So... yeah... this past 2 weeks have been "fun"... BF was sick all week 2 weeks ago and then had to go into the hospital... ON HIS BIRTHDAY... he's been in for a week and a half now. I'm incredibly bad at self and house maintenance... Been sleeping horribly, such that I woke up exceptionally dizzy and still tired even after a full 11 hours of overnight sleep. I don't even.

I helped my neighbour move today, which sucks because it was the hottest day we've had all summer... and now the dogs are gone :( sad face. And there's fur in my car now... :(

So, AC was good... when I wasn't passing out from exhaustion despite doing almost nothing all weekend :| When I came home, it was another couple of days before I recovered from whatever the heck had happened... Which I think might have been migraines + SSRI's I was taking. Not taking them anymore, and fairly certain on migraines because when I started treating it like a migraine, it stopped. FFS. apparently the 2 together cause a pretty severe reaction, potentially life threatening. Not doing that again.

Anyway. Once I got better, my boyfriend started getting sick. He spent all last week very warm, not eating much, and sleeping a lot. He was better briefly on Wednesday, then got way worse. Friday night, he was eating small things, so I thought he was finally better. Nope. 7:30 AM, off to the ER. 8 am, admitted to ER critical care unit in an isolation room. Eventually transferred to the ICU in iso. They filled him with fluids, gave him a cath, then a bunch of blood cultures, antibiotics, blood pressure was 80/50, he had a fever... he wasn't allowed to sit up at all. Next day he was transferred end of day to a regular floor in another iso room. Holy crap do I ever hate having to wear a gown and gloves just to come say hi.

Sigh. Wednesday afternoon he was discharged, given a low dose of antibiotics to take at home, he had a good pressure and no fever since sunday. Yay, home! Then today happened. He had a fever again and low BP (his mum took him to the clinic and they suggested go back to the ER). Now he's there again.

Goddamnit, I just want to work on my AC commissions so I can resume my regular commissions so I can start taking NEW commissions to cover the fact that I'm not working again until August 6th and I really want to have a regular income.

Can't he just NOT be sick for, oh, Idk, at least a fricking month? coming up on almost 3 years of just constant illness. It's just... grah. I just don't even words. I'd like to say I'm sleeping worse for him being away, but apart from being up ridiculously late, I've been sleeping more solidly with him not always moving and making noises all the time. Which is... good? I guess?

I just don't even t this point.

I've been distinctly absent the past.... month... because I started a new jorb on April 28th! It was full time for the first 3 weeks, and now I've just finished my first week off training. Well, tomorrow will be the last day of my first week off training.

ANYWAY

It's 10 hour day shift work. This means I'm pretty tired on the days I'm working, and then I've had very few days not working this past month, which included a Convention in Montreal (6.5 hour drive each way, woooo), seeing my family (my mother just lost her job, booooo), and.... sleep. Oh and doctor visits. Checkups and things. anyway

I've had my computer actively on for maybe 3 days of this past month, and only actually AT it for maybe at most an hour at a time, cleaning up messages. Most activity you see on my page (favourites) are through my phone. So, I apologise that I haven't been... very ... what's the brainword... informative? Haven't updated anyone really lately on anything? alas. Monday will be the first of a few days off, and it'll start to settle down now.

For now, I really appreciate the patience from anyone who hasn't heard from me in a bit, I'm just really drained from variable shifts (6:30 -16:30, 13:30 - 23:30, later this week 23:00 - 07:00, a few 8:00 - 16:00...) hurgleblork.

Yup. Looks like the drives are very slowly dying and windows decided that a corrupted, extremely important series of files, should be copied over to both halves of the array. So completely irrecoverable by simply re-raiding.

Yay.

In short, it no longer validates as a genuine version of windows. Missing files rampant. Easiest to just reinstall.

This week is final exams, I have two exams (one in an hour), and then I have my final driver's test to full licence on Thursday. I have til Friday to hand in all my assignments. I'm sorry I haven't replied to some of you, I just haven't had really the time this past week - week and a half to do much at all, not to mention overall feeling shitty.

Thursday uneventful. Did reg. Met up with a missed friend. Gave conbook from con they missed. Went swimming, played wenis rodeo. heheheheh. Sleeping again.

Went to zoo, arted about, saw some panels. Went to dealers room, gave cookies to  kyell. heeheehee. Went to ADP. Didn't go as planned. Many sadface at  kiteless :| :( single tear. Slept more.

