I realized I never updated FA whoooops I posted this on my twitter so long ago

I got a full time job in September! It's fucking awesome! But because of this, I've closed commissions for the time being and there is no guarantee if/when I will reopen them, as a job takes up SO much time boy howdy

Huge thank you to everyone for supporting me over the years! I've been freelancing for 5 years and I feel immensely grateful to have been able to do so for so long :] I'll still be posting art and stuff of course.~

Laptop Died. :(

just a lil update, comm progress is slower because my laptop died, through no fault of my own (I spilled an entire cup of tea on it sure, but I dont see why that matters in this situation 🧐)

even the hard drive was cooked. so none of my files could be saved. all of my commission info was on there so I am quite sad. I also had my posting information there so i dont rly know what i have and havent posted yet. and as well as the fact I will have to probably spend around 1k for another laptop :( could probs find one cheaper but I want them to last long. this guy was like 2k and he lasted me almost 7 years, still in amazing shape until I murdered him

also its EXAM WEEK.

anyway. im sad and my shit is gone, im working with what I can to get stuff done. bear with me 😭🧸

Currency Change Notice

Hello friends,

I'm going to start charging in CAD prices instead of USD. These will look higher than USD prices, but they're staying more or less the same (rounding makes it sliiightly different).
My commission info has been updated, and I'm working on updating anything else that I've missed.

I've also added a lil chart to help understand my prices in USD terms in my commissions tab. I will post it here as well:
$7-13 cad = $5-10 usd
$32-38 cad = $25-30 usd
$44-50 cad = $35-40 usd
$56-63 cad = $45-50 usd
$69-75 cad = $55-60 usd
$81-87 cad = $65-70 usd

Price Updates

Within the past week I found out that I'm moving. Twice. In one year. I have to quit my job, and go back to school.

This is.. really crazy for me. I need to update my prices because I'm going to have to rely on commissions for a while. Everybody on my waiting list currently will get previous prices.

My prices have been updated to ensure that, after the paypal fees and taxes, I am making minimum wage or above and can more or less sustain myself monthly. Gah. Aaa. God, school is expensive.

im trying to quit my shitty job so ive updated my prices a bit and cleaned up my commission tab, which hopefully makes it less confusing. i need to get on to making a price sheet eventually, but for now. yeah

also i've started to use my twitter more! i ramble a lot, sometimes post stuff i dont post here. its @ east_craven if u wanna give it a looksie. eastcraven was taken by a suspended account >:/

Some Small Updates

Hello friends. Just thinking about some stuff, might as well post







1. Commission Prices
I made some tweaks again, and will probably continue to do so. I've been taking commissions for about a year now, so I'm 

definitely still learning how to properly price + display commission types. Do I even need to update journals when I update prices? I'm not sure. But ya



2. Trello Updates
I always feel CRAZY anxious whenever I don't get a commission done immediately, which I know is ridiculous, considering that if I want something to look good, I'm gonna spend time on it. 

So I've decided to start updating my trello whenever I work on art. So now you can see updates whenever I manage to find time to work on it. 

I think it's neat! And it makes me feel better/less anxious, I like being more transparent. So yay.

3. Inktober Raffle
I thought this might have been obvious, but I'll state it here: the word/phrase that people can enter when they enter my raffle might not be exactly what I choose to draw. 

This goes especially for the words from the official prompt list. 

I'm finding that many words are preferred over others, and there are some characters that look like they'd fit a different word better. 

I'm using a mix of find-in-page and random number generator to find winners, so. In short, the word you choose may not be the one I end up going with. 

I think it's still fair, since it's still free art, and more people get more chances if the day they chose had passed.

Also, if you want to join my raffle, there is PLENTY of time left! It will be open to enter until mid/end October.







Anyway, hope that all made sense. LMK if it was entirely unnecessary, or if y'all like these little updates. I am a rambly person. NYEH!

hi hi hi friends

I feel bad for not posting regularly anymore rip. I haven't drawn anything in weeks, I've been so purposeless after graduating lmao, all I've been doing is playing breath of the wild all day and all night. I've also been having a lot of upkeep crap to do, I have to get my wisdom teeth out, wahhhh

Anyway yah I haven't been drawing but I hope to get back to it soon...... I didn't go to art school for nothing i s2g lmfao.

I swear I'll post more than one thing every week and a half eventually. Mental health is hard to manage. Hope you all are doing well, though. ~ <3

Shinies!?!

What do y'all think of this new feature? I think it's SO NEAT and I'm glad that I'm not missing out by not having a ko-fi anymore!

I was thinking about making small shiny commissions. Like, u get a chibi or something for a shiny. Not like a full commission type, just as a thank you for tipping.

I'm excited about this update! ^^

Also yes, the last raffle result is DONE and it's awesome and I love it, I've just been delaying on posting it. I love it so much it's in my Professional Real Adult Portfolio lol. Yay!

About The Raffle

Hello friends!!



I left this info in a comment on the post, but might as well put it here.

I went to bed immediately after closing the raffle, so ill run the generator this week. i might go with running one winner, drawing it, then running the next when im done.



