tigreblanco passed away a few days ago.
I spent all of last year in recovery, stretching into this one. Things have been excruciatingly difficult. He was the reason I was able to hold on and keep going.
I will need to take time off to mourn, and reassess things for the future as an artist in this community.
Thank you for your support, and thank you to everyone who showed us love, shipped us, and made us fanart.

Updates on my condition and plans for 2024 coming Nov/Dec.
My TF work has been my most popular, so I'm doing an 'ALL TF SPECTACULAR!' while I'm in the hospital for a long stay.

I like TF art:
4/5 - Mid score coming from a TF artist?!
Most TF art doesn't do much for me. It's either too realistic and uncanny valley (photomorphs) or too simple and silly (toons). I like some hyper-realistic and some hyper-stylized stuff, just not very much of it. A lot of TF art is objectively "ugly" as well. I don't mean that the art is bad, I mean it's a bit gross-looking or it's body-horror. If that's your thing that's cool, but I'm not a fan of something that looks like it would come out stillborn.
In my defense, I'm a professional artist... If I can't be picky with visuals what CAN I be picky with? BUT! Even the TF art I don't like is still very cool. I'm glad it exists.
I like TF stories:
4/5 - I haven't read a lot of stories yet. It's a different medium that provides a different type of detail and perspective, which is cool!
TF content I wish there was more of:
5/5 - I wish there was more long-format art and media centered around TF. I'd love more graphic novels and such. But most of all I wish there was more tasteful high-end stuff. Content that looks and feels like it was made for a more mature audience, with adult themes and a more realistic and serious tone.
We've barely scared the surface for video game potential! And I always wish for more skillfully made TF art of character designs and species I like.
Other ways I indulge in TF:
5/5 - Outside of making TF art, it's a mental thing for me. The thing that gives me the most ~tingles~ is imagining it. Wearing TF-y fursuit stuff is also pretty effective.
TF CREATIVITY
I am a TF artist:
5/5 - My goal is to become an Iconic TF artist. Perhaps, dare I say, one of the best.
I am a TF writer:
3/5 - I write scripts for potential comics, illustration series, and other forms of visual art.
But I don't think in words, so I'd have a hard time writing a short story or novel.
Sometimes I make up little scenarios and stories and recite them over voice chat during live drawing. I find it fun but they're done on the fly so it's quite difficult and they aren't very good.
I like to RP TF:
2/5 - I've never done it so I don't know. I don't really RP, but it doesn't sound terrible.
Other ways I'm creative with TF:
4/5 - I'm currently workshopping schematics for a TF fursuit.
For me to have a good transformation experience, putting on the suit should be done simply and easily. One suit with modular parts that fit into each other. That way nothing has to be taken off and break the immersion. I'm also working on ideas for partial suits and single pieces that look very TF-y. It's fun to come up with the designs and ways to build them.
PERSONAL TF
TF has been one of my interests for as long as I can remember:
1/5 - I've only been a furry for 11 months...
But I liked some TF stuff in childhood. I liked werebeasts but it's not something that took up a lot of real estate in my mind.
What got me to realize I'm into TF:

3/5 - I'd probably try it once. But It would be way better if the experience was enjoyable rather than literal torture. TF is more about the journey than the destination after all.

4/5 - I think it would be nice if the other person was into it. As others have pointed out, if I'm going to be an 'Iconic TF Artist™ it would be weird for me to NOT be with a fellow TF lover. Especially as a creative person who likes to express themselves and their affection with art. It would be a shame not to get to use this part of my love language and let all that skill and inspiration go to waste.
Hell, I think it could be fun to work on TF projects together if our tastes matched up enough.
Even if our mutual love of TF doesn't get applied in bed, the little 'wink-wink nudge-nudge' inside joke/knowledge and understanding that personal and private side of your partner is great intimacy. When I look up at him, I'd like to know that what I see and what I picture is what he is and wants to be. That level of recognition and deep connection would be something special, and I've never had that.
If I had the power to TF one person I would choose:

I get a lot of insight into what's appealing about TF to others and that helps me create better art.

