Update: Absence, Career, and Life
Posted 3 years agoWell it's been 5 months since I last uploaded.
In those last 5 months a lot has happened, both good and bad (Only one bad thing, but I shant divulge into it, at this point it is nothing to worry about).
At the beginning of November Last Year I finally got a full time job, as a Security Officer at a Job Centre. Not the fanciest job, but for the past 3 months I have been getting on fairly well. I have scheduled hours, a decent hourly wage, within a reasonable distance from home. Something that I had been bitching about wanting since I dropped out of Uni. Something that I have said would allow to focus on doing more art work, or at least scheduling myself better to actually start working.
So, What happened to that semi-promise to myself? Well in short utter laziness. I do probably have a fair few hours in the day both after work and during work (Though I would only do SFW stuff at work (I ain't a bloody perv))where I can dedicate myself to being more active with this art stuff. But I find myself always wanting to not do much.
Though the site I work at is a quiet one (Which is quite surprising as it is a job centre in the UK), I do find myself doing a lot of work (Thankfully no physical intervention as of yet), and by the end of the day I am usually out of it. Distracting myself by watching stuff (AOT for instance...I am slowly becoming a weeb), or trying to play games (Like ProjectZomboid, M&B: Bannerlord, Humankind, etc) if I am in the mood. But in the most part I have not been too motivated to do it.
However, the thing that has been sucking up what little motivation I have of being creative, is actually a project I am working with my Father on. Essentially since before I was born, he had been writing a book series, and only since last year has been converting the files, from an analogue Word 97 to the latest version of Word.
His first book has been converted and essentially I have been slowly editing the book with him. It has been a slow but entertaining process and I hope to share more about the project in the future (Probably in about a year if I don't quicken up the pace at this point).
It shouldn't really be taking up all my motivation, and I do plan to try and reorganise myself (The point of this entire journal is essentially a means to prod myself in the right direction) so that I can do more regular stuff, and clear the gunk that is clogging up my noggin.
But this reorganisation may have to wait until March, as I am going to go for surgery. Not a major life-changing operation of course, this is just a well overdue minor procedure. Essentially I have a Bi-lateral Squint. I have had it for years, which usually was noticeable when I was tired, but now it is basically out all the time. It doesn't really cause much issue in my life, as the majority of the problems is mitigated by the fact that my brain is able to compensate for my eyes lack of cohesion.
The operation is due near the end of the month (Which is also the week before my Birthday, so that'll be interesting), and I'll be off for that week (So that I can recover from the operation). This isn't my first time being anesthetised, my first was a dental operation that was incredibly traumatic (Hence why I haven't had it sooner). The Silly Aussie bastard kept missing my blooming veins, and I probably passed out from shock than the actual anaesthetic (My mum also passed out when it happened). But thats life for ya, shit happens and you have to just get up and keep going.
But thats basically everything that has happened so far.
I do miss doing art stuff, but as I have said the motivation isn't there at the moment.
But as I always say, We shall see.
Anyways, Thank you for reading,
Take Care everyone, and cheers for reading.

Update: Commissions, Art and Work
Posted 4 years agoIts been a while since I last did an update journal, but I think it is seriously needed. It will be different than the last however, as I think I need to do the art to do list differently, especially as I have got more ideas, and done even less work.
So first up what have I been doing since the last update Journal?
Well essentially I have been working. I managed to get a temporary contract with the same local company as I did last year, but unfortunately I did manage to lose it again (Ironically enough in the same week that Kentaro Miura's death came out, which is a real kick in the nuts as I am currently been obsessing over Berserk). It was a shame as the team I was working with was pretty great, but I unfortunately was unable to meet the company's standards. Such is life.
So now currently I am job hunting as well as doing temporary work. But I am also doing some courses. The first is a Digital Journaling course, which will give me a bit of time in my day to focus on being creative, and after this first session it has definitely given me even more ideas. Also I am doing another Security Related course, but that is not until July (and absolutely terrifying as I have to stay in London for a few days).
I have also set up a new account on DeviantArt, and it has already bared fruit, with my first "deviation" reaching an absolutely insane 4,000 odd views (which compared to its FA counterpart is fucking insane). Currently my latest upload on their is at 6,000 odd views. I am super pleased to see such results as I want nothing more than people consuming and enjoying my work.
