It's me, I've finally returned (mostly)! I'm too sleepy to make any detailed announcements just yet, but I'll just let you guys know that I'll start being more active online from now on, and that commissions will be opening soon. I have to finish rethinking my prices and writing up my official Terms of Service (since the last time I actually accepted payment from a commission was 2 years ago), and I need to contact a few people who I had already promised a commission slot to a few months to a year ago.

(Geez it's been a while, hasn't it?)

So, don't send me any new commission requests just yet. Once I've decided how many commission slots I want, I'll make the announcement on FA and Twitter, and you can message me either there or here to claim one. I also have a bit of a plan to pay back the people who supported me on Patreon with overdue sketches and such, so I'll be keeping you up to date on that as well.

There might be a few more delays with my return now, since Hurricane Florence is heading directly towards NC, where I live. I'm currently gathering supplies and preparing myself, because there's a chance that my new home might be destroyed on Thursday. Which would be exactly 1 month and 1 week since I first moved in. Irony likes to kick me in face sometimes. >_>

This is not a joke. The weather reports are saying that we could get some intense winds and historic heavy rains, so I'd consider myself lucky if only the windows were broken when I returned next week to check the damage. And that's not considering the power and water outrages as well, which could last for weeks or months if the damage is bad enough.

Once it all goes down, I'll try to post updates whenever I can on twitter (https://twitter.com/EccentricNoodle) to let everyone know that I'm doing okay.

Hoping for the best, and I hope everyone else makes it through okay as well.

The ants have finally been obliterated from my home...but last week my computer crashed and gave me a "unmountable boot volume" error...I tried so many things to fix it, but I think my laptop's hard drive is finally RIP. I managed to save my important data, and I'm currently in the process of buying a solid state drive for my laptop as a replacement.

Finally got in my new place, and the water and internet is up as well! I'm currently sorting through piles of clothes and papers and other things at the moment, so it might take a while to get situated, but I just wanted to give everyone an update on my current condition! Also, new sketches incoming!

EDIT: Journal log #420, Currently at war with Ant Army...they launched an all-out assault on my kitchen sink and refrigerator, but my Clorox offensive managed to rout them. Called in Raid for reinforcements, hopefully they'll be in tomorrow to defeat the insect menace...

(Try saying that one five times fast. XD)

Okay, I'm not quite "officially" back online yet (since I don't know how long I'll be here before I move), but I worked out a deal with my dad after my mom kinda acted as a mediator between us. So, I'm currently back with him for a short time while my mom is helping me look for a new place. Things are a bit better after me and my dad talked, but I'm still planning to move out, hopefully within the next few weeks.

We've actually found a nice place already too, so me and my mom are starting the application process. Depending on how long that takes (and if the owner accepts it), I'll likely go offline again soon while Centurylink is transferring my internet service to my new place.

Until then, give me a bit more time while I finish that overdue commission (I kinda didn't expect to be back online so soon or even able to focus on drawing for a bit, since I basically threw all my belongings into a mostly disorganized mess in my car when I got kicked out last week, and my internet service was still at my dad's place)...

Also, I'll be posting a few more sketches to tide you guys over for a bit, and I have two more Toon World sketches in the works as well as my warm-up/cool down/relaxation time between overdue commission work, so you'll see that soon as well.

Also faves incoming later today as well (God, I keep putting things off so much lately...). I'll try to keep regular updates on Twitter and through friends if I happen to go offline soon.

So, I had a bit of an argument with my father (irl family issues, he's kinda abused me for years), and I kinda got kicked out of the house after finally standing up to him. It was simultaneously the most cathartic and hilarious thing I had ever experienced, and I'm not sorry I told him off at all after years of listening to his crap.

I'm currently talking with my mom so I can get my own place, so I might end up without internet for a little while until the next time I get a connection. That's the bad news.

The good news is, it's likely that I'll be taking commissions the moment I return, since the extra income will help me get situated in my new place. I'm of the type who would much rather earn the money I receive (and I enjoy drawing for people), so keep an eye out for that soon. ^_^ I'll try to keep everyone updated via texts messages with  arcaxon until I get back online, but until then, I hope everyone's doing well, and I'll draw more for you soon!

The number of submissions from watchers that I have to go through is too high...I can't do it.

Literally (Not a joke), it's currently at 61,196. 61,196 submissions from my watchers. That is not a joke...it IS extremely funny though, because either I've fallen though a wormhole these past 2 years, or my 423 watchers are some incredibly diligent and impressively creative people. XD I'm definitely betting on the later, though I can't completely dismiss the prior considering how it feels like I 'Rip Van Wrinkled' 2 years of my life away in an instant.

Of course, as awesomely impressive as this is, it also means that there's literally no way I could ever go through all of my overdue submissions...

Sooo, unfortunately, what I plan to do is just nuke the whole bunch and just go through people's galleries one by one, focusing primarily on people whose art I'm particularly fond of, and then moving on to other people in my watchlist. I hate to admit that I won't be able to comment or fave everything that some of my friends have posted (partly because I don't want to overwhelm people with 20-30+ comments and 100+ faves all from the same person. And partly because...well...it's a lot of time-consuming effort to take on when I already have a lot of irl obligations at the moment).

If possible, I would love to show my support to friends and other artists without feeling obligated to comment and fave every single thing they ever posted. I care about you guys, but it just seems like overkill for both me and you. As someone who is trying to get back into the spirit of replying to comments on my own art, I already know that it can be a challenge trying to work through dozens of replies all at once.

So, keep an eye out for some of my comments and faves, because I'll likely be combing through a bunch of artists' galleries sometime soon!

Heya, I hope everyone's doing well! I'm still alive and hanging in there, and still making plans for some very interesting projects for the near future. Despite some tooth pain and various bits of drama at home, progress has been made, and I'm nearly caught up on my overdue work. I just have one super overdue comic commission and the Winter Wonderland group TF (also super overdue) to finish, so those will be done soon.

I actually don't have much to say at the moment. I really just want to start doing stuff to make this account a bit more active again. It's surprisingly difficult to get back into the habit of posting and commenting after being offline for so long, but any little progress I can make is good, I think. The important thing is just finding the energy to get started. Sorry about my delays everyone, EC.exe is just behind on a few updates. ^_^;

Hello, everyone. It's been a while since the last time I was active online. There's been a lot of stuff happening irl that I'd been struggling with for a while that brought about my haitus again. Besides the usual bills, mental health concerns, and family stress, I also managed to get a new job cleaning floors at the local grocery store. To be bluntly honest, I'd been trying to save up to pay for therapy and anxiety medication, but things didn't quite work out and kinda spiraled downward from there.

And all of that kinda collided with my responsibilities online, and the mounting stress brought about another breakdown. Still...not really a suitable excuse for my disappearance.

I'm so sorry for being away for so long, guys. Especially sorry to the people who worried about me and to the people to whom I owed commissions. It was unprofessional, and I ended up feeling so guilty for letting myself get overwhelmed and shutting down that, for the longest time, I was feeling intimidated about even coming back and writing this journal, because I knew I'd have to face deserved confrontations from people who were rightfully upset with me.

I'm just tired of being known for this kind of stuff. So, I want to start setting some things right:

So What About Commissions And The Raffle?

First off, even though I'm officially back, commissions will be CLOSED for a little while. One of the major reasons why I got overwhelmed before was because of my bad habit of taking on too much at one time. So, I'm going to focus the next few weeks on clearing up all of my overdue paid commissions and as much of my owed art as possible. I'm so sorry for the delay. I'll be sending each of my commissioners a note as soon as possible once I've made suitable progress on their commissions, or if I have any questions regarding what they wanted me to draw. If they want refunds, I'll still finish their art and then work towards paying them back once I'm able to take new commissions. I’ve already finished most of my overdue commissions, so I just have a few more to do before I'll be completely clear for the first time in years.

So, just to clarify: I'm not taking commissions for the time being, so please hold off on sending me notes for commissions until I make the official announcement that I'm taking them again.