3/5 - I can enjoy almost any species if the anthro-creature design is good. Even imaginary fantasy/sci-fi species, as long as it's naturalistic or tastefully designed. I AM partial to real and naturally colored mammals for TF specifically though.

2/5 - I'm not into ferals typically. I find it to be TOO much of a transformation.
I like going from A->B->C, instead of going from A and jumping all the way to Z.

2/5 - I like a bit of growth / filling out. But growing into a giant dragon or whatever isn't my thing. Same with shrinking down. It has to be moderate. At the end of the day, if the form is truly "anthro" it should be medium size.
Expansion/Muscle TF:
1/5 - I'm more into realistic and fitting proportions. If you're turning into a hippo then obviously you're going to get a big ass from that. But going from a thin petite woman, to like, an anthro-weasel with huge tits is weird to me. If you didn't have big tits to begin with, and the animal isn't known for tits either (like a cow or something), then I find it kinda random and ill-fitting.
Gender TF:
1/5 - It does nothing for me. I find it distracting most of the time. I prefer when the person already fits with what they're transforming into.
Form TF (feral to anthro, anthro to taur, etc.):
1/5 - Not really into ferals or taurs. Pretty much only into human-to-anthro. Reverse TF is kind of cool too if the original TF going to happen again.
Tail growth:
5/5 - Love a good tail! Tail bursts are one of the best parts for me.

I have a favorite stage in the TF process:
2/5 - Not really because it's all good. Early-stage humanoid is good because you can still really recognize the person. Almost fully anthro is good because you get to see the cool end result. And mid-TF is the best for single-image artwork of course.

Forced TF:
5/5 - The shock/surprise reactions are some of the best aspects of TF for me. Angry "fuck you for doing this to me you bastard!" is also pretty good. Even sad TF can be nice if the ending is happy.
Humiliation/embarrassment TF:
4/5 - I like it when it's done in a lighthearted and playful way, otherwise I feel bad.
Resisting/Struggling TF:
5/5 - LOVE THE STRUGGLE! I love the flushing, sweating, shaking, heavy breathing, and disheveling.

5/5 - Werebeasts are one of my favorites because it's periodically forced TF. It's great for long-form stories because you can TF the characters over and over and have multiple transformation scenes.

3/5 - It can be hot during forced TF. I'm not big into bondage so it has to be done with a light and tasteful hand to suit my preferences.
Clothes ripping during TF:
5/5 - I love clothing and costumes so I love clothed TF. The ripping adds a lot of drama. The beast is bursting through! And I love a tail burst and lil' peekaboo reveal.
Nude TF:
4/5 - Nudity isn't inherently sexual. Academic nudity can be very artistic and showcase all the natural and gorgeous details of the body. But you don't get climactic bursting out of clothes or any reveals, so it's a trade-off.
Group TF:
3/5 - Like sex, I prefer a more intimate setting.
If there are too many people transforming at the same time I find it too "busy". One TF-ee at a time is my favorite. I like to focus on the experience a character is having. It's intimate and personal and I can more easily put myself in their shoes.
Public TF:
5/5 - Yes. IN FRONT OF ME! But also in front of others because it's embarrassing and you get third-party reactions which adds to the emotion. Private TF is also very good and intimate.
Sex during TF:
3/5 - It can be quite good if executed right. Overall kind of busy visually and thematically.
Sex after TF:
4/5 - Sex after TF can be prime. Two people who are now sexy anthros and are hot, sweaty, and wearing torn clothing? Say no more.
Other themes:
5/5 - I like thinking about pre/post TF life. How TF characters would interact? How would that affect relationships and society at large? It's something I like exploring while writing comics. A world where TF exists is pretty interesting. There's so much you can do with it. But I like to keep the "lore" and magic/science system simple. I prefer to focus on character dynamics and emotions in my stories.

