Digital Dungeoning and Goblin Slayer Abridged
General | Posted 4 years agoWas trying to decide between getting Baldur's Gate bundle, Planescape Torment Icewind Dale bundle, or Neverwinter Nights for the Switch. Luckily I looked up reviews and I discovered the following.
Old games with lots of text on a tiny screen, lots of bugs, each costs $50 and apparently mobile versions are cheaper and better to play because the Switch doesn't allow for touch screen play. That's kinda weird.
But Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen was on sale for $15 and decided to get Divine Divinity: Original Sin 2 since I heard that had a dungeon maker built into it.
Still working on the backstory of Ron, got myself 2 female Tabaxi Rouge miniatures that I am trying to paint, and tomorrow I'll visit the game shop for a beginners and essential kit for DnD. Been watching alot of videos online and have heard of lots of fun adventures and many cringeworthy tales about weebs, edgelords, and the dreaded Karen. Makes me all the more to want to play online than irl.
In the meantime as I try to recall how Ron killed a goblin with a potato enjoy something that put a smile on my face during the lockdown.

Dunno why but I enjoy this version of GS over the original, though I do enjoy the original series as well.

General | Posted 4 years agoMy co worker who has been hyping me up with DnD has told me that due to many circumstances that are out of my control it will be very difficult to even join his adventures since he and his group, some from work as well, are half way into their 3rd campaign that they have spent at least 2 years in. O_o Hell I just started to watch Critical Role and was not expecting the first episode to be 3 1/2 hours long. I don't think I'll last a campaign.
I did not realize how time consuming this hobby is, and I have my hands full just looking up the manuals online and scratching the surface about the lore. I don't even know all the races and classes yet, they may have another edition out by the time I'm ready.
He is going to help ease me in with these short quests though. Little Noob Redshirt, probably gonna die horribly, but future characters will learn from the mistakes made. Or just keep resurrecting him, her, it. I wanted to make a Warforged but he says to start off as a normal human warrior to get the feel of it.
Once I figure out how to set up Discord and Roll20 I'll practice with my family if they are willing or just play against myself. I did that before when learning how to play Battletech before getting wiped out by my friend who I just introduced the game to. Maybe buy the Starter and Essential kit and play with the premades and see how long I can keep them alive before I make my own.
Did just get a cute miniature of a fox lady with a spear I was hoping to use. Till then I'll just edgumacate myself with how to play and hopefully try something small scale for now.

General | Posted 4 years agoIt's been quite a long time since I got up off my ass and did anything worthwhile. Work, family issues, Covid, depression, the usual suspects.
Well I wasted alot of my time, and money, on Genshin Impact and I am slowly trying to break free from it's grasp. One of my coworkers who also is a big gamer heard my many woes and suggested something I have heard of but never gave it much thought.
He introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons. My previous encounters with DnD were the two arcade games, a dvd movie that was like a choose your own adventure, and apparently a Dragonlance novel I read that I didn't know was part of the DnDverse. The only tabletop rpg I ever played was an old copy of Battletech I stumbled upon back in high school and some 40K figurines I tried to paint years back. I mostly liked the stories and books and video games than the tabletop games.
Well he pointed me in the direction of such things like Critical Role, Harmonquest and The Stuff Of Legends and watching the games play out looked fun. I really enjoyed watching a muppet with giant tits swing around a battleaxe. ^_^ I'm now reading a graphic novel called Adventure Zone, played a digital board game called Fighting Fantasy: Deathtrap Dungeon and just finished the first adventure and playing Knights of Pen and Paper. Apparently I have other DnD inspired stuff that I didn't realize. Dragons Crown, Goblin Slayer, Delicious in Dungeon and various other games and books are similar to the style.
I was going to buy something from the book store today after getting confused about which edition to play and trying to figure out the difference from Baldurs Gate and Pathfinder. I chickened out. There was a starters kit for $20, an essentials kit for $25, 3 books like the players guide, dungeon master manual, monster manual at $160. Boxes of spell cards, maps, tiny ass figurines, expensive dice. And so many other books and guides it overwhelmed me.
I passed up on getting anything and went home feeling defeated. Next week though I will attempt to go to the nearby game store and ask for assistance or ask to watch a game play out, I dunno. Maybe I'll chicken out again, maybe not.
If there is anyone around who has dabbled in DnD style roleplaying and has suggestions for a new player, I'd be very grateful for some advice.