My best art comes from when i feel like drawing, so i want these to turn out good, so I might just run the generators when im in the mood to draw.

Ill be replying to the comments who've won, and of course posting the complete pieces within the month.



Im quite busy with life, so I apologize in advance if these come slowly. I want them to turn out good. I'm working towards building my art skills and having a stronger portfolio, rather than just pumping out work. I want them to be good quality, the best I can make them, even if I'm not getting paid to draw them.



I hope y'all understand and can be patient with me while I pick the winners and get the results done.

I hate organizing my folders on here

why the HECK do they REFUSE to not sort properly this is MY house and i am being HARRASSED

literally all I want is for Alex to be first under Characters, and for Other Characters to be last thats literally IT and thats too much to ask ;o;

Are there any work arounds with this?!?? Archie keeps clipping to the bottom and I dont want her to be last :(

General
~ By commissioning me, you are agreeing to my T.O.S
~ I offer commissions for private/personal use only. Commissioners cannot resell my artwork in any way, shape, or form, ex. prints, merchandise, NFTs, ect.
~ Professionalism is important. Small talk is alright, but please do not expect me to have conversations unrelated to our project
~ I require your PayPal email address
~ Please have a reference image of your character! Traditional references are fine, as long as they're relatively clear, and you have a colour reference
~ Custom characters without any image refs may have an extra charge
~ Feel free to include any photo references for characters, clothing, props, moods and poses necessary! Otherwise, please be detailed about what you'd like to see.
~ I won't do multiple completely different sketches if you have trouble deciding on what you'd like. Please be very clear before I start sketching! Edits that don't change the whole piece entirely are okay.
~ I don't begin rendering until the sketch is approved
~ Extra versions will have a $7 CAD charge (different colour/slight line change versions of the same picture)
~ **SAVE THE FINISHED ARTWORK WHEN I SEND IT TO YOU!** I clean out my dropbox every so often, so ALL dropbox files/links are temporary.

Process and Turnaround
~ I only start working after full payment or partial payment
~ Communication must occur at a reasonable pace. If you are sent an invoice and do not fulfill it within a week (unless agreed upon otherwise), I will cancel the commission
~ With partial payment, I will not start working on the final rendering until paid in full, but will still produce sketches.
~ After I send you the first WIP, you can make any edits you'd like. There is a maximum of 3 passes.
~ After you approve the sketch, there will be no more edits, unless it is the fault of the artist. If you'd like to make an edit after a piece is finished, there is a $7 CAD charge
~ My turnaround time varies. Life can get in the way. I usually take 1-3 weeks, depending on project
~ I can email final pieces upon request

Payment and Refunds
~ I only accept PayPal
~ My prices are always in CAD
~ Refunds depend on how much work was done. Once the piece is finished, artwork is non-refundable.
~ Wings, complex characters, and props might require an extra charge. Ask if you're not sure!

Artist's Rights
~ I can cancel a commission at any time, for any reason. Refund will be issued depending on amount of work completed.
~ I retain full rights to the image (not the characters depicted in the image, just the art). I reserve the right to post, distribute, copy, and reproduce the commissioned work, for commercial, promotional, or personal purposes. If you have specified you do not want your work posted, I will not use it for promotional use. However, I retain the right to post it in my gallery.
~ I am not obligated to post your commission

Commissioner Rights
~ You may cancel a commission at any time before completion. (See Refund section)
~ All commission inquiries will be confidential, but I usually tag the commissioner when posting artwork. Please specify if you would rather remain anonymous if the artwork is posted online.
~ You are free to post any commission done for you to a personal/public gallery so long as credit is provided.
~ You may crop or edit the art done for you to use in icons, banners, etc. as long as you do not take credit for the work. For example, if you are using it as an icon you are not required to write credit in your bio, but you cannot claim the artwork as yours
~ You have permission to make prints/copies of the image so long as it is for personal use only and no profit is made.
~ You may make edits to the final work yourself, SO LONG AS you do not take credit for the whole piece. Ex. text edits on top of a finished piece is fine, but drawing on top of my work and claiming it as yours is not.
~ You MAY NOT sell the work or copies of the work you commission from me, unless you are selling it along with an original character and other pieces of art. In which case, my terms of service still apply to the new owner of the character.
~ You may NOT affiliate my art with any NFTs in any way.
~ You may NOT remove my signature or watermark in any way.

Raffle Rules
~ Since the piece is free, all rights belong to me
~ You may repost the work, as long as it is watermarked, and proper credit is given
~ Raffle prizes may not be sold, printed, copied, or edited, unless given permission by myself
~ I retain the right to edit, distribute, and post the piece elsewhere

ETA is 1-4 weeks, depending on my workload. My trello is consistently updated with progress. You can also see the timeframes in which I've completed other commissions.

More detailed info on status + pending drawings on my Trello!
The more items on my trello, the longer the wait time.

If my commissions are closed, feel free to reach out for an ETA or quote! I usually keep a waiting list, you can ask to be put onto it so that I can reach out to you when I'm open for commissions again.
