Caped Crusader Thoughts
Posted a year agoWarning: Spoilers Ahead
Okay, weeks after the show ended, I have watched the entire season of Batman: Caped Crusader. After some time mulling over it, I’ve come to a decision… it’s an okay show. Not great, not terrible, but somewhere between good and decent.
While there were good ideas implemented and the style does look good… there are problems that are kinda understandable for some criticizing it. Some changes just felt out of place; Penguin being a woman and having two sons is one such things. Reason for the gender swap was because the showrunners think Batman didn’t have any female baddies. Or rather, any good female baddies by the sound of an interview…
Gordon, despite having a solid VA, is incompetent, not only as a cop but also as someone who should take in consideration that innocent people could be in danger as well. Barbara, I want to say she has potential, her being tough just seems forced, even as an attorney. Another issue is that Harvey Dent in this show is a complete douche bag, then suddenly grows a conscious… right when he becomes Two Face! Not only that, but they got the WRONG side of his face burnt, then he’s killed off! Added the fact he’s voiced by someone who voiced Batman before.
Biggest issue yet: Batman, despite being the title character, is barely in the show. He also has some trouble with villains, despite his skills in combat and detective skills. Plus, as Bruce, he’s a big ass l, especially to Alfred! The man who basically RAISED him! Look, maybe the season has him grow into the hero he’s known for and learns to be more charitable.
Look, the show’s only on its first season and in most cases, that’s only testing the water. I still have faith in Bruce Timm and I hope this show gets better as it does have positive moments and good ideas here and there. But the writers and producers need to put in EFFORT if they want the show to succeed.
This is purely my opinion, I respect if others saw more positivity in the first season.

Old Concept
Posted a year agoAs we all know, many movies and TV shows have a concept pitch; where ideas are swapped here and there on what can happen, what works, what’s left out, what’s used another time, what changed, and what’s scrapped.
Sadly, most of the time, unused concepts are often much, much better than what’s put out; but there are still times where the final product is either better or decent enough.
However, one particular movie that many know about is something much, much different than what was put out. Of course I mean Ralph Bakshi’s attempt at a less restrained Roger Rabbit flick; Cool World.
Ralph Bakshi is a man who needs no introduction since he’s one of the first pioneers to try and make cartoons for adults. Well, one of them, but the point stands. He made a couple of adult animated flicks, plus a great short lived animated HBO series called Spicy City. Coonskin standing out since it also did half animated and half live-action.
When Who Framed Roger Rabbit came out and blessed the world with Jessica Rabbit. This motivated Ralph to do his own spin… but then… his idea was rejected a lot of times. When one studio DID agree to fund his movie, there was so much executive meddling that the final project that was shown was COMPLETELY different from what his vision was. He even punched a producer for it, he was that pissed off.
Not gonna lie; the movie is a mess, and not in a fun, cartoony way it was trying to do. Critics were hard on it because it didn’t take advantage of being for adults, which isn’t unfounded. Sure, Ralph graced us with Holli Would; a woman no less a femme fatale than Jessica Rabbit, but the damage was already done.
See what many don’t realize is that, before all the meddling; Cool World was supposed to be a horror flick where Holli was supposed to be a a cartoon character who was part human. I don’t know the full details, but it sounds MUCH better than what was put out. Good thing Brad Pitt and Charlie Adler were too talented to be derailed after this.
Then it hit me…. In this day and age of remakes and reboots; can reusing the horror concept work in modern days? I mean, sure, hand drawn animation isn’t as big as it used to be, but nothing is impossible if a studio as small and cheap as Full Moon can release a movie with stop motion in the 2020s.
I personally hope someone can convince Bakshi and some Indie company to use the horror concept of Cool World one day. Sure, there’d have to be changes, but maybe, in the right hands, it can all work out.

Concerns about Caped Crusader
Posted a year agoAs many a DC knows, the trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader has dropped… and I’m excited for it! It’s going back to its roots as more a noir-style radio drama that will have Batman as more a detective. However, as much as I praise it, I do have some concerns…
Don’t worry, I’ll avoid being political, God knows those types preach but don’t practice. It’s been said the show will be a period piece set in the 1940s, which is cool… but… you have Gordon as African-America and Harley Quinn as Asian-American, but Gordon is still the police commissioner and Harley is still bi since she’ll be in a relationship with Renee Montoya. I’m not against those, but I’m pretty sure the 40s were opposed to many minority groups of the time and homophobia was much, much worse then than it is now. And oh boy, is it bad now.
If the period piece is just for the setting, I’ll accept that, and I’m not asking the show to be hardcore 40s. I’m still looking forward to this show, and I’m happy Brice Timm is in control again and is handling Harley and Montoya (though I’m sad Dini’s not there) and you bet I’ll be watching each ep.
I hope this concerns are just me thinking too much, because it’s easy for modern writers to make any decade like it is now, when they really weren’t.

