Ok so due to popular demand, I have created a twitter account. I'm not very active online so part of me was against this, but after attending Furpoc last week many people have asked me to join twitter.

It's Finally here!
Posted 10 years agoSo today officially ends my long stretch of being internet-less!
Its been just over a year without a solid computer and connection, but now I have a kickass gaming desktop that I received last night, along with internet that was installed today. I am so happy, now I don't feel like a caveman anymore.
Now if you need me Ill be off playing some Battlefield 4.
That is all ^^

...So this Thanksgiving thing...
Posted 12 years agoSome of you may know I'm not necessarily to close with my family, but the holidays are that one time of the year we set aside our differences and try to pretend that we get along. Sadly this year is not one of those years. As of a few hours ago my family has decided not to celebrate Thanksgiving and possibly Christmas this year. There isn't really any reason why we won't see each other for the holidays, its more of a "meh, let's not bother with it this year kind of thing".
Now, I'm not the one to be all excited about seeing my family in the first place, but come on! It's the holidays, we should at least make an effort to show that we care about each other. It's the time of year to forget and forgive; to look past all of our troubles and try to be a normal family for once. I guess I'll be spending this thanksgiving alone. Maybe I'll go to a soup kitchen at a local church for a free meal and at least try to socialize with others. The worst part is, my boss predicted this and even recommended a few good food banks to go to during the holidays when alone....... man do I hate when he's right!
I guess there is bright side though. On Friday a few close friends and I are getting together and discussing plans on buying a house sometime in the near future. It would be a change in pace and a getaway from the situation I'm in now.

So this place I call work...
Posted 12 years agoOk, so I work in the kitchen of a country club. That place has almost no management and I have so many stories from that place to write a book. But, the past few days have been mind-blowing to say the least. Sunday night a few of us decided to have a bonfire after work on club property and get really drunk. What happened was I told my closest friend and co-worker that I am a furry and dress as a raccoon in public. His response was "LOL Fur Fag!", but he was very chill about it and shared some of his personal thoughts with me so I didn't feel so... um ... weird! The next day at work was kind of hard to face him, but he was ok with it and nothing seemed to change between us. Last night, a co-worked had his hand crushed by the door to the dish machine and I had to drive him to the emergency room and stay with him almost all night while his hand was surgically put back together. Besides lots of blood loss, 14 stitches, and broken knuckles, he was ok. Tonight, I grilled for a bunch of golfers early in the morning and plated all the food for diner. After about 12 hours of work, I decided to stay and help close for the night because whats another two hours or so. The last thing done at night is to load up the pick-up truck with garbage and drive it down the road to the dumpsters. Well, tonight the truck decided to burst into flames instead of be driven, and I mean molten iron dripping in the parking lot and exploding fire balls with shrapnel flying everywhere kind of flames. Now I have to explain to my boss why the fire department had to be called to extinguish the $14K work truck.
That fucking place! Mind you, this all happened in just the past few days, if I had to tell every story that happened in the past five years, it would take five years to explain...

What Have You Done!?!
Posted 12 years agoOk so the past week has been a killer and I think I'm mentally and physically falling apart.
So let me explain, last friday a friend and me went to a competition shooting meet where we raced in a pistol and rifle shoot that took place in a wooded area. All fun and games right? Well, I ended up getting poison ivy all over the left side of my body, but I guess I can deal with that. Then, we went to town for a few drinks and my buddy accidentally slammed a truck door on my left knee. The next day I was feeling all itchy and limping, but I had to work a 17 hour shift so I didn't let it bother me. But, since I do a lot of heavy lifting at work, trying to compensate for a crippled knee didn't work out so well. I ended up pulling a muscle in my lower left shoulder since I could no longer lift with my knees.
I worked through the pain all week and my first day off in a month is today, so I spent it resting.
I feel so broken and overwhelmed. The only thing keeping me together is that Anthrocon is less than three weeks away and I can spend it with friends and not working!
Also, an update on my suit. I have all the fur pieces cut out for the head, I just have to sew and glue them together. Then shave everything and I should be done!
Ps... the only thing going through my head right now is this song by Gary Allan:

Ohhh...Bush Crickets
Posted 12 years agoAlright, I haven't been online in awhile and I've been feeling a little off the past few weeks.
I thought I'd do a quick update journal. So, after three months of being unemployed, I finally called my boss
today to see when I can begin working again. We open on Easter Sunday hosting a very large brunch thing, so after
three months of rest, everyone gets to return to work on the second busiest day of the year (second to mothers day).
It'll be about an 18 hour work day so I'm fairly excited. After that, the 60+ hour work weeks begin again...
I just got off spring break for school and classes have been fairly smooth so far. I'm busy working on a
management plan for a local state forest and it's a much larger task than I originally thought, luckily almost
every professor on campus is willing to help provide input to our group. We planned to use the entire state
budget for the forest to manage for only penguins and bush crickets, but that didn't fly ^^
Lastly, I don't know if its the weather or just apathy, but i've been feeling very sleepy lately. I have yet to be
able to stay awake for more than 12 hours a day in the last few weeks. But then again, once i get back to
work, my sleep schedule will be non-existent.
Well that's all I have to say, time to drink some wine, play some battlefield 3, then take a nap!
