I suppose I should write a new journal
Posted 10 years agoI barely remember how to work this site, but still, the last one was there for a year.
The Florida batpone thing? It happened. It is summer in Florida and I am in hell. A nocturnal lifestyle seems to be the necessary adaption for surviving the summers in Florida, but "night classes" are really more "evening classes." Also everything closes down too early. What the heck, I'm near UCF! Worst college town ever!
Been hanging with
kubo because she's awesome.
Did I mention that Florida is hot?

FLORIDAN BATPONE?!?!?!
Posted 11 years agoSorry guis I am just so not used to checking this site ~*AT ALL*~ and I found out I missed some pretty cool stuff
So uhm yeah I'll try to be better.
Yeah as for the title things have been going steadily south at my home since October...nobody in the house has a job, only my father has insurance because he's a veteran, and aside from my brother, we're all kind of sickly people. (Dusky comes by her runt-ish-ness pretty honestly!) My dad hasn't been able to find a job since he lost it in October, and after this winter we're seriously looking at moving to Florida in hopes of finding more jobs there as opposed to the little podunk college town we live in now.
And also because my mom, being Filipino, is basically cold blooded and thinks 70 degrees F is long sleeve weather, so obviously living in the Midwest is hard for her.
I was originally thinking of parting ways with them them because there's a lot of weather factors there that aggravate my migraine symptoms (high humidity, lots of storms) but since a) there's an art school I've had on my list of possibilities for a VERY LONG TIME, b) I have friends there that went to that college and stuuf (CONNECTIONS!!!), and c) Well I don't really know if the weather really will aggravate my migraines as much until I'm actually there, now will I?
---I'm gonna give it a shot.
But yeah while I'm still attending classes here the folks are dismantling the house and trying to repair everything so it's ready for market. While the last job opportunity my father could find hasn't called back and said NO yet, well, it's been weeks and they haven't said ANYTHING, so...yeah. Might as well get an idea of what the job market for programmers in Florida is like!
Speak of the devil I feel I migraine coming on. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRG
