Understatement: FA's been through some stuff...
Posted a year agoIt's hard to anticipate what's next for FA.
I think it remains still the biggest, most prominent, most central nexus of the online furry art community. No matter how many other newer platforms pop up, I think the vast majority of users will still come to this place. Without FA, our fandom would experience a huge fragmentation - with many viable sites available out there, but no other one the fandom has a consensus on for "next runner-up" in a theoretical absence of FA.
I don't know the site's current leadership. I don't know what they plan regarding the site's future. I certainly hope for the best, but I have this nagging feeling that we may be coming to the end soon, and then there'll be the new big issue of "where can we all agree to go now?"
I'm gonna take this opportunity to list all my links out here, and give everyone an idea of what other sites there could be by when that time comes. A few of my primary links are always in my profile, but it wouldn't hurt to have a full, comprehensive list here too.
https://linktr.ee/chikoguts ⏪ My Linktree, it serves as a handy little age-check nexus that leads to my Trello, my latest book release, and my SubStarAdult (mainly for Discord)
https://subscribestar.adult/chikoguts ⏪ My SubStarAdult, it doesn't offer much in terms of exclusives at the moment, but I'm lowkey thinking of things it could... The main purpose is a tip-jar and automated access to my Discord server.
https://trello.com/b/ze0KokRT ⏪ My Trello - this is currently my MAIN PLACE for commissions info, scheduling, and links to all my sites. If you wanted to skip reading the rest of this journal, you can just go to this Trello to find all the other links to social and gallery websites I'm gonna post below.
Here's the Socials you can find me at currently ⤵

There's a LOT of other places to go, which makes the predetermination of where we might in FA's closure all the more puzzling. If you wanted to cover your bases and be prepared with some accounts and uploads across all those different sites, it'd be some meticulous work posting to every single one - so I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Postybirb ( https://www.postybirb.com/ ) to post simultaneously to all of your different social and gallery site accounts with ease.
To wrap up: I hope all of this is just me being overcautious. There's a lot of history in this website and it's important to our fandom to have major, singular places to gather... But FA's been through a LOT lately - so much that I'm not necessarily sure what to expect now - and it's possible we may all become very website-agnostic in the near future. If that happens, I think we'd all do well to spread our roots across more sites, and Posty's a handy way to do so while you still continue to post here as usual.
Anyway, that's all for now. Be good, be safe.

I'm Back
Posted 2 years agoWhile a lot's happened, and a lot more continues to go on, I've decided I might as well be available and seen here again.
I still stand by what I said previously, that our community needs to uphold solidarity with everyone included in it and not posture, cater to, or cover-up for detrimental, abusive, and negligent actions by incidental leaders. I hope to remain someone who can and will talk about this when it arises, as well as retrospectively where our history serves as a crucial teacher.
But also, I'm an artist, and to survive I need to be engaged where the most prevalent exposure is available to me. It hasn't helped any causes or changed anything to have excluded FA from my output, and a great many people still frequent here despite everything that's happened before and everything that continues to happen.
Like Twitter, which I also haven't boycotted despite everything going on there, I've come to realize that disappearing from some climates is not how you stand for change in them. That only surrenders it to the way it already is. Silence is stagnation.
So, I'm here again. I'll be posting here in addition to everywhere else I also do - so please also see my Trello as a central hub for all my other sites, as well as commission details and statuses - https://trello.com/b/ze0KokRT/durgs-itinerary
Everyone, please remember how important it is that we are who and what we are.
Whether you identify as a furry, or a fetishist, or any sort of unique individual who enjoys the allowances to freedom we have...
We must always remember that we couldn't have any of this if we didn't have each other.
Anyway, enjoy some art!