Astartes. It's been quite a while since I delved into the 40K universe, but damned if I'm not impressed by that. Though that ending confused the hell out of me.
https://youtu.be/Xe075uvV17g
So no Gundam episode this week for some reason but Gundam is still involved. Well, 4 Air Goufs just tearing up those poor ground pounders. Match suddenly ended, thought it was a connection issue, but it turns out half the opposing team rage quit after having 4 annoying flying enemies fly circles around them and lay fire on them. First time I won by the other people rage quitting. ^_^

Meanwhile in Russia. This had me laughing my ass off.

Hellbent for whiskey. A short film where the games Guns, Gore and Cannoli 1 and 2 are based off of. Think Metal Slug with Zombies and Gangsters. Nazis get involved in GGC2.
I am bored out of my mind. I only work one day a week and the rest I am stuck with my family. I am going nuts.

Found this interesting video, quite late 80s early 90s style. Like the mechanized animals. Mechanimals? Hard to believe the guy who sang it is one of these two goofballs.

Recovering from illness, internet still shoddy. Yakuza!
General | Posted 6 years agoBeen a while, hasn't it? Blame those northern birds who fly down here to get away from the cold and end up bringing their colds and flus with them. I was out of commission for nearly two weeks with fluids filling my lungs everywhere I went. Took more meds than my parents, ate pretty much every kind of soup known to man, and had some very strange dreams because of all of it.
On the plus side, I missed out for much of the crazyness of the holiday. Got lots of sleep that I have been missing out on. And when I was awake for what few hours I was up for I binged several shows I've been meaning to watch such as the latest season of Gundam: Buid Divers. ReRise, My Hero Acadamia, and Demon Slayer. Even watched the entire Austin Powers trilogy which is very bizzare to watch when drugged up on meds.
Tried to play a few games but the internet around where I live is 2 bars at best due to all the storms we've been having lately. I'm lucky to be able to get online to play a match of Gundam at all these days.
https://youtu.be/5H49L_elChs
Finally got a team of Zaku's though! ^_^
So when I was offline I tried to play some of the newest SD Gundam Cross Rays.
https://youtu.be/nJZbKNrRKlw
It's okay when compared to Genesis. Wing, Seed, 00 and IBO plus several side stories are featured plus some dlc units from X, Turn A and AGE.
But the game that surprised me the most was finally getting the chance to play a game collecting dust on my shelf for a while. Yakuza Zero.
https://youtu.be/QxCohqg8h-Y
It's like Shenmu but not boring as hell. I wasted so much time with side missions such as playing arcade games, pool, darts, bowling and lots of others. But the story also hooked me as well and the next thing I realize is I kept playing till the wee early morning hours.
https://youtu.be/FBtgI8lJ9r4
I'll let Dunkey describe it best. I loved it so much I bought the rest of the series digitally on the PS4, it's Fist of the North Star spin off, and even pulled out my old copy of Dead Souls, the first game in the series I played which turns out it took place between 3 and 4 but is non canon because zombies.
Still, Yakuza is my newest favorite series and I'm gonna try to beat the series. ^_^

General | Posted 6 years agoThanksgiving coming and Xmas following afterwards means I am going to have to deal with a flood of folks flying without a clue of what to do when their plane leaves in five minutes and they just now show up.
In the meantime I have just bought the Ring Fit Adventure game for my Switch, and it is kicking my ass, but in a good way I think. Legs hurt, arms hurts but I am doing something positive. My knee which was hurting due to the cold after dropping something on it earlier doesn’t bother me as much anymore and I think this game is the reason why. Not because it works as a form of muscle rehab, but because it makes other parts of me hurt more that I ignore it. Nah, I think the game is helpful. Hope I can keep up the routine for the future.

