Fur the More and other 2019 convention plans
General | Posted 7 years agoI'm planning to go to a bunch of conventions this year! Here is the current list, and I'll update this journal as things change:
Fur the More: March 15-17th in Tyson's Corner, VA (Sat and Sun planned)
Anthrocon: July 4th-7th in Pittsburgh, PA (Entire con)
FursonaCon: Sept 5th-8th 2019 in Virginia Beach (Fri-Sun planned)
Megaplex: Aug 9th-11th in Orlando, FL (Planned but TDB)
FA United: Oct 4-6, 2019 in Herndon, VA (Planned but TDB)
MFF: Dec 6th-8th in Rosemont, Illinois(Planned but TBD)
Chances are you'll find me dressed as Draythix, in one of those ridiculous inflatable raptor costumes, or in an upcoming kitsune fursuit which I'm hoping will be finished in time for Anthrocon. I'm really torn about whether the kitsune should be based on Kazunari or if I should get an actual kitsune sona! We'll see what happens!

Poll: Preferred Story Format. Also Ko-fi!
General | Posted 7 years agoI have been wondering what format people prefer for viewing stories on FurAffinity. Currently, most of my stories are uploaded Text files, because this allows FA to display the story directly on site. However, I have noticed that downloadable PDFs are also an option. In theory, I could have the story in a more readable format as a downloadable PDF (with artwork!), and paste the story text into the submission description as well. However, I figure that some people may prefer the simplicity of my current text-based upload method.
Do any of you have any thoughts on what your preferred upload type is, or if there is some other way I could improve the readability of my stories on FA?
A side note: I have a Ko-fi account now! Tips that I receive will go towards commissioning artwork for my stories. In addition, I am thinking of eventually writing unique stories specifically for my Ko-fi supporters :)

General | Posted 7 years agoHey! I just wanted to let everyone know that now that I've completed chapter 4 of "Shared Identity" I'm going to be slowing down my writing rate for a while. Believe it or not, I have been spending most of my free time for the last month writing and I need to make sure that I don't burn myself out. Well that, and I want to start working on some of my own costumes for upcoming conventions, lol! I think I will be aiming to post one new chapter or short story every two weeks.
I also wanted to recommend a fursuit maker to anyone who is interested: Weasels on Easels
The person running this shop is one of the people from the CNN special about furries that went out a few months ago, and has done some really impressive fursuit crafting. She had some problems with a bad commissioner lately, and has a new slot open at about a 20% discount because of that. If any of you are interested in a fursuit and willing to deal with a year or so wait, I'd recommend that you take a look at the facebook post announcing the opening here.

General | Posted 7 years agoWell, I have posted my first story since I killed my 'Transryu' accounts about seven years ago, and I am both excited and terrified.
I suppose I should explain a few things for those of you who actually recognize my username. Giving a full explanation for my disappearance would be complicated, but let's just say that I had some personal issues that I needed to get past. Things have improved recently however, and I have become interested in writing again. In addition, I've actually decided to 'officially' become a furry (scaly) recently. Yea, I know, that is probably a strange thing to say considering my stories were essentially furry stories!
A lot of stuff has changed for me recently, and I am excited to see where things will go from here! :)