Apologies for unintended absenteeism.

Oh, yeah, this past Monday I had to wait at Canadian Tire to get a tire replaced. Another fucking flat. This time on the winter tires... Oh well, the bad rim was found out and replaced at the same time, so. win-win? IDK.

;_; Just wish I had more time the past 2 weeks =S

A bit last-minute, but we're moving on the 15th! Just across town though. We looked at the place Wednesday, and it's been very quick to getting the papers all signed for the 1st, but it'll be worth it. Much better space for us to live in ^^

Only problem is I will only really have cell phone internet after the 15th, until idk when, because we're holding out for our ISP to release the (better) new vdsl modem so we can get the nicer service set up from the start. If it gets much into January we'll probably get internet anyway but it'll suck to get internet at 15/1 then have to pay an upgrade fee of $50 to get the 15/10 less than a month later. Bleh.

Anyway, next two weeks will be mostly packing some things and then um. Little bit of art where I can squeeze it in.

I'm hoping to open up some sorta special commission slots to help fund the moving costs! Ten slots, $50 each, your character in a slightly stylised portrait with a little bit of background. Portrait here refers to a partial body picture, and something preferably in the seasonal feel :) Snow, xmas stuff, warm clothes, hot drinks :) These will hopefully be completed before FC but again I won't have much in the way of internet so I'll try to send out the completions as soon as possible (might be after FC)

Completely forgot that the bf had a dr's appointment in another city on Friday, so Thursday we drove out, were there till saturday, and then I went to go have lunch with my mother (since we were in the area). nephews were there, but importantly, my mother hadn't made the soup! D8 I gave her an easy to follow recipe that should have been easy to do before we got there... SO I had to help make all the food, more people appeared, and then instead of 2 hours for lunch, we were there 5 or 6 ;_; not the worst thing, but, I wanted to be home sooner. anyway we got home, I was braindead so dinner with some friends, early bed.

Yesterday: I get up to work on some stuff... A monitor is dead! YAY -.- I find it incredibly difficult to work on things at all with only one monitor (some of my coursework I do in a VM which is exceptionally difficult to work with in a one monitor setup). So, I spent the day searching for replacements. Early Xmas gift from the bf because I wouldn't have been able to afford that myself :(

Anyway, I have some new monitors, hopefully they stay awesome for the next 3 - 4 years! they were on sale for $209 each, Samsung something or others. series 5 24 inch monitors. 16:9, but I supposed that's okay.

sigh.

Now to be productive again...

Fuckin' rear driver's side tire blew today. I was borrowing the car, so I drove the bf to work (his car), stopped for gas on the way, and then on my way back, a guy yells through my window "Hey, your tires!! Look at your tires!!". Obviously I went wtf and stopped at the next plaza. Super flat tire. Our pump didn't work. Of course. The tire shop/garage in the plaza? Busy til 3 pm. (Note, 9:30 am at the time). Couldn't even have a guy take 5 minutes to help swap the doughnut for me.

Luckily we had CAA that's valid til end of November, but the bf had to be with the car for it to be valid cause it's under his name, so his boss gave him a ride, and then just as he got there the CAA guy got there. Doughnut on, yay! Then the battery was dead. Of course. CAA guy gave us a boost, we went home. Grabbed winter tires, figure we can go to a shop and have them swap the wintertires instead of bothering with buying a new all season right now.

Nobody available until next week.

One dealership open for tire repair as a quick service, so we drop in and give them the car for that. 2 hours later, oh hey we can't fix this tire, there's been a puncture that destroyed the entire side wall.

so now the car is at the shop, getting the winter tires put on. My day is long since ruined, and it's impossible for me to do the errands I needed the car for. Boo. But at least the winter tires will be on now.

So the past couple weeks got away from me, been off and busy and just didn't want to draw at all... Then I had midterms, and finished a project and had to winter the motorcycle yesterday :( :( :(

Now, getting back to working on things. feeling better about drawing stuff today than last week. woooo

I have two mid-term exams next week and a lot of reading for assignments. Learning Java and PHP, and it's very frustrating.

anyway it's taking up most of my time just... all the bloody reading, and then the example code doesn't even work how the textbook expects it to... :S anyway, working on an assignment atm, due tomorrow night, should be really simple in theory.

...That's why I'm so quiet right now ;_;
