I think this isn't a problem exclusive to the furry community, obviously tolerance culture is very ingrained in the western world. But I do think it's worse here, with people forgetting it means you don't have to be fucking stupid. Tolerance is just saying you'll put up with something; you can tolerate a cold, you can tolerate a crying child and you can tolerate someone playing stupid music on their phone speakers in the bus. It can still piss you off and nobody should blame you for being frustrated with it, but because it's the furry community you're expected to be quiet about it and not complain. That kind of goes against how people reacted to my indifference about uniform fetishes, because they got all jumped up about a CERTAIN PERIODIC SOLDIERS UNIFORM. But that just goes to show you how much mental gymnastics furries are willing to go to convince themselves there's nothing wrong with people who literally enjoy feces.

Sooooooo, what's going on?

Well lately I've been feeling a bit anxious moneywise because tomorrow I'm picking up a new ceiling fan and light, and that alone is costing me a small fortune. I've gotta find a qualified electrician to sort out the wiring as well to change it back to a standard fitting and that'll be fun as well. *sigh*

But other than that nothing else is getting me too down, since getting that Nintendo switch I've been playing ACNH a heck of a lot, even posted a few pictures (in between taking cheap shots at socialists lmao). Nah in all seriousness I hope to be posting a lot more content that makes me happy as opposed to venting like I normally do there.

Oh, and I've also got a whole bunch of art that I've paid for coming down the pipelines. Just waiting for the various artists to do their thing, can't wait.

Hey those of you that are following me, I hope you've enjoyed the latest uploads to my gallery. So yeah anyway, I wanted to take a moment to talk about some of the latest developments in my life so I hope you'll forgive me while I bend your ears (well, mine are flexible anyway) because there's been a lot going on.

For those that don't already know the work I do puts me into contact with the public a real lot, that means there is a high chance I could bring COVID-19 into the house and not even know it. My mother is elderly and has type-2 diabetes, making her vulnerable and at high risk to the virus. About a month ago I made the very difficult decision to ask her to move out to live with my half-brother for a while until this all blows over, leaving me at home with my brother who looks up to me for moral support. There's no need to worry about me, I am perfectly fine and if in the highly unlikely event that I do contract the virus I will most likely recover like it was nothing. That doesn't mean I reject it as a threat, quite the contrary...

But times like these have a funny way of making you re-evaluate life, and how sacred and special it is. This whole thing has gone far enough to prove one thing to me, that time is the most valuable commodity we all have. Because when you run out of time - that's it.

That's why I've decided to stop procrastinating so damn much, stop playing video games and get on with some stories. I've very little doubt you've noticed the latest additions to my gallery, three of which involving my favourite beastly bunny Syrup. If you don't know who he is yet, that's partly my fault. I've been involved in almost a year of RP involving a very very special friend of mine. I'd like to give a macro-sized shoutout to luciousmelacana for giving me so much material to work with. Yes that guy kinda distracted me but now I'm all the more grateful he did, because now I fully understand how character development works to mold personalities. From clever, calculated and fun-loving mercs to disastrously giant goofballs who love to tease, I've got such a wide range of material to pull from.

Hey there, just posting this so i can get to push the last journal down some. I'm sorry it's been the first thing people seen people see when they come to my page for the first time for like - a month. But it's been on my mind and someone needed to say it.

Aaaaaanyhoo, about the things that are coming up soon. I've been wanting to write more on the projects I wanted to release for a while, but since landing a job earlier this year left me with less time but a lot more money I've had my priorities change around a bit. That's why you've been seeing more art of my fursonas around. And man I tell you the artists I commission are all top notch at what they do. There should be more on the way soon.

By the way, I'm gonna be making a couple of vignette pieces for Syrup. Little slices of life for what it's like to be around either my main sona, a big bootied goat, or a gigantic muscley rabbit.

So last night I had made a twitter thread about this meme the furry community has with so-called “nazifurs”. It was a thread written in the dead of night by a weary and poorly soul who couldn’t get off to sleep because the coughing fits would always wake him up. So I took it as an opportunity to get something else off of my chest as well as the phlegm.