Late Review: Ultraman Uprising
Posted a year agoI'll admit, I've only seen a few Ultra series, and the ones I first saw were Westernized versions of two in particular; Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, which was adapted from Hyper Agent Gridman (though I didn't find out till I was a teenager), and the 4Kids dub of Ultraman Tiga (fuck that company, greatest TMNT or not). After doing research and seeing some shows, some OG, some throughout the years, some even modern; I was able to enjoy Ultraman.
Not only is this, like, the fourth time the IP had a Westernized, but the first time that it's a Western animated property; animated no less. Now, the Ultra in this movie isn't Shin Hayata, the first Ultraman, but two new characters; Kenji Sato, Ken for short, and his father before him.
The movie itself... I liked it. It had a good message of family, the characters had decent (not perfect, just decent) developement, and it was refreshing to see that not all Kaiju were mindless monsters. Heck, even the organization that's supposed to protect humanity here isn't completely clean. Which gives the story a morally grey and complex dynamic.
If you like Ultraman, you might enjoy Uprising.

(Belated) Ken's Father's Day
Posted a year agoThe dingo sat back against the palm tree, staring out at the beach as the sun began to set. Laying on his lap were his son and daughter, Bren and Jen, tuckered out from running around, playing in the sand, and swimming around in the water; it warmed his heart knowing his little ones were able to have fun in the sun... even though their mother were no longer around... He shook his head; his beloved wouldn't want him to dwell on that. No, he would live, for himself as well as his pups.
He didn't need to be perfect... he just needed to be a father and be there for his kids.

Realizing MMPR Season 3
Posted a year agoRewatching MMPR, the show has its highs and lows… highest being Jason defeating a monster using the Red Dragon Thunder Zord solo… lowest being the eps after Jason, Zack, and Trini left in Season 2… Season 3 was a huge step up in the writing, but by then; fans were getting tired of the Zyuranger and Kiba Ranger suit. But none of that has anything to do with what this journal.
After rewatching all of MMPR, it’s come to my attention that the season starts and ends on the same exact note… the good guys lose! Now I know that the bad guys had their share of victories over all three seasons, but not like this! The Thunderzords, and Dino Zords by proxy, were destroyed and the Rangers lost their powers nearly the same way Tommy lost the Green Ranger powers, sans any candles. Cue meeting Ninjor, gaining the powers of Ninjetti, the Ninja Zords, Shogun Zords, Kat taking over for Kim as Pink Ranger, becoming kinds and having help from the Rangers of Aquatar. But when they became teenagers again… Goldar and Rito set explosives and destroy the Command Center. This ending MMPR.
Sure, the Rangers would lose again come Turbo, and the Power Chamber would be gone for good after Divatox, a villains who was LESS threatening as Rita, Zedd, and even Mondo, has her forces destroy it. But in MMPR… it’s different… You see, I think Season 3 did a good job of further showing that though they do their best; the good guys don’t always win every battle. And it was done by a bumbling henchman of a brother Rito is to Rita.
Not only that, but it’s the only time the heroes lost major battles twice.
If there are any other battles where loss is felt in the PR universe, lemme know.

MMPR AU Season 3 Redux
Posted a year agoOkay, after some revisions, I’ve thought of an alt version of my AU for MMPR’s season 3.
First Season: Stays the same.
Second Season: The Stone Canyon Trio join the cast, but don’t replace Jason, Zack, and Trini. Tommy becomes the White Ranger, but doesn’t become the leader.
The third season goes as I say in the previous journal, but with a twist; Jason, Trini, and Zack get captured! Once the Evil Space Aliens find the Shogun Zords and capture Ninjor, Lord Zedd goes the extra mile and captures four of the Rangers. Billy, using his intellect, creates four new coins, which will only last a few tries before becoming unstable and dangerous to use. Kat, still a bad guy at the time, still captures Kim before her redemption. Here, the Stone Canyon Trio and Kat briefly become Power Rangers before rescuing the captured Rangers; Tommy even assumes role as leader in Jason’s absence. From here, the events of Season 3 go on with the Rangers becoming kids, Billy regaining his age and becoming the leader, the de aged team looking for the Zeo Crystal fragments, only Tommy, Rocky, Kat, Aisha, and Adam go through tests. Tanya trades places with Aisha, the Command Center is destroyed and the MMPR powers are damaged. Finally, after the Power Chamber is built, Tommy, Adam, Rocky, Aisha and Kat become the Zeo Rangers, and the MMPR team gives them their blessing.
If I said it before, I’ll say it again: I DO NOT like Rocky as the Red Ranger, I respect his character, but he just didn’t fit the role; even if the Red Ranger wasn’t prominent when he joined the team. I made this to respect the Stone Canyon Trio, though let’s face it, Adam is the sole cool member of the three.

Mama's Day 2024
Posted a year agoSaying Ken Dalton was nervous would be a huge understatement; sure, he had been on many dates with many women, but that didn't make it less easy. He fixed himself soon as he reached the front porch of the house, then knocked on the door. With countless things that could go wrong, not just the fact he was a single father. Even though he was shocked to find out not many minded he was a dad, they even found it even more hot that he was a "Super Dad". Few of them were even mothers themselves. The dingo didn't have to wait too long when the door opened.
"I do hope I didn't keep you waiting too long~"
The dingo was at a loss for words... There stood Eloise Corduroy, the motherly hyena wore a lovely red dress that seemed tailored maid for her body and her body alone. Not only did it hug and show a bit of her bust, but it also showed a lot of leg. Her long hair flowing freely. The dingo was utterly speechless; knowing fully well how her daughters inherited her looks and charms. But it was no less stunning to see a woman as lovely as she was mature.
giggle "Ready for our date, Sugah?"
"... Not really, but I can manage...."
The hyena giggled as she hugged his left arm.
"Let's be off then."
Happy Mother's Day!

Season of the Wench Scenes and Poster Ideas
Posted a year agoThought a lot about it, and I’ve decided to have scenes from my masterpiece; “Season of the Wench” as drawn by the oh so very talented
gNaw himself.

And as such, I’ve decided to make a couple of comms based on scenes I put in the description of SotW’s “trailer”. I’ll not say which is which, or which will come first, I just hope they’ll be as good as I envisioned.
Also, been thinking about it, and I was hoping to make posters out of the other three pornos listed on SotW; if anyone has an idea or wants to make new ones with me; don’t be afraid to hit me up.

Deep Confession
Posted a year agoI’m hesitant to talk about this… but I know I need to let it all out if I want to move forward.
It’s been nearly ten years since I’ve joined FA and I’ve met a lot of great people here and seen much of their work over the years… unfortunately… there are some that I don’t feel as fondly about. You see, I’ve met other who just up and blocked me; I guess some had their reasons, but there were others I didn’t know but they blocked me too. I won’t get overworked, because that’s not worth the trouble.
Not only that, there are those I wish I never met, or feel as though I should’ve never approached; like always, I won’t name names, I won’t throw tantrums over them. I just feel that many of who I met have great ideas in their works and I only hold them back just by talking to them. Others… I’d rather not talk about.
I guess I doubt myself too often and the negative things that happened over the years hammered some of it in; I try not to let get me down too much, I’m just emotional that way. Doesn’t help that those I keep away from have the same likes as I do… but again, I have to pull through and not let anything like that bother me.
I am very grateful to meet those I’ve met here and talk to on Discord, and I understand things happen in their lives too. I hope speaking through here can make a difference.

Idea Pitch: ZZ Scouting Loa
Posted a year agoOkay, been mulling over this lately, and I think I just might do something about it in a couple of months. Before we start, I asked permission by both owners to use their OCs and as long I show them each update and final product, everything is fine.
Let us pretend that the infamous Double Z herself, Zig Zag, came across old footage of none other than Maman Brigitte. Looking into her history, ZZ finds that Brigitte had even starred in many pornos, with four of her being in the lead; on of which was with a certain disco doe the tiger skunk admired! Unfortunately, since Maman Brigitte was only a stage name, she could not locate her.
Years later, after getting a check up, ZZ would meet a hyena nurse by the name of Eloise Corduroy and instantly be smitten. She’d strike up a conversation and ask to hang out. One thing leads to another and the mature hyena would find herself in bed with the hybrid lady, who INSISTS on hiring her for some projects. Even finding out the hyena is the mother of six daughters doesn’t deter her, especially since said daughters grew into some fine ladies.
The surprises kept coming when Eloise revealed that she moonlit for pornos from a mutual friend; a certain bull she collaborated more than once, who was more than happy to allow Eloise to work for her.
Now I ask, what could the scenarios be for my dear yeen nurse and which girls (and one dude) are the best to rut with her? List are as follows: ZZ herself, Tina Lynx, Stacey and Tracey, Sheila Vixen, Pussy Noir, Helen Dish, Hoss.

