experiment: faving one artwork per artist at a time
Posted 7 months agoDoing a small experiment where i fav only one artwork (at a time) per artist (ie. , because
1) the Favorites part of FA userpages only displays limited number of favs (maximum of latest 20 favs??) ... so want to have a variety of artists showing on my userpage because
1a) reminder to myself (in future) to fav more by the artists
1b) if anyone else looks at my userpage or Favourites ... hoping there will be a variety of artworks to inspire them to check out the artists' galleries.

Posted 2 years agoApologies, but this is driving me slightly crazy (because I'm not sure of the name of the comic ... and thus can't find it)
Comic might have been titled Skinners (but I can't seem to find it under that name), or perhaps with Skin in title.
There was a furry comic series (pretty sure it was at DeviantArt, and maybe FurAffinity).
Fairly sure if was by a furry artist (but probably a lesser known furry artist).
I think it was a world where people could put on an animal mask and the mask would transform the wearer into that animal (pretty sure tranformation into anthro-headed, with probably untransformed body).
I think if the wearer kept the mask on for too long the transformation became permanent.
I thought i had favorited it, but is not in my DA favourites.
Failed to find with DA searches such as:

which reminded me to see what parodies (John Queer) there are now.
1) The first design that comes to mind is deer with erection and handbag (i think it was made by This Ain't Kansas, a company that was sued or suffered some sort of legal threat ... and apparently closed after)

Posted 7 years agoSince some banners at FurAffinity do NOT include name of artist,
here are some examples of FA banners including artist name.
Sometimes some of us like an artist's banner so much that we save the image,
but sometimes forgot to include their username in the filename.
This is an attempt to offer artists an idea of banners by other artist that do include an artist name.
(hey ... if you are going to pay for advert space, might as well get more name recognition from that banner)
Stable-letters means when a name in is more than one frame, the name stays in the same position on the banner)

here are some examples of FA banners including artist name.
Sometimes some of us like an artist's banner so much that we save the image,
but sometimes forgot to include their username in the filename.
This is an attempt to offer artists an idea of banners by other artist that do include an artist name.
(hey ... if you are going to pay for advert space, might as well get more name recognition from that banner)

"Remember to claim the FREE update gift of 50 Daryl tokens!" "you can find it from the in-game gold shop" (I think the tokens go AWAY around September 16 if you don't claim them)
"New features: - Free daily radio calls ..."
Also, in the camp-view (ie main screen) the gold shop icon (bottom left corner)
is showing a "Free" in a green box, and when i tap on gold shop icon and go to the "Trade" tab ...
there is a "Silver Crate" that is "FREE" (and shops says "Restock in x h yy m" (6hours 59minutes or less) ...
I think the countdown begins (to the next restocking) AFTER the previous countdown has got to zero, AND AFTER you enter the trade shop.
(so that's about three restocks a day ... thus THREE FREE silver crates a day)
EDIT: and now the FREE item is 5 Gold (and not in a crate).
and yow ... in the (new) trade shop you can now buy radios, tokens and building crates (and more). Each restock seems to be a different selection. (example: first offering of tokens was Bruiser tokens and Warrior tokens ... and now is Jesus tokens, Scout tokens and Shooter tokens)
400 trade goods (aka crates) cost me 100K supplies (aka cans).
(10K trade goods being offered for 2.5 M supplies)
radios being sold for 600 trade goods (so if 3 radios are being sold they cost 1800 supplies ... and if 5 radios are being sold they cost 3000 supplies )

Posted 9 years agoA couple of days ago I started a furry guild on the video game The Walking Dead: No Man's Land.
guild's name is: furrySurvivors2
because
1) "Furry Survivors" guild is the largest (almost at maximum size) and an attempt to join result in "The guild has too many join requests and can't be joined at the moment".
2) length of guild name limited to 16 characters.
Hope others will join me.
EDIT Sept 20: 4 challenges played so far (3 days left for that 4th challenge) with 21 stars in current challenge and 272 total stars
(so average of 83.67 stars for first three challenges).
First guild reward for each challenge is 30 stars, so (on Sept 20) the guild is only nine stars away from first reward of one radio (everyone in the guild gets the guild rewards ... in addition to the regular personal rewards).
Next guild rewards at 90 stars (reward one radio)
and 300 stars.
(I use my trade goods to buy radios to recruit more characters or upgrade my current characters.)

(apparently the maximum size of a guild is 20. I checked the top guilds worldwide and all of them seem to have a cap of 20.)
EDIT (Aug 28): Attempts to join various guilds were unsuccessful (see below). Thinking of starting a guild, but wanted to name it "furry survivors w/ EarthFur", but length limit is 15 characters (so I can't even do "furry survivors2" which is 16 characters).