If you’re just here for the art of the goat and bunny and you don’t care for my meta-analysis of the communities involved in this little shit show, then don’t let this journal entry bother you in the slightest. But we do need to have a talk about this whole “nazifurs” business, because for the last five years, I’ve seen many people on here obsess and rave about a problem that isn’t even that big to begin with. And with the way they’re behaving it’s akin to putting out a chip pan fire with water – it makes the problem worse.

MUCH worse.

So where to begin? Let’s start by analyzing the kind of people I believe better defines what you furs are getting bothered about, only more accurately. I’m talking about the people who frequent 4chan, the reason I’m focusing on them is because I believe most negativity in the wider online community could be attributed to them. Where it is a place that has originated a lot of memes and hilarity, there’s nowhere else you’d be able to engage conversation while breaking as many social taboos (n-word this, LGBT-bash that, Nazi this, blackface that) as possible. It is a characteristic unique of 4chan; because there’s no consequence for what you say, there are theoretically no boundaries that can be pushed. That’s why a lot of the things that get put on there are illegal, offensive, and just outright allude to promised actions of violence on their own local communities.

But this isn’t all that gets on there. Behind the boards that get the most traction like /b/ or /pol/ or what have you, you have another subdomain called /r9k/. For those that aren’t aware, this is they would send personal anecdotes, small slices of life into what it is like to be them. Originally, it was a board with a unique script that would filter reposts of earlier content, so memetic content was discouraged. Without this veil of post-ironic humour the posters would then (in theory) develop it’s own subculture.

Why is this important?

Because it reveals the true nature of the people who post there, and the vast majority of them are nihilistic, withdrawn, socially awkward people who are unemployed, not in education and completely divorced from agency in and of themselves. All you have to do to come to the same conclusion is read some of the stuff they put on that board, then it’s pretty clear why they revel in the sort of humour that goes on in the other parts of the site.

It’s because they’re not invested in the societies they’re a part of. These are people who act like a nihilistic, self-absorbed cult.

And that pretty much explains a whole lot at once:
Why do they hate furry art when the stuff they like is objectively worse, or even illegal? It’s because they haven’t got the correct mental faculties to differentiate between subjective or objective value. If nothing in their life matters except what matters to them, then everything else that doesn’t fit within their purview will offend them.
Why do they post gore and n-words repeatedly and still think it’s funny in current year? It’s because they’re disconnected from the norms society dictates and they’re too far down the rabbit hole to care.

This is important to remember because at the start of this I was talking about “nazifurs”, and because I do not believe there are even that many Nazis in the world, let alone ones in this community. That’s why I keep putting that term in inverted commas, because none of what I said has anything to do with ethnonationalism or its philosophy. To them it’s just another ironic throwaway joke meant to offend others who read it.

I want to make the last point perfectly clear:

There are no Nazis in your community. Just a group of sad degenerates who have such a chip on their shoulder they can never be rid of it.

So now I’ve said that, I’ll now double down on what I’ve said on my twitter thread: this is how you ensure you minimize and mitigate the impact these people will have on you: Either talk to them or ignore them.

If you’re acquainted with one of someone you suspect is posting on that hellhole of a forum, and they’re acting in the way you might associate with a “Nazifur” then why don’t you try talking to them? Maybe convince them there’s a whole world outside for them to take advantage of and they would be far better off by pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and doing something. Don’t believe me? I used to be one of those people and now I have a full-time job. It’s not the most glamorous thing I could be doing, but it’s something! And I’m happy with it! I'm now at peace with the kind of person I am, I don't have to pretend it's degeneracy when my peers would engage in far more degenerate endeavors. My life is so much better now I'm not listening to them and I'm being honest.

If you don’t want to do that, I suggest you just ignore them. That’s not the best thing to do, but it is a way better option than acting hysterical on your timelines, your journals, your walls and your whatever. Because every time you do that, you are encouraging the people who follow you to react the same way. Furthermore, it gives the person you’re doing it do a shot of dopamine, and the people they decided to call friends a lot of satisfaction.

Is that vicious cycle something you want to keep contributing to? Don’t you think it’s time we drew a line in the sand and said “okay, this is getting both of us nowhere.”

