Okay so today was the very first day on the streets for my buisness "The Otaku Dragon", a shop that sells anything anime related. I had to set up at the local flea market but when i get there, a HUGE section of tables was blocked off by some people whom claimed to be reserving them. I called management and they said it was not allowed and would deal..they didnt..so i set up in the only open area there was, under a nice tree and a cool breeze. That was good for a couple hours but then the so called owner comes over and says "you cant set up here our insurence doesnt cover this area and you have to leave". Well i told him about what was going on with those other tables and he says, again, they were not allowed to do it and would deal with it. As i was leaving..guess what? Those same tables were STILL empty..and still blocked off by cars.

Now i ask you..how fair was that?

I do appologize to all those that wanted to come by and support my buisness...i will try again next week..and will hold the cosplay contest again then.

I have a question for you. If you were looking for any dvd, figure, or any other form of anime merch...but couldnt find it or didnt wanna pay FYE prices (i know for a fact they are double in store price of best buy)...what would they be?

Okay so i am sooo into the gunpla..gundam model kits...so much so that i took a zaku i had and customized it. Just a repaint but still. Anyway i plan to do more..i got a mega shiki on the way with some new parts and of course i am working on a crossbone repaint and new parts. Once done i will show them off to you all. But i do wanna know...what kind of gunpla do you all like? Any model or series that just makes you swoon? Or is there any specific gundam series you just adore and wish you had models for? James Hardiman, aka  skunkworks has passed...i remember the first time i saw some of his work in the genus comics. They had several bits done by him over the years. Then there was here on FA where i finally found his page a long time ago and watched him, then later on inkbunny. I can never forget his skunk sisters...they are my fave trio. I call upon you all to at least say farewell to him on his FA page. And if any artists out there think its a good idea..i say we put together a tribute book for him.

RIP Jim...you were one of the greats whom got me started in the fandom.

I would like some advice as to making a partial fursuit of my Fursona ryuki. So..lets start off with the small stuff please. By small stuff i mean tail and feet...how would i go about making both? Any suggestions on supplies i should use and were i might find them? is it possible to form the feet around say a pair of cheap slippers so i have some traction on slick serfaces?

I welcome any suggestions and comments on this one folks.

Okay so i have been watching the new season of the new avatar series and i gotta say...didnt see that coming. I have always wondered were the avatar power came from and the latest episode sure did explain it. Now i wont spoil things, and i hope no one else will either lol, but if you have not seen it yet...try to find it asap. You will be surprised. Its an hour long episode that explains the very first avatar and what is really going on.

Okay so i am driving to my morning class, back in college...yeah, and i have the radio on. On is this Bubby the Lovesponge guy...a radio personality who has a tendency to be a bit..crude. Now normally i enjoy the show..its not bad and sometimes can be funny. Plus its better than some of the crap on the airwaves at that time. This morning they were talking about sexual preferences after a bi woman got on the air to talk about her opinion of the Miley Cyrus incident...yeah the one at the VMA. They talked about the normal stuff...Bi, gay, that sort of thing. Then the one called Ned mentioned Furries.

Ho boy...warning this is going to probably be a shitstorm.

Ned, in all his so called wisdom, talked about furries being pervs that like to dress up as Barney the dinosaur and such and "pork around" (as he so colofully put it). This of course upset me knowing full well that we furries are nothing like that. And anyone that would spend hundreds for a costume just to mess it up while having sex is a total idiot. I was just about to call when...someone beat me to it. A furry named Randell living in Chalreston SC...my hometown...go figure. What happened next...shocked the fuck out of me.

This guy seemed to be on the level. He tried to explain that Bubba and Ned were wrong. Hell he even gave a general definition of what furries are...fans of anthropomorphic animals. Then things went wrong. Bubba started badgering the guy...asking questions like how can you be a furry and NOT have a costume? (Guy didnt have a costume..dont blame him, they are pricy as hell.) The guy calling tried to counter and even stated furries are a pretty creative bunch and like to create their own characters rather than dress up as one already established by a major tv network. This of course was responded with the statement bull. Then Bubba stated that Ned knows these things cause he went to a party were people did that. My reaction...ned is a dumbass thinking thats how furries truely are..and i am sure the guy calling was thinking the same thing. That guy Randell decided to, and maybe it was not smart but eh those guys were really annoying, dare Ned to go to a furry con and say what he says on the air right to their faces. Ned replied "And what? Am i gonna get beat up by a bunch of fags in bunny costumes?" and then played their little shut the fuck up and stop calling me clip before hanging up on the guy.

Now normally i am a nice guy...i can take a joke...but when these guys would not allow a person to state the facts and dismiss them cause one of them experienced things a certain way well that just pisses me off. Seriously if you are gonna insult people, or a fandom, expect people to call with info that contradicts yours and dont be a dick. I urge all furries to read and comment...if you wanna go a step further and create your own journals go for it. Do what you want with this info. As for me...i will no longer listen to Bubba and his Crew. They...have crossed a line they shouldn't have.

Okay so no one responded to my anime question...fine. But now i got a serious one to ask.

Cosplay.

Do any of you furs out there cosplay? And no i am not referring to fursuits..i mean cosplay as videogame, anime, tv, movie characters. And if so...as what? How much do you put into it? And how should i go about when it comes to makeing a costume of my fave anime characters? Will tell you which ones upon request.

As you all know (or may not know) i am a BIG fan of anime. With that said i have recently purchashed the latest addition to the Tenchi Muyo franchise...Tenchi Muyo War on Genimar.

This anime is just...a great addition. Now i have seen every tenchi series...and own most including the OVA (fave fyi). Now there have been bad ones...like Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in tokyo (in my opinion). And there are those that were..lacking like Tenchi GXP but were a good concept. And this latest one...is top notch. Great animation..cleaver new characters...and of course a hero that reminds me of a combination of Tenchi AND Seina Yamada. Kenshi Masaki...son of none other than Rea masaki (tenchi's stepmother). So that makes him Tenchi's little brother...my jaw dropped when i found out. Now i wont say anymore other than..check it out. Funimation has it on Youtube...for now. Granted its edited cause its youtube but thats fine. If you want the unedited and uncut version...buy it.

So if you all are done reading above and have not gotten bored...i want to ask people a question. You can tell from above that i like anime with action, comedy, and even a little ecci...if not alot of it hahaha! So i wanna know...what would YOU reccomend? It doesnt have to have all of the above in it..but i do wanna know what you would recommend i watch if not buy. Please...do not hesitate to tell me your ideas. If i have seen them...i will let you know hehe.

And i do mean that litterally. Thanks to that tropical storm hitting Florida, things here are turning ugly. We have random thunderstorms, high winds, and lots of rain. There is so much rain in fact that i will need to grab my body board and step out the front door.

See this place i live has one little problem...durring heavy rains the street floods turning into a river. It's pretty nasty and not to mention the people that live here are idiots and try to drive through it. Why a couple months ago a guy in a Ford truck tried to drive through it...and flooded his engin.

Welp he learned a lesson i hope.

Then there is the ditch that's almost directly behind my house, in truth its right behind my neighbor's place...can see it even from my yard and thanks to a turn in the street here it makes it so the ditch isnt behind me. That thing turns into the Nile and i actually saw some people in a boat one time.

So yeah...fucking hell weather.
