furmeet on october 4th?? I NEED TO GO!!
General | Posted 11 years agoApparently there is a furmeet in Raleigh, NC this October 4th and I reaaallly want to go. Please work...don't make me work! It's almost that time to call in favors so i can make sure I can go lol. I'm even going to get an over-sized tennis ball to go with my new over-sized paws which me and my love are rushing to finish. Its been far too long since I've taken some good pictures of Dusty. I'm usually busy or Luna is and one or the other can't go for some other unforeseen reason...this time its got to happen. It must, IT IS OUR DESTINY!!
Speaking of Destiny, that game is awesome! ;3
Other than that, nothing too exciting going on. Cool thing though, the person that sits next to me in my math class is also furry (

General | Posted 11 years agoHooooray! Got a new Laptop! Sold my 4 yr old iMac over craigslist and got a laptop completely paid off plus a little extra cash. Should make it a looot easier to update and stay more active.
The engaged life is going great, I couldn't be happier. The only thing that could make me even happier would be going to a con with my furry wife-to-be. Luna and I (and I use "I" very loosely ^^;) are working on our accessories for our suits so we can be ready when the time arises. Can't wait to get some super huge puffy paws that can't grip anything. Yaaaaaay!!
I also got to experience a similar situation to Luna... where apparently the classmate sitting beside me is also a furry. XD Apparently furries stand out with there notebooks: lion king, pokemon, and wolves/other animals. Small world ^w^

I'm sure many of you probably know the story by now, since y'all watch both of us, but I figure I can give my own version.
I know Luna very very well. I know shes a Disney fanatic, loves cute romantic things, and loves Tangled. The only option to do is to have a tangled themed proposal of course! I planned it for months with my kitchen manager at the Texas Roadhouse where I work. He'd help me get lanterns, and I'd try to find people. I told people my plan months in advance and they were all so happy to be a part of something special. Its not like these kinds of opportunities come around often. I originally planned for everyone to come to this suspension bridge in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. This bridge, and its surrounding downtown area, was the site of our first kiss and our 1st date as boyfriend and girlfriend. Its special to us. With everyone at the bridge (at night, to be well hidden) they were to light lanterns and recreate the cute scene in Tangled.
Monday morning, May 26th, we got up like any normal day. I informed adri that I wanted to go out to eat after work that night and have a date night. We haven't had one in a while, so it seemed like a good idea. I also told her a little white lie: That there would be fireworks at the bridge for memorial day at midnight. (she just didn't know what kind of fireworks ;3) It was the perfect plan so everyone had time to get lanterns ready, and to get her out late at night.
The whole day was just stressful though. Work was hard to focus on, since I knew I had a bigger life altering moment later that night, and there was a 40% chance of rain. That wasn't going to work. The "back-up plan" was non-existent. In the words of my kitchen manager: "It can't rain." The great thing was that it seemed like it would hold and I was to get off work at 10. After 10 is when I usually start my backwork as a waiter, roll silver, clean my tables, sweep, and usually another random chore. My co-workers decided that wasn't going to fly, and I had a woman to win, and helped me with ALL of my backwork to get out early. It felt amazing with how much they wanted to help.
Thanks to the efforts of my friends at work, I was able to get home and get Luna to a restaurant downtown around 11. By the time we finished eating it was 11:55. She was worried that we would miss the fireworks and I assured her we wouldn't lol. We made the walk to the fated bridge at night. Just us. Alone. As we walked on the bridge she was terrified telling me that she wanted to go home, and who knows what could happen out here...little did she know that she had around 50 supporters underneath the bridge with lanterns waiting. I told her we needed to stay just a bit longer, to which she was very mad and scared at this point. She turned around, ready to leave, where she was met with a wall of lanterns. By the time she turned back around just barely getting out "l...lanterns?.." I was on one knee. She knew then. The tears were about to rush and I heard her say "is this real" before I asked her the biggest question of my life to her: "Will you marry me?"
AND THE ANSWER WAS YES!!! :heart: :heart: :heart:
My friends, family, and co-workers all came up to greet us and congratulate us before we started some picture taking. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life...its only one though. I'm sure with her in my life, there will be many, many more amazing moments. And I can't wait to spend every one with her. :'3

