[COMMISSIONS CLOSED]
Posted 12 months agoI've decided that I have enough writing experience that I want to try out writing commissions. I'm starting small, $5 for an 800-1200 word story, with 2 commission slots. As far as what I'm willing to write, I'm not quite sure; part of the reason I'm starting small is that I have no idea what to expect. So I guess just ask for anything and if I'm comfortable with it and reasonably confident I'll give it a shot. Anything similar to what I've written previously is a safe bet, including stories about my PMD characters.
I think what I'll do is write the first half of the story, then show it to you and see if it's looking good so far. Then I'll ask for payment over PayPal and write the rest of it.
I'm also willing to write kink/sensual stories like the ones on my alt account
acebunny. Even if you're commissioning a story of that kind, contact me on THIS account; I'm usually logged into this account, and so I don't often check notifications on my alt.

Team Rose's Official Rescue Team Q&A
Posted 3 years agoThorn sighs. "Do we really have to do this?"
"We don't have to, but it's important! Answering questions about rescue team work helps inspire the next generation of rescuers!"
"That doesn't make me feel any better about giving random people personal info."
"Don't worry, you don't have to answer any questions that make you uncomfortable. You can tell them as much or as little as you want."
"Fine, sure, whatever, just open the inbox already."
(Welcome to the Team Rose Q&A! I had a lot of fun with the Team Playmates Q&A, so I figured I'd start this one early. You can ask the characters questions about... pretty much whatever; how they feel about recent plot events, little details not addressed in the story, anything. All questions will be answered, but answers will NOT have any spoilers for the story, so don't worry about spoiling yourself.
You can also ask characters besides Compass and Thorn. Also, just like Team Playmates, you can ask past versions of the characters if you'd like an in-character answer of how they felt or what they thought back then. Also also, the Team Playmates Q&A will still stay up; this isn't replacing it or anything.)

Team Playmates' Interdimensional Space-Time Q&A
Posted 3 years agoJamie taps the mic. "Uh, hello? Can they hear me? Yes? Okay good. Ahem. Hi, we're-"
"We're Team Playmates!" Snivy says. "Welcome to our Q&A!"
"Right. So, Dialga and Palkia told us that you've been watching our adventures. Somehow."
"Which is really cool! And creepy!"
"So they asked if we wanted to do this... space-time Q&A? Apparently you can ask any version of us from any time or... parallel universe? So you can ask our past and future selves questions."
"You can even ask versions of ourselves from different universes, like ones where I'm a human!"
"And one where I'm a... shapeshifting vampire?"
"Lucky. I wish I could have an alternate reality shapeshifting vampire self."
"I mean, maybe if I bit you? Whatever, let's just see what questions the 'readers' have for us."
(So I got really into pokemon ask-blogs, and I decided to make a journal where you can ask questions and get in-character answers. You can ask any version of Jamie or Snivy from any story, including Friends Through Fire if you want. You can specify the character, story, and chapter of when you want to ask. Something like: "(Childish Harmony, Chapter 4) Hey Snivy, what's your favorite color?" If you don't specify, I'll default to post-epilogue Childish Harmony Jamie and Snivy.
This journal will stay open indefinitely, so feel free to ask questions whenever! Or just chat with the characters. This is pretty much just an excuse to write micro-stories for Jamie and Snivy.
Also: A copy of this is up on AO3, in case you want to ask anonymously: https://archiveofourown.org/works/35857951 )

Childish Harmony
Posted 4 years agoIt's done. Two years, and the story is finally complete. Thank you all for joining me, and I hope you've enjoyed reading this story as much as I've enjoyed writing it. Special thanks to the two people that left comments, love you guys! I think I'm satisfied with Jamie and Snivy now, and with PMD/Pokemon in general. I have an idea for my next story, but idk what'll happen. Maybe stick around to find out?
If you have any suggestions/inspiration for shorts of Jamie and Snivy, leave a comment/send a note and I might write something.

2nd Account
Posted 4 years agoI've rebooted my original account,
acebunny, and posted a new story there. That account is basically going to be my NSFW account from now on, even though there isn't any actual NSFW stuff on there. Basically, it's my kink account. If you originally watched me on that account, or if you're interested in less narrative-focused stories, feel free to check it out. I will still be posting here and doing my best to finish Childish Harmony, but sometimes it's easier to write stuff without needing to make it good.

Childish Harmony Update
Posted 5 years agoGuess who didn't learn from their mistake? So, I started writing Childish Harmony as a reboot because I didn't like how pointless and distracting the main plot of Friends Through Fire was. I am now making an update to Childish Harmony because I put in another pointless and distracting main plot, and I'm now removing it. Oops.
So yeah, chapters 1-5 have been updated to change a few key details. They're all mostly the same, so you don't have to reread them. It was 3 main things that changed, and the rest was just conversation edits relating to these details. The updates are:
Jamie didn't talk to Mew at all during chapter 1; they just fell through a vortex of glowing colors.
Jamie's vision in chapter 4 was heavily changed, with no more Fletchling and a different mystery dungeon called the Enchanted Forest. You might want to reread that part.
Snivy is no longer looking for the "Temple of Mew". Instead, they're looking for the "Guardians' Gate". With these changes, Mew has yet to be mentioned in the story. Guardians in general have also not been mentioned.