But other than that, I am currently at a standstill. I am in desperate need of getting a permanent job, which strangely enough is in short supply ever since lock down has been easing in the UK. But I am also in a creative standstill, other than that Digital Journaling course, I haven't got much motivation to do stuff, which pisses me off because I want to do more art, but I must have some problem with myself that makes it super difficult to focus on drawing, and being creative, especially when I have other things on the horizon (like work everyday this week).
But I have got an idea of a means to be motivated to do work, and that is to open myself up for Commissions.
Commissioning:
I have been thinking about doing it for quite a while, but after my Commission with GrayKobold I definitely feel more confident to do it. Especially as that Commission was a lotta fun to do in of itself and it didn't look too bad. I definitely feel like I am at a point where I am actually quite pleased with the look of my work. Which if you have been a follower of my work for a fair while, you know I haven't been too complimentary of myself.
But I have set up my Commission thingy on FA (Commission Info for Dynoddiprydain -- Fur Affinity [dot] net).
I am also planning on uploading my ToS and Price Lists on SoFurry, Inkbunny and DeviantArt as separate Journals, as I don't think those websites have a dedicated "Commission" section.
But I definitely feel quite excited to this Commissioning stuff. I also hope I have made it more affordable, because I know a lot of Artists make the prices insane (but then again they are at a highly professional standard, while I am still slowly getting to that point).
But let me know if any of you's are Interested, I am/I will be available to do commission fairly soon.
I am also planning to get on with other things. Like making a New Stellaris Galactic map for my Comic Series Idea.
I also can't thank you all enough for your support towards my work. Its super duperly apperciated.
Cheers,

Update: Art, Absence and Career
Posted 5 years agoSo its been well over a month or so since my last submission. I am not sure if this is my longest Hiatus so far, but it no doubt will be far from the last.
So I thought that I should do an update on whats been going on, as means to get into the mindset of submitting stuff and also revising my goals for art and such.
So first off I want to talk mention that my FA account has reached 30 (50 incuding Inkbunny and Sofurry) Watchers, which I am super pleased about. I was tempted to do a 30 (or a 50) Watcher piece celebration, but I am going to wait until FA reaches 50 itself. But 30 Watchers pretty crazy number to think about, and I can't thank any of you more enough for doing that.
Now lets move on to my absence from my art stuff. So at the Start of November there were two things happening, first was of course a National Lockdown in the UK. Though it was moreorless the same as the first lockdown this year, in that I was still working. The second was a course I participated in for a Door Supervisor Licence (That is the proffessional title for a Bouncer). I was kinda worried about the course for many reason, like the fact that Lockdown started the day before I start my course and the worry that I won't get along with the people there. But in the end the course still went on and I had a brilliant time. I actually just recieved my results for the course and have applied for the licence, so I am a Licneced Door Supervisor which I am quite happy with. I am planning to get more licences to ensure I find a better career.
The course I did was very enlightening, it has made me realise how dreadful the State of the UK is when it comes to Violence, Drugs and Knife Crime (All things that I would have to deal with in that sort of career).
All in all I had a great time, I also attempted to work on some of my art whilst I was away at the course, but I will talk about that further down in this journal.
For the rest of November I had been doing some work here and there through the agency that I work for. Some of it great, some of it hard, some of it boring and some of it very frustrating. I also had been doing some stuff related to getting a permenant job. Like the afforementioned Door Supervisor Course, and working with a job coach, as strangely enough having no Consistent Schedule or Wage, or place of work can be quite an irritating thing. So throughout that month, and I won't be surprised if this month as well, I have been quite unmotivated to do art. I hope it'll change soon but that is something we shall see.
So now lets talk about my plans when it comes to my art work.
My last plan I did was 6 months ago (which i did try to update, which was quite an annoying ordeal, especially as SoFurry is a massive pain to edit.) Anyways I do have more ideas in my head, some of which did arise in my absence.
I am going to compose in a similar way to the way I did in the last one. It will be split into: What I am working on (This is art that I am still working on), What I am yet to work on (This is art that I have yet to start on), What I am planning on (This is art that I am wanting to do but am mostly waiting until I finish other work or that my skills have improved), Ideas that I have (These are ideas I have that are not completely formulated or are just things that I want to do art of), and of course finally What I have done (This will be art that I have done).