Announcement
Posted 3 years agoFor legal reasons, I won't say anything pointed or defamatory in regards to the discourse with FA, affiliate sites, or any persons relating to those sites' administrations.
But I will say - as a community, we need to hear and heed victims when they come forward about abuse.
It bears acknowledging that there are thousands of artists that depend on widespread exposure which sites like FA provides for their livings as commission artists.
I do think that as a community of creators and consumers, we should support each other in doing better than FA.
I've spent the last few years spreading my work archives to various multiple other art sites to ensure widespread accessibility to the content I've made, and there's more sites still that I'll continue doing that for as well.
I'm moving off FA. Check my Trello for my alts.
I don't look down on artists that need to depend on their greatest exposure options for survival - we aren't the problem here.
But I do welcome and encourage us to come together and select new and more accountable online spaces, with accountable administrative figures.
The process of a community migrating platforms is gradual.
It won't happen overnight, but we can determine where we base our dependency on a platform for exposure and collectivity.
Expand and try multiple new plats, promote the ones we like, and gradually move on to them.
I understand this has been a topic that's come and gone repeatedly over the last decade.
People have done as I am now, saying "this is unacceptable, we should move", and then nothing much happens.
I get how and why that'll happen again, but I'm doing this anyway.
Don't let victims in our community go unheard, and don't turn a blind eye to or excuse those that enable or perpetuate harm.
Our community - the Furry community - holds an incredible and unique quality in the way that we're each-others' greatest fans, and not corporations'.
We furries are each-other's news, entertainment, inspirations.
Our community aesthetic and interpersonal dynamics, though at times having been pandered-to by corporations, have still never yet been utterly commandeered by corporatism like any other fandom out there.
We can't let ourselves fall to the trappings of unaccountable figures in control.
As funny or ironic as this next line might sound, the greatest strength of the furry community is in fact how "human" we've achieved allowing ourselves to continue to be.
Our community will fall apart if we don't heed the victims that speak up among us (yes I know I said the thing, just listen ඞ), and if we don't hold accountable or separate from our malefactors.
If we don't act when one of our members is in need, we'll lose our community.
Closing words and TLDR;
I'm moving away from FA and I'll try to make sure everyone can find my work most other places there are to look.
No shame if you can't do the same right now, survival comes first.
Let's please remember to heed and help victims in our community.

Heads up, thinkin' about REUPLOADS...
Posted 4 years agoSo, lately I've gotten really lazy about uploading my new stuff, plus reuploading older stuff that I never finished bringing back from the old, closed teelhavok account.
I figure it's getting to be as good a time as any for me to just set myself to uploading all the un-reposed old stuff, and unposted new stuff alike - not just on FA, but also my other galleries ('cause why not?)
I'm gonna meticulously go through all my folders again and try to reupload from the oldest to newest. I'm bound to have some duplicate overlapping with stuff I've already posted too, so at some point following this big re-upload I'm also gonna go back and clean-out the older dupes too.
Just letting everyone know about this in advance, in case the returning old stuff is... confusing to some, for whatever reason?
Also- trying to be conscientious about one time I did a content dump and actually got complaints about it flooding somebody's Submissions feed, (I mean... okay...!) I'm also gonna look into SCHEDULING each upload so that they're spaced, like... maybe a day apart for each one. Hopefully that'll make the content bulk more palatable for folks?
Kay, that's all for now!

Touching Base on "Part 2"!
Posted 4 years agoHi Everyone! I wanted to touch base real quick about Part 2 of shyguy9
and I's big collab, "Fastest Way to a Dragon's Heart".
tldr; no release date planned just yet, we're taking our time with it to make sure it's just right!
Long version: It's been a while now since we last shared any work on it during our multi-streams, so some of you might be wondering what's going on with the project lately. No worries!
We're still working behind the scenes, we're pretty far into it now, and overall we're really stoked to realize this thing. But ALSO, we're really taking our time with it, being thoughtful and not rushing perfection.
Thanks Everyone for your patience and enthusiasm! Keep following us for eventual updates on Part 2 and everything to follow, as well as all the other good creative stuff we get up to in the meantime!
(And just a reminder as always, the Part 1 of "The Fastest Way to a Dragon's Heart" is still available for $20 to download at https://www.e-junkie.com/i/z7nd?card )
(For more Sophie and Bee, please also consider picking up "Sophie and Belinda Vore Comic" by

End-Year Update 2019
Posted 6 years agoSome news; I'm gonna be taking a trip to Canada for all of December and it's really likely I won't be able to draw (at least to maximum digital ability) while I'm gone. Until then, I'm chugging full steam at the collab with
shyguy9 and hoping to have my portion of it ready before I'm out for a month.
I know I wasn't a frequent poster to begin with, but this means I'm proooobably out of commission until January, and by then I'll be able to get back to the few remaining items on my queue.
In the meantime, most of my activity til December is probably gonna be stream notices, so keep an eye out for those maybe. I MIIIIGHT still be able to doodle and post stuff while I'm gone, but honestly I'm probably gonna just be enjoying my time visiting