The killer rabbit of Zeon is let loose on the battlefield...
General | Posted 6 years agoThe other day I got a surprise when PSN had a free downloadable game called Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2. That just rolls off the tongue, don't it?
https://youtu.be/p-kSEAIAxZs
Hell yeah, a game less speedy and hacky slashy like the Warriors and Breaker games and not a strategy game! And units from the One Year War up to Operation Stardust. And just between grunts an no god damned Newtypes? Although I wonder about that what with me already unlocking Blue Destiny 1 and 3 already and their EXAM systems.
While I am a bit disappointed I can't choose between Zeon and Federation and instead just a trooper in a private military unit that fights on random battlefields, I don't mind. Though seeing Gundams fighting alongside Zakus against other Gundams and Doms does kinda kill the mood some. No named ace pilots so No Zaku Boy scenes. Don't even see White Base anywhere when I was playing. Saw 3 Gundams at once though, that was a very one sided fight.
Luckily the game gave me 10 free units and I unlocked lots of premium currency for their gacha system after beating the surprisingly hard tutorial. Trying to last 2 minutes in space with a Dra-C after killing two enemy units was stresful. Lost over 10 times but it was worth it. Got lots of currency and 3 levels of Trainer GMs. But screw that I wanna fight some Gundams with the brand new Gouf Custom and it's big ass gatling.
Turns out it's cost was too high. Apparently certain modes limit what you can bring in. Can't have everyone with Gundams I guess. Sadly the only unit I had in that range was a basic Zaku 1 and I kept getting shot down. Did eventually found matches that had no restrictions and got to use my higher level units, and got ripped to pieces almost instantly. Turns out there's ranks involved. I'm D- since I just started. I was up against A- pilots, all Japanese who had this game longer.
So after lots of trial and error and learning about having to spend my hard earned currency to get parts and weapons to buff my units I finally started to fight matches in earnest...and lost 20 matches in a row! Granted I managed to take down several other units and points I couldn't figure out why we kept losing. And then I remembered the Triangle during the tutorial.
Mobile suits are one of three classes. Raid, General, Support. Raiders are fast melee focused attackers like the close range Gouf and their big assed Heat Blades. Fast and mobile but easy pickings against General units. Mid ranged units like the GM and Zaku with their pew pew guns and basic swords. Generals are the prey of Support units such as Sniper and Cannon units which hit hard but are slow moving making them easy targets for Raid units that get in and cut them to ribbons.
So after spending a good amount of time trying to remember which unit has advantages over what and realizing that info shows up when you attack them in game I finally got my first win.
https://youtu.be/7a1mSEhJQDo
Turns out being a lone pilot you can do quite alot of damage outside the suit and are key to captures and bombing bases.
https://youtu.be/mNIiigFqbxM
Space battles are a whole different beast. Killed more pilots than I did suits.
https://youtu.be/C8bOodrQXAg
Okay I cheated a bit and decided to use a Gundam in a no restriction match. Best round I ever did. 6 kills and no deaths.
Overall, I quite like it and though it's a freemium game I am going to give in and buy the starter pack at least. Won't give me a big edge against the Japanese players but I get another Gundam to use and some credits for weapons and parts. Pissed me off that I got weapons for units I don't have though...but I'll get them in the gacha eventually.
Once I level up enough I plan on starting my own clan. I'll update ya'll on that in the future. The killer rabbit of Zeon is let loose on the battlefield once more. ^_^
https://youtu.be/rbOakTWFCf8
Edit: Made an alt using my Jap account, accidentally made a male char and dunno how to change it...
Had fun playing as a GM with their punt pew pew laser gun, that is sadly more powerful than my Zaku machineguns.

