That's that!
General | Posted 16 years agoSolved a bit of a power crisis on a small colony in 5190.
I just reversed the polarity of the neutron flow, crossed the channels, straightened out the pattern buffers, converted to a low power receiver transmitter with a positive feedback, and then added a little extra mmph!
Simple really!

Off we go
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, problem solved down here. Time to get moving again. (No pun intended.)
Oh! Also fixed the mics for some live podcast thing before I left.
Had a few people seem to recognize me, probably part of that LINDA lot.

General | Posted 17 years agoAh... huh.
Seems to be more of those people in funny costumes running around down here.
Everywhere I go these days, I tell you.

Love and Cookies
General | Posted 17 years agoAh, Valentines Day. Some love it, others hate it, and on a few planets they mark the celebration of their wartime victories on it.
Thing is, today isn't just about celebrating the person you're snogging, today is about all types of love.
Love for the family, love for your friends, even love for that neighbor down the street. You know, the one that always bakes those little cookies and gives them to the people in the houses around her, and they got those HUUUUUGE chocolate chips in them that you swear had to come from Mars they're so big (They didn't, trust me), but you always seem to run out of milk before you have a chance to eat them, so you have to put off consumption until you make a trip down to the store and get a fresh jug, or bag if you're in the north of some countries.
Now, I'm not harping on bag milk, it serves a meaningful purpose. I just always thought it was a bit weird drinking milk from a bag, and...
Sorry, getting off topic, aren't I?
ANYWAYS! Today is a celebration about ALL types of love. So go out there, find your mate, chum, or that cookie making neighbor, and wish them a good day.

Texas
General | Posted 17 years agoHellooooo, what have we here?
Seem to be picking up some weird energy emissions coming from the Dallas area. Hmmm, looks like it matches up with some xenotech that really shouldn't be on earth for, oooh, another few hundred years or so.
Think I better check this out.

Shake shake shake?
General | Posted 17 years agoI've got a hankerin'....
FOR A MILKSHAKE!
Right then! Who can give me a suggestion for a place to get a good milkshake in the year 2009?
I've already been the Homagerin system, but they changed their recipes sometime in the past, oh... 450 years.

Yuletide
General | Posted 17 years agoAh, Christmas!
The time of year where everyone comes together for peace, love, and togetherness.
You humans are brilliant like that, you really are. Won't see the Daleks or Cybermen taking time off to enjoy the holidays. Nope.
Then again, some of you out there really need a visit from the ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. (Well, I say ghosts, but they're really Zebulon Spacial Projections with integrated transmats tech.)
Stop getting all uppity anytime someone says "Merry Christmas," "Happy Holidays," "Happy Hanukkah," or any other variation there of. Except Fetivus. That one's just plain silly.
Wish whatever one you celebrate right back, and enjoy the season. be with your loved ones, friends and family alike.
It is a season of good will toward all. Now stop mucking it up because someone doesn't celebrate the exact same thing as you.
As for me? I'm hoping for a rather relaxing Christmas, personally.

Musical Interlude
General | Posted 17 years agoI cross the void beyond the mind
The empty space that circles time
I see where others stumble blind
To seek a truth they never find
Eternal wisdom is my guide
I am the Doctor.
Through cosmic waste the Tardis flys
To taste the secret sauce of life
A presence science can't deny
Exists within outside behind
The latitude of the human mind
I am the Doctor.
My voyage disects the course of time
Who knows you say
But are you right
Who such indeed to find the light
That glows so darkly in the night
Toward that point I guide my flight.
As fingers move to end mankind
Metallic teeth begin to grind
With sword of truth I turn to fight
The satanic powers of the night
Is your faith before your mind
No man, Am I the Doctor?
The empty space that circles time
I see where others stumble blind
To seek a truth they never find
Eternal wisdom is my guide
I am the Doctor.

General | Posted 17 years agoLooks like there's one of those big internet people gatherings this weekend in Wheeling.
......
Actually, that explains the high levels of Chronafanafunka particles.
Probably stick around a bit. These things tend to have pretty good little shops in then. Love a good shop!

Back in the USA
General | Posted 17 years agoIn a minute or two, the TARDIS will be landing in Wheeling, IL.
There's a high level of Chronafanafunka particles being detected and if not taken care of, well... hole in the fabric of reality forms. Not really a good thing.

Cat in a Hat
General | Posted 17 years agoJust had a quick stop over on New Earth for a bite to eat. Mmm, Macra on a stick.
Don't worry! Just a name, not really a Macra on a stick.
...Not sure where you'd find a stick big enough to PUT a Macra on, really. Well, unless you went to the Jack Dusty system.
Did you know that a man named Jack Dusty, can be a Jack Dusty on a ship called "The Jack Dusty", on the planet Jack Dusty, in the Jack Dusty system? That's a lot of Dusty!
Where was I? OH! Right, bite to eat.
Stopped in to check up on a few folks while I was there.
Ol' Brannigan and Valerie are doing fine. The kittens are growing like trees! Well, without the bark and branches, of course.
And Novice Hame. Ah, good ol' reformed Novice Hame. She's doing well for herself. Still wearing the silly hat though.

General | Posted 17 years agoNothing like spending All Hallows Eve at a Scream park, exchanging Knock Knock jokes with a Zombie Pirate.
He DID try to take my shoes, but no zombie can handle the Chuck Taylors of Rassilon.
So how'd all of you blokes spend your Halloween?

General | Posted 17 years agoPoll? What Poll?
General | Posted 17 years agoSeems to be some sort of poll thingie going on over here.
Not really sure what it is about, but seems to be related to the 2008 MFF convention.
Just killing time as I travel across a couple hundred thousand years. Got a nice little planet over in the Jack Dusty Nebula I wanna swing by and pick up a new pair of shoes. Seems to have worn a hole in my old pair.

Atlanta
General | Posted 17 years agoDid you know that Atlanta is a central hub for time flux crossover particles?
Strange things seem to happen every year there around "Labor Day" weekend in the US.
Something about convention gatherings and the particles tends to draw TARDISes from all across time/space there.

General | Posted 17 years agoOne should always enjoy things in the time you have.
'Cause in the blink of an eye... it'll all be gone.
But, best not to dwell right? Places to go, things to see, adventure just outside the door.
Life's brilliant like that.

General | Posted 17 years agoIf anyone heard a loud explosion Saturday night around 1AM in the Pittsburgh area this past weekend...
Sorry about that, was taking care of a minor incident involving a race known as the "Slugorians."
They're not very fond of salt.
