I'm typing this with one hand so bear with me on this one.

Without going too much into detail, I'll just get to the point. My wrist is messed up for the time being, nothing too serious, and it IS my left wrist, so my good hand is thankfully fine,

With that all being said this past week... heck this past month has been...kinda nightmarish, things have been really busy and I'm piled with more and more difficulties, finances in particular have been troubling.

I think I need some time to cool down. So for the time being BADVIBE is being put on hold so I can at least have that stresser dealt with for a bit, when my wrist gets better I wanna try making a whole bunch of new pages before going back to uploads.

Commissions however won't be put on hold. I need the money after all, but bear with the slowness of my output for the next little bit, only having one hand to draw is not easy (let alone typing, my hand is starting to cramp already lol)

Either way I'm in good spirits, thanks for your patience. Love you all!

After quite a bit of planning, working, and business, the website for my webcomic project BADVIBE is live! AND the first page is up!!

Needless to say I'm pretty excited! BADVIBE has been something I've been working on for a long time and to finally have something to show for it makes me super happy

It's still under construction so I'm figuring things out for it aesthetically and functionally, hopefully you won't mind much!


For those of you that are new, BADVIBE is a webcomic focusing on the life and times of Maxwell Smith, a young man going to school for his doctorate in robotics, but things take a turn for the worst when his long estranged father reappears in his life rather unexpectedly and "explosively", but hey.. what else do you expect of a super villain?
With his strained relationship with his father, the difficulties of school and work, and his love life. Max has a lot to juggle..

BADVIBE is a story of emotions, family, romance, laughter, and action, one that I hope will be as fun for you to read as it is for me to make.

Alright so to get this out of the way, no I'm not out of hiatus yet, I don't feel ready *of course I'm still taking commissions wink wink nudge nudge*, however I thought I would share this message with you to give you some ideas on why I'm on hiatus and how much things are gonna be changing content wise on here.

Truth be told there's two major reasons why I went on hiatus, one was a stagnation in art quality, I've grown frustrated with the quality of work I've been putting out at want it to be better moving forward so I've been spending a lot of time practicing.

The other reason is somehow both more personal, and yet highly relevant to the "Brand" of my artwork as a whole. and that the works involving my more *for lack of a better term* fetishy tastes.

No I haven't suddenly decided that this sort of art is bad or whatever and people shouldn't draw it, hey whatever live and let live right, but it's not what I want to really be associated, I don't want people to think of "Drjoshfox" as the guy who draws a lot of wedgie and underwear art. And of course I've been drawing much less of this content as of late outside of commissions *which BTW I'm still find to draw this sort of things for comms, I can't really afford to be picky and there's good money in it*, but still, it's easily the most consumed type of work I post online, even when it's something with far less effort, for instance I posted this pic:https://www.deviantart.com/drjoshfo.....iews-727741210 literally titled "gotta get them views" and it managed to garner in about 27 favs and 243 views, for one of my pieces thats pretty good especially for a crappy doodle.
Meanwhile more detailed pics like https://www.deviantart.com/drjoshfo.....VIBE-748279623 this one only managed to get about 7 favorites and 47 views even though I put far more effort into it.

To say nothing of some unfortunate experiences I've had with people getting into contact with me, acting like these pieces are somehow invitations to be way too forward with me or like I somehow owe them intimate details about myself, like it's just a thing that happes in fetish communities or something. I never even considered myself part of the fetish community, but others sure did it seems, and sometimes it would make me really uncomfortable, now it isn't always the case, but there have been some instances where I've indeed basically been harassed by people asking to know very VERY personal details about myself and it's just kind of gotten to a breaking point.

It's a shadow I don't really want cast over my work anymore. and I'm sorry if that upsets or maybe even offends some of you, but c'est la vie. Things change as do people. This won't be the only thing changing either.


My sona fox and characters associated with him will be taking more of a back seat in favor of original one off ideas, as well as work involving my BADVIBE webcomic project. Gotta get people interested somehow right? Fox will be sticking around of course, as will Lilith and such but more as mascots as I originally meant for them to be before I went a bit overboard.

TLDR: No more personal straight up fetish art shared en masse, yes commissioning it is fine I like money, sorry if you're upset, look forward to my webcomic BADVIBE please.

Hey guys, I've decided that I'm gonna take a quick break from posting art.
You may have noticed that I've been uploading art almost everyday from most of the year. It's been fun but also draining, so I'm gonna take a bit of time to focus on other things and commissions, which will remain open cause well I need money and I still have outstanding commissions to work on :P

Hey all, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I'm closing commissions for a little bit. Now don't worry if you're waiting for one this doesnt mean I'm gonna stop working on it of course :P

I have a lot of comms I need to do, as well as school work, and I'm trying to sort out a more efficient system for taking commissions as well as hopefully getting around to making a new commission sheet.
