I have here a synchronmotor made by AEG, but it doesn't want to work.

It got wet while it worked, then I dried it and now it doesn't want to work again, BUT I can measure a resistance of 0.57 megaOhms so the coil must be okay.

I bought a clock today where you can adjust 3 melodies. Westminster, Whittington and St. Michael -Chime.
I won't say how much I payed for it, but I can say it's not as much as for the Comtoise XP

I got my Comtoise today :3
It works perfectly. The chime is a so-called <<Repeating chime>>; that means the chime repeads two minutes after the full hour chimed.
That was very useful in the 18th century, where no one had watches. If the farmer was on the field and suddenly heared the chime, but wasn't sure how late it is, so he waited two minutes and listend carefully to the chime. Then he knew how late it is.

It has a verge escapement and is antique.
Made before 1880, the pendulum is with the clock just no weights.
But I have already some here^^