ART TIPS
Let me preface this by saying art is subjective. These tips are only what I think will contribute to making a good picture by my own tastes, and only a specific type at that.
I plan on making a video on "How to make your artwork more erotic, interesting, creative, special, memorable, etc... Stay tuned."
-Back up from your work. Zoom out and look at it as a whole. Check how it reads frequently.
-Same with flipping your canvas. Flip it all the time. Have that shit as a keyboard shortcut.
-Before you start, you should decide how you want people to feel while looking at your piece. Not just the subject. "I'm going to draw a crocodile in a swamp" is probably not going to be very interesting to most people, no one will remember that...
-Offer something that photography doesn't.
-Once you have the fundamentals (anatomy, color, light) study composition and narrative illustration to step it up to the next level.
-Listen to music that fits what you're working on. Either thematically or emotionally.
-If you have art block you're probably overthinking it. Who cares, it's just a drawing mate... If you're really stuck it could mean you don't really wanna draw anything specific. Go get inspired or just make a decision.
-Just because it's 2D doesn't mean you should be thinking in 2D.

Q: Are commissions opened?
A: They are. I'm currently working on a price sheet. I want it to be fair for everyone so I'm taking my time.
Q: Do you have other creative hobbies?
A: I really enjoy video editing, but rarely get the opportunity to do so.

A: I like Caravaggio, Baglione, Rembrandt, de La Tour... (I'm a big fan of Chiaroscuro theory).

A: I don't have a preference for gay porn, I'm in-part catering to my audience.

A: I paint sometimes but it's tedious. I am very burned out from it because of work. I like a realistic 2D look more anyways.

Artistically, I'll draw anything that looks good / fits the scene. Variety is the spice of life.
Q: What did you do before furry art? Can I see your other work?
A: I've worked as an artist in different industries. Mostly under illustration studios and agencies. Some of these industries are very conservative or cater to minors. I would rather not cross the streams and burn those bridges.
Here's some in-person work I did pre-covid for a restaurant that is now closed. I did this type of work for about a year but this is the only one I hand painted instead of applying printed digital graphics. ONE - TWO - THREE
The biggest ones worked on were an IKEA and an 18-wheeler.
Q: Do you make a lot of money as an artist?
A: You certainly can. Like a lot of other professions, if you're good and you're either charismatic or smart you can make good money. There's a lot of financial potential in product design.
Q: Do you sell your stuff at cons?
A: I used to. I've never been to a furry con but I've been to pretty much every other type of con. If you're good at making fan art merch and keeping your fingers right on the pulse of what fandoms are popular that year, you can make serious bank. Nothing like making 10 grand in one weekend. I stopped because of COVID-19 and because I don't like anime / games / pop culture stuff nearly enough to justify it.
Q: What type of reaction are you trying to get out people from your work?
A: I don't expect people to nut from my art in most cases. My work is more like foreplay. I want it to be more inspirational and perhaps stick in people's minds. I try to make my work erotic, dramatic, dynamic, cinematic, and have a narrative to it. I'd rather the body of my work be more emotionally titillating than purely pornographic.
Q: Why do you make such labor-intensive shitposts?
A: Although I'm very passionate about art and take the craft seriously, I don't take myself very seriously.
FAQ 3 (Valentine GRAND FINALE) + Face Recovery Update