Halloweeeeeeeeen!!
General | Posted 12 years agoHey all! *blows dust off journal page.* i think its about time for an update!
Most important, its halloween!! So excited as Luna, a certain bear (although he will be a lion ;3), and I are all going fursuiting together at a trunk or treat event for my sister's church. Ive done it the past two years already, and i had a lot of fun. I'm always a hit, amd this year its going to be even crazier with more animals around! And this year i'll actually have a camera and a camera thats charged!! XDD
I also even fursuited locally at my work a couple weeks ago. It was a super hero themed costume time for kids with down syndrome, so Dusty became SuperWolf! I donned the iconic superman logo, cape, and had a great time The kids adored me, and my GM and kitchen manager loved it. When i fist bumped some kids, i pretended that they hurt my paw because those kids were stronger than super wolf. X3 It just made them squel with delight and laugh a lot haha. Unfortunately there was no one dedicated to pictures, so i only have one picture which i haven't retrieved from another manager yet...i will get it!
In the videogaming portion of my world though: Pokemon! Have already
Logged 100 hours into my pokemon y version and am really enjoying it! If you wanna add me and battle or trade let me know. Im a big fan of poké battles. >:3

We watched Wall-e, How To Train Your Dragon, and Bolt all in one day at her parents house. Her mom even mentioned that Luna's love of disney movies was going to scare me away (boy, was she wrong! XD). Well, as night time came, it was time for me to depart, with the Bolt movie I had brought over (my favorite NEW disney movie). However, Luna didn't want to give it back, stating: "I'm keeping this now." in a "im kidding sort of way". I just responded with an "okay." She looked at me, surprised for a second before saying: "...you're gonna let me keep you're favorite movie?" To which I responded, "yep. Only if you will officially be my girlfriend." :3
2 years later, and I think you guys know the answer. ;3
I still remember the time when we were excited to hit a 3 month mark and were like "wow, I can't believe we've been together for 3 whole months." Seems kinda silly now! XD

Con hopes and I miss my Luna!
General | Posted 12 years agoFirst off, I miss my Luna. She flew off to Texas and I already miss her like crazy, even though its only been a couple days. We had just made her a Xbox Live trial account and shes been my battle buddy on Call of Duty. Its so hard to win without her! I can't wait until shes on that flight home and I can hug her again and we can watch movies and play videogames again. Soon my love!
Also some good news: I may finally have another job! I have been working at Blockbuster for the past 6 or so months but the store closed even though we were the busiest in the district. T-T However, my brother talked to his manager at Target and she may get me to work the Electronics section! She even has already met me before because she came into blockbuster and talked to me. It would be a great position for me since i'm such a techy and gamer guy. I have high hopes! ^w^ Besides, I need some money for....
...CONS!! My cousin has informed me of a local con called Monstercon near downtown and Luna and I may attend so we might actually get to have a pubic outing together! That makes me so excited! And if we don't get to go there, I can almost guarantee that we will be going to San Japan in San Antonio, Tx in August with our amazing friends

Well it sure has been a while hasn't it? Prolly a good year or so since i've been on here, since Deviantart has been my main website of contact. I don't plan to take another break anytime soon though, as i have felt the urge to be active here again. Yaaaay!! Anyways updates...
Of course i have my suit now, which was made by
whyiotter Its been a ton of fun at random events, especially during halloween time! I have a lot of pictures to post on here so prepared to get spammed!
I have been with the wonderful love of my life angelwolf92 for about a year and 2 months now. She's the most amazing woman on the planet and if anyone wants the read the cutesy story of how we met and got together, she did a whole tribute to it! If you've seen the movie "We've bought a zoo" then you know all about the 20 seconds of insane courage. She took that reference and did 20 best moments of our first year together. As for event outings, not sure what the future holds. Didn't get to go to Dragon*Con 2012 this year due to financial stuffs, but the next con i'm looking at is probably Nashicon 2013 in April. Hopefully Luna's suit will be done and we can both go out in public together for the first time there.
Anyways, can't think of much else to say, so anyways, i'm totally not dead, and i'm not going to be rolling over anytime soon! ^-^