Also--and I know that some people will be upset to hear it--but I'll be resetting my commission queue and starting fresh with a restricted number of available slots at some point in the future. I want to reset partly because I don't know if those people currently on my commission list would even still be interested at this point, and partly because I feel like it would be an insult to them if I suddenly popped up asking them about a commission they wanted months ago, even more so if I even implied payment.

Also, my apologies for the delay with the Winter Raffle. I'm already about halfway done, and I'll have it completed soon once I've cleared my overdue commission queue.

What About Patreon Supporters?

As for Patreon, I'll be temporarily pausing it so I can do a complete reworking of it. The people who've already supported me on Patreon will get all the sketches they deserve (I've built up a decent backlog of owed art). I haven't decided yet, but maybe I'll do an art-slave stream or something similar to give them a lump sum of all the art they should've gotten sooner, so just note me with your ideas, and I'll figure something out.

Sorry I've been away for a bit. I'm still slightly burned out from sickness and lack of sleep, but I'm recovering nicely.

Just wanted to post this journal both as a well-wishing for everyone, and as a sort of announcement as well (some of which may or may not count as part of my new years resolutions).


First, I want to finally clear my list of overdue and forgotten projects and commissions. Regrettably, I have to admit that things have been so weird, cluttered, and almost disjointed for me over the past year or so--especially considering my breakdown and falling off the internet a few months back--that it's become almost disturbingly easy to lose track of all the important things I need to do. And for that, I apologize for keeping everyone (and especially certain people still waiting for art from me) waiting. In this new year, it's going to be my official goal to finally break these habits once and for all.

And hopefully, once some of these lingering issues have finally been resolved, I'll be able to take it easy and be a bit more active online as well. Rest assured, this year will be a better year for me if I can help it. ^_^

With that in mind, we come to my super overdue Christmas Raffle from 2015 that I kept saying that I'd do. Well...we're doing that right now. Yep, right now...or rather, in a few hours from now. :) And here are the rules:

--The Winter Season Raffle will officially start in a short while, once I post up the updated sketch plans. The original sketch plans from a year ago with 45 slots (all claimed) will carry over into the new plans unless one of those people wants to change the character they picked for their slot or decide to grab a different slot instead.

--The new updated sketch plans will have a total of 70 slots, so some of my more recent watchers can have a chance to get involved. To claim a slot, you must comment on the submission with the number of the slot AND a link to your character ref. The first person who claims a slot will take it, so make sure you're ready when it starts.

--I'll be taking my time with this one, but I'll be working to have the entire thing done by the end of the month (and I'll probably work on this a bit in a future stream as well.)

--Only watchers can comment and claim a slot. I'm really sorry about that, but this Group TF was always meant to be a sort of thanks to everyone for the wonderful year of support.

And finally...one thing that I know I need to do more of is interact with people online more. It's sad to say, but whenever I'm stuck dealing with some issue, my first and foremost impulse has always been to shrink away into my own little safe place and struggle with it on my own. Despite this, I do understand that having others to lean on, talk to, and even have fun with usually turns out MUCH better in the long run. So, I'm making my move to Discord official now, and I'll probably either start hitting some chat groups or setting up one of my own. I doubt I can manage having more than a few friends on my Discord right now (I'm basically a hermit at the moment, and I don't RP anymore like I used to), so I'm sorry to say that--at least for the moment--I likely won't be accepting any friend requests beyond the few people on my personal Skype.

I will be looking into joining or creating a chat group soon though, so if you want to chat with me, hopefully we'll either get to do it there, or you can note me and visit one of my future streams. Honestly, I wouldn't be above a Game session or something too, but who knows. I actually don't know where I should start with that, but I'll try to figure it out as we go along. ^_^

So, Hurricane Matthew came and went, and I'm super relieved that it veered off course before the worst of it reached my area in North Carolina...though we didn't get off without a scratch through. Power went down for a while, several parts of town got REALLY flooded (like, I don't think anyone's gonna be eating at Pizza Hut for a while unless they have access to rain boots and a small boat...), and we ended up spending the past couple of days clearing the debris from the yard and picking up all the junk on our porch that got blown around.

Hey there, everyone. It's been another while since I vanished from the internet, but I'm finally back again, a little bit stronger and with a different point of view on things.

