Hey, Folks!

It's been a while since I made a journal post, but I might as well do so now.

'Extracurricular Activities' is still trucking along smoothly. Between  CaptainGerBear doing character art and  Gavel doing the backgrounds, the project has come a long way over the last few years.

All five main routes are done, so I have been working on Richard and Dwayne routes now! These are the last two routes I'll be doing for ExcA. By the time it's all said and done, I should be over 2 million words! I've already broken 1.6 million, so 2 million isn't far off! For an average reader, that's already over 100 hours worth of reading, haha. There's a ton to read here!

Howdy, folks! A lot has gone on since I made a new journal.

Extracurricular Activities is on version 1.76 on Patreon and will be updated to 1.77 on the 16th. The public version is on 1.73 and will be updated to 1.75 on the same day on Itch. I've been working with  CaptainGerBear and  Gavel over the last year in adding more and more art to it, and it's crazy how much things have come along during that year.

I have an actual website now, instead of a blog, to help keep stuff more organized. I have have a store set up there for merchandise! Check out, WolfBiteinteractive!

Some of the biggest news is that I have registered as a business. Officially, on March 1st, my business WolfBite Interactive LLC exists. It's really exciting and huge step forward with my work!

Lastly, Monster Hungting... For Love! will be released on Steam on the 14th, so that's just a few days away! It's been a process getting it all set up, but I'm excited to show it off again. It's something I worked on with  drcbllz (concept artist) and  BriarsThorne (lead artist).

It's about time I update a journal here...

In regards to Extracurricular Activities, I'm sad to say I won't be working with CursedMarked any longer. If you'd like some extra detail about that, you can check out my public patreon posts about it here >> https://www.patreon.com/dk999/posts

Fret not though, as the project will continue, since I'll be working with  CaptainGerBear from now on! He'll be bringing some new stuff to the table, and the project is going to look like something brand new. The story and characters won't be changing, but we'll see significant changes in the layout and art department.

And for those that didn't know already, I'm working with  Gavel to bring all sorts of new backgrounds to the story!  BriarsThorne has been the one doing the sketches, while Gavel is cleaning them up and coloring them. It's really breathing a lot of new life into the project!

Just got back home after spending a week out with  cursedMarked and  waffle , and I had some fun info to share with everyoner in regards to Extracurricular Activities.

I now have a 3D mouse pad for order and Coach Grifter will also have a plush soon (hopefully!).

It's been a little bit since I last updated my journal, so here's some update stuff!

I've updated the Patreon version of Extracurricular Activities to versions 1.31. I added in updates for Dozer (Day 9) and Spencer (Day 15). https://www.patreon.com/dk999

I've updated it to version 1.24. I am aware that for some people, the visual novel is being force closed by Windows, and currently, I have no idea what's causing that. It only happens to a few people, and it seems to happen at different points. Hoping future updates help with that.

Halloween IDEKA 2016 special with  cursedmarked seems to be a success so far. For anyone that wasn't able to pledge for the month and see the project, we plan on making some changes with it, and we'll be uploading it for everyone else later on.

EA will be back to normal updates at the end of this month with a small update in the middle of the month (kinda taking it easy after last month).

What do you get this time?

~Dozer Day 4 - We have some outfit additions and changes to Dozer's wardrobe. Some minor tweaks to his previous Day's outfit. As for his Day 4 update, you are starting to get a little more insight to Dozer's character. I'm finally getting to flesh him out a bit. Absolutely love how Dozer looks in his new clothes.

~Darius Day 3 - Darius also got a wardrobe update, so you'll see him in some new clothes. One shirt in particular, I loved. I told CM to make it trendy, and he certainly made it look so! And... What's up with Darius and Spencer? I had a few people make some comments that gave me some ideas on where to take Darius's route, and well... I guess you'll just have to see for yourself.


I added music through both Darius and Dozer's routes with some other sound effects here and there. Deciding on music is really tough here, and some of it's done just to kill the silence. This is a huge area I need feedback on. Music and Sound is something that's really lacking, and the most I can do is RoyaltyFree stuff right now. Most of what I have is from Incompetch and Bensound.

Update 1.17 + Demo Update

Hey guys! Today is the day for a new update. We have 1.17 ready to go! Here’s a little bit of what I’ve done with this update.

~Day 10 for Spencer

~Day 13 for Coach Grifter - Added in some new outfits for him. Thanks to my Patron, Troy, for his pledge and the request on one outfit! Gave me an idea of how I could use it and get some story in, and it turned out great. Thanks to CursedMarked CursedMarked for the great work on it too!

I didn’t do as much work on the… technical aspects of the game this time. I have a lot of facial updates to do still, and I still need to go through and add music all over the place. The music adds a lot more life to it, but I have to decide on the right music too! I actually did a couple more backgrounds too, revolving around Grifter, so he won’t have as many grey screens behind him. Personally, I’d love to have images drawn of all the BGs, but right now, this is the best I can do!

Have comments or feedback? I’m always open to hear what you guys think, so always share! Also, keep in mind, if you find in crashes or bugs, let me know! If it crashes, try starting your file over and see if it crashes again at the same point. If so, snag a screenshot and send it my way! Or, copy the text and send me a message. That always helps me. And so you don’t have to read ALLLLL the text again, don’t forget, you can go into Preference and set the Skip Text message to ALL. From there, just hold down CTRL to skip text faster.

As well, if you find any type of inconsistency in the story, let me know! Sometimes, it’s hard to keep up with, but I really try to make sure I keep it straight! Each character’s storyline is different though, so continuity with weather and details like that don’t count.

For the month of May, here are some of the details for what all was update!

Update 1.15
~Day 10 with Chester (and then some!)
~Day 2 with Darius
~Updated the Credits and changed how that page functions (now has scrolling!)
~Changed Font (again...). - This time, with the font change, I have included it in the zip file in case there is an issue. Just take the font included and add it to your PC/MAC font folder. According to a search I did, the current font is standard on both PC and MAC, so hopefully there won't be any issue with fonts.

Update 1.16
~Added in a couple more of the Side Routes and Removed access to one (I hadn't started really)
~Fully updated Spencer's Route with facial updates and added Maria in through his days. << THIS was time consuming, and I still have 2 routes to do that with!
~Added a new scene in Chester's Route. See if you can find it ;3 #Hint, it's during his date, if you meet certain conditions.

Alright, so recently I launched an update for my Patrons on my visual novel, Extracurricular Activities. Update 1.13~ With that update, I added in Spencer's Day 9 and Darius' Day 1. Along with that update, I also updated the home page demo that everyone can check out (patron or not!). That update plays through Day 5 of Coach, Chester and Spencer, Day 1 for Darius and through Day 2 for Dozer. On top of that,  CursedMarked and I released our Halloween Special visual novel for the comic we're collaborating on (I.D.E.K.A.) for everyone to download. It was just a fun little thing we made for the holidays. It's roughly 8300 words, takes about 10-15 minutes to play through and has a little secret mode for your enjoyment ;3 Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think! We might do another one if the reception is good.

Or more? Or something else is worth a thousand words maybe... I've decided to open up some writing commissions to see if it'll help my improve my own writing. Essentially, I'm doing 1000 word short stories (about a page and a half at 12 font) for now. Just $5 bucks.
