Fursuit and art commissions opening February 18th
General | Posted 15 years agoYes thats right I am opening 2 partial, half or full fursuit commissions on February 18th 2011. I will also be opening commission slots for fursuit parts as well.
Below is a list of prices, these are the base prices, the more complex a fursuit is the more expensive it will be. 99% of suits though will fall under the base prices.
Suit Packages:
All suits come with these options for free: full foam or balaclava head, 3D eyes, detailed mouth inside, pawpads if requested and your choice of indoor or outdoor feet
Partial suit; Head, handpaws, feet, tail and sleeves - $500+
Half Fursuit; Head, handpaws, feet, tail, and either pants or a top - $600+
Full Fursuit; Head, handpaws, feet, tail and bodysuit - $750+
Package ad-ons:
Plastic Frame construction, comes with a moving jaw - +$50
Detailed Teeth Set - +$20
Bodysuit Padding (fullsuit only) - +$20 or more depending on requirements
digigrade legs (half or fullsuit only) - +$20

Rainfurrest con Report!
General | Posted 15 years agoHey hey alls I'm back from Rainfurrest (apt name for the weather right now) and it was tonnes of fun and exhausting as hell! Heres a breakdown of the fun and not so fun things that happened to me this weekend.
I picked up the car from my mom thursday afternoon and drove out to pick up
tonic_demonic the two of us then went and hung out at my place for an all nighter of movies and sillyness. At about 5:00am Friday morning we packed up the car and headed down to Seattle. Now this is where the fun begins
Any of you who have visited my profile page know that I am canadian and other who have been following the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) debate know that Canadians can go through channels to be able to sell things in the United States. I went through such channels not fully understanding the rules and I filled my dates wrong.
So I get to the border, the border guard asks the standard questions and when we tell him we are going to a convention, the guard asks me if I am selling anything at the con I am going to and I tell him yes. We get pulled into the office and I hand them my papers and they tell me that I did not have the right paper work. So they gave me two options. At first I was terrified that my stuff would be confiscated or I would be arrested but. They told me I was going to be barred from the country until the end of the weekend (when the con was over) and my passport would be red flagged permanently. My heart sank at this point and I felt the need to cry.
Before I continue I want to thank the border guard that actually was at the booth we pulled into because he came from there to explain my situation to the rest of the crew and take over filing my processing papers. He explained to me that he can not let me into the country with the good I have to sell but he gave me the option to go back home, drop the stuff off and come back with nothing to sell at the convention. I breathed a sigh of relief, though still frustrated I would not have anything to sell at the con I love so much. So we were turned around and went back to tonic_demonic's place where we dropped off all my goods, save for my luggage, our fursuits and my art supplies.
At the border they looked through the car and let us through without a hassle. I really do what to thank that border guard for being so understanding and kind. He understood that we really wanted to go and that I made an honest mistake. The lesson here is not to lie to the border guards and tell them the truth even if the outcome is not really in your favor as they will be more willing to work with you and work something out even if it was not your original plan.
So we get to the Marriot and I head out to the dealers room determined to sell stuff regardless of my lack of display or my lack of stuff to sell. So I set up my little netbook I brought with a slideshow of my art and write out a commission price list and some other signs. Later on I went to Walmart and bought some foamboard and some cardstock to do commissions on.
Sales went okay the destict lack of art to show people was a hinderance and so was the lack of fursuit example as well. But I did end up doing a few commissions and selling a few fursuit commissions as well along with some of the premade tales I will be shipping out tomorrow and the rest of this week. For those who were not there I had a photo of the pile of tails I was going to bring and sold off of that haha.
Friday evening I didnt do much, I hung out with
temrin and her mate as well as 
soulscape and tonic_demonic I also went to dinner at Jack in the Box where I ate WAY too much and got a little stomach ache lol was so hungry. We met some other furs there who were a little drunk so I offered them a ride back to the hotel
Saturday morning sales went awesome I started selling little $1 badges I would sketch out in front of people and I ended up selling almost 50 of them by saturday end. Saturday night was fun, My group of friend went to the art jam where I got to hang with
Kadath 
ksharra and a lot of other amazing artists. After that we went to the room and had a few drinks (well i had more than a few all I can say is I am never drinking tequilla again lol) and at about 3:00am we had some early breakfast at dennys.
Sunday was pretty chill I did a couple more commissions and derp badges but didnt sell that much, spent most of the time wandering the dealers hall looking for last minute awesome from people, ended up getting a metal version of my Lizardbeth con badge from FC and some comics from Furplanet
We left the Marriot at about 5:00 and had no troubles at the border. Will miss you Rainfurrest see you next year

