't fix them at the local Best Buy. So they're shipping it off to their fix-it center in Kansas City. Estimated time to repair/replace and ship it back is 4-5 weeks. <.< No replacement computer either, so I'm back on my laptop.

Ah well, live and learn.
