How to:
find a nice photo to use as background; I used one of my own ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/963124/ )
then find a nice figure;
put it in front of your monitor and take a photo with the lights off - no flash
add some photoshop and TA-DA!

Canon EOS 7D
Posted 15 years agoIt is a pleasure to inform you guys that now I'm a proud owner of a Canon EOS 7D!
It arrived today, and so far so good! I didn't had the chance to use its full potential yet since it was already dark when the battery finished recharging :P
Anyway, I decided to go with the 28-135mm kit, so far I think the lens is pretty usable, but I'm going L as soon as I travel to US in January... I would really love if Canon announces a replacement for the 24-70 f/2.8 to include -maybe- IS and some new improved glass...
Stay tuned, more to come...
And, sorry for the bad English.

Recently, I was able to gather some funds. And I'm planning on making part of my wishlist become true...
So I'm decided to buy the new Canon EOS 7D, it is an amazing camera, the ISO performance is stunning and you get HD video recording to play with as well.
Now for some glass...
I was planning on buying the EF 100-400 L and the 24-70 2.8L BUT... As some of you may know, some rumors are spreading through the photography community and they are: replacement replacement replacement.... As far as I know [and the canon rumors blog for that matter] Canon has a 24-70 f2.8 IS [that is right, the best lens available will incorporate Image Stabilization] baking on the oven as well as some white-glass replacement the 100-400 being among them...
So my big concern is, will the new toys be available by the time I'm buying the stuff? Which is going to happen by early November when I have a trip to NY scheduled... And yes, you guessed right, I'm going to expend HOURS [read: money] in the B&H store looking stuff up!
So please give your ADVICE/opinion on that matter!

I'm here today to announce the DevMeet São Paulo in it's second edition! This is n event that unite people with the same areas of interest, they gather to talk, exchange ideas, create, and more important: to have fun!
For those who don't know, this event is present all around the world and gather tons of people, and the best part is that it is free! THAT IS RIGHT, YOU DON'T HAVE TO EXPEND A PENNY TO PARTICIPATE!
That being said, I'd like to invite you guys to participate, the event will take place in the Cultural Center Vergueiro (Centro Cultural Vergueiro) starting at 12pm on Sunday July 4th of 2010!

Posted 17 years agoHi folks... Recently I updated my photo gear, man it makes such a HUGE difference now!
Lets see I got:
Canon EF-S 10-22mm This thing is freaking WIDE! I love it!
Canon BG E3 battery grip for my XTi
Hoya Pro1 UV for protection of the new lens
Hoya Pro1 CP because it's a must on landscape :P
Man this lens is so awesome, it really worth the price, landscapes now are really wide, the lens is sharp, with good contrast and can focus very fast and accurate (thanks USM motor!)
I know I told I was going to go with the 16-35 f2.8 II L, but since I decided to stay with 1.6's a bit more it would be kinda useless... Next step: maybe a tele, maybe a dedicated flash... who knows....
Photos from the 10-22 coming soon... (as soon as the weather gets fine around here)
Also now this thing looks so more like a camera and less like a toy... XD
Also I decided to update my RAM from 1Gb to 4Gb... Now the notebook is f* flying :)

Well, things are getting serious with the university and stuff, it demands lots more time now... That's why I'm not uploading stuff as often as I used to... But I hope thinks get more stable so i can take photos more often... Also I MAY get a job on a project one of my teachers are working on, but it's not 100% sure I'll get it. The thing is based on researching and developing algorithms to deal with security on wireless sensors networks, it seems interesting (for me at least :P) It involves a lot of codding for small devices with limited amounts of memory and processing (sounds fun, this IS real software development lol). Lets see, I'm looking forward to get this "job"...
On other news, My English is getting rusted... I still can read and write but I'm not sure about talking and listening... So if you can give me a hand, I'll be really grateful!

It's an HP Pavillion dv6650, it got some power to games and lots of power to programming (yeah I bought it to do my university things that is basically: programming). I'm satisfied with it :3
The only awful thing is that I couldn't find all the drivers for Win XP so I had to put Vista on it... (holy f* heavy OS).
so far it's doing fine with games though.. I can play:
Doom 3 on low
Battlefield 1942/2/2142 on medium/low/low
Counter Strike Condition Zero on high
Quake 4 on low
So I have some entertainment XD
for those who like specs.:
AMD Turion 64x2 tl-58 @ 1900MHz
1024Mb DDR2 @ 667MHz (2x 512)
120GB Western Digital HD. @ 5400RPM SATA
N-Vidia GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M @ 128MB shared :/
15" widescreen display
DVD RW with light-Scribe
802.11 b/g WLAN
Firewire/3 USB/Ethernet/SD-MSPro-MMC-XD card reader
etc etc...
Currently running Windows Vista Business.
Did I mentioned that I'm happy? :D

A Black and White film
A Chrome film
I was thinking on 2 brands:
Fujifilm and Ilford.
I think I'll give a go to Ilford on B&W and to Fuji on chrome. What does you guys think of it? Any specific type/model to suggest? I would be glad to hear some opinions too! ;)