I was trying to quit...
General | Posted 6 years ago...but Battlefront 2 used the Force to drag me back in kicking and screaming.
I got bored quick with Capital Dominance, those matches took way too long, too many people playing at once just messed with my connection, and it's damned near impossible to get a hero. And when you do they are gunned down quick. So I was thinking of dropping it and play something else.
Ooh but then they released new maps (Felucia), new modes (Instant Action: Offline, co-op: online), new unit (Clone Commando) and extra skins to collect.
https://youtu.be/Qd1fkBVl8rM
Instant action is okay. A dumbed down version of capital dominance but without the starship siege parts. Good practice at least. Commando is pretty neat in this one.
https://youtu.be/Jc1-3BXvKcU
Co-op first try. I had no clue what is going on but being part of 4 players against an AI horde was quite exciting and being the Commando was very satisfying. A nice counter to the Droideka.
https://youtu.be/TFrL1L_vw7A
Holy crap things get crazy if you don't try to work together and co-ordinate with your other players. The AI are like ants and dart around like crazy and are just as numerous. No matter how many I take down they just swarmed us. Doesn't help that a teammate quit on us and only 3 players were up against the enemy.
https://youtu.be/2bJ0We85ldc
Things turned out better for me here as I actually got a chance to use a hero that didn't die right away. Once we found out that you only need to capture and hold one point and the other 3 players led me to capture points with hero and special units things got quite easier, though still a challenge.
Overall I like it. Glad they kept heroes to just Clone Wars era. Wished there was a mode for the Civil War or Resistance era but I'm happy with what I got. Now if they only would release a mode where everyone was limited to the basic starting weapon and no buffs, that'd be awesome.
Seems I'm gonna be stuck in this universe for a while longer. Wonder what they'll include from the next movie.

General | Posted 6 years agoExhausted, sunburned, worn out, and nearly broke wallet wise. At least I made it back hope. And with fewer souviners than I was expecting. No lightsaber. No second droid. Ate alot more than I expected. ^_^; But I am sure I burned it off these last few days. I'm gonna pass out now and tomorrow. Go watch some giant robot fights. You'll learn something.

I'm done with coasters...
General | Posted 6 years agoSimulators are okay and boat rides are nice as long as they aren't log droppers. But I think I'm calling it quits with coasters. I rode the Slinky Dog finally and god damn that thing nearly killed me. I thought Space Mountain's cars were small but this was an even tighter fit and it's supposed to seat 2! So many drops played hell on my back but I at least got off lucky. Some poor mom got carted off on a stretcher after her ride leaving her crying kids with paramedics. O_0
I swear I took more pain pills in these four days than I usually do in a month at work. Went back early, took a rest and a soak, came back to watch two interesting projection and laser shows. The Star Wars one was awesome. ^_^
Slept in this morning and did the rides I skipped over my last trip and rode my favorites.
https://youtu.be/9XUJOMP_ur4
https://youtu.be/TlBAu_lyTxo
Went back to the hotel to rest, came back during the fireworks and made my way to Big Thunder. I was told that riding it at night during fireworks would be great. I was lied to. I made the mistake of wearing skimy shorts that were almost like swim trunks because I wanted to be comfortable. That was a mistake. No one else was riding so I was sent all the way to the back and had a seat all to myself and sat in the middle. Good lord, Big Thunder alone at night is terrifying. I slid back and forth on the seata during the turns, thought I was gonna lose my head during drops since I can't see shit in front of me. Beautiful view of the fireworks during the climbs though, but damned scary.
At least the projection and laser show on the castle was interesting to watch. Gonna head home tomorrow and try to rest up on Saturday before going back to work. Don't think I'll visit Disney for another few years and by then I don't know if my body can handle it. The heat, the rides, all the uphill walking. And not to mention my poor wallet.
Still, I had a great time and enjoyed myself. ^_^ I might go if I can convince some friends or family to come.
Cya'll soon folks.

