Posted 9 years agoHalloween party was fun and no one got everyone sick like the previous year so that's good. Next year we will be charging a small admission fee to join at the house because of how much prep there is, food and drink offered, and the clean up after. Not to mention the use of trash bags, shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent, etc etc etc.
Anyway! I said last year after it was announced but yes, I will be Guest Of Honor at MFF this year (in like a month basically) woo! I will be doing two panels (one about airbrushing the other a general casting/molding q&a kind of thing.
I am also in the process of redoing my Rainbow Husky partials to sell for this con since it's the convention I did it at in the first place many years ago. They're going to be realistic to semi-realistic partials (no feet premade, like last time. If you want them order them after so I can get shoe sizes). Each head will have LED's and a fan installed in the muzzle with a pouch in the neck for the battery packs. All with moving jaws and possibly whiskers. Hands will be a feral style with vinyl paw pads and resin claws. If anyone wants to snag one early they will be $1550 each and feet for +$200.
Also, I turn 26 on the 10th of this month. I also lose my moms health insurance at the end of the month and i still need some dental work done so there's a slight possibility that I will have my wisdom teeth taken out before MFF... not ideal timing D:
Side note- if anyone has resin questions or airbrush questions throw them at me on twitter and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. I kind of want to get a feel for what people have questions about or what I may need to look into before the con hits.

Posted 9 years agoIs anyone waiting on a raccoon base from me with blue eyes? I finished it the past week with some other bases and went to find their info for shipping and I don't know if I made up some order in my head or if I just can't find them. I spent the past hour looking and I'm starting to seriously question myself on if this was actually an order or if someone talked to me about one and I just remembered it as an actual order. If that's the case I guess I can sell a premade base or offer a commission for a head XD

A few days ago a customer of mine stopped by to pick up a suit and offered to help me go to the con to hang out more and now offered me a ride to the con. So day before the con I'm suddenly going again I guess XD. I'm bringing both Amaterasu and Chibiterasu ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20420185/ ) and technically I'm going to be selling Chibiterasu after the con (unless someone wants to snatch it up now before the con and pick it up there for AC?).
-The Chibiterasu partial is $1600 or if you want the costume with it $1900 and it has a fan in the muzzle. Shoes are a size 9 (can make new pair if different size is needed) and head fits 23.5 but could be padded for smaller or take padding out for larger sizes.

Posted 10 years agoI had a bit of a delay over here with a tree falling on two cars in our driveway (one being my helper's and the other my roommates) and it becoming a huge mess as well as having a get together at the house. we are doing casting later this week here so base orders should all be done this week.

We have a little party/hangout/chill thing at my house the 22nd to 24th. Those that want to can come Thurs for extra chill time!
There is talk of possibly going to http://www.animeapocalypse.org/hotel/ for a day and going to Mitsua before or after- I will leave this up to the group as a decision moreso but otherwise its gonna mostly be a chill in the house and play video or card games. Drinks, food, or snacks are nice to bring (and toilet paper).

MFF, GOH, Updates, Party, and ARK!
Posted 10 years agoI meant to do a journal after MFF but I believe I had a very mild con crud and I ended up sleeping a ton after the con. So, MFF was amazing as always and thanks to everyone that stopped by my table! I love chatting with everyone and helping with projects if I can!!
They announced me as Guest of Honor for next year and I'm super excited! We still have to pick out what I'm doing for my panels and see what the hotel is alright with me doing mess wise since my craft tends to get a little messy ^^ anyone have anything in particular they'd like me to show there? Was thinking of possibly shaving a head or two or airbrushing or something?
Which speaking of- I finally replaced my airbrush https://twitter.com/DrakonicKnight/.....54512351932416 My other one finally broke and I had switched back to my older one for a bit. I'm likely going to sell my old one now though- note me if anyone is interested its an Iwata Eclipse (just the airbrush no compressor).
I also got a new sewing machine finally too- mine had started skipping stitches and I can't reverse on it anymore. https://twitter.com/DrakonicKnight/.....13209275789317 I still have to figure out a few things with the new one but I'm excited to see what I can do with it!
I'm going to be remaking a few older molds soon and will be selling the old molds as well so keep an eye out for that! (and if you want some of my older models and have been waiting to put an order in now is a good time to make sure you get it!)
And for local friends I believe we are going to have a party here sometime after the 16th possibly 22nd to 24th? Will post more about this after I talk to Ifus.