I'm sorry I can't openly talk about the details of my injury as there's an ongoing investigation. The night I was assaulted I was trying to locate the cat cafe in my neighborhood. One of the cats has cancer and I wanted to help them raise funds for his treatment.
SO, to get some closure on this event, I'll finally be going there for their Valentine's day event! And for my first solid food in weeks, I'm going to destroy the most luscious and expensive steak I can get my paws on.
There's still swelling in the lower half of my face and neck. It's red and chonky. I have an even bigger crossbite now and my jaw pops when I open it! Hurray!
My face is healing, but honestly, my brain isn't doing so well... Not to brag BUT I used to be kinda smart. Now I feel like a smart person that's permanently inebriated. Before the head injury, I was working part-time on an integrated Master's of science. I was thinking of doing a career change from art as was very burned out and felt cognitively unchallenged. Ever since the injury however, my ability to do arithmetic has significantly declined. I know I need more time to heal but I'm worried I'll never be the same. I can't even remember how to calculate nuclear decay...
I was eventually supposed to be stationed in British Columbia for my final environmental Master's project because there's high potential for both Canadian terrestrial and marine studies. I wrote a lot of papers on BC wildfires and forestry management, so I'm pretty heartbroken It's going to take me even longer to get there or that I won't get to go at all. I should really focus on therapy and take time off.
THE LAST (non-art related) FAQ. NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN SO ITS A LONG ONE. TMI WARNING.
Some of these are "topics of conversation" rather than FAQs. I skipped over a lot of questions... Some of you are sick, sick creatures.
Q: What do you like about TF?
A: TF makes me feel a very special type of funny, it's hard to explain. There are lots of different facets to it that I like. I think I especially like the idea of being experimented on or something and going through a very dramatic body change.
I want to be fucking torn apart and put back together. I also like the idea of going beast mode and never speaking to anyone ever again.
Q: Why do you like doms / rough sex / non-con?
A: I thought about this for a while since so many dudes ask and are baffled by it (understandable). I think came to a reasonable explanation. The reason I like it is because I sometimes have violent urges. They are a primal part of me, but I obviously choose and want to be a non-violent person. So in my most intimate state (sex), I want to act out those urges in some way with someone I desire and am vulnerable with. I tend to want that violence to be directed toward me rather than outwards. Most likely because of my sexuality and the fact that I like some pain. I want someone I'm so comfortable with and trust so completely that I let him hurt me. I want him to take out his sexual aggression on me. I want both of us to be free to revel in our deep, dark, borderline horrific desires. It's quite the opposite of non-con truthfully. It's a fun way to express sorrow, anger, etc... I don't need it to that intensity in my life though. Just feeling overpowered does plenty enough. There's something very intimate about being at someone's mercy.
Q: Is sex an act of love for you?
A: Yes and no. I don't need to be "in love" to have sex with someone but I need to have some affection for them. What I need is attachment and safety. That's why I'll probably never fuck a stranger but could have a friend with benefits and even a hookup with the right friend. ("Won't you catch feelings though?"). It's possible, but so what? I'm not a teenager or a nutjob. I'm responsible for my own emotions and I can regulate them. Being rejected doesn't have to ruin a friendship or even complicate it. The opposite is true as well. Being told "I love you" doesn't scare me away, regardless of how I feel back.
Q: Can you describe what sex is like for you?
A: Imagine someone made you the best meal you've ever had but they're force-feeding it to you.

A: I finna TF IRL... Plus I find humans fuckable already.

A: Too much of a cultural fixation on it. Getting married probably shouldn't be your goal in life. Also, fuck the wedding industry. Why would you spend 15k on one event and 8k on a metal loop with shiny rocks on it? Why do women attribute their worth and love to a piece of jewelry? I'd rather receive a fucking bigmac than an expensive wedding ring. Buy something actually useful instead that you can both use, like a bigass TV or a month-long vacation.
Q: What's the craziest thing you've done for love?
A: Move to another country I guess. I don't see it as a big deal personally since I'm used to it.

A: I've been told I don't give the standard ~girlfriend experience~.
I would describe myself as supportive, caring, and non-controlling. Not sure why people feel the need to mold their lives and personhood around their relationships so much. If you really love someone why are you trying to cage them? I think I give the experience of a very close friend + skinship. I'm not trying to become your third parent or take up all your free time like an attention vampire. My relationships are important to me, but they're not the center of my life.
Q: What are you afraid of when it comes to love stuff?
A: Being cheated on IF WE AGREED we would be exclusive. It's not even an ego thing, it's a trust thing. It would be a betrayal and ruin the friendship. If you're going to fuck others then just tell me first coward. I'm afraid of STDs.

A: I understand the question, but I really dislike "dating". Going on a date with a stranger is like taking an ice bath to me. It's uncomfortable, it's cold, and I wanna gtfo of there.

A: The people I've dated have always had a pre-written narrative about how our relationship and our lives should be that just didn't gel with me. I'm theoretically fine with being in one but I don't want to be forced to spend two hours on the phone every single night catching up. I'm not making myself available online 24/7 either. It's weird not getting enough time for yourself when you're not even actually together.

