Was attempting to try a simple easier than easy trivial mission to get used to the new controls and farm collectables when other players decided to join in. Didn't think they would cause too much trouble and wondered what could go wrong. First half, went smoothly. Extraction though...everything went wrong.

Someone called in an airstrike too close, causing me to drop my beacon which covered our extraction zone with mines, but in my defense I wasn't the only one who decided to mine our LZ. Good lord, extraction was a mess. We killed ourselves more than the bugs. I was lucky to make it out alive. RIP Mikelitoris...oh, I am definitely going to borrow that name in the future.

Still had alot of fun though. ^_^ I know what game I'll be wasting my free time on for the foreseeable future.

Well this is a horrid early birthday surprise, but I suspected it was coming for a while. Ever since Funimation and Crunchyroll merged I've been wondering which was gonna stick around. In all honesty I thought Funimation would have kept their name over Crunchyroll but I guess that didn't work out. I'm kinda glad I haven't renewed my subscriptions with either, I don't have much time to binge my showlist, that and because I had lots of DVDs and Blu Rays to still go through. Oddly enough most of those purchases usually included a digital code for my Funimation membership where I could watch them at any time free of charge. Not any more it seems CR isn't going to support my digital library and that is the main reason why I still decide to support physical media. I mean it happened to me before with certain Playstation game, and after Sony got rid of it's Discovery content and stuff started getting dropped from Netflix and Disney. Heck, I argued my case with my own family when the internet went down during a storm and they couldn't watch their stuff, but I could, because I still have a portable blu ray player and discs. ^_^

So are you pro physical media? Or are you also a slave to convience of digital? I hate to say I belong to both camps, though I am trying to get more physical stuff. In the meantime, lets enjoy some more old school fan service with a trio of Dirty Pair films. Funny enough, I've only seen Dirty Pair Flash. Another work related update. Finally got my license to arm up and went to the firearms manager for my job. Got issued a brand new Glock 17 and all the kit I'll need to go with it. A pair of 17 round mags, 34 9mm hollowpoints, holster, belt and one heavy as hell gun safe. Shame they couldn't let me use my Taurus but with it being a compact they deemed it too small. But at least I can keep it in my car for personal use since what they issued me is a federal issue one. Means I can't take it to the range, except when I requalify next year. Shame, I wanted to practice with it too.

And seems I am settling into work with no problem. Got my second check from them, they pay weekly, and while it is a bit less than what I got at my last job, the fact I'm getting extra money from the government for taking care of dad and I don't have any more car payments to deal with I can make do.

Pretty much 8 hours with 1 or 2 other officers in a control room. The interactions I had with other people are a UPS delivery and letting someone's Doordash order in. A few walking patrols inside the building and one outside where all I need to worry about is the rare drunk or the alligator in the retention pond. Very lax, very slow, very...boring.

I could probably put a good dent in my book collection and finally get around to watching some shows and movies that have been collecting dust. I don't think I can paint minis though but at least I can put together Gunpla kits. Once I get settled I am thinking of getting a subscription to WorldAnvil and Foundry VTT to help with my next DnD game. Maybe try writing stories again once I get my Bluetooth keyboard for my Kindle in.

I honestly don't know what I want to do next. But I am glad I have a chance to choose. Ya know what? Let's watch something that involves girls and guns. ^_^

Been a crazy week trying to get my training and paperwork done during a holiday and storm. But starting my second on site training day in the proper uniform, though still unarmed because we have to wait a week before my armed license clears and then I can get issued a Glock for the job.

Very less stressful compared to my last job and I am just grateful it is closer to home in case something happens to dad. Got my first paycheck with them too! ^_^

Eventually will have to invest in a body cam just in case but hopefully things won't get too crazy here. I knew I shouldn't have watched that FNAF movie the other day. ^_^;

After doing some research and being explained about AI creations by some helpful folks, I think I finally can finally differentiate what is an AI Creation and what is AI Assisted now. Especially after I was surprised to receive a second batch of AI pics of my Ranger character, but very rather naughty versions. It seems the artist that my hun hired has a hard time with more than one character and it showed in 3 pics in particular. One of which where I look more feline. Another where I look foxlike. And another where I get turned into a futanari. ^_^ We'll just say a spell got botched or a potion had a strange side effect. Ironically those are my favorites out of the bunch.

