Heyo. It's been another brutal and particularly long summer for your favorite latino blue dragon (HAH!), but as we near Easter Sunday I thought I might let everybody (and more importantly, potential customers) know of my situation.

Starting Monday next week, I'm officially free from my seasonal job. However, I'm kinda dead and I really need some time off dealing with responsibilities and people (in general). As such I plan to take between 2-3 weeks depending on how I feel before I start opening for comms again.

As usual I seem to have gathered a bit of interest from people wanting particular comms from late November to now. My list runs 4 people long so far and as always before I even think of opening pub slots I'll revisit these people in the order they approached me to confirm interest and work with their ideas if they still want to.

Hello everyone! After careful consideration, I've decided to go over a few changes to my ToS, chiefly where pricing is concerned.

Ever since the last price increment some years ago I've maintained the same value. I think I've been fair with them so far and I plan to continue being fair as well, but I also believe that the level of effort and time I put into writing could use a bit more monetary appreciation. Henceforth, my plan is to change my pricing model.

- Public and particular slots will no longer be proportionately related.
- Public slot prices will go up from $8 a page to $10 a page.
- Particular slot prices will go up from $16 to $18 a page.

These changes will soon be reflected in my official Terms of Services for everyone to see, and they will be effective starting on 2025. It's difficult for me to feel like I deserve charging more for my writing, even with over 15 years of experience and over a decade of charging for my services. But I'd like to keep my motivation up and also be able to turn this into a more reliable source of income for my off-season. Eat and be able to generally stay alive, in other words. It's my hope clients both old and new find these changes fair and agreeable.

Now, I'd like to address the fact that I haven't opened pub slots at all this year.

The truth is, I haven't been compelled to; in large part due to the high demand I've had from particular customers and the relatively large projects they bring to me. I feel comfortable with this mode of work. This is why the increase in price for particular is smaller than pubs; as a way to acknowledge particular client's additional monetary effort.

In short: The price increase is to compel me to want to work more as a writer on demand, while at the same time having a better appraisal of my time and effort.

With transparency out of the way, my availability wanes starting this month. I know I have people interested in more particular slots, and I am keeping a list so that I don't forget. But as usual, I will be creatively impeded by my summer job which will hold me hostage until the later part of April. I'm as always thankful for people's patience. I'll give particular customers priority and contact them in order come my time of freedom from this job.

Hello! I hope everyone's had a great year so far. I have mixed feelings as far as March goes. There's just so much uncertainty in my country with the all the new stuff wrought by a new government. I have to believe things will get better with time. Goods' prices inflation seems to be getting less explosive, but it simply won't stop; so everything keeps getting more and more expensive while salaries struggle to keep up! Aaaaaa!

That said, I've been as careful with my savings as I've been permitted, so I should be able to coast through the year while still self-employing as a writer. It's what I like to do, and it always makes me happy when I give someone their story and they love it, so I hope to continue doing it for many years to come.

Self-reflection aside, let's talk about the [Plan]! As most of my regular clients know, my productivity dies from late November to early April because of my highly-demanding seasonal job, which ends after Easter, which this year is Sunday March 31st. Because my country LOVES Bridge Holidays, they're going to be making Monday April 1st and Tuesday April 2nd part of the Holy Weekend (resulting in a 6 day long weekend, which tourists are sure to take advantage of!), so the last day I'll be working will be April 2nd. I'll be officially free from the third and onwards until November rolls back!

I'm currently feeling the piled-up exhaustion, so it's highly likely I'll take a rest. People say I should take a month off, but last year I tried that and by week 3 I was walking on the ceiling (productivity anxiety!), so I doubt it'll be longer than two weeks. I additionally have a commitment on the weekend of April 14th, so I'll be traveling around that date.

If you've been eagerly waiting for me to start taking commissions again, my availability is most likely to fully come back on April 16th onwards. As usual, I will give priority to customers who wish to hire me for particular comms first before I even think of opening public slots. If you have been wanting me to write your idea and do not wish to wait until I open public slots and/or don't wish to compete with other solicitors when those happen, feel free to approach me after April 16th to discuss! This gives you all plenty of time to start considering what you'd like me to write for you!

Whew. Now that I've put dates on everything, I somehow feel less encumbered. I'm hoping this journal gives people a good heads up!

Now, back to the grind and hoping my country doesn't implode in the following months. :D

It's been a busy winter for me; so many customers wanting chunky stories! I can't complain though. It let me flex the creative muscles and make some good money!

With this last story I just uploaded, I'm officially done with the waiting list of particular customers that started building up since December last year. I plan to take a bit of a rest before I open public slots. Probably will do so early or mid September, so be on the lookout! I will make sure to make an announcement in every gallery and on Twitter/X.

Alright so, I'm a half-dead dragon typing right now. Summer season was brutal (as usual) and I've accumulated enough stress and exhaustion to choke a whale. Last year I did not take vacations, and went straight from one job to another, and this year I'd like to do it a little differently.

