working hard. playing hard.
Posted 10 years agoSo just an update for 2015. Im back living in east texas. I had a job as a metallurgical scientist. Did that for 5 months. Got laid off due to drop in oil market. Went through a semester of college at a university. Took 4 advance bio classes at once. Not a good idea. Made it through it. Been trying hard to get a job. Filled out lots and lots of job applications. I may be hired once more as a vet tech at a local vet clinic. We will see if its offical next week. Also have a position as a flexable part time security officer. So yay progress.
Been hanging out a lot with church buddies. Been running the lakes in my friend's mud boat. <3 also been fishing and swimming. Plus im getting into bow fishing. Tonight I got all the parts to turn one of my old bows into a bow fishing bow. Been out at the lakes spill way shooting gar mostly. Also had a chance to get a 24 ft pontoon boat that needed LOTS of work and repairs. But after calculating costs. I realised I couldnt afford to get it. Oh well. Ill get one eventually.
Also been working small jobs for family. At one point I spent a week cleaning up and out a small barn. Where I fought off the hordes of deadly brown recluses. To which I barely escaped with my life. But I got the job done injury and sickness free.
Plus im going to try to buy the house im living in. Then ill have my own 3 bed 2 bath house to pay morgage on instead of rent on.
Also i said it before. I have ruger the gshep fursuit back in my possession. I have him again. He is no longer stolen. So anyway thats my update for now.

Posted 10 years agoOk everyone I have been waiting to update everyone on the fursuit. Ruger the Gshep suit has been returned. I carefully looked him and there is no damages and the kid also paid me bach for the shipping. Because I got the suit back and I have been paid for the shipping, im no longer presuing the person or his parents in court. Im dropping all charges.
And before yall all say I should take him to court anyway. I know all the avenues to which I could have brought charges aginst him or his parents. I could have cost him a lot more money than just the price of the suit and put a permanent mark on his recored. But because I got the suit back and refunded for my costs. I can, and will forgive him and drop all charges.
To be honest this has all been a big pain in the ass and a huge waste of time. And now that I have the suit back im not going to waste any more time on it.
I want to THANK EVERYONE for getting the word out. You all were a great and powerful force that more than helped me with this case. Please spread the word that the suit is no longer blacklisted. It is back in my possession.

Posted 11 years agoSo guys im going to be opening up my leather shop once more in a couple of weeks. and already i have a large order for 10 pair of rodeo chaps that im excited to get to work on!

and just so you all know, i am a proud supporter of SeaWorld and i stand behind them. and that is not because i work for them. i say that because of the conservation and education programs they have run and funded for decades.
i work as a SCUBA diver for the zoological department, so i have witnessed the level of care the staff has for all of their animals. and from my experience as a ranch manager, horse owner and horse trainer, i am very pleased and proud of the amount of love and care the zoological staff devotes to the animals there.
so what do yall think?

Posted 12 years agoso yea this is just an about how i am dooing lately journal.
and my biggest news is... i have a job at Sea World. now i am not a killer whale trainer yet... YET... but for the moment i do have an awesome job. i am fixing to start working as a diver there. my job is titled Maintenance Diver so i will most of the time be going into all of the tanks and cleaning them and repairing them. and i get to swim with all of the animals. (except killer whales u.u ) only a hand full of people can go into the water with them. but even then i get to dive with sharks, dolphins, stingrays, belugas. sea lions, penguins, and many other animals.
i did my swim, dive, and scuba test in the sting ray tank and it was so much fun. as i am swimming laps, i have the sting rays just gliding under me, it was awesome.
and what really got my hopes up is the head of the zoological department was the one who tested me. and as we were talking, she asked why i hadn't applied for animal trainer. i said i didn't feel experienced enough too. she said with as much horse training experience i have had, i do qualify. and she said with having a job as a diver that would really help me to get into the training department.
i never imagined i could be this close to having one of my dream jobs. ^.=.^
on another note... my truck is not well, its rather sick. but who cares... i get to be a diver at sea world!!! :P

Posted 12 years agook guys, i every wensday night here in San Antonio the local furries have an art night were the local artists all gather and well work on art. i go along and take my computer, and well i pretend to do art. :P
but lately i have been learning how to use paint program sai. and for that i have been line arting and coloring sketches. well i have kind of run out of just sketches of Drift to work on. and really i dont have any sketches of anything else.
so this is where my brilliant idea comes, if you draw a sketch of drift and your charactor and send it to me with a link to your reference sheet, i will line art the picture and color it. (to the best of my abilities) so... in a since it an art collab. but the thing is i cant draw worth a crap. (no really i cant) but i am working on learning how to line art the sketches and color them. and hopefully by doing that i can learn to draw too.
and to limit my self and not get over boarded at once. i may only do the first five. But i do get to choose other wise and please remember i am just learning so things wont be perfect, and it will take me some time to get them done.
so my requirements again are,

And from that journal the discussion of guns came up. so i am curious what do you think about guns. like anything. guns, gun safety, gun shootings. gun control. guns... now please keep in mind this is just a simple discussion, please do not attack anyone's opinion. there are going to be disagreements.
i live in Texas. and i grew up in the country. i was around a lot of guns. and i am a supporter of guns. i got my first gun when i was nine. but i was taught about guns long before that. and from the very beginning i was taught 6 most important rules first and for most. and if these rules were followed 98% of accidental would never happen.
1- Do not point a gun at anyone or anything. period. always keep the gun pointed in a safe place. (like at the ground.)
2- Triple check that the gun is unloaded. always make sure that any gun you handle is unloaded. do not load it until you are ready to shoot. and do not store guns loaded.
3-(growing up) do not touch, handle, anything else with a gun if there is not an adult present. you must have permission from an adult before you can handle a gun. and they must be there to supervise!
4-you must treat every gun as if it is loaded. even when it isint. no exceptions. not even toy guns.
5- before shooting confirm target, and is in clear sight, if you cant see it clearly, then dont shoot. and know exactly what is behind your target. (even up to 2 miles)
6- store your guns in a safe place. away from children. keep them out of sight or locked up.
growing up and even now i lived by those rules. and those rules should be taught to everyone. now i know that those rules wont prevent malicious shooting. but lets face it. as long as people have darkness in their hearts. they will bring pain to others. weather they use guns or by other means.
so now i wanna hear what yall think.

Posted 12 years agoGuys i want to make a rant journal. But to be honest i have nothing to rant about... A am very blessed. So this is my rant journal about not having anything to rant about.

i am in the process of all my art over. to keep from spamming FA with all my art, i will be posting 3 to 4 pictures a day. so yes all my art will slowly be added to my new page. and when im done moving it all over i will be adding some new art.
i have 2 new pictures to add when i am done. and i am waiting for artist to finish 6 more pieces of art. so there is plenty of new art on its way.