So unfortunately I have to close commissions for now so I don't get too far behind. What this means though is that I am taking a waiting list for people who are still interested in getting a commission from me later this summer.
All you need to do is reply to this journal and tell me that you want to be on the wait list for a commission. I will then put you on the waitlist and you will have first dibs on commissions when I open them again.

The preparation for AC is in full swing and I will be ready with tails, balaclavas and all sorts of fun stuff at my table at AC this year!
On top of that I have a partial fursuit auction online right now that will be ending two weeks after Anthrocon. The starting bid is $450 and will be the first commissions to feature my new plastic construction method. Thats right I've replaced the soft plastic mesh with hard durable plastic that will outlast the faux fur itself!

Yup I will have bunch of originals in the general and adult section as well as a partial fursuit in the 3D section of the art show. BTW the fursuit species is a surprise that will be revealed shortly before the con!

I'm going to be selling prints or my more recent art. I don't know if I will be doing a CD this year but that is a possibility if I have time. Prints will be $10-$25 for an 8.5x11

Yup yup badges are going to be $10 for a small(bussiness card size) $20 for a medium (about 4x6), $30 for a large (about 6x8) or $40 for Jumbo (about 8.5x11)
Will you have Art in the Art Show?
Yup I will have bunch of originals in the general and adult section as well as a partial fursuit in the 3D section of the art show. BTW the fursuit species is a surprise that will be revealed shortly before the con!

There are plenty of tails and fursuits and other nice things coming very soon. So keep an eye out and you will see some cool stoof coming.
Also I am going to be at Anthrocon in the dealers hall. I'll be at table B04 so come and say hi and buy some things. I'll have a bunch of fursuit tails and balaclavas as well as art and other cool stuff!
I'll also be taking art commissions and fursuit commissions so if I do not have anything you like I can make it for you after the con.

Important Message to Commissioners

Saturday night I was in a car accident. Please don't worry I'm okay but I have a three bruised ribs, a bruised and possibly fractured sternum (yay seatbelts), and a plethora of other minor (maybe not so minor) injuries.
That this means for you good people is that I will probably be unable to continue on my commissions for a week or so while my injuries heal.
Sorry for the delay guys but I have not forgotten about you. Thank

Yes I am still in financial do do, things are going a little better only because of the generosity of other furs out there. I really want to thank all of you who have bought art from me and an advance thank you to all the people who will soon.

New Podcast - Fursuitcast

I am starting a new podcast for those who want to make their own fursuits! I'm calling it fursuitcast!
The way this podcast is going to work is you guys are going to send in emails to fursuitcast[at]gmail.com with all questions about fursuit performing and fursuit making.
I am going to try to do a recording in the next couple of weeks or so so please send me in your questions about fursuits and I will do my best to answer them. I am also going to try to get guests on that have experience with fursuits.

I'm going to be making a bunch of white fursuit handpaws with black or pink paw pads and I was wondering if there was anyone who is interested in placing an order for them.
If you preorder I will knock off $5 from the normal price just cuz I like you guys.
The starting price for them will be$40 $35
So heres the deal. The paws will be white, medium pile fur and will have either black, shiney pleather or pink fleece paw pads. On top of that they will be elbow length and have detachable sleeves so they can be worn with a long sleeve shirt.
If you would like markings added to the paws or claws added (your choice of colour) for and additional $10 for each.
I could also for an extra $10 drybrush the whole paw a single colour. Though other colours are coming soon!

Away for the holidays + commissions closed
General | Posted 16 years agoThis is just a quick message to everyone. I'm gonna be away for the next two weeks so I might not have interwebs. I will also not have my tablet though i will have my sketch book so those commissions that i have not started i will start while on the road and finish when i get back.
Also due to my commission load I will not be taking anymore commissions untill my load is smaller. This should only take a few weeks after I get back so if you are wanting to commission me I should be open again in mid to late January.