And before you ask: no, I'm not a nazi or a racist. I've never believed ethnonationalism is a good system, I don't believe in a superior race, I don't think my country (the UK) should be ethnically cleansed to preserve the future of our indigenous people. These are not my virtues. If you’re going to post something to accuse me of something like this, then just go away. You’re not the person I want to entertain. I want to talk to people who have their eyes connected to their brains, who can read more than ten words without jumping to a conclusion of what they think someone believes before they’ve even finished explaining. In fact, I will just censor your ignorant comments to prevent you from lying about me until the only option you have is to just block me. Whine about me on facebook or twitter or go WAH WAH WAH to your admins because you’re a child in the body of an adult and you’ve not been listening to a word I’ve said.

Do the right thing here guys, it’s not even that hard and it requires even less effort.

And we can all just go back to enjoy our fucking porn.

I've been doing a lot of procrastinating lately and during my very lengthy rp sessions, one thing I've come to notice is that you can always make a macro themed encounter interesting. Even if it's simple and not so explicitly nuanced or... *blushes*... Lewd. >w<

But yes, I've come up with several themes and kinks I want to explore, and that means I wanna write again. Having said that I do want to get some art done of my three buns. (Yes, I'm lazy in species selection. No apologies) So I'm gonna soon get back in the swing of writing, watch this space!

I wished I would never have to make a journal like this; especially since it concerns someone that not only I've considered a loyal friend for over ten years, but the same person that helped me come out as a fur.

  pixik was his name, you most likely know him for his sfm work under a pseudonym he used for a while: fruitymilk. This morning, I've received a message from a few of his other friends that he had taken his own life. I don't know when, how or even why he did it, but the only thing that is certain is that he's no longer with us. Not one person he'd been in contact with, not even his ex (who he was on great terms with) ever noticed any change in behavior.

I've known him for way longer than that when we played on a small darkrp community server. We've really hit it off from there, and we'd play all sorts of video games together. Sometimes it went as far into the small hours of the next morning, even though we had stuff to do the next day. He always had that personality that would brighten anyone up, he would come out with the funniest things I've ever heard.

In 2015 I decided I needed to get away for a few weeks, and I went to where he lived in a small town called Ruabon, just outside Wrexham in Wales. It was the first time either of us met someone from the internet, so it was a brilliant first experience. Later that year he came over to spend a couple weeks at my place to see everything that was here in Ipswich. When I left my phone unlocked to go to the bathroom and left it on an image on here, that's when he found out I loved furry art as well.

He would be the person I'd talk to about this for the next few years, and he always encouraged me to not hold whatever I have to my chest and just go it and share it, and soon I did. All I had to go on was the name I always used On-line, and a general idea that he'd be a rabbit. I asked his ex-girlfriend to draw a concept and lo and behold, Warren was born...

In the years that followed we'd go on a few more holidays, this time renting a beautiful cabin out in the woods to stay for a fortnight. Staying there with him will always be the among the favorite memories I have of him. Next year I was going to ask him to come down again so he could see all the new additions to the town... And now I'll never get that chance...

You're probably expecting me to browbeat Tumblr for banning adult art accounts, right? Well... Honestly.... No.

Tumblr is allowed to run itself in whatever way they seem fit, I mean: who in their right mind would say "I'm entitled to upload porn here" on a platform not specifically designed for it. Even then, if FA came around and did the same policy change then fine. It would lose the majority of its traffic but hey, it's their site. I'm happy letting the tumblr being the 'safe' environment it wants to be, it's not like more than half of the site is hosting morally questionable content as it is.

*shrugs*

As many of the people I talk to already know, I've been lurking in the community for years quietly enjoying the art that gets made. Now that I've decided to go ham and fully embrace it I've come to learn a lot more about what I want to do. I don't think I'd have been so honest or true with myself if I hadn't. So in no particular order, here's what I've learned since embracing my fursona:

1) I actually love roleplay!
Casual and erotic! I don't think I'd have ever been open to this and I don't know what started it, but I'm having a ton of fun with it. Yes ERP can be fun, but the general back and forth of something clean to brighten up my day with furs reacting to objects like a laser pointer or a vacuum cleaner. Note: this isn't an invitation to ERP me, I do it with people I trust only

2) There is a place for writers in the community, and I'm damn good at it.
I know I haven't done a whole lot yet but I pride myself on the work I've done so far. I've got another macro story coming out that I've been working on for months now, but I'm constantly revising it either because I'm not happy with the conclusion or I feel I'm doing too much. It's partly the reason I prioritized other stories lately, to help me get my creativity going (and I know you're not complaining) and maybe put time aside for a friend.