First off, I think I owe everyone, especially my commissioners, a HUGE apology for my disappearance. I've already finished most of my current commissions now, and after I post this journal I'll be getting in touch with those commissioners whose work I've finished now. For some of my commissioners I plan to give a refund as well, one in particular whom I've kept waiting for WAAY too long on their comic TF sequence.

Okay, let's start with the basics. A few months back, I had a mental breakdown and had to leave the internet for a while.

I was hanging on for a good while, but (as I'm sure some of my friends already knew) I was under a lot of stress and frustration, both online and irl...a lot of which, in retrospect, was partly because of my unwillingness to make a decision on certain things and people, and also because of my frustration with my own slow development as an artist. On that note, I guess I kinda reached the peak of my skill doing what I was doing, so it took something a lot more drastic to improve beyond that point. So much time spent obsessing over editting and re-editting my art, it's all too easy to get too wrapped up in your current imperfections.

Plus, my self-imposed obsession with trying to make everyone happy with art only succeeded in making me frustrated instead.

In any case, everything kinda wore me down over time, and then a event irl involving a family issue finally broke me. Again, I apologize for it, but I just couldn't bring myself to be online for a bit. And as much as I hate to admit it, I was a bit of a suicide risk as well for a while, and I ended up having to talk with some people and learn some meditation techniques to start getting that cleared up.

I've told people this before, but I've had serious anxiety issues for the longest time, and those issues have recently made it painfully difficult for me to function in public without getting irrationally nervous, stiff, and just plain terrified of being around other people. And I'm still not on medication yet, but hopefully that'll change soon. Of course, I don't like talking publicly about things like this, partly because I don't want people to worry about me. And partly because I genuinely liked the idea of being a more positive force in our small community.

I'm doing much better now, but I've been sort of afraid to get back online for the past few weeks to be honest. I know that there's a lot of disappointed people that I have to apologize to, and again, a few commissions that I need to get through. I'm not proud to admit that there are a few super late commissions that I'll definitely finish and give refunds for as well, just because of how long it's taken me to finish them.

As a disclaimer, I'm not trying to make people feel sorry for me. In fact, I really don't want them to. To be honest, I admit that I've found myself wanting people to feel sorry for me in the past...but now I kinda realize that that's just reinforcing the weaknesses and the escapist attitude that led to my breakdown in the first place. I want to be stronger than that, and I want to draw and talk with friends and make others happy as well.

But...I don't want to overwhelm myself with stress and drama and an overlong work list anymore. So, I'll likely be laying off on gift art for the most part for the time being. Moreover, I'm STILL planning to finish that Christmas raffle group TF pic (Again, I'm So sorry about the delay with that...), and until that and my other overdue projects are done, I'll be canceling this year's End of Year Raffle celebration. Sorry, but I want to have EVERYTHING caught up before the end of the year, so for the most part I'll only be taking on my own ideas and commissions for the time being.

And since I owe a few people refunds, I'll be taking most of the money I make from upcoming commissions and putting it towards giving those people their money back. I've also applied for a job very recently and finished the interview a few days ago, so if I get that job I may be able to pay back those commissioners even sooner.

That said, not everything's grim and somber, as I have a nice chunk of art to post! It's mostly just finished commissions and work done while I was obsessively training my skills, but there's deifnitely plenty to see though. I've even started work on some game ideas as well, so we'll see how that develops over time! So, things are slowly getting back on track, I'm feeling stronger and I'm working on a lot of things that I think everyone will be happy to see.

I really hope everyone has been doing well, and while I'm extremely sorry for having to leave, I'm several times more happy to finally be back now. ^_^

Hey, I hope everyone is doing well!

So, I normally like to listen to music while drawing, since it always gets me super-hyped and gets my creativity kick-started as well!

But...my current music list for drawing is getting a bit stale, and usually I try to check online for anything good (because listening to new music that interests me usually gives me an extra boost of energy and determination while drawing!)

So, do you guys have any suggestions for music to art to? And what kind of music do you listen to to help you focus (if you do listen to music)?