What I am Working on:
-A Stranger's Lark: A Comic of my boyfriend, Osgar, who gets magically teleported into the past where he comes across a Monster Hunter. After battling three monsters, Osgar help the Monster Hunter return to his camp and tend to his wounds, which leads to them making love.
Progress: Near Complete.
-Dream Inspirations: A Series where I attempt to recreate Locations and Scenarios that I have seen in my dreams, most of them with Artistic licence to make them relate to my other work.
Progress: Started
-Xenos of Interest: A Series of profiles of the Various species and Nation's within my Xenos series.
Progress: Started
-Sketches: Pieces of Art and doodles that I may do from time to time.
Progress: Ongoing
What I am yet to work on:
-Xenos: Pyongyang Roulette: A short Comic focusing on Krexax Richardson, as he competes in a campaign of Sexual Conquests with other Xenos against his former lover and Close Friend Kathari Alvie in the Cosmetropolis Pyongyang.
What I am planning on:
-Xenos: Of Lovers and Foriegners: A Comic set in a Galaxy based off of Stellaris, where Atrata Simu, an Ess'Jaggonian Researcher is invited to Earth to take part in a Federation-wide Research Initiative. Though his species general tendcy of leaning towards a more Xenophobic attitude, he is still forced to participate in the initiative, where he will be forced to work with other Xenos.
Ideas that I have:
-General Halo Art: Art that consists of character that are either from the Halo Universe or are created by myself that are based off of the Species available from Halo itself.
-An Untitled Halo Story: A Comic set after the events of Zealously together, focusing on Dyn's and Roha's relationship after the end of the "Human"-Covenant war.
-Dragon Master: A Comic about a Dragon Prince who is forced on an Avatar(The Last Air Bender)-esque quest to master different element of Nature through Various Master to be able to defeat a Powerful Dragon who has taken over the Kingdom through a Bloody Coup and plans to wreap chaos into the lands below. A way to to express my main Criticism of Avatar the Legend of Whorra by hopefully telling a more compelling and adult story with similar themes, that show entails, especially that of Homosexuality.
-A Dungeon Crawler Story: A Series/Comic where an adventure enters a dungeon where he is faced with super horny opponents. Based off of Carpetwurm's Excellent NSFW Dungeon Crawler, Thirstchasm.
-General Pokemon Art: Art that consists of creatures that are from Pokemon.
-General Dragon/Scalie Art: Art that consists of Characters that are Scalie in form.
-General Furries and Avian Art: Art that consists of character that are either Furries or Avain in form.
-An Untitled Sequel to A Stranger's Lark: A Comic set after the Events of a Stranger's Lark.
-General Game Art: Art that consists of character's, themes, events, location from Various games that I feel like drawing.
-Khristmas Kink: A Series where various of my character pose sexily on Christmas day. (It may be a reoccuring series I may do every year.
What I have done:
-A Redesign of the Galaxy: A redesign of the Galaxy that my Xenos series's will be set in. It will include a better description of all the Nations in the Galaxy, as well as an emphasis on the Decentralisation of the ICC (The Nation that represents Humanity) and the Centralisation of the Galactic Republic (The most powerful Federation in the Galaxy).
-Zealously Together: A Comic set during an invasion of a UNSC Planet. Dyn, one of Defender's of the planet, ends up being stuck in a Bomb Shelter with a Sangheili Zealot called Roha. Though they start being adversaries, Roha thanks Dyn for saving his life, and after a few days of being trapped together form a romance.
-Skirmisher's Revenge: A Series of Images where an Elite is punished by T'vaoan Pirates, as they believe the Covenant is to blame for their near exstinction during the fall of Reach.
-The Whore of Ba'Na Mortaria: A Series set after the events of Unfortunate Circumstances, where Atrata Simu, after being violated by the Jhabbanid guard, returns to nearby city where he allows himself to be used a sex object by the thirsty male population.
-New Year Romp: A Series where Krexax and Roha have a sexual encounter during their time together on New Year's.
-Unfortunate Circumstances: A Series where an Xeno Scientist finds an anomoly on a planet he is tasked with Observing, and decides to investigate it on foot, even though it is against legal procedure. Unfortunately the Anomoly turns out to be nothing more than a glitch in the system, and he has also been caught by a very Raunchy Guard from the local Xeno Settlement.
-Alone Time: A Series where Rane (Fluff-Kevlar's Character) Enjoys some "Alone Time" Up high in a supposedly abandoned Tower Block.