3) I'm now strongly considering fursuiting in the future, where I wasn't before.
This is the biggest change in attitude I've noticed: how I never wanted anything to do with furries or fursuits before but now I'm like "OH HELL YEAH I'LL GET A SUIT!" It'll definitely be Warren, and he'd be wearing clothes so I know a plantigrade partial would work out a lot cheaper than a full digisuit. It's definitely a long term goal but the fact I like the idea now fascinates me.

4) I have to be stronger for someone else.
Throughout my life I've only considered looking out for myself, thinking I had to just worry about my own problems and let everyone else get on with their own. And lately, I've discovered that this isn't the kind of person I am at all. I made Warren the way I did to demonstrate how I see myself: loyal, compassionate, maybe a little rude and a bit boisterous, but will always make time for you regardless. I want people to find strength in me because I want them to have strength in themselves, and if I'm successful with at least one person then hey - it'd be worth it.

That last point is the core principle of who I am as a person, and only a very few people understand why I'm doing any of this at all. But the one thing I want you fluffs to take away from this is this: what's changed since the last time I checked? You never know, you might learn something about yourself.

So over the last month me and my brother decided to out ourselves as furs and started openly operating within the community, writing the first few stories you can see on my gallery. I've also been regularly contributing to the   UKFurs discord (almost every day now) and been helping out the furfolk there. The outpouring of love and support I've gotten from you guys here and on that discord has been phenomenal, and I can't thank you guys enough for accepting us with open arms, letting me meet some wonderful people and for giving me memories I will keep for the rest of my life. Yes I know I'm gushing, but I mean this.

The Red vs. Blue story we wrote as a gift for two VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE has and always will carry a particularly special memory for me. I read this story for them on that discord and by the time I read the final paragraph they both had to leave into a private call to cry happily. I had not only perfectly nailed their personalities and the way they wanted to be portrayed, I moved them to tears with a home truth about them - I will carry that memory for as long as I'm alive.

I'm posting this to give some kind of insight into what I'm working on behind the scenes; just to let you know in between these breaks in content, I'm not slacking off
(*is totally slacking off)

The thing is between writing I'm kinda sorta an adult and I do adult things, so spare time is sparse and sometimes I'd rather chill. Whether I decide to play overwatch and swear like a longshoreman or spend that time constructively and write is entirely up to my mood. And even when I'm in the mood to write my attention is spit between several projects at once. It's like a pool for ideas that I draw from, and my fickle mind focuses on it until I'm sated. Once I've finished proof reading and drafting I'll publish it, and even that takes me a while - the Club Incubus miniseries took me about two months to finally push through.

So here is a full list of all the stories I'm currently filling out:
Fallen Swords - A Mercenary's Tail - This is the main story I'm working on to set the characters I'm writing in stone and weave all the lore together. It's a biggie, probably gonna be in the realm of a full series of books by the time I'm finished writing it. It's already quite a read and I've only written two chapters. I'm giving this one a lot of attention.
Between Form & Function - The current story I'm working on, it's a macro/micro story with a twist. It will also debut two new characters that are separate from Warren and Flick, and they may or may not meet in the future.
Supersize Supersoldier Shenanigans - Warren gets big one day by a wayward magic experiment gone wrong, and decides to take full advantage of it with ridiculous consequences.
Exposing the Truth - Warren finds out that Flick is a hyper for the first time. Expect a lot of personality play and stuff.

There are more but none are really fleshed out as much, being brainless scribbles I have yet to decide whether I want to do anything with. So yah,

Ok so I've been working on that "oc asks that reveal more than you think" meme from before, only this time we're talking to Flick to get to know him more. His responses will be in Blue and I can't promise Warren will be nice enough to NOT interfere. Again, there are references to the canon in here that aren't explained yet,

“Do I look like a kid to you? Er - no, wait, don’t answer that!”

2. Can they take care of a plant? What about a pet? What about a child?
“Of course I can take care of plants - I manage a whole farm on my own with the help of Warren in his free time. Warren considers it cheating when I use my powers to make my work easier. As for taking care of a child? Ehh, I dunno… I get rather anxious around others as it is. I don’t think I’d handle bringing up a child.”