A: I'm not one to be analytical and strategic about it. The best way to get what you want is by "deserving" it. The world doesn't care about what you want, it only cares about what you have to offer. If you can become a person that can give people their needs and desires, then you become valuable. AKA: Stop chasing, start attracting.
Q: What's more important to you? Chemistry or compatibility?
A: Chemistry for sex, compatibility for relationship. Both and it's golden.

A: Nice weeb question. I'm a Deredere but I have Tsundere tendencies. I like lightly bullying my friends, that's how we show a lot of our affection.

A: I'm big on "chosen family". I'm missing the companionship I once had since all my close friends are leaving my area. I had already been craving the return of that aspect of life for years since I keep moving around. I hate to admit that I'm lonely, but they really were my family. We used to sleep in a literal hamster pile during road trips for christ's sake! As for children, no.

A: I've dated all kinds. I like individuals. But I guess I like what I would call "macs-nerd". Like heavy-metal dudes, or guys who are really into fantasy football. It's hot and endearing.

A: The main one is Pitfall the Mayan Adventure.
Pitfall TMA is my favorite game of all time. My parents were very strict when I was little and I wasn't allowed non-educational video games EXCEPT Pitfall TMA (PC - 1994). I'm not sure what their logic was, but because it was the only real game I owned until I was 11 I was extremely molded by it. I also REALLY identified with the main character.
One of the hardest boss in the game is a jaguar that TFs into a big anthro jaguar warrior man. There's a really cool animation where he dazes you and slices you to actual pieces in one fell swoop. I guess it explains my fascination with TF, big cats, and my desire to be torn apart.
Q: Got any furry crushes?
A: I had the deepest crush on this anthro crocodile from this French kid's cartoon when I was very young. It was so INTENSE and made me feel so many feelings that I cut myself off from the show in order to preserve my sanity as a child. I was also fascinated with the impeccably animated head rotation of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. I thought it was because I was really into art already, but let's be honest... It might have also been something else...
Q: Who's the streamer that turned you into a furry?

A: I'm the eldest child in my family so I like to protect and take care of my friends. I'm the responsible one in the group. I'm very supportive, love to help out, and hype when my friends start a project or their own business. I'm not "the face" of my friend group but I'm the main pillar.

A: Big surprise! I'm passionate about visual art. It really is part of who I am. I love to think about principles of design, visual composition, and narrative illustration. I like to pull techniques from other disciplines and apply them to my work. I've also taught small classes and hosted panels before.

The last time I hung out with my buddies, we were chilling in the garage and started to try to physically hurt each other with pool noodles and inflatable animals. It got really stupid out of hand. I also got fully yeeted into the snow. It's simple but I guess I'm easily amused.

A: I generally have a positive attitude, I enjoy life. I'm quietly confident, I think I'm capable and I believe in my abilities.

A: I'm chill so I got along with most groups but I wouldn't say I was popular. I was raised by a strict and snooty French woman so I was never in the know about the hottest fads and latest obsessions. This somewhat carried into adulthood. I don't care about social media very much. I barely watch youtube. I was popular in college because I was top of the class and always in a good mood.
Q: How did you come up with your sona?
A: Process of elimination I guess. I thought I was going to pick something aquatic since I would live in water if I could and I love seafood, but nothing felt right. Then I saw a Caracal somewhere and thought "yep, there it is...". I'm kind of surprised. I don't even love them in particular. It's the one thing that doesn't feel wrong.
Q: If you could have one body part from your sona, what would you pick?
A: As a furry, I'd love a tail because, well... I don't have one? After that the feet, then the hands.

A: I enjoy nice and finer things but in a minimalistic way. I live alone and I hate it, I want good housemates. I travel too much to have pets unless my roomba counts.

A: I had no concept of religion until I was 10+ years old, so no. Take a WILD fucking guess at which way the artist/scientist leans politically.

A: No. I'm an open person and I was already a "weirdo". I just didn't know. It was inaccessible data in my brain. In my defense, the vast majority of furry art and fursuits aren't appealing to me. Took me a while to be exposed to what I like. Can't wait to contribute more to it.

A: I'm a diver so I'm a great swimmer and I can hold my breath for a long time. I can bake and cook decent too.

A: I was watching a stream hosted by other furries and used my new high-quality headphones for the first time.
