Posted 11 years agoThis eagle has decided to make some money by way of doing commissions since the jobs are so scarce where I live. ^\/^.
All communication will be by notes on FA, on Skype and / or Facebook. If you want to do a commission with me please contact me in either formant. I will reply as soon as I can. The final picture and any other relevant artwork (digital files) will be sent by email, some other digital means or by mail based on preference. Payments will be done by way of Paypal or cashiers check like at a Walmart, grocery store or any other locations with cashiers check. I get to show the finished artwork on my FA gallery.
When providing the information on the picture, please provide a few examples. Please be clear and specific. I will make sure in ask questions to ensure I understand what is desired and get it right the first time. Try not to provide so much detail that it could fill a book. I do not mind researching something if I do not know it, but I will not do more than what would be considered reasonable.
When a commission is made, please be ready as can be to pay in a timely fashion. I can wait if need be, but within reason. I tend to finish a picture within a week or two, depending on the details of course.
(Examples shown tend between the middle and on toward the high end price range of what I would charge)
Pencil Line Art is $20 - $40 ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14947356/ ).
Ink Line Art is $50 - $75 ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14963338/ ).
Color Art is an additional $20 - $75 ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14973218/ ).
Flat coloring is the cheapest coloring and adds an addtional $20 to the ink or pencil line artwork.
Backgrounds are time consuming and add to the final cost in either pencil, ink and / or coloring.
Adding another character costs $10 or more depending on complexity.
Adult rated artwork costs more as well and tend to take the longest.
Artwork like bust shots, head shots and icons are less. Discusion on how much less depends on what is asked for.
If you want the physical copy of the artwork, then what ever the price of mailing the picture will be added. The same with digital artwork saved on a disc.
If you want the picture framed, then that will be added to the final price along with the price of mailing.
If you are not satisfied with the final look and ask me to fix or change a part of the picture I will add to the price an amount of price reasonable and comparable to the amount being changed. I am reasonable and may even fix a problem if it is minor enough. And, though I am a patient and kind person, I do have limits.
Good News and Bad News
Posted 12 years agoThe good news is that my grandmother is no longer dying. She made a miraculous recovery and is now back at her home and to her tough as nails self once more.
The bad news is that I was fired from my job. Someone falsely accused me of making a phone call to the vice president of human resources at the site where I was working as a security guard. The time it was made I was already home and in bed. Secondly, as part of Monday morning activities, I turned on the lights for the incoming first shift. Someone, presumingly the same that made the other accusation, laid claim that I had the light on all night long. To be clear, I was fired from the post and not the security company I work for. I take it as a true firing since I have a repuation of being the hardest working, most loyal and finest security guard in the entire southwest region of the United States in the company. To be let go over such trifle and so suddenly without investigation, due to the customer requesting such a thing, is a great dishonour to my person. As such, I am currently looking for employ elsewhere where doing that which is required, not to mention with professionalism, is looked upon with praise and not punishment.

Extreme Sadness
Posted 12 years agoI am in a rather sad state as of late. My dear grandmother is slowly passing away and will likely not make it over the weekend. While in the hospital her memory faded greatly to the point where she does not even remember her own children and other family. When the priest came in to give last rites, she did not know what to do. I am a very sad eagle now. -/\-.

My Poor Hard Drive
Posted 14 years agoMy computer's old hard drive, may it rest in peace. My old hard drive that held a large number of original and unfinished works of art, and other files like games and such, has fried and is gone forever. I now have a new hard drive and now must restart any art projects I had and must rescan an enormous number of old to new drawings. I am one sad eagle. T\/T.

Posted 15 years agoAfter thinking on the matter of commissions, I find that I currently have too many to keep track of and, honestly, no desire to do any that I either currently have worked on nor promised. College Finals and Graduation
Posted 15 years agoWith respects to my fellow furries and artists. I will be a bit busy for a while for college finals are coming up and I must focus most of my attention to studying for the finals so that I may endeavor to finish with passing grades so that I may become graduated at the university that I attend. I assure everyone that I will, to the best of my abilities, reply as much as I can to all comments, replies and questions. In addition, I assure that the lack of my person being active upon this site is in due course to ensure the proper allocation of my current studies. I should become active once more after becoming graduated from the university that is Augusta State University sometime in early to mid May due to the additional busyness of preparing for the graduation ceremonies.

1. What does your FurAffinity name mean and why?
Duphasdan means duphas or stupid Dan. A while back, at an arcade, I have been known as the worst fighting game player to visit often. I rarely won a match against the others who tended to do tournaments and such. They said I was stupid, or a duphas (this was about when the movie 'Scary Movie came out where one of the characters was named Doofy), to continue to play them. To be frank, I could care less if I won or not (authentic old school gamer here). One day I played against the finest player there. I figured since I was bound to lose I mind as well choose a character I knew little on. I choose Dan. I ended up miraculously pwning him with Dan. Everyone including myself were stunned. I actually made a lap around the game floor room yelling out 'Pink!' and 'Dufasdan!'. I said 'Pink' since Dan wore pink clothing. I later made an account on Deviantart and, a year later, on Furaffinity using the name Dufasdan (DA) and Duphasdan (FA) in memory of that moment. LOL. ^\/^.

One Year Anniversary
Posted 16 years agoI am happy this day for the reason that it is my one year anniversary on Furaffinity! *throws confetti*. I find that I had a good first year and hope to have many more. ^\/^.
I have the resolution of doing more art this year. I shall do so by trying to not to play so much video games. I got Fallout 3 for Christmas and I decided to take a break today when I realized I already put in over 100 hours on it. LOL. ^\/^.

Posted 16 years agoI would like to wish everyone an early Happy Saint Nicholas' Day. Saint Nicholas' Day is on the 6th of December with Saint Nicholas' Eve on the 5th of December.
Saint Nicholas, a.k.a. Santa Claus in the United States, was Bishop of Myra in the former Byzantine Empire (now Turkey). He is one of the most popular saints in Christianity and was known for his generosity. For those wishing to know more on Saint Nicholas, I provided helpful links.

Internal 500 Error
Posted 16 years agoHas anyone been having troubles as of late in uploading their artwork?
I have been trying the past few days in uploading the new artwork of mine and I am getting an 'Internal 500 Error' popping up thus dis-enabling me from uploading my artwork.
Is there a bit of trouble I am unaware of with the server for this site as of late that I am unaware of? LOL. ^\/^.