Enjoying Star Wars Land
General | Posted 6 years agoOr Galaxy's Edge, whatever you wanna call it. I had worries about not being able to ride the Falcon with Dorian preventing the extra hours for guests but luckily even at regular opening hours the crowd was so small I managed to ride it within ten minutes of standby, which is an adventure in itself. The waiting area has so many easter eggs any fan will be gushing with joy. I managed to drink my 'thermal detonator' Coke bottles they sell while waiting.
During my first ride in the Falcon I managed to be the right side pilot who controls the ship's vertical movement while some mother was the co-pilot who controls the horizontal movement. Her kids were gunners while her husband and some extra kid were engineers. All they have to do is push buttons when they light up, us pilots had the harder job. I want to rank this as more fun than Star Tours since it's pretty much a rail shooter/simulator and the fact I don't need to wear 3d glasses. But after riding it 2 more times in the other spots with no different routes or courses it got tiresome after a while. While we managed to get a high score and 2 fuel containers on our first run we were lucky to even get one container with my other groups. I was either stuck with kids who piloted the ship into every obstacle or other crew members who didn't know what buttons to push or didn't speak English.
But I will still enjoy that sensation as the pilot when I pulled back that rod to make us go into hyperspace. ^_^ Pure bliss. Even the lackluster 2nd and 3rd flights couldn't bring me down.
https://youtu.be/IfjHH83ksvE
Ran around the land chilling with the Wookies (I feel so bad for the guy in this weather), throwing Rebels under the bus as the First Order was hunting them down. Gotta spect my Stormtroopers yo. Empire forever! Had time to kill before my droid appointment so rode Star Tours 6 times, each time different which I really enjoy about the ride. Just wish they had one without 3d glasses. I kept getting nauseous around the 3rd time around. Went to Toy Story and rode the saucers and played the midway game. Luckily I have a reservation for Slinky dog later tonight after I rest up a bit. Saw the Lightning Mcqueen racing academy which is quite a fun show for Cars fans.
Finally got to make a droid. Was trying to decide which one to make but I settled with a black and white R2 unit with a clear dome. Didn't give it a personality chip but I did get it some blasters and tools. It was quite a fun experience especially when I activated her. Thinking of calling her either Oreo or Mona, short for monochrome. I plan on building a BB unit later tonight.
Afterwards went and experienced Oga's cantina and got in with no problems. Very few chairs but I was luckily standing near the bar. Sampled a Blue Bantha which is the blue milk and a coconut and sugar cookie which was very hard to eat, I mean my jaw was hurting afterwards. Luckily the Carbon Freeze was a bit more tasty and easier on my mouth. At first I was worried about the bubbling drink but it was very good.
https://youtu.be/E3UFi2ZH1I0
The land as a whole is great with the cast staying in character except when they are dealing qith someone who doesn't speak english and are not in on the act. I feel sorry for the guests looking for Lightsabers and don't realize that they are outlawed but don't know about the 'junk' salesman nearby. ^_^ I had to facepalm when I over heard some mom ask where the laser swords were. Sure enough they were wearing Harry Potter shirts. Damn Potterheads.
The only negative thing I have to say about my whole adventure, was the food. Ronto Roasters is a great place and I love the Ronto wrap which was alot of mests and veggies in a pita wrap. But saty away from the jerky they offer. I ate half of it and threw the other half away. It was that bad.
Resting up in the hotel till I go again later tonight and watch the show. Dunno what I plan on doing tomorrow. With Dorien screwing up the magic hours but with so few crowds I don't even need my fast passes. The wait outside the Falcon is only 60 minutes which is a huge difference than the 10 hour wait for that one Potter ride.
I'm so eager to use my droids during Halloween. ^_^ They are going to lure unsuspecting kids to my jumping spider which I'll have hiding under a table with a tarp.
More tomorrow.
Oh, I do have one regret about my whole trip. I just wished I brought my Poke'walker. There are so many stops here, probably 100 in Animal Kingdom alone! I would have made a killing here.