My B-Day is coming up (the 10th) and I'm gonna be 25 wooo~ My boyfriend is coming to visit and I get to go to Fogo De Chao with some friends for it. There's a few little things I wanted to promote though- I got a twitter a while back and I have been using that for a TON of WIP pics and little updates on things and cute opossum pics! I need to get a new airbrush and replenish some supplies and I know people have been waiting for slots so I figured instead of a premade I would open up ^^!
A resin based head with a moving jaw, following acrylic eyes, airbrushing and sewn markings, jaw set, silicone tongue, possibly whiskers, and possibly a hair tuft are my typical orders that range around $900-1000. can have LED's and a fan too.
I want payment either full up front or half/half payment via PayPal so keep that in mind please!
Either note me or comment on the journal with the information below. I use Skype as well if you have something certain in mind and want to talk to me about it. (skype; DrakonicKnight)
What I need;
Reference sheet or a detailed picture (please don't send me 10 pictures with slight differences).
Species and what base you want me to use- Resin only.

Crash space: I will need to know who will need crash space that night as well, I live about 17 minutes from the maze. I have 2 beds and couches upstairs but air mattresses are a good idea.
What to bring: Blankets/pillows, snacks or drinks, someone should bring stuff for smores, and if everyone could bring one roll of toilet paper that would be lovely.
No fursuits please, we don't want anyone getting lost and overheating in the middle of a cornfield without water.
Friday: 10/16/2015 At my place we will have WiiU/PS4 games, Campfires (assuming it doesn't rain), jumping on the trampoline, swim in the pool, and whatever else we decide. Basically just a chill/meetup day.
Saturday: 10/17/2015 A huge corn maze which has a lot of things to do! We will do the maze then jumping on the huge jumping pillows like morons (likely when it's dark with flashlights). rain or shine

Friday: 10/16/2015 At my place we will have WiiU/PS4 games, Campfires (assuming it doesn't rain), jumping on the trampoline, swim in the pool, and whatever else we decide. Basically just a chill/meetup day.
Saturday: 10/17/2015 A huge corn maze which has a lot of things to do! We will do the maze then jumping on the huge jumping pillows like morons (likely when it's dark with flashlights). rain or shine

Ren Faire this weekend!
Posted 10 years agoHeya! Were doing the Ren Faire this weekend (Saturday but probably also Sunday). Probably a smaller group than normal but should be fun regardless. I haven't been yet this year because of the whole tooth fiasco and the sinus infection nightmare sadly. Which speaking of i get a tooth out on wed and i have to schedule my wisdom teeth soon X_x. I had bought a bunch of tickets early this year on sale so I hope i get to use them all in time D:

Posted 10 years agoGot referred to another type of dentist yesterday while getting an opinion on a tooth (the one thats been giving me issues for years at this point). Was there just for a consult about getting my wisdom teeth out finally but i also asked him his opinion of this one thats been a huge pain for me that my dentist claimed was fine. He said everything i explained to him sounds like its a dead tooth but wants me to see a root canal expert apparently.
In good news my temp is down to 99 today from 103 the other day. That and the pain meds are helping me sleep okay but i still haven't been able to leave the couch much yet. X.x

Fuck sinus infections.
Posted 10 years agoWell I'm 95% sure its a sinus infection that I'm dealing with. Everywhere was closed sunday and mon/Tues i literally couldn't move from the couch I was sleeping on more than a few minutes.
Wed, I finally made it to the doc and he wasn't totslly sure if it was a sinus infection or a tooth abscess (which is frustrating because i called my dentist first to ask if i should go to them or a normal doctor and they said doc). I explained the various symptoms of pain i have and apparently I had a 103 fever. He set me up with a huge dose of antibiotics and said just keep uding the Tylenol for pain and check in tomorrow with him.
Later that night the pain was rather unbearable and Tylenol was doing nothing, called him first thing and my temp did go down to 102.3 but he gave me a prescription pain med and i could finally sleep some more after that kicked in. I slept past an alarm at 1 am though and got up at 3 to my pain med being worn off and was just moaning about the pain to my bf for a few hours till he had to sleep and it kicked back in later. However I've also found it very hard to eat with all of this and I keep getting really bad neasea around pill time thanks to that.
Today im going to an oral surgeon for a consult about my wisdom teeth because my bottom right one has decided to join the pain train in my face atm. Will get to be horrified of that pricetag but also make sure its not an abscess so thats good.oh but my temp went down to 99.3 so thats good
So thats been my last few days here, laying on the couch feeling like death. I've had a fever, inner ear pain similar to swimmers ear just not as intense, severe upper tooth pain. Lower jaw pain im assuming thanks to wisdom tooth, sore throat off and on, congested, horrible headaches, horrible sinus pressure that feels like ive been punched in the face, nausea, weakness, lack of appetite, dhiarhea, and god forbid i sneeze because ow. Oh and aside from the headaches its all just been the right side of my face :|
I can't imagine if i were back in the day when there wasn't much docs could do because even with these pain meds I hate everything atm. Later if i feel good enough to at least stay upright im gonna make a ton of digi padding for commissions because i don't know what else to do like this till it goes away.
Also i did this on my phone so please excuse any typos

