Modus Operandi
Posted 6 years agoTL:DR - New account, uploading artwork and not following artists "on this account" Themes are horror, pinups, horror pinups likely. Mostly horror but much tamer than normal for me.
Going to keep this a strictly upload account and fight the urge to become a lurker again. I watch so many people with my other account and routinely get so discouraged watching the endless cascade of art that I objectively see as better with no mind to the hours of work that undoubtedly went into each piece. This is my chance to be a steady creator again. I've been drawing literally ever since I could make a shape beyond a stick figure, drawing monsters before I even went to school. 26+ years of practice in practically every medium, pastels, oils, watercolors, clay, carving, markers "I'm terrible" and varying degrees of digital painting and enhancing sketches.
I've got to become a true creator again even when my stuff feels so derivative for me. I love drawing slashers, I love masks, costumes, monsters, pinups, landscapes that I suck at conveying so far. These are things I need to improve. This will be my content. I may make a pinup account for people that might not like to be bombarded with my horror fixation and want lighter, more palatable artwork. I'm going to try to keep my ultra violence toned down here as well because when I say horror I draw some truly gruesome stuff.