Friends Through Fire Reboot
Posted 5 years agoHey, remember how in my last journal I said "I might make a reboot of this story in the future, with a better main plot. But that won't be for a while"? Yeah, I'm doing now, a mere 2 months later. It still features Mudkip and Snivy, and is another attempt at telling their story. It has a completely different main plot, with no Wildfire in sight, so I hope you'll give it a read even if you've already read Friends Through Fire. The new story is titled "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Bonds of Discovery", and you can find the first chapter here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38228712/
Final Thoughts on Friends Through Fire
Posted 5 years agoHi. You don't have to read this, it doesn't contain anything necessary for the story, I just wanted to give my thoughts on the story and how it came to be. If you just want the story, feel free to simply proceed to the final chapter.
This story idea first started around a year or two ago, when I was just browsing youtube. A video popped up in my recommended: "PMD2 - DON'T EVER FORGET - Orchestral Remix". I don't like orchestral music nor remixes, but I was interested in Mystery Dungeon; I played PMD2 and Gates to Infinity when I was younger, so I decided to search the original version of the song.
And it hit me HARD.
The song was beautiful, and although I had forgotten the details of the game, I remembered the context of when this song played. As I listened, I came up with scenes in my head, reenacting the moment from the game. I looked up other songs, and after that, more Mystery Dungeon content; I was hooked.
That was when I stumbled upon the spark that started this story: the animated episode "Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate". The animation itself was nice, but I thought it was weird that the human in the episode simply went by Squirtle, not giving his former name. It made sense for the others to call him Squirtle, but I thought he should've told them his name and asked to be called that.
From that idea, the story started to grow; a human taken to the pokemon world meets their future partner, but the partner insists on calling them by their pokemon name. They would face trials and dangers, and the partner would grow to respect the human and call them by name, while the human would grow to accept their new body and name.
I didn't do much with the idea at first, and simply continued to obsess over Mystery Dungeon, replaying Gates to Infinity and falling in love with the tone and style of the series. Eventually, I finished the game and found myself coming back to that idea. I kept growing the story more and more, playing out scenes in my head, until I realized that it could actually be something I could write.
Finally, I finished outlining the story and plot, and I started writing. I wasn't sure I'd ever actually finish it, but when I finally wrote chapter 13, I had a feeling I'd go through with this until the end. This has been by my first big writing project, several times bigger than anything else I've made. I'm pretty amazed that I actually finished it.
I'm not completely satisfied with this story; the Wildfire was nothing more than an excuse plot to justify Mudkip and Snivy going on an adventure together, and it ended up distracting from what I actually wanted. And of course, there was Ralts. Oof. Because of all that, I might make a reboot of this story in the future, with a better main plot. But that won't be for a while.
Anyways, in all my fantasizing about scenes from the story, there was one scene that I came up with before any other, before even the Wildfire; this chapter was the end goal of this story. Anyone who's played a Mystery Dungeon game knows exactly what happens at the end of a story like this, and mine is no exception.
But one last thing end off, I want to share these Mystery Dungeon songs. You don't have to listen to them, obviously, but they're beautiful and I love them and recommend them:

I'm Back Again
Posted 5 years agoMy college term has ended and I will be posting more frequently now.
Regret
Posted 5 years agoI'm so sorry for writing Ralts' backstory. As I was writing Ralts' backstory, I felt like it made for a good story/narrative, but I completely forgot to consider the tone of the story. I want this story to be happy and fun, and while some serious things will happen in any story, holy fuck, why did I put child abuse in this story?! What the fuck was I thinking?!?! I will soon be rewriting chapter 20 and chapter 21, and moving the originals to scraps.
(EDIT: This journal was previously called "I'm So Sorry", and the title was changed for accuracy.)

Taking a Break (Maybe)
Posted 5 years agoCollege is starting up again, so updates might slow down or stop until June 13th. Sorry to leave y'all on a cliff hanger. I'll try to keep writing, but no promises. Thanks for your patience.
EDIT: I just realized I said in my previous journal that I'd be starting college again on the 22nd of March. That was completely incorrect and I don't know why I said that, so please disregard that little bit of info.

I'm back (for now)
Posted 5 years agoTwo months ago, I took a break from writing to focus on college. Now, college is slowing down and I've had the time to write another chapter. I'll be getting back to college work on the 22nd, but in the meantime I'll keep writing. Chapter 14 will be uploaded momentarily; unless you're reading this journal the moment it's posted, it's most likely already up. Thank you for your patience and I hope you continue enjoying the story!
Taking a Break
Posted 5 years agoI will likely be taking an extended break, so I won't be uploading any new Friends Through Fire chapters. If I haven't returned by March 20th, I'll make a new journal then.
Friends Through Fire Update
Posted 6 years agoI took a break for a while to focus on college. I'm back now. Sorry for not saying anything.
I've gone back and given minor updates to the previous chapters. Nothing plot relevant. The only thing that changed is that the Joy Scarves are pink now instead of teal. I've also started posting the story on Archive of Our Own, which you can find here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/2.....pters/51757495
