Not sure if everyone knows, but my favorites gallery is pretty much filled with commissions and gift art. I don't post everything to my page, so if you are not looking there, you are missing some great stuff!

At first I didn't post any art because I didn't have any, and then when I got some I felt like I wanted to keep my gallery neat and tidy, only containing my story.

That pretty much came to an end when I got some gift art that wasn't posted anywhere else, so the only way to show it was to post to my gallery. Since then I have stuck mostly to that, posting stuff that wasn't shown else where, or posting when the artist asked me to, or when I colored something, or sometimes just forgetting and posting stuff.

Also, I felt like if I posted a lot of art I would not be able to use my watch list as a way to make sure people actually were reading anything I posted.

I have a ton of stuff in my favorites now that's not in my gallery, and while I assumed everyone knew to look there, I think to how I use the site and I rarely check people I watch for new favorites... if it doesn't show up in in my new messages, I probably wont see it.

So should I post them? Might take a while... there is a lot there.

I have a link to my Story Gallery on my front page so at least there is a way to get a list of all my chapters, even if they are not all in order. Grrrr!

Hard to believe it's been another year! Time goes by so fast.

So... here are my new years resolutions!

I wanted to wish all my readers and everyone I watch and all my friends here a Merry Christmas!

I am no Christian, but I do enjoy the holidays. While Santa no longer brings me presents, it still reminds me of being a kid when this time of year rolls around again.

I like giving out presents, so I have a stack over here for anyone that wants one! Right in that room over there. Which is not a dungeon, and the presents are most definitely is NOT a slave collar, ball gag, leather restraints and a lifetime of slavery. I promise! I never lie, and would NEVER give out a box of rape as a present. :)

This is the fairest way I can come up with. The numbers will be generated by a third party, the method of picking winners is published ahead of time, so nobody need worry I played favorites. Blame fate, not me!

I have had a bunch of ideas kicking around for a while. The recent short story auction was one, and this is another.

It would be offering slots in various artwork with characters from my story. And a very short (a few paragraphs) piece written about the scene.

So one picture might have Rahmor and Nella with a pair of furry slaves. Another might be several of Rahmor's harem in an orgy with some furries. Other characters would show up too, such as Rickie and Lesheyt having fun with a dragon and his slave.

I was thinking of having a different artist do each picture, and tailoring the artist to the subject matter.

The way it would work is I'd post a quick sketch to show the scene and positions, describe what was going on and which character slots were up for grabs. People who were interested would say which slot they wanted, and after a few days a winner would be randomly picked from those that wanted that slot.

Pricing would be variable, because artists all charge different amounts but the cost would be split across all the slots offered. Rough guess is most would be around $20 per slot. These would all be done in full color.

So... any interest in this sort of thing? Comments or suggestions on the whole idea?

Dragons want to know!

I've been pondering doing story commissions for a while now, and after seeing all the 'Your Character Here' auctions thought maybe that would be fun to try. So I am going to do this once and see how it goes!

So here is the deal... the winner gets a short story where they can get raped by a character of their choosing from my Fates of the Unicorns series. Pretty simple! Short story means 2,000 words minimum.

What does a YCH auction mean for a story? It means that I'll take your character, and some kinks/ideas/limits from you and write a story around it. The overall plot will be one of my characters doing bad things to someone. Rape, torture, molesting, beating, snuff... some or all of those could happen. Up to you!

I'd be as flexable as I can, but obviously it needs to fit the story. Telly isn't going to overpower a dragon guard and rape and murder him with his own sword. Rahmor WOULD rape a hot slave girl he saw tied to an auction post. The character can be one I have written or a generic one like 'dragon warrior' or 'another slave'.

Oh! The money will go to a good cause too. Art! :) Anything I get out of this will be spent on a FotU themed commission.

Thanks for all the reads and favorites and comments and watches. Those are what keeps me writing. I certainly wouldn't have gotten to 50 chapters if nobody read them! I'm not in it for the money, but I AM in it for the fame.

So the summary at the top of all my chapters reads thus...

A dragon raid into furry lands ravages several unicorn villages, taking hundreds of unicorns back as slaves. The story follow sixteen mares as they adjust to their new lives as slaves of Master Rahmor. One by one their fates will be sealed by the choices they make, and the whims of their dragon Master.

That may have been accurate for the first few chapters, but anyone who has read further in knows there is a lot more going on.

But any time I try and write a new paragraph to describe my series I end up with something a hundred pages long, or hate it and throw it away.

I want to make a cover page submission for my story... cover artwork and a description of the series. Any help in summarizing the story without spoilers would be appreciated.

How would YOU describe it to a potential reader?

When I started posting I decided not to post any commissioned art to my account, but eventually I ran into artists that didn't post all their commissions, so for anyone to see them I had to put them up, and then I started doing coloring and shading and then I got asked by artists to put their commissions on my page too and now I think I have more commissions and fan art than stories!

So I'd love to get a sample from anyone who sees this journal. Do you watch me for my stories, for the commissioned art I post, or both?

No need to explain, although you can if you want! I'm interested in the numbers. I collect data like dragons horde treasure and virgin maidens!

Ok, here is my take on this whole thing, posted well before we get any actual information of course. ust like the other 10,000 journal posts on it. :)

So... "merging" is a bad word for what is happening. The sites are to stay seperate. But the staff are merging.

First look at Furocity makes me think... TINY. FA gets more submissions in a week than their entire gallery. But the real hint is clicking the "Last 10 Blog Posts" link. Before the flood of "I'm from FA!" posts, it showed one blog post a DAY. That's from the entire SITE. Compare that with how many journal entries FA gets every day.