Half a day is better than no day.
General | Posted 6 years agoWith my fast pass for Avatar's Flight of Passage scheduled at 3 but the parks closing at 2 I decided to rope drop the park super early. Left the hotel around 6, went into the park around 7. Barely even 50 people there. They let us in and almost everyone made a hurried walk towards Pandora. Was in and through the standard lane within the span of 10 minutes. Strapped myself in and put on the 3d glasses and finally I get to see what all the fuss is all about.
Blew my freaking mind! Imagine the giant screen from Soarin, the crazy flying from Star Tours, and being the little hood ornament on the vehicle. I haven't made so much noise on a ride in a long time. It was by far one of the best rides I've ever been on. And the best part, no crowds because of the hurricane. Rode it two more times within the next hour. The second time I started to get woozy. The third made me glad I skipped breakfast because my head and stomach were quite shaken. Took a nap on the River Journey which was very relaxing.
Ate breakfast at the Tusker House buffet and got to meet Safari Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy and my favorite Donald Duck. ^_^ Went on the safari next. Barely any animals seen at first but luckily got a close encounter with a curious giraffe and was in for a treat as we passed the lions. A lioness perched herself on a rock over looking us and roared at us several times which according to the operator was a rare occurance. The male lion got up and went up to the edge of the rock and we waited for him to roar. He just pointed his ass at us and squirted a jet of lion piss in our direction. Apparently that isn't a rare occurance though it was a first for me. Luckily I was on the opposite side.
Rode the train to Planet Watch, killed time in the petting zoo, rode the train back. Rode the rapids and got soaked quite alot and started my way back to leave the park just before noon. I rode everything and saw all the shows before plus I was still sore from the last night. Soaking my feet in a cooler of hot water filled with epson salts and lavendar. May take a nap, then the pool, and if I'm lucky and they open the parks tomorrow normally, I need to get to bed early so I can rope drop Hollywood Studios and make my reservation to build a droid and maybe ride the Falcon.
Managed to finish an anime series while waiting today. I may finish another or a movie tomorrow.

Take what I can get...
General | Posted 6 years agoWell, ate too much and drank too much in Epcot and decided to call it half a day. That and feet were killing me. Seems I bought the wrong shoes and these 'pool shoes' may be handy when things get wet like when it rained on my twice the other day though briefly, walking great distances they fail.
Turna out my room doesn't have a tub so I can't enjoy a nice soak in epson salts and bath bombs like I was hoping for, so I just emptied out my cooler and turned it into a giant soak bucket for my feet at least. Turned down house keeping and got a $30 gift card which I used to buy new footwear. Very surprised at how Crocs handle and discovered they are quite comfortable.
Went to Disney Springs. Played that VR Star Wars thing at The Void but was the only one there so had to do the whole thing solo. A single rebel disguised as a stormtrooper raiding a facility. Was like the best FPS experience, but tiring when having to bypass a lock while shooting at troopers. Piggied out in the springs, went home early, tried to go to sleep and all I ate and drank kept me up.
Woke up to the news that Dorian is making the parks close early which is disappointing since I had a pass for that Avatar ride in the afternoon when they close. But with how few crowds they are now I think I can do it first thing in the morning and ride the safari and rapids which are what I really wanna do anyway. Shame I'll miss the night show but I can probably come back late to experience it, maybe leave one of the other parks though it may be a hassle since they don't have a boat or monorail that can easily get there like the other ones. Hope I can still get to rope drop Hollywood so I can at least ride the Falcon.

General | Posted 6 years agoHmm...Disney Wifi is blocking FA. I wonder why? ^_^;
Well, didn't rope drop Star Wars like I intended because I forgot to set my bloody alarm for midnight. Woke up around 3 in the morn to use the bathroom and left around 3:30. Luckily no heavy winds or rain as I was going over the bridges. Took an unexpected 'detour' when a construction zone blocked off an exit I was supposed to take and didn't update. 30 miles out and went into another construction zone and holy hell, so many twists and turns and bumps and hills, it's like playing an arcade racer. Freaking terrifying when there's a cement wall to my left and an 18 wheeler to my right and we're coming up to a turn. And then my gps decides to get possessed and tries to make me go every damned where.
I finally got to my hotel around 6:30. Luckily I get a room opposite where I was last time and close to the front and elevators. Room is almost a mirror image of my last visit. Grabbed a luggage loader to carry all my crap to my room. As I was unloading a family of 4 next door with 12 huge bags was struggling to get out so I gave them my loader and helped with their bags. In return they gave me a left over 12 pack of Cherry Coke and 12 tiny Gatorade bottles they had left over and coldn't take on their flight. Good deeds are rewarded. ^_^
Just killing time outside the Epcot check in. Hope I don't overdo the wine fest.