This has been a long one. I hope to get back to doing art more frequently. This is in my opinion a good step forward to doing that.
I hope to add to this and update this specific post like I did with the last one.
Anyways, hope you are doing fine, and I hope to see you in the next upload.
Cheers,

Idea's that I want to do: Clearing my head
Posted 5 years agoIn my last submission I mentioned I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to do on here. But I didn't really specify anything. But during work I had an idea of just listing ideas that I want to work on for definite. Just so I can have something to aim for.
Maybe it could be a form of motivation to get me to do more art, more frequently. Well at the very least I'll have my ideas written down instead of being trapped in my head.
How I'll structure this is by spliting the ideas into, What I am doing, What I am going to do, What I want to do, and stuff I'd like to do (i know the last two seem the exact same. But the former is more concrete than the latter). With each idea I'll explain what it is, and what I want to do with the idea (and with What I am doing section, what I have already done in it).
What I am doing:
-A Stranger's Lark: A series of my boyfriend, Osgar, being teleported into the past where he comes across a Monster Hunter battling three monsters. Osgar saves this Warrior by dragging him back to his hidden camp, after he was wounded battling the monsters. Osgar treats the Warrior's wounds, and then treats himself to the Warrior.
I have done 7 images as of writing this. I want to make at least 3 to 4 more images in series (3 comic like images and 1 image full image).
-Sketch's: It'll be doodles and drawings of various character's to help me improve my drawing skills. No plan, and no limit. This'll just be something I am gonna do.
-Dream Inspirations: A series of images where I recreate locations and scenarios from dreams that I have vivid memories of, similar to what H. G. Geiger did, though less fucked up than his (but there might be at most 2 images that contain Geiger's recognisable horror, the Xenomorph). This series will mostly be SFW stuff though I know that one will be NSFW image.
-Nation's of Interest: A series of designs about the many species and their nations in the Galaxy. It should be a large series even if I leave out the minor Nations. Each will come with SFW version (About the Nation and important elements) and a NSFW version (Of their kinky bits and nature)
What I am going to do:
-Xenos: Pyongyang Roulette: A short series of images set a few years before Of Lover's and Foriegner's. It takes place in Pyongyang, and involves Krexax Richardson and a variety of alien partners he has during his time in the Cosmo-Megapolis.
This series will be in a form of full images, and could be up to 10 images long. It'll be fairly similar to Zealously Together in structure.
-Xenos: the Origins of us: A short series set a few years before Of Lover's and Foriegner's. Atrata Simu has just joined the National Army of the GREJP (the Galactic Republic of Ess'Jaggonian Planets). He begins his cadet training on the New Colony on the Planet of Zyria IV. He feels somewhat isolated in his squad, but becomes close friends with a fellow. During a training excerise Atrata and his friend become isolated, and end up getting chased by an indigenous predator. The two take refuge in a mysterious ancient Ruin.
This series I want to do in comic form. It could possibly be upto 10 images long. I have still got to create a plan of how it is gonna play out.
More Stellaris Lore: A series of images identifying the various nation's in my Stellaris Galaxy.
What I want to do:
-Xenos: Of Lover's and Foriegner's: A series set in a Galaxy from Stellaris. It is about an Ess'Jaggonian Researcher, Atratta Simu, arriving on Earth as a part of a Federation-wide intiative to boost research in all the core fields. Atrata, coming from a fairly Xenophobic Nation, doesn't agree with the initiative but is forced to participate by his superiors. With his participation, he would have to work with many other Xenos from Member states of the Galactic Republic, including a surprisingly friendly Jhabbanid, Krexax Richardson, who he is partnered with.
This will mostly be a proper comic of mine, which could be 30+ images. I have a completed the plot, so this'll be an idea with an actual plan. This is a huge project however, and I want to work up to this series by building my confidence in my work rather than attempting it now, or the very near future.
Stuff I'd Like to do:
-An Untitle Halo Story: A Short series of Dyn and Roha after the events of Zealously Together. I haven't got an actual plan for this one. But I want to continue the story somewhat, and have more Deer on 'Lite action. It'd probably be a fairly short series, of 5 to 10 images.