So clearly the reason for merging is not anything to do with the content or user base of Furcity. I am guessing that Dragoneer is tired of year-long updates that never get finished and even small issues never getting fixed, or only getting a partial fix (damn colors in links is still broken!). So he is handing over maintenance to a group that at least showed they can create and run a site. Lets hope they don't get the CEO attitude of needing to change stuff simply to put their 'mark' on it. FIx broken things, add features but please, don't re-do the entire site in some new crazy setup.

I don't see anything major on Furocity feature wise that FA lacks, but the converse is certainly true. Can't text search submission titles and descriptions, only tags. No way to view submission views, so who knows if anyone even looks at stuff you post. Lots of missing features.

They do have a tag system, but even that is kinda broken. Minimum 3 characters and no symbols. What? Isn't the MOST useful tag things like M/M, M/F, M/M/F, ect? My idea for tags is no freakin limit on length, searching on plurals finds singles, and have some standard tags suggested for each submission. The FF,MM,FM stuff and some other common ones that all images should have.

Anyway... that's my ramble!

UPDATE: Just saw that the admin notice changed from "Fur Affinity and Furocity are merging!" to "Fur Affinity and Furocity are joining forces!"

Hahaha. Yeah. I doubt he read my post but someone must have told him that "merging" was a very alarming way of putting it.

I decided when I created the contest that I would use an algorithm to pick the winner.

1. Assign a number to each letter and number, so A=1, B=2, ect and 0=0, 1=1.
2. Add up all the letters and numbers in the user name of each entry. That comes to 6820.
3. Divide by the number of entries and get the remainder. 6820 % 67 = 53

Anyone who has looked at my gallery knows I love getting art based on scenes or characters from my story.

I try and spread the love around to all various dragons and furries in my story, but obviously focus on my own favorite characters and kinks.

Here is a question for my readers.

What are your thoughts on how fantasy or scifi handles units of measurements?

The two extremes are...

A: Use ones we are all familiar with. Hours, days, weeks. Miles, kilometers, feet. "It took me three hours just to walk a mile!"

B: Make up new words or terms. "It took me three tocks to walk single hoof-trail!"

I've read plenty of stories that do both. The first can be a bit jarring I think to have fantasy characters using english measurments and names like Sunday or December. But of course it's as confusing as hell if you have to remember a whole set of measurements. A book I read recently used metric time and measurement and was really confusing to try and remember what the hell a megacycle was.

I have mostly avoided the problem, using hours and seconds and vague terms like "moons" for "months" and "seasons" for "years" but have not decided on what to do about naming days of the week or months.

A funny related thought, I wonder how furry cultures WOULD figure out measurements. Here on earth a foot is based on, duh, the length of an average male adult foot. What does that mean for say a rabbit and a horse? :)

I have been trying to pace myself so I don't post 5 in a single day and burn out for 6 months.

Not doing too bad... hopefully I can keep a steady pace for the next year. I certainly have enough ideas for it I think.

Hmmmm... I just had a thought. I wonder what some of my characters would choose...

Rahmor's Resolution: To fully train and place a new unicorn slave every month until they are all trained.
Tamira's Resolution: Not to get any more unicorns hurt because of her failures or mistakes.
Rickie's Resolution: To make everyone who ever hut him PAY.
Sabeth's Resolution: To get what she deserves! (This might be easier to get than she realizes... *grin*)
Tahet's Resolution: To eat a furry! They are so tasty!
Mehgan's Resolution: To learn EVERY sex position and skill her Master could ever want of her.

It was almost exactly 1 year ago I was at 1,000 Pageviews.

I feel like I should do something special for my 10,000th pageview which should be coming up sometime this or next month.

I'm just not sure what! I was thinking for whoever sends me the first screencap of 10,000 (or higher if nobody manages to catch it exactly at 10,000) gets a short story with their character set in my Fates of the Unicorns world.

Obviously restrictions apply since I can't do "My character enslaves all the dragons!" without trashing my universe, but could always do something like that in a dream. But either way I'll do my best! :)

It can be frustrating for me being a writer. I want to do all sorts of fan stuff but since the series is still being written I can't just throw stuff fin there randomly. I actually DO plan out a ton of stuff in advance, and am very careful in introducing world-breaking stuff. I try very hard for it all to make sense and be consistent, which restricts what I actually write.

So to make sure there is no confusion, I'm offering a short story to the FIRST note in my FA inbox that includes a link to a screenshot showing 10,000 or more pageviews.

Maybe prizes for runner ups.

I have written (and am writing) several story arcs that take place in the past. To big ones...

1. The Rickie story, starting at the dragon raids and still not caught up.

2. The Elf story, which has caught up.

Has any of this been confusing? Do I need to make it more clear when a story is happening in the 'past' or do you get it right away when I write one?

I do plan to bring the Rickie storyline into the present, but will probably want to do more stories that take place then, or even earlier sometimes and am not sure how the best way to do that is.

Should I just keep numbering chapters.. or make separate 'novels' out of them? Having characters like Brant branch off into their own lives makes that hard... I'm not entirely sure what to do. Add dates to all the chapters? Maybe draw a graph?

For those of you watching me (most I would assume) that have read my story, how did you find it, and did you start reading at Chapter 1 and go from there, or did you start in the middle randomly?

I'm curious how careful I should be to make sure to include spoiler warnings on new chapters so people don't start reading out of curiosity, not realizing there is a bunch of 'stuff' that happened in the previous 30 chapters they now know all about.

I am one of those people that HATES spoilers and gets upset if I learn something ahead of time. But I know other people who are perfectly happy to read a book series completely out of order. Freaks! :)

So two questions I suppose.

How did you stumble onto my story?

And how did you read it, in order or skip around?

EDIT: And if you DID start in the middle, do you think you would have been interested if you found the first one instead?