Thoughts on the MMPR Movie 1995
Posted a year agoMan, I’m really starting to criticize my childhood left and right recently, aren’t I? I’m not trying to ruin Power Rangers for everyone, nor am I trying to say you shouldn’t watch any of what I put down, these are just my thoughts.
After rewatching the 90s PR movie, it occurred to me… the movie isn’t really all that good. At all. It begins with the suits being visor less, which had production postpone its initial release. Next is that the Rangers, Billy, Lim, Rocky, and Aisha, were given enhancements that never showed up after the movie. Also the fact the whole thing… just felt like an extended episode, which is rarely a good thing for movies based on TV shows.
Next is the main villain himself, Ivan Ooze and his evil Zords. Ivan, he was over the top and hammy, which did fit in the tone with the show, and he was even able to destroy the Command Center, something that would carry into MMPR’s third season. Like Lord Zedd, he was original to Power Rangers, with no direct ties to Super Sentai; unfortunately, this makes the character a double edged sword as he had potential, but went out in a whimper after being killed by a comet.
Then there’s Mordant… like… what was the point of him. Those who don’t know, Mordant was the pig monster that accompanied Zedd and Rita, alongside Goldar. I don’t think his name was ever dropped once and we’re never given a clear answer why he was there. Source may says he’s a distant relative of Goldar, and was an apparent stand-in of Baboo, Squat, and Finster. Only he was MUCH more useless than the three combined, and Finster made monster for Zedd and Rita.
Also the fact the computer effects were absolute crap, but that can be attributed that CG was still young.
Look, I’m trying not to judge this movie too harshly and I know many worked hard to get this off the ground; even though we all know how Saban “spares no expense”. What really helps that it’s a stand alone with no ties to the series and be its own thing. I’m just feel that as a kid, this movie was kickass, but as an adult… you feel as much of what you liked wasn’t really as good as you thought.
Lastly I’d like to bring up that Jason, Zack, and Trini were originally supposed to be in it, but of course; Saban was too cheap to discuss payment. Seeing how the movie is… the actors dodged a major bullet. Guessing that’s the prime reason for being a Segway into season 3.
Like I said, these are my thoughts and opinions; do I think Jason, Zack and Trini deserved to be in the movie more than Rocky, Adam, and Aisha? Yes. But I’m not going to discredit the latter trio, especially since Adam’s one of my all time fave Rangers.
I do respect if there are fans of the movie, this is just how I feel.

Realizing Tommy Oliver MMPR
Posted a year agoOkay, likely people are going to be pissed off or flame me for saying what I’m about to say; just so you know, I’m not going to trash talk Tommy, he’s still one of my all time fave Rangers, even if he’s not my number one. I stand by Jason, now and forever (and I’ll NEVER condemn his actor).
Really, this is how I feel about his character after becoming the White Ranger in MMPR; so with all that said, let’s go:
As we all know, MMPR lasted three seasons and a miniseries as its finale, with stock footage from three different Super Sentai shows for the suits, zords, monsters, and all else. Mostly at least. Halfway into the second season, Tommy Oliver, who started as the Green Ranger, became the White Ranger and new leader of the MMPR team. And that is where the issue begins…. Tommy never really earned his place as leader, he was just randomly appointed, even when the last time we fully see Jason; he still announced “It’s MORPHIN’ Time!” as the leader usually does.
Now, I’m not saying he wasn’t a good leader, he was; the problem is that it wasn’t until the Zeo era that Tommy truly earned his role as leader as he had a new team with new powers. One could argue Jason was chosen spermatically, but we saw what made him leadership material before Zordon chose him. You don’t realize as an adult, but certain flaws are seen when you rewatch enough times.
Again, not trash talking Tommy, he’s a legend and he did earn his role as leader. Just not during MMPR. It just felt like it was handed to him, but that was more on what happened during production behind the scenes.
I understand if you disagree, this is just how I feel.
RIP Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank
