Had a bot account submit false takedowns on every single one of my videos, and because youtube is run by bots, my channel was in an instant completely deleted. I have backups of everything so can re-upload onto a new channel at some point, but for now I just don't have the motivation to continue. Things like this ruin the passion to create anything.

Have appealed to youtube, but once again, the appeal system is just yelling into the void so yet another bot can just auto-reply "request denied"


UPDATE: As expected my appeal was completely ignored and the account has been permanently removed. I'm just done, really.

Will be premiering my latest and most virtuosic concert length piece later today. Put over 260 hours into this monster (which I promise you is still technically playable!).

I am making final adjustments to a very large piano work (over 14 mins long at present) which I will be uploading at some point soon. After this is uploaded I will be taking a break from making music for a little while in order to not burn myself out seeing as I have already composed over 30 pieces in the last year (which is actually a little crazy).

Yup, title says it all, lost my job for really bs reasons but can't sue for unfair dismissal because the job was with the government so OFC they have that sh*t covered...but hey, I may not have a job, or any money with which to live but at least I can now spend 6+ hours a day relentlessly composing music right, right???

And none the wiser! This year has had it's ups and downs that is for certain but with a new job starting next month and my personal life settling down a bit, things are starting to look up. Here's to another rotation around the sun!

So, after a few months of things looking up, I went and managed to fracture my wrist, bad. Now I am out of work, can't operate and mouse and keyboard to keep myself distracted and still need to find a way to make money to pay bills. Considering my finances had been bad due to looking for decent employment anyway, now things have become far more real.

And no, before anyone assumes this is a journal begging for help, it is not. I am still looking for work and am still open to do music commissions to try and keep my head above water, but if anyone has suggestions, feel free to give them to me, panic is not quite setting in, but I can hear my bank account screaming in the distance.