In any case, as much as I love my friends gift, and I won't turn down free stuff, I told him to not do any more of it. Still gonna keep them as my wallpaper for my Echo though. I make for a cute sideshow.

Well, after busting my ass and not to mention other certain body parts, I finally decided to quit my job at the airport. Well kinda...

Technically I have been on medical leave since before Thanksgiving after I collapsed on the checkpoint. Dunno how or why but I dropped like a sack of bricks. Guess the manager was wrong when he lectured me about being groggy for a while and told me "It's not a medical issue, it's your attitude" and told me to go back to work. Bet he's regretting telling me that now. He was so quick to get me my medical leave shortly after. Spent 3 days in the hospital and I was surprised at what the docs told me, and also not that surprised.

Stress, high blood pressure, depression, lack of sleep, etc. Pretty much my job was killing me. I was over heating because it is hot by those machines that check your luggage and it is a workout carrying overweight luggage from the machine to the search tables, especially in uniforms that don't breath well. I used to carry a small portable fan to cool myself off before I got heat stroke. That was until the manager told me to not use it because it look unprofessional. My feet hurt like hell for being on them all the time on hard floors so I got not only special shoes and expensive customized insoles to make it more comfortable to move in. Until the manager told me I couldn't wear them, had to wear the ones they sell us.

And add to the fact that for the last 17 years I have been taking care of my dad who fell over years ago and has been bed ridden since. He had a stroke over a year ago, also right before Thanksgiving, and now all he can do is move his right arm. I have been living with him and mom helping where I can both financially and physically. After getting stressed out and told off by my supervisor I explained the situation, and she had the gall to tell me to just drop him off in a nursing home. I don't trust those places, heck I don't even like staying at the hospital. I refuse to let my dad die in a place like that. I would rather make his last days as comfortable as I can.

Well after my incident and the doctors told me that I shouldn't continue to kill myself at a job that I don't like. It's too far from home if there was an emergency, I put 300 miles a week on my vehicle and have killed my last vehicle because of it. I only stayed on this long because I wanted to do my 20 years of Federal time. After 14 years, I thought I was able to leave. But the Manager told me that I have to buy 6 years of time that I spent in the service to get 20 years at the airport before I can be eligible for early retirement. Now why the fuck I have to pay them for time I already served they didn't explain to me. Oh, and any old uniforms I have will need to returned and any unaccounted for will be taken from my pay. 14 years worth of uniforms?! What the fuck?!

So as of now, I do not plan on ever returning to the airport. They expect me to come back in the middle of January once I used up most of my medical leave. Not gonna happen, though I will return what uniforms I do have and turn in my badge. Don't know if I should sell my remaining leave or use it up. The one positive thing from the ordeal at least is that my medical visit was covered by the insurance so I didn't have to pay for most of it. Just around 30 bucks for the therapy session and 40 bucks for my antidepressants. Since I haven't been at work and especially haven't had to deal with the holiday crowds I haven't felt depressed at all.

Oh, and finally after waiting for nearly a year to get on a list the VA have finally decided to pay my mom and I as in house caretakers for my dad. Wished we started years ago but dad's condition wasn't as bad so he couldn't get eligible. The stroke moved him to the front of the line, and it still took a year. We got a check for 15k to make up for the year it took and now mom and I get a budget where I have to make a time sheet for every week and mail it in. We get 1.5k a week split between the two of us. I give most of it to mom since she stays with dad the most and takes care of him more. But that money will only continue to flow as long as dad stays alive so I have no idea how long we'll keep getting it. On the plus side dad used some of the money and paid off the remainder that I owed for my car so that is one less bill I have to cover. He says it's the least he can do since I have been taking care of him for all these years.

Working at home is not too bad but I need to get a part time job that is close to home so I can fall back on it when dad eventually passes. At the moment I have been searching on Indeed and have turned in a resume to a nearby sushi restaurant that had a now hiring sign up. If I don't get a call soon I'll try some of my other choices or ask a relative for help.

