Posted 4 years agoI'm taking one semi emergency commission slot. I have a hefty queue, but I still have to get my tags renewed and I need to make sure my food situation is alright. I have been having panic attacks since I was a kid and I thought I was used to them. But according to the doctor I saw last night, what I have been experiencing is severe panic attacks. While I still do have to worry about GERD, she said that tourettes and panic disorder are closely linked. On top of that, having tourettes somehow makes the panic attacks worse. This being the case, I am going to have to do some rehabilitation to lessen the intensity of my tourettes, if not to get rid of them entirely. I am going to need to see a neurologist as well to make sure I am getting the treatment I need for it.
But this is why my stress levels and depression spells have been so bad and it explains why I can't summon the energy to work, among other things. So while I am still pushing forward trying to get as much work as I can done, I a still going to need some help. I have lowered the goal for the gofundme from 6,000 to 4,000, since it appears that I will not be needing surgery afterall. But of course, the doctor's visits are still going to cost money. Every little bit helps. And thank you all for remaining so patient with me.

-I am sorry, but I do not accept feral, taur, human or humanoid/flat faced commissions. These commissions are anthro only! (I'd like to add, since there has been some confusion that by no humanoid, I just mean faces! I still do take comms with mostly human bodies, so long as they are anthro/animal faced)
-Please do not ask me to draw political, controversial or illegal themes.
-I will not accept extreme fetishes such as cub, scat, gore, death and so on. I also will not draw hyper. When in doubt, we can always discuss what I consider to be extreme. Minor kinks are okay.
-Please know what you want! Be ready with references, if you have them. Otherwise, try to supply a detailed description. If you have images to help me get an idea of your character's design, that will help. And of course, unless it is an artistic freedom piece, please explain the pose and theme. Again, visual aids help! Otherwise, we can discuss those details. Once we settle on the details and I have started on the piece, please try not to change them. Minor changes when I send WIPs are fine. Significant changes or several changes will incur a charge. Fixes for mistakes on my part will, of course, not incur a charge.
-Please do not ask me to break anatomy to get bits you want to see in view for a given pose, or to draw in another artist's style.
-The OC I am doing art of must either belong to you, or you must have permission from the owner to use it for the piece.
-I work on an assembly line process. So I finish all the sketches for the set before moving onto the lines and so on for each stage. I will send WIPs for approval. I must have approval before I move on for your piece.
-I require at least a partial payment before I start working on your piece. The full/final payment must be made before I deliver the final product and the files.
-I do require invoices. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it makes it easier to keep track of commissions and completed payments.
-I must be allowed to post the work that I complete on my pages. I do not accept private commissions.
-Work involving highly complex character designs, complex clothing/armor or alternate versions will incur an extra charge which we can discuss before work starts. If you want multiple versions, please inform me before work starts so I can plan accordingly.
-You are ABSOLUTELY allowed to purchase any tier and upgrade it later! The only exceptions are for backgrounds and adding characters, since that kind of thing affects compositions and requires editing of the original work to make it look right.
-Please consider that my work takes time to come together. I ask for patience, but definitely feel free to check for updates! Just kindly try not to pressure or rush me. I want to make sure I do your piece justice!

I'm in a tough spot (and I might need some help..)
Posted 6 years agoSo I out of money, nearly out of food and the next bit of money coming in is likely not coming for another couple of weeks. I am not quite ready to open an early commission queue, but I will do so as soon as I can. In the mean time, I am going to have to do something for food. Birthday break
Posted 6 years agoHeads up! My birthday is coming up on the 22nd. I plan on taking the day off of commission work. I may still do work on some of the gift stuff I've been wanting to work on for so long, but we'll see! Anyway, I'll be busting tail up until that point. Thank you for your patience! I am posting this for the benefit of my commissioners as well.
And on that note, I am back on track after a long series of delays, for those who do not know. All sketches have been completed and I am one and a half sets of line work away from being done with that too. After that, it's flats and shading. I am hoping that I will be done by the end of the month, if not by the time my birthday comes around, but either way, I will be taking the day to relax a bit. Thank you for your patience!