Over the course of the past 4 months I've been contacted by multiple potential customers interested in particular commissions. However, I was unable to take up on their requests because I decided I would no longer deal with the horrid stress that is working an 11 hour, 6 days a week full time job AND writing with the quality I know my customers deserve.

So! My season officially ends after Holy Weekend (the 9th of this month), at which point I plan on taking vacations (me time!) that will last between 2 and 3 weeks depending on how I feel. I want to let everybody who contacted me for particular commissions know that I have not forgotten and that I plan on contacting each and every one in the order that they contacted me to check for interest, in case they still want a story written without having to wait for public slots.

Once I have gone through all of that after my vacations, I will see about opening public slots!

Well, this year was certainly a productive one for me. I have nothing but thanks and appreciation for everybody who bought a commission this year. So many people wanting particular commissions; you either did not want to wait or didn't want to compete for queues so much that I only ended opening public slots once! So many repeat customers! I love you all and your ideas. ♥

2021 ended on a sour note with a bad experience with a shady customer, and for a while it affected me negatively. But all the work I got this year not only helped me through that, it also reinforced my attitude going forwards as a freelancer. Here's hoping for more on 2023!

I also finally got over my reservations and fears over getting art commissions, getting my first pieces from the wonderful  kerothestrange who was so nice to me when I told her it was my first time, and then  tragicfame who accomodated my idea even though I was lacking owned ref sheets. From now on I'll be happy to become a patron of the arts as much as I contribute to the fandom with my writing. Looking forwards to more positive experiences. :D

I don't have much else to say about this year. For those who are still waiting on me to take more commissions (you know who you are, and thank you as always for being patient!), be aware that I'll be working full time through the end of March at the very least. South American summer gets really busy. Feel free to contact me around that time if you want a particular commissions, or keep an eye out for when I next open public slots.

Hello everybody! I have been busy writing for the past three months, mostly particular commissions. The reason I've been with trepidation over opening for the public again is the scam I was a victim of last year, where a customer breached trust and ghosted me after I finished their story. To take responsibility for that, I have edited my ToS in order to protect myself.

I also have decided to change my availability to the public by way of accumulating ideas over a period of 2 or so days so that I can work with those that I feel the most comfortable/excited with. This, I think, will allow everybody a fair chance that the "first come, first serve" modality felt a little restrictive with.

I have also added an addendum which covers the eventuality (which hasn't come up very much) that a customer wishes me not to upload their commission to my galleries, which will incur an additional cost.

In addition, I've somewhat altered my 'will not do' list, because upon rereading it I realized I was being a little too close minded with the whole 'BBW' thing. What I will not do is morbid obesity. I don't mind the chonks at all.

Does anyone use or know anybody who uses the site to receive commission payment? Saw you can link your PayPal to it.

PayPal is known to crack down on people who get payment for overtly lewd stuff. I researched and saw ko-fi is considered a donation and thus wouldn't be much of a red flag for PayPal.

Just wanna make sure the account I use to deposit payments is safe, so if anybody's got some handy knowledge please let me know in comments or in via Notes. Thank you :D

Hello, everybody! It's been quite some time since I've opened commission slots for the public, as you're all surely aware. When I first started getting paid for my writing over eight years ago, I had no idea about pricing and stuff, and I largely stuck with the same price this long thinking I couldn't afford to ask for more than I already was charging.

My way of thinking has gradually been changing as of last year. As I jumped between distractions, hobbies and learning last year during the pandemic, I didn't quite feel as prompted to do commissions as I usually did. However, customers began approaching me with the idea of paying me more for writing for them without them having to go through the usual channel of competing with other potential customers for limited amount of slots that I sparsely offer year-round to begin with! It's thanks to people like those who believe in and love my work enough to throw me extra cash that I finally decided to start valuing my own effort a little more.

As a result, my Terms of Service have been updated to reflect this change. I was thinking to finally open soon now that I'm in the last few steps of finishing another private commission at the moment of this writing, so I figured I'd let everybody know why commissions have been popping up even though I've not opened slots publically in a while.

The old ToS have been updated stylistically as well, and had certain sections rewritten because they looked off to me. The main changes are:

1) Pricing is now up from $5 a page to $8 a page.

2) There is a new private commission option for people who do not want to wait for me to open public slots. Obviously, I will not be taking private commissions if I haven't taken care of the public ones first, or if I'm in the middle of writing a private commission already.

Private commissions can be talked about in private via Notes and I will only take one at a time during the downtime between the usual 3-slot openings. Keep in mind these commissions, due to their nature of bypassing competition, have a 2x rate ($16 a page at the time of this writing) for their final pricing.

As a side note, I want to clarify private commissions will not bypass current public slots. If I already announced public slots are going to open or I'm in the middle of writing the first, second or third story of that batch, I will NOT take private commissions. Once a batch is finished and everybody's satisfied, I will be open for discussing private commissions.