When we got home there was a rather big flood and basically all of the work done on the pool was an absolute waste and its full of mud again. Water nearly got into my workspace and some trees knocked over some electrical stuff out at the top of our street.
I have a buncha stuff to catch up on but I have a horrible sinus infection and its only gotten more painful and now I think my wisdom tooth has decided to join in the fun too. I'm going to the doc shortly for the sinus infection and i made an appointment for a consultation at an oral surgeon for the wisdom teeth on Fri. Right now I am in a ton of pain and I've basically gone between sleeping and groaning around to trying to sit up for a while then rinse and repeat. I have a headache, my face it sore on one side, my tooth is literally killing me, and my ear hurts like a mild swimmers ear. Last night my bottom right wisdom tooth started to cause some extra discomfort when I open my jaw or try to eat too. So thats the fun I'm dealing with right now X_x

Posted 10 years agoI've been meaning to post this for a while but we have all been insanely busy with house/pool/yard stuff here. Anyone have a spot for me in their anthrocon hotel? I don't drink or smoke and tend to keep my stuff in the room pretty tidy. Will likely have 1-2 suits with me. Prefer bed space as I have a bad back but if not I can manage.

I'm almost out of pain meds and antibiotics so another trip to the dentist to see what he says again. Posted 11 years agoSo, scratch FC. That's not happening apparently. After finishing prepping to leave for the convention I went to take the little bit of sleep I could get before the plane. I woke up 30 minutes after I laid down to this horrifying throbbing tooth pain in the tooth I had issues with for the last year that had a cavity filled a while back. I tried various things people suggested online but its only tolerableish when I'm using an oral anesthetic and I have a feeling this will only get worse if its not taken care of right away. It might and with my luck is most likely an abscess so that means likely a root canal. So much for my flight ticket money for the most part, so much for my con badge money, and everything else I had planned :C.
Everyone that is going to FC please have fun for me! I made an appointment with my dentist for 5 PM so hopefully this gets fixed soon. I don't know what I'm going to do exactly if this tooth thing continues as it has been for this whole morning so far. It has been extremely uncomfortable and honestly i just want the tooth gone at this point x_x. I expect to need a root canal which if that's the point I'm going to have to take the time i was going to be spending out of state to make a premade to sell to make up cost for this nightmare before continuing on catching up with commissions. Back fixed- MFF- SALE!
Posted 11 years agoOK! My back if finally starting to feel somewhat normal again yay! I saw a chiropractor for about 10 days now and I'm nearly back to 100% but I'm trying not to trigger it and land back at square one again. I had x-rays and multiple treatments/adjustments and I think I have about a $500 bill coming for all that but considering the pain I was in and how much better I am now I think it was worth it. I had apparently facet syndrome? I'm still not entirely sure what that was but it was triggered by wearing a corset+heels to an art event and standing nearly 8 hours there wearing that on concrete floor then the next day I did it in moving my gecko tank. Never again. I'm hoping to purchase a better chair after MFF or when my toony head sells to also prevent that again. I also discovered that one of my legs is longer than the other and its causing my pelvic bone to be crooked and in turn my spine as well. I now have a cork insert for my sock/shoe! I find that very interesting and the fact that I got to look at my xrays and see my skeleton was really neat to me (small things in life eh?).
Anyway! I will be at MFF and I have a dealers table! I will have the skull masks there and a bunch of misc parts, I don't know how many resin blanks I will have since that back fiasco cost me a whole week of work time at the most crucial time. I also have a premade available for pickup at the con! (Or shipment after the con).