3. Ask them to describe their love interest.
“Oh, Warren? Let’s see… Warren has a heart of gold. He can be the most caring, selfless and interesting person to be around. He always comes through whenever you need him the most, and when things get tough he pushes back hard. He’s a shoulder to lean on when times are rough and he’ll always listen to what you have to say. Most times, he's an angel.”
*cough* “Every other time he’s a fucking psychopath and would rip your head off if you so much as mildly annoy him. Bit of a hypocrite, really - since it’s usually the other way around.”

4. Do they look good in red?
“Why yes, in fact they do. My rose bushes are what keep people visiting Peterley. They're not limited to red though, I can grow them with white, yellow, pink and blue pigments too. Blue’s quite hard but I’ve managed to isolate a particular genome that pollinating insects just go bananas for. Selective breeding and natural mutation can only go so far with making the flowers robust enough to survive outside so I had to get creative to keep them purely organic. The only way to do that is by forcing cross-pollination in a controlled environment so... *blah blah blah*... Cathode tubes and electrolysis were key to discovering...  *blah blah blah*... My initial assumption was... *blah blah blah*... Then as I isolated the one in particular I required... *blah blah blah*... Biodegraded plant matter... *blah blah blah*... Eventually, the mutations took effect and... *blah blah blah*...”
He misunderstood the question… Let’s just move on, shall we?

“I have heard a theory way back about how singing softly to plants make them grow bigger and juicier, so naturally I tried it out. It didn’t work but I’ve been doing that ever since because I enjoy it and I like to think that it makes the plants happy too. Warren did notice me doing that a few times, actually. I’m sure he laughed behind my back while I did but I don’t let that bother me…”

“...This is kind of personal, but I would like to go back to when I was a kid and relive the childhood I should have had.”

“I do read novels every so often and even though the romance in them is very sappy, I do enjoy reading about it most of the time.”

Mentioning his parents makes him extremely nervous. The one thing he was taught by his parents how to do was how to grow food on the farm and become self-sufficient. Let’s just leave it at that for now.

14. Would they agree with the term 'guilty pleasure'? Do they have any?
“I probably have one too many to list them all off. Pizza being the main one. I know it’s bad for me but OHHHHHoohohohhh I could go for some right now.”

15. What would they consider a waste of time— other than school or work?
“Me waiting way too long for a drink at the bar while people that were behind me are getting theirs first while I’m standing there with a dry throat. The less time I spend getting my drinks the better it would be for everyone.”

“Ohh, that’s a tough one. I suppose I kind of like having the setup I got right now and I like to keep it all the same, though Warren can make that all change in a heartbeat.”

“With the way the world is at the moment it’s important to step back and ask yourself if what you’re doing is affecting society at all. Being charitable to those less fortunate is a noble cause, but while those people may rely on any help they can get, individuals can only do so much. Life can appear broken and cold at first and you may believe people don’t care enough about the wider issues; Just send money to a telethon or post about it on social media without giving it much further thought than that. But someone -Warren- came along and shattered that misconception. That rabbit helped me when I needed someone the most, but he didn’t say or do anything I wanted to hear. He was forward, harsh and sometimes I felt he was downright offensive, but everything he said and did all came from the heart. Somehow, he knew the more he forced me to confront my demons and the more honest he was about it - the sooner I'd get a grip of my emotions and stand up for myself. I may not be alive today if it wasn't for his own brand of altruism - I owe my life to him! “Depends on how you look at it! I've dedicated my whole life so far studying the arcane arts. One time Warren made me do origami with telekinesis only, that knocked the wind out of my sail! I'm getting better at it though.”

“I'm usually opposed to violence, I would rather pursue a pacifist or maybe diplomatic route at first but that has its limits. I'll admit I did more than lose my temper at times and to say the consequences were dire would be an understatement.”

“I'm in a polyamorous relationship, so long as my BF is okay with it I can date other people. Besides, I like the idea of having ‘friends with benefits’ as Warren puts it.”

29. What recurring dreams do they have?
“I don't so much sleep as I do meditate and enter a separate plane of existence. I'm able to control every facet of that existence through focus. It's great practice but thanks to Warren I found more… interesting applications for this practice.”

“I’m not exactly sure: Being as booksmart as I am I still find it hard to gauge other people’s emotions, sometimes they’re far too subtle to notice.”