So that is my life story for now. I can't believe I wasted a third of my life in the airport, and haven't even gone on an airplane for nearly 20. Frankly, I am glad I don't have to deal with passengers anymore. Or dealing with luggage that had the potential of literally blowing up in my face. I am looking forward to the next step in my life. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted and the world seems a bit brighter. Plus I got the chance to use this song and sent it to my supervisor. Hope that bitch rots in hell. And the Manager can fuck off to.

Damnit, just after I started Baldur's Gate 3 and still trying to finish off Super Robot Wars 30, 2 different SD Gundam games, and daily races in F-Zero 99, Disgaea 7 has finally come out!

After the disaster of Disgaea 6, which I only bought but haven't even started yet, this game seemed to have learned from the previous games mistakes. Still don't care for the 3d characters but at least they brought the catgirls back.

Hopefully I'll finish this games main story this time around. Out of the series I only beat the first two and replayed them multiple times for many different endings. Still trying to finish D2 on my PS3 though, dunno why that hasn't been re-released like the other games.

Beat 3, but didn't care much for it so didn't bother trying to try it again. Liked 4 and 5 equally but got distracted and never finished them. Don't even want to complain about 6. And I don't think I even finished all the other NIS games in my collection.

Edit: Seems they did away with the Team Attack animations since 6 and didn't bring them back for 7. A shame, but I guess I can get through battles faster without having to watch animations.

I kept telling myself I wasn't going to do it but I finally caved in to temptation. I got myself a brand new PS5. The only reasons being was that I had a Gamestop coupon I needed to use before October and that Sony had a special going on for anyone who bought one from 20th Sept to 20th Oct to get a free game digitally.

Got one, contemplated which game to get, got Rift Apart. Aside from Baldurs Gate 3, MK 1, and Jedi Survivor I don't think I'll be getting much else for it. Nearly all my ps4 games can be played on the 5 and almost all my digital games are upgraded or transferable to it.

I'm planning on getting extra memory for it but since room is limited I was wondering about installing a solid state drive in it? Honestly not sure what else to get to go with it.

Any suggestions? Any peripherals I should get or avoid? Any games I should get? I'm pretty much going to use it as a blu ray player for my room mostly.

Finally, after 34 years, Takeshi's Castle returns. ^_^ I am so glad I got and Amazon Prime subscription, because I am going to binge the hell out of this show.

Loved it when I saw it as MXC. Loved the original episodes that I could find. Didn't care for the British dub. Enjoyed the copycats that followed. I remember growing up watching American Gladiators and GUTS, but this show was definitely my favorite.

Now if they did a collab with Fall Guys then I would play that game.

Life somehow finds another way to shit in my cereal. After getting my tax return and spending most of it buying a new CPAP for myself, which took me a while to get used to but it seems to work out for me, I was contemplating using the extra leftover funds to get something for myself like a PS5. But I decided against it since I honestly had no need or urge to get one when my PS4 still worked fine. Heck, I'm still using my PS3 though mostly to watch blu rays with.

And I was thinking of taking Tex to the vet for a checkup and to get her claws trimmed and maybe adopt a second kitten to keep her company. Also I had a nagging feeling something bad was going to happen when I least expect it.

Sure enough my hunch was correct. Ran over a screw coming home from work and it punctured my left rear tire. Coworkers and mom said it can easily be patched up. Took it to the shop, can't be patched up and all my tires needed to be replaced. I suspected he was giving me crap to sell me more but pointed out how bald my tires were. Seems that Florida you have to replace your tires after 5 years. Mine have been on for six, not getting replaced since I bought them. And since I put 300 miles a week on them just going and coming from work I should have replaced them after 4. So I ended up having to get a new set of tires that put me back a thousand bucks.

Just another hurdle life throws at me that I'm gonna have to deal with.

It's all I can afford at the moment. Slipped and fell and sprained my ankle the other day. Not as bad as the kidney stone but damn it's hard to walk. Sadly since it was at home and not work I can't get workman's comp so out of my own pocket expenses for me, whee...