Getting ready to go!
General | Posted 6 years agoJust taking a break from putting my luggage and edibles in my car and going over my grab bag before trying to nap before heading out at midnight to get to Disney. I lucked out with Dorian changing course and hopefully some of the crowds were scared away. Seeing some of the grand opening footage for Star Wars land was crazy. It's just like Episode 1 all over again with the crazy lines full of fans. I'm a huge fan but I sure as hell ain't waiting in line for 10 hours for a freaking ride.
Trying to decide if I should bring my Switch or not. Don't plan on taking it into the parks, got my 2ds for that, or my Vita. Maybe a tablet with some manga and anime loaded up on it instead. I'll probably be too exhausted in the hotel to play it anyways. Kinda odd how something is so portable and I haven't taken it anywhere yet.
Plan on spending Mon-Thurs in each park, half daying the Kingdoms before going to Epcot for Food and Wine. Might start in Epcot and end one day in Hollywood since I could only get a Slinky dog fast pass for the evening. Dunno if I should spend Friday morning in half a park, Disney Springs, or just saying fuck it and head home. Then recover Saturday and get back to work on Sunday. Bleh...-_-
I'll try to keep ya'll up to date. If you don't hear from me, then I probably got blown off the bridge and eaten by an alligator. Hope that doesn't happen. ^_^;

I will survive!
General | Posted 6 years agoAlso, fuck you Dorien and fuck you Mother Nature!! I am not going to let something like a hurricane ruin my trip to Disney. Those weather guys are usually wrong all the time and if it does hit I can still enjoy the few days afterwards at the parks. And if the parks stay open, the crowds will be smaller because of all the folks running away. Fuck that, I'm heading straight into Star Wars land and I will survive!
Speaking of surviving in Star Wars, I never knew that there was a survival mode in Battlefront 1. I never got the game because I was told there was nothing to do offline and it was online only. Had I known about this I would have gotten it. Ah well.

I can’t do this anymore, I can’t keep up...
General | Posted 6 years agoNever thought I’d see the day but it was bound to happen sooner or later. But I can’t keep buying any new games. I keep telling myself “Treat yourself to a new one when you beat an old one.” But with more games either having multiple endings, add on dlc, or never ending seasonal games-as-service models such as Paladins I’ll never finish anything. Speaking of which...
https://youtu.be/zzGlONLF0aE
Foxy lady from Smite. I did not know that the Chinese and Korean people have their own versions of a nine tailed fox. Thought that was only a Japanese thing. I learned something new.
And worse, trying to get back into something I used to play nearly every day. Battlefront 2. I stopped playing for about a month to try out other games and nearly everyone is so much more ranked than me!
https://youtu.be/T78m9fvd0Go
That took forever and we still lost! Still had fun though and was lucky my connection didn’t drop. And that’s another thing, always having an online connection just to play, or to update. I miss the days when I used to pop in a game and it played right away.
But what ticks me off the most is waiting forever to buy a Switch, and after spending a lot of money on peripheral add ons and games they release a new one with better battery life as well as a mini/lite version!?
And to make matters worse, I’m trying to save up enough spare funds to go crazy in the Star Wars section in Disney in two weeks not to mention pigging out in the Food and Wine festival. So many games came out that I want to play but probably won’t have time to finish. Fire Emblem: 3 Houses, Ultimate Alliance 3 to name a few, plus their season passes! And both of them nearly cost $100 a pop. But then a sale for Guacamelee 1 and 2 with all the dlc for under $20!
Augh, I need something to distract me...

