Hey there!

It's been a couple months since my last little status update, and two since my last story upload. I have a little bit to discuss, in case any watchers here don't follow my twitter.

I've been working on a short story titled "Gone Fishing". When I outlined this narrative, the idea of sticking it all into one upload didn't click with me, so I broke it off into two thematically-complementary parts. Part 1's editing phase is just about finished, so I look to see it up on Sunday, April 4th. Part 2's still being drafted, but I feel that this half of the story will be much easier to fill in. I'm looking at late April to early May for that upload.

In other news,  Osfer performed my story, "One Seat Empty", on his podcast last month! Hearing him interpreting my characters and exposing the story to a wider audience was quite exciting, to say the least. You can listen to it here.

Hey there!

On February 6th, I'll be uploading a single sequel story to Two Man Advantage that occurs several years in the future. The same characters are featured, though place names have been fictionalized to distance the world from real life and better homogenize it with my more recent stories. I intend it to both stand alone for new readers and serve as a companion to the old plot.

Hi, everyone!

I have a few important updates for this account, so I wanted to squish them all into one journal for convenience.

First of all, I'll be uploading a new short story on Saturday, November 28. This one will feature a pair of original characters in an exploration of a theme I've been pondering over recently. It's a tonal departure from last month's experimentally whimsical story, but I'm excited to show it off, given the thought I've put into it.

Next, I'd like to notify you that I've opened a tip jar in the form of a Ko-fi account, available here and also linked on my profile. While this won't change anything about my monthly upload structure, I'm offering it as an option in case you enjoy my work and would like to support me. With this said, I'm still looking for more ideas on how to improve this profile and reach out to those who enjoy the content. If you have any further ideas for what you'd like to see from me (i.e. commissions, request boxes, art collaborations, etc.), please let me know below.

Finally...it's my birthday on Sunday! This marks a year since I decided to upload the fruits of my writing hobby online rather than letting them toil in a folder bare of readers or critique. Since I started, I feel that I've been steadily improving at storytelling and craft, developing an ability that's helped me in many other areas of life. This has also led me to meet a host of wonderful fluffy snoot people, including my editors,  wellifimust and  psydrosis, along with any artist I've worked with or friend I've met in a stream. If you're a longtime watcher, or someone who just read a story or two, thank you for spending your time reading through writing that's often very personal to me!

Hey! If you watched me for Two Man Advantage, you may be pleased to learn that it isn't dead, and I've been finishing and editing its final ~10k words throughout this month. I originally wrote about 60% of Part 2 between December and January, but shelved it due to some writer's block. While I planned to pick it back up in March, the cancellation of sports weakened my resolve to push through and finish it.

When I returned to the story in early May, I realized that my style as a writer grew to the point where I wouldn't feel satisfied just concluding my draft without massively altering some of my description, dialogue, and plot decisions along the way. I also made a choice about structure, which meant splitting up the finale into two smaller parts, as I feel this flows better than a large story block like Part 1.

So how far along are these parts?

Part 2 has been proofread by  wellifimust, and I've been adding some final touches over the weekend while preparing a thumbnail. It'll be uploaded during this coming week.

Part 3, the finale, is fully written and partially edited; I intend to upload this work within a week of Part 2.

If the first part interested you back when I began furry writing as a hobby, I hope the second half of this narrative will be just as enjoyable.

I've been working on this one for a bit. Gonna try to get it out before the end of the weekend if I get a thumbnail in time.