I've been lurking and watching the furry fandom for a long time, for much longer than FA had been around. I've had a couple accounts on here I used to just put faves and watches on because I didn't really feel comfortable with people from outside the fandom looking here and seeing the kind of stuff I'm into. But now I've started amateur pr0n writing and being open here with what I like I feel I've got nothing to lose now, it's content I enjoy making and I'm just ready to go whole hog. I notice I've got a few favorites on my submissions too, so I must be doing something right.

I'm gonna start putting faves and likes on the things I kept a bookmarked before. There'll be like a FLOOD of faves go through on my account, hope ya guys and gals don't mind that.

Thanks for faves are appreciated, but what would really help is looking at what I've written. Critiques and commentary are welcome (no matter how candid), so is shouting on my wall, that'd be nice.

Okay, I'll give this a try. I'm gonna put Warren's responses in Green. Feel free to steal this meme if you want, I'm doing it to get to know my character better. (by the way there are references to the canon in here that aren't explained yet, just don't worry and give it time. You'll learn about them soon if you're so inclined.)

Warren’s too grown up to go to sleep with toys, but does sometimes go to sleep with his baton. He tried to sleep with his handgun under his pillow but he forgot to put the safety on - that went about as well as you could imagine...

2. Can they take care of a plant? What about a pet? What about a child?
“I take care of my lil’ sheep brother, Ollie. Though he takes care of me when I hurt myself when the medic isn’t around. Better than a kick in the head!”

“Flick is my MAIN squeeze! I’m sure if I didn’t get hooked with him he’d have drunk the entire world supply of hard liquor or destroyed the universe or something. Anyway he was someone that was just misunderstood and needed someone to listen to him, kick him up the backside and motivate him to get to where he is now - honestly, I’m just glad to have been the one to do it for him.”

“I’ve never been shot so I wouldn’t know.”

He’s someone that does his homework about the people he’s around and doesn’t blindly trust (or distrust) anyone. The only exception is he completely trusts Flick and Ollie.

“I don’t really have the patience to fiddle around with complex puzzles when I’m in the middle of something. Besides, what’s complicated about blowing shit up if it’s in the way?”

“The badges I got in the Swords MC I’ve always kept as souvenirs - they’re a part of me I’m honestly proud of, especially this one: *flashes a pin with a sword with a one wing* ”This was before the whole infighting shindig went down, but that being broken inspired the new emblem and the new direction of the PMC I helped build up again.”

“Life comes at you fast and you gotta keep up, but if I could I’d go back to the days me and ‘Ol ran around in the forest.

“Books are dumb - I’m from the 21st Century: I read comics, I watch TV and movies and play video games! I’m a lazy consumerist whore and I’m that fucking shallow.”

“Fighting - fighting and being the best SOB at fighting. I followed in my dad’s footsteps to become big in The Swords. I just wished he told me what it was really like at the top before he passed.

“I enjoy watching wrestling - even though I know it’s fucking dumb and none of it would ever help me in a real fight. The promos are funny and I often find myself stealing some of their lines. It does help me shotcall though so it’s not a complete waste of time I guess.”

*makes a loud groan* “Security detail - it’s about as exciting as it sounds: Patrolling around in a fixed pattern and paying attention to catch just one thing that seems out of place. Hardly anything interesting happens when I’m doing that, it’s just tedious. Shit pay, too.”

“I eat vegetarian and for SOME ODD REASON Flick doesn’t like that and would just groan and order take out. Oh but he’ll eat vegetarian pizza! He’ll eat into my damn portions given half the chance.”

“I can’t imagine breaking up with Flick, the consequences of such a thing happening would be far too dire to comprehend.”

Stability - his clothing and mannerisms during his normal life is stable as anything, but with his alter ego it’s anyone’s guess. When it comes to using weaponry he prefers the basics - the good ol’ baton and pistol combo. However, when he’s playing mind games with his enemy nothing could unnerve them more than him carrying some bizarre oddity of a weapon into battle.

“I’ll be honest with anyone who asks, and I won’t hold my punches back either. If I think they’re an ass I’m gonna say it to their face.”

“Depends on the situation. If I think people I care about are gonna get hurt then I’ll prioritise safety. But if I’m allowed to have my fun then to hell with it.”