TAKING COMMISSIONS

Sketch = 40USD +20 per added character
Sketch + lines = 65 USD + 25 per added character
Sketch + lines + flats = 100 USD +45 per added character
Sketch + lines + flats + shading = 160 USD + 50 per added character
Background Tiers:
40USD to add a simple background
65USD to add a complex background
100USD to add a full scene
The complexity of backgrounds will be determined when discussing commission terms
I need to earn 1500USD, so what I am going to do is take however many commissions I need to do in order to make that amount and finish as close to Christmas as I possibly can. I will be able to start work on these commissions on the 25th of this month, which gives me just over a week to finish the current set.
The commission terms are as follows:
-Please know what you want. I want to work with you to make sure I deliver the best product possible without making you wait forever to get it. The whole process will be made easier if I don't have to go back and make last minute changes. I will send works in progress as I reach each phase so that corrections can be made.
-I do not draw extreme fetishes. This includes rape, cub, gore, death, scat and hyper. I am alright with large parts as long as they aren't excessive. Soft or suggestive vore is alright as long as there is no damage. I do not do pregnancy.
-I will draw fanart of existing characters from shows and games, but any OC must belong to you, or you must have permissions to use the OC is it belongs to someone else
-All payment is up front and commissions will be worked on in the order they are taken.
-I work on my commissions via assembly line process. This means that I complete each stage for the entire set before moving to the next step. This helps me complete projects faster so that no one will have to wait too much longer than the others to receive their completed commissions.
-Once your commissions is confirmed, please note me your terms and any references of your character that you might have. Once that is done, I will send you my Paypal email.
-Payment must be ready at the time that the commission is claimed. If you don't have the funds at the time, but will, I will still accept your commission, but I will not start until the funds have been sent through.

Commissions opening more regularly
Posted 7 years agoSo I left my job today and this job is the biggest reason I haven't been producing art as frequently as I should. In fact, having a job at all has been holding me back. And on top of that, I got my CPAP machine, so the health related concerns for my art delays will also be gradually improving.
This being said, I will be able to open up for commissions more frequently. I still have to save up to buy a new computer, but I fully expect my current list of commissions to be complete in 1-2 weeks time. Posted 7 years agoOkay, so I need to raise up 1500 USD in order to get my new workstation. Since the computer I am on is on its last leg, I need to get a new one, although I still still be able to work on new projects while I wait for the parts to arrive. If I can get this done, I will be one step closer to being able to do art as my full time job and to move into my own place.

Since the computer I am on is on its last leg, I need to get a new one, although I still still be able to work on new projects while I wait for the parts to arrive. If I can get this done, I will be one step closer to being able to do art as my full time job and to move into my own place.

As it stands, my new job is actually costing me money, rather than making it and I need to take steps to get out of this hole. Terms are as follows:
Fixed price of 200USD for two fully painted, singe character pieces with a moderately complex background.

Posted 7 years agoWell guys, my computer is on the fritz. I need money to buy a new one fast, so I am going to be taking some commissions so that I can hopefully buy it outright. I have a couple more T-shirts to design and then I can re-work my prices and open up. I can still do work on my current workstation, of course, so doing normal comms shouldn't be an issue. Figured I'd give everyone the heads up since I'm gonna need to grab comms ASAP. Current prices are probably going to be somewhere around 150-200 USD for full painted single character pieces (full body with simple BGs).

Posted 7 years agoIt's been a while since I have been able to do personal art, due to the work I have been doing commissions, but once I finish my last commission in the set, which I am working on now, I will be able to get to putting my newer OC's on canvas, plus a few gifts I promised to some friends of mine. I am hoping I can get the last piece out quickly, but I don't want any of my work to suffer by being rushed, so I can't say when I can start, exactly. Just know that they are coming! I have two birbs and a bat. Hazel, the bearded vulture, Azure, the smol bat and Zenith, the penguin!

More health news/ commission status
Posted 8 years agoAlright, so I have found out why it is I keep getting so sick nearly repeatedly. I apparently have hidden mold in the house that's probably circulating spores through the air conditioning system. The good news is that it explains everything. Why I've been so tired lately and, again, why I always seem to be sick. Mold's no small issue though. If it gets up to a certain point, that shit can be dangerous. And so the bad news is that it's going to cost me a lot of money to fix, most likely. So I am going to finish my current batch of commissions, but after that, I may have to wait on taking more until the issue is resolved.
Fully Recovered!
Posted 8 years agoSo it took a while for it to go away, but I'm basically fully recovered! My eardrums are still ruptured, but, as far as I can tell, no longer infected. I am still getting a bit of chest congestion here and there, but I don't anticipate a huge problem. This means I can get back to work without having to break off every few minutes! I have a lot of lost time to make up for on the current commission batch, but I'm hoping I'll be able to push those out without any more delays. Sorry for the sick leave, everyone!
Out of Action for a few days
Posted 8 years agoJust as a heads up to anyone looking forward to my current projects, I need to let you all know that I have been out of action for the past few days and will likely continue to have trouble working due to illness.
I went to the doctor and then to emergency room for an upper respiratory infection that caused a double ear infection. Surprisingly, of the two conditions, the ear infections proved to be the more unpleasant. The pain from the pressure is what has kept me down the past few days, but both ear drums finally burst. They should heal on their own, but this is when th drainage is going to be at its worst, I believe and I am going to need see to it that I keep everything clean so as not to risk further and worse infection. I will attempt to work through this, especially since I am no longer in severe pain and can actually start to focus again.
