My cousin's wedding is this week, and I'm gonna be stuck in Bridesmaid Hell for just a few more days... The wedding is saturday, the rehearsal is friday, and I just dont think I'll be able to get the page out, since I still have to get the gift still and I'm covering some shifts at work to earn my days off... But, it'll all be worth it! just a few more days... plus my birthday coming up on wednesday, aw yis. I'm hoping a little break will also help my motivation with the comic too, I've been losing steam and I feel like quality is dropping off a bit

That being said, I'm going to work on parts of it when I can, so that hopefully we can have a double upload (wow) next week! considering the flow of the upcoming pages, this might end up working out best in the long run! I do believe some juicy parts are coming up soon... And it'd be nice to hasten that along

I've also got some catchup to do on my anatomy studies and art portfolio stuff... D'oh! I wasnt planning on uploading them, but I think that if I did, it would help me get some motivation... Plus, who knows, maybe some of you will like that sort of thing! I dunno

So for the last month or so, I've been casually scoping FA for an artist who excels at drawing muscular fellas, but as my search has ramped up in the last week, I haven't really had much luck... I'm a bit picky about these things, perhaps too picky... But I know there's gotta be folks out there who will do it and do it well!

For Perce, I'm mostly looking for a pinup type pic, from thigh or hip up. Maybe in b/w, maybe in color. (not too sure!) Nothin super fancy, just testing the waters for someone who can draw him well... (that nose is a dealbreaker for many, ahaha) For Killian, I'm more interested in a full body in flat or full color. probably dressed in either his casual clothes, or his gear!

Here are the rules and policies for my commissions, adoptables and custom designs, to help clarify my methods of doing business! Feel free to ask any questions if you're confused. This journal will be editted as needed, and changes will be marked and dated as needed too.

My rules and policies are as follows:

COMMISSIONS
:Payment, Policies, and Refunds:
-I reserve the right to refuse service, cancel commissions, give refunds as needed. When you--the customer--cancels a commission, a partial refund will be given based on how much work has been done. (if the work is about half done, then half the payment will be refunded, for example) If I personally cancel it due to emergency or other issues, then you will receive a full refund, regardless of how much work is done. WIPs may be destroyed or deleted when a commission is canceled. If you still have them, you may keep them for yourself, but I probably won't hold onto them myself.
-If a commission is something I can't or won't do, I will let you know upon your request. Don't be afraid to ask, I'd be happy to discuss it with you! I am generally open to trying new things and new types of art, and I do my best to be honest about what I can and can't do with confidence.
-Payment is to be handled up front, via paypal. Work will not begin until payment is received. Payments for commissions should only be handled via invoice, to keep in line with paypal's guidelines.
-If there is any deadline for a commission (e.g "I need this finished by valentines day") then you must inform me ASAP. An upcharge may apply, but it will depend on how much notice there is, and how short the deadline is.
-Prices may change depending on complexity, or additional work that may be involved. Ultimately, it is up to me how much a given piece will cost. When you contact me, I will confirm the price with you, and we can attempt to work out solutions based on your budget.
-My commissions tab is meant to serve as a general guideline, rather than a set-in-stone "menu" of options and prices. I'm open to working on pieces that don't necessarily fit under those categories. Things like comic pages, height charts, and unusual types of reference sheets are totally within my range of experience! But the pricing for these will be a bit different.

:Usage of Commissioned Art:
-The piece is "owned" by the customer who paid for it. If you did not pay for it, then you probably shouldn't use it without permission.
-You--the customer--can repost your commission anywhere, but I would appreciate if you credit me! You may freely use your commission for icons, wallpapers, banners, and other non-profit, personal uses. Credit and/or a link back to my FA page is super nice, but not required.
-Please let me know beforehand if you intend to use my artwork or designs for a commercial product (book/game cover, packaging, advertisement, print, or similar) so that we can discuss the matter and work out an agreement.
-If you DO NOT want the piece posted, or credited to you, there is no charge for anonymity or privacy. Just let me know as soon as possible.
-If you DO NOT want me to use the piece for my own promotional purposes (i.e commission examples, portfolio, or self-advertisement) then please let me know! Otherwise, I will use the art for these purposes at my own discretion. This does not include making prints of a piece: in that eventuality, I will contact you for permission first.

:Queue and Waiting List:
-To be officially placed on the commission queue you must contact me within 3 days of your initial inquiry. Otherwise, you'll be bumped to the waiting list.
-If payment is not received within 3 days of my invoice, you may be bumped off the queue and to the waiting list. Unless reasonable notice is given that you can't pay on time, and even then it's still up to my discretion whether you're placed on the waiting list or not.
-If you miss claiming a slot, you may request to be put on the waiting list. But this will only be done on a case-by-case basis.

:Streams:
-If you would like work on your commission streamed, please let me know so I can schedule it with you. If scheduling doesn't work out, or if I'm not comfortable doing it on stream, I may refuse.
-If you would like a commission to NOT be streamed, please let me know ASAP.

:SUMMARY:
-Payment is due up front, via invoice
-Pricing will be adjusted for complexity or extra work
-Additional charges may apply if the piece is required to be finished by a certain date
-No charges for privacy or anonymity: just let me know as soon as possible
-Commissioned pieces may be reposted, and can be used freely for the customer's personal purposes. (in the case of commercial/for profit use, you must contact with details BEFOREHAND)

ADOPTABLES AND CUSTOM DESIGNS
:Adoptables:
-If you purchase an adoptable from me, then you now own that design, and may use it however you wish. Legally, the design is now yours and may be altered as you see fit: name, gender, appearance, species, backstory, personality, anything. I have no responsibility over your usage of the design: once it's sold to you, it's yours.
-You may gift or share an adoptable as you see fit.
-You may trade or resell the design as you see fit. though I'd appreciate if you wouldn't try to sell them for more than you paid, if additional artwork of the design hasn't been accumulated: I will be more hesitant to sell to you in the future if I find out that you've resold them for personal profit.
-If you would like to credit me on toyhou.se, my account there is Drasus. You may also credit me with a link to my furaffinity page if you'd prefer.

:Custom Designs:
-if you commission a custom design from me, then you now own that design and may use it however you wish. -If the design was made for you FOR FREE, then you must verify that I agree to pass ownership to you. Otherwise, I will continue to consider the design mine; don't assume that because I made it based on something you said or asked, that it's automatically for you, or is yours. If there has been no agreement made, and no payment has been made, then the ownership of the design has not necessarily changed hands to you. Failure to verify ownership (in severe cases) may result in my refusal to do further business with you.
-You may trade or resell the design as you see fit. Though I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't try to sell them for more than you paid, unless additional artwork of the design has been accumulated: I will be more hesitant to do business with you in the future if I find out that you've resold a custom design for personal profit.

As usual, let's review the goals I made last year!

"Do another Iron Artist! 100 pieces from January 1st to April 10th." ☑ Check! \o/

"Make more adoptables! My goal is to release new adoptables every friday this year!" ☑ I gave up on "a batch every week" early on... But I think I did more adoptables than before, at least! (29 compared to 10!) I was happy with the sales, and I'd like to continue doing more, every now and then!

"Produce AT LEAST ONE finished comic one-shot. I'd like it to be at least 10 pages!" ☑ Eheh, well... It wasn't a one shot, but I did about 10 pages! I'd say that counts for something

"Work on my CharaDex some more! I'd really like to make entries for some of my more prominent characters: Cosette, Adelaide, Emile, Vasha, Rosamund, Aysel, Castellia, Luka, Alban, and of course, Percival." ☐ ............ I forgot I said I was gonna do that. OOPS

"Solidify some of my world building. For awhile, I've been wanting to make some documents/illustrations detailing certain aspects of the world my characters inhabit for my own use as well as to help others better understand." ☑ A lot of the worldbuilding is solidified now, but I didn't get around to making the illustrations or publicly releasing anything... Ah well, it is still shaping up well!

So, 4/5! Really, that's a fantastic year in my book: usually I average at 3/5!

But I think this year, since I'm so busy with the comic making process and all... I'm going to only make THREE art-based resolutions.

Go back to basics. At least once a month, I'd like to devote some time to figure sketching, anatomy practice, and general studies. Of course, I want to improve over the course of the year, but I think this is the best way for me to do it right now!

Continue my work on comic making, (but remember to take breaks!) Keep on trucking! But don't work so hard that I burn out... Shouldn't be at all impossible!

Build a portfolio. I'd actually like to build 2: an illustration portfolio, and a character design/concept art portfolio! I want to have at least one of these ready by november of this year. I think I can do that!

I think that'll be more than enough! ... Here's hoping!

Just a little update of sorts: i will be back to work on Vie this week, though because it's so close to the holidays, i'll be a bit busy (naturally) I'll do my best to post the next page on time, but it might be delayed depending on how much i can get done... better not to rush it and do a shit job, right? if it's not up thursday, you can probably expect it between friday and sunday!

Hey there y'all! Now that I've had my break, and I'm getting into the swing of things with comickery, AND now that the holidays are coming up, I'm thinking of opening up a few slots in December! It's possible I'll just open on a very limited basis every so often in the future, just so I can keep on trucking and so on. Shit, I might even try a real iron artist with commissions instead of freedraws one day, but... Mmm, we'll see...

So, I'd like to gauge the interest and see how many people would want comms! I'm thinking I'll only have three slots. If there's a lot of people interested, I might raffle them off, or open up a few other slots for specific tiers (like full color and sketch, and so on)

I'm also thinking of doing holiday raffles for adoptables or custom character designs, or a nice big free reference sheet! Gotta go into the new year lookin your best, right? As always, there's a lot of big ideas in my head, but so little time to do them all... Ah well. We'll see, eh?

I've put a lot into this--I went on that mini hiatus to map out the entire story, draft the first chapter, and make that itty bitty first page--and I hope that it shows...! I'll obviously be focusing on finishing chapter 1 for awhile (40 planned pages), but I will also be trying to bring some lighter doodles to my gallery in between updates! I also -may- be streaming unrelated stuff to unwind now and then, but we'll see if I can stay on schedule first! :'>

I also want to direct your attention to the handy dandy "don't read me" or "here there be monsters" or "obligatory content warning page", for the series, so you know what you're in for. As I say there, I will be doing my best to use warning thumbnails and tag the titles when [nasty stuff] comes up... But in general, I will say that the comic probably won't have much that you haven't already seen from me if you've been watching me for awhile. Violence, bdsm, bloodplay, raunchy lewd sex, general degeneracy, noncon, and a healthy dose of fuck. It'll probably be more violent than I've done in the past, but nothing too earthshattering I don't think :>

I'm going to try to do updates on thursdays, see how that works out! I'll probably be jumping around to different mediums as I feel suits the moment... But for now at least, pages will be traditional paintings!

You also may have observed this and wondered "wow what the fuck is that about," so here's a bit of an official annoucement/explanation!

October 16th 2010, I posted a certain picture, of a certain serperior... Who eventually became an OC that sparked a story in me that I've been itching to tell for a long time now. I've made reference to this a lot, there's been a lot of "finallys" and "hopefullys" and "maybes..." but this is gonna be the year! I'm going to start the story, and we'll see how it goes from there!

I plan to release the first chapter starting on october 16th, the 7th anniversary of that original upload. The plan is to finish chapter 1, and then resume regular Sus scheduling: this series will be released episodically, and will not receive regular consistent updates on a weekly basis. I am hoping to release a new chapter every few months, but this'll depend on my work schedule and whims somewhat: I believe the story will be better if I do it in large chunks as opposed to a constant stream.

It'll be a comic! But this is my first time doing such a massive story and actually posting it, so things might get a little experimental down the road... Regardless, I hope you'll enjoy the ride!

There will be some sporadic posts between now and the 16th: probably lore related, random doodles (as usual,) and the odd portfolio piece. but for the most part, I will be focusing on this and will likely not post as often

I also will probably be streaming less, since I won't want to stream the work on Vie until after the first chapter is done! Though you might catch me on random tuesdays and thursdays around noon EST~