-Custodian Blood Games: I did mention in my Dyn the Custodian piece, that I wanted to do one of some of the character's from the YouTube series, if the emperor had a text-to-speech device by Bruva Alfa Busa. There was an episode where the Emperor threatened to make Kitten (the Custodes that has been the Emperor's Caretaker) the target of the next Blood Games. Obviously referring to the Homosexual overtones (Because it is really over the top) that Kitten and the other Custodes have shown throughout the series. So I want to make that.
-Halo: I'd like to draw more Halo art, especially of Elites and Jackals.
-A Halo-Warhammer 40k fan-cross over: This is sort of an insane idea that I have had for quite a while. I have basics of what I want. But it is essentially of low priority. It is also a Non-Furry idea, so it probably would not fit in here really. We shall see if I want to do it still in the not so near future.
-Pokemon: I do like pokemon and certainly would like to draw some art of it. I have seen a lot of cool art of Pokemon that I like, and I want to join in on it.
-Dragons and Scalies: I like Scalies and would like to do stuff of them.
-non-alien furries and avians: I have noticed that I have focused heavily on Sci-Fi and aliens, so I want to amend that by making stuff of other furry and avians.
Dragon Master: A comic idea about a Dragon Prince/Princess who goes on a The Last Airbender-esque adventure to master the different elements of nature through various Dragon Masters. Basically a way to express my disapproval of Legend of Whora, by telling hopefully a more compelling story, with similar themes, whilst also doing better justice at telling a story of a Homosexual.
an Idea that I had after watching a few reviews rightfully tearing apart the Legend of Korra.
Done:
-A Redesign of the Galaxy: A redesign of the Galaxy that my Xenos series's will be set in. It will include a better description of all the Nations in the Galaxy, as well as an emphasis on the Decentralisation of the ICC (The Nation that represents Humanity) and the Centralisation of the Galactic Republic (The most powerful Federation in the Galaxy).
And that should be it. I might add some more ideas if they pop in my head, and if there anything that anyone wants to see me do on here, please leave a comment down below, or contact me via Notes or Telegram.
This is a bit of an odd one, but it'll at least make me feel better.
Anywhos, I'll hopefully see you all in an upload this weekend.
Cheers,

Big Numbers
Posted 5 years agoWow, I am super surprised over the reception of the four latest pieces. As of writing this Skirmisher's Revenge has reached 147 views and 6 Faves. That is crazy. I mean the first Unfortunate Circumstances from 3 months ago had reached 118 views with no faves. I was super proud of that. But now, wew, 147, 141, 98 and 93 views for the four latest images. Crickey.
Anyways not only those numbers have made me really happy but a couple of days ago I reach 5 watchers. 5 other people have said, "he's alright", and ostensibly subscribed to my tenth-rate art.
It is really pleases me that I am not just screaming into the void, and that there are other people that not only hear me but leave a fave, and/or a comment or even become a watcher. That just makes me want to continue. And I would like to thank you all for doing so. It means a lot to me.
As it's coming up to Christmas, I might do some Christmas related shit, especially now that I have more free time.
As I have said almost every post, I will be finishing the last posts of the Whore of Ba'Na Mortaria at some point. But don't be surprised if it doesn't get posted till next year. We'll see.
I am definitely going to do more in the new year, and thanks to my purchase of an XP-Pen during Black Friday, I will be a lot quicker, and hopefully more efficient with my work.
Anyways hope everyone has a great Christmas, and a happy New Year.
Cheers,

Posted 6 years agoI have been watching the statistics of my Unfortunate Circumstance piece for a month now. Waiting to see it reach 100 views.
Finally last night it has. I am so pleased with that. To see the traction towards my work is a HUGE motivator, and makes me feel less like I am screeching into the void.
I am currently working on the last of the Whore of Ba'Na Motaria series. After that I will be working on new Reference sheets for Atrata Simu, and one on a character called Krexax Richardson (He is a Xeno with a human surname).
The entire point of Unfortunate Circumstances and the Whore of Ba'Na Motaria was to flex those artists muscles of mine, and to get a good idea of character positioning and other techniques. I know my work is far from perfect, but I hope to improve as I continue on.
I have been planning a plot for a currently untitled comic about Atrata. It is very ambitious, as I have no control over my ideas. We'll see if I go anywhere with it.
Once again thank you for all your support, whether that be just viewing my work, leaving a fave, a watch or even a comment, it is all much appreciated.
With many thanks.