Ah, that was nice. Folks, my new favorite unit from Super Robot Wars T

The adorable badass Angela Balzac from the film Exiled From Paradise. Loved playing with her in the game, loved watching her in the movie, and now going out of my way to buy figurines of her soon. ^_^

Gonna be very busy. Busy with robots.
General | Posted 6 years agoGonna be very busy for this next month. Spent the last week dealing with a credit card issue where my replacement card suddenly stopped working due to a glitch deactivation turned it off. Quite frustrating trying to deal with all the problems that came with it. But luckily things worked out.
Less than a month before my trip and I’m trying to resist giving in and buying any new games. Very hard not getting Fire Emblem 3 Houses but then I remember I haven’t beaten any of the Fates or Valencia games, heck not even the Warriors game yet so I’m trying to hold off on it. Besides, I don’t think I’d have time to play it any.
In the meantime I’m trying to finish my latest SRW game.

T is better than X but not as good as V, oddly there is a bonus mission where the chars from the previous games fight alongside this generation albeit for just a single mission.
Also need to finish my current SD Gundam game before the newest one comes out.

It’s like Pokémon but with giant robots where the pilots are trying to kill each other. ^_^;

At least Genesis restricts it to the Universal Century...Cross Rays though...
https://youtu.be/_PL_VDi3lpg
Many of the alternate time lines like Wing, Seed and hopefully G. The other series I could care less about.
Aside from that I have decided to work on finishing some model kits that have been collecting dust. Which ones I’m working on? Well, here’s an example.

Wow, Gourai got some upgrades. I’m actually working on the bunny girl Baselard so expect me to show her off soon.

And let’s finish this off with something random.

Gotta love that sound. ^_^

Nothing new aside from some Paladins stuff.
General | Posted 6 years agoWell aside from me getting better from my flu and getting my voice back, though now dad has it and I’m trying to take care of him and will most likely get sick again. That and trying to plan out my upcoming Disney trip. These extra hours starting at 6 and 7 really threw a wrench in my original plans. At least I got fast passes for Avatar, Slinkydog, and 7 Dwarves. I hope I get to make a decent droid when I get to Galaxy’s Edge.

In other news Paladins have released a new battle pass which I had enough free premium currency saved up for. Hate having to use other characters that I usually don’t use to achieve some of the goals but I did pretty well with Ash here. Loved chucking two characters off the map. ^_^
https://youtu.be/dc-73zv9nlo
Unlocked a new skin for my assault sniper Kinessa. Love the super soaker sniper rifle. ^_^
https://youtu.be/cwANVMB_KRk
But the real icing on the cake was the new character Io. A decent healer with her familiar Luna and deadly with her bow. Here I’m using her feral skin which makes her look quite foxy.

I really should learn more about their lore.

Health, sabers, and a lioness with a hare up its ass.
General | Posted 6 years agoTook us a while to get back online, huh? Well in the meantime I have been feeling better. Voice is coming back though now it seems my dad has what I had so now I’m trying to take care of him.
In other news, after hearing reports of people buying Galaxy’s Edge sabers for $200 and having them break I think I’ll pass on buying an overpriced glow stick that I’ll barely use. I mean I don’t even use my $50 Force FX one aside for Halloween and sometimes when I take out the trash at night. And after watching this fan film, I am so tempted to buy one.

Forces of Darkness
Not as good as SC38 but still impressive, most impressive. Still, I must resist the temptation of getting another Dark Side lightsaber. Still gonna buy a droid or two, tempted to buy a pair of BB types. One with a blue base with white lines and another with a white base with blue lines. I’ll call them my blue balls. ^_^ But I’m still aiming for a mostly black R2 unit. If not that, then a red one with rocket boosters which I’ll give an obviously punny name of Red Rocket. ^_^ So looking forward to my trip in September.
And for something totally random, something I found when wide awake late one night.

The rabbit and the lioness.
That’s about it from my end. Cya’ll soon.