Wow, another year of the rabbit already? Hope this year works out for me in a positive way. Though between my dad's stroke and me helping mom take care of him I can only hope for the best. Since his incident in August I've been kept super busy dealing with him and an issue with my cat who has luckily survived a year with us. Too bad she's too fat for her own good and going on a diet has been frustrating her. I've been given three day weekends from work to tend to my dad and luckily we have had lots of help from family and the medical staff. I do feel sorry for my mom having to quit her job to stay at home to take care of him but luckily her and the cat have bonded well with each other and the two keep each other company. I've been tasked with handling the finances as well since dad can't handle things on his own now so I have to take care of things. Frustrating as it is to deal with him I'm still not going to put him up in a home.

The only bad news is that the local game store where I used to do my tabletop gaming got bought out and is now a comic book store. Not much of a loss for me since I barely had the chance to play before and little to no chances now that I'm caretaking. But I at least still have all those minis to paint now, whenever I have time. At least I can still play with my nephew when they visit.

Well we seemed to have lucked out from the worst of Ian, though other places didn't seem to fare better, we got off with a little flooding, some tree branches and only lost power for a few minutes.

Luckily got dad back home from the hospital before the worse of it. Even got his new hospital bed set up for him as well.

Now the only big deal we gotta deal with is all the bills. Luckily dad's insurance should cover all his stuff and mine covered half of my visit. Once I get paid tomorrow I should have more than enough to cover my bill.

I was worried my cat Tex would have been scared by the storm but she spent most of it looking outside the window watching things blow around.

Probably gonna be busy with work this weekend since all flights were canceled today so we'll have to make up for it the weekend.

I'm just glad this storm wasn't as bad as Irma, at least for my neck of the woods. Now I just gotta figure out how to deal with these leftover MRE meals. Maybe I'll use them on a camping trip or something.

Wish I could give more details but I gotta be quick. Dad is still in the hospital after undergoing surgery but he is doing okay and is just resting and recovering. I hope they keep him there for the time being until the Tropical Storm/Hurricane blows over. In the meantime my sisters and I are helping mon to try and deal with the bills such are the mortgage and power/essentials and such. So far my cell is the closest thing to a computer we have in our house and I'm trying to keep track of everything, which was very hard to do until we finally got the lawyers involved to finally give us power of attorney. You can't tell how frustrating it was to try and deal with these people to help my folks but they won't without my dad present, despite him being laid up after his coma.

Aside from that I have been going through the house and making sure we are prepped this time. We won't get caught flat footed like when Irma came. Spare battery packs, helpful since the batteries dad had stored burst and ruptured 15 years ago. Lots of bottled water and other drinks, foods we don't need to heat such as spam and teeny weenies and sardines and crackers. Gonna make sure our thermoses are filled with hot coffee so mom doesn't waste a whole fuel cube for a single freaking cup. I'm still frustrated at her for doing that. 12 individual MRE meals and heating elements and an emergency food bucket with 55 servings. Found out the hard way that tiny breakfast bags of cereal, despite being sealed, taste super nasty 2 years past their sell by date.

Gonna pack in the hose and yard chairs tomorrow, fill up the gallon tubs that held the cat litter with water to use just in case after I rinse them out.

And then sort out my available ammo and clean my guns for any pesky looters or gators that try to intrude. Hopefully my pair of .22 revolvers will be enough but I also have a .22 rifle and my trusted 9mm with multiple magazines. If I don't have to use them, then great. If I do, then they got what was coming.

Hope to ride this out without any issues. Hope dad will be okay. Hope things get better eventually. Till then folks, take care and stay safe.

Waiting in the emergency room again. Dad was doing okay for the most of the day especially when therapy visited. But around dinner he started to mumble and space out. Asking for the tv remote but not doing anything when we gave it to him. We thought he was having a other stroke.

Ambulance came and picked him up. Told us he had low blood sugar. Stressing out, waiting for siblings to come visit. Trying to calm mom down. I'm probably gonna have another kidney stone over this.
