back from reading festival
General | Posted 18 years agook reading was amazing. got there wednesday queued up for ages but got in just after lunch and found our tent place, got rather tipsy, at some point got my band (green!!!) but dont remember, apparently fell over straight after, but after that bought chinese for supper (do remember that).
thursday more people arrived, i got with a random 23 year old called sam for like 3 hours, got VERY drunk gave free hugs neck kisses etc. only got kidnapped 4 times! haha.
friday woke up to be told i had apparently puked up the day before, the time they said i did it i was still sober so that was a big lie, but anywho.
saw Gogol Bordello (funny!!) Maximo Park (very good i like now) and Ash<3(they are awesome only band that day i properly watched who i knew and their main guy looks like david tennant!) also went on this big spinny ride which was so funny when drunk because everything was spinny anyways! XD
Saturday was cool, saw Panic!(what i like them...) Bloc Party (very good music and also never really listened to them before so was interesting) Arcade Fire (different, entertaining, fun to watch, wouldnt listen to them normally tho) and of course Red Hot Chili Peppers (awesome, first time i have seen them live but people who had seen them before said they werent as good as normal :O so they must be amazing normally! shame they played so much of their new album, i dont really know that as well) got back drunk had good chats with people then had to look after a friend who was puking loads... no one really being to helpful then which was annoying.
Sunday, Gym class heros (ruined good vibrations, wanted to be too gangsta) hellogoodbye (worth it for the humour alone) at this point i went to see a comedian for a while who was hilarious can't remember his name but now hosts never mind the buzzcocks, Fall Out Boy (now i dont like them but if you change the lyrics they sing about pokemon the whole time so its quite funny) Lost Prophets (amazing, best thing i heard all weekend, got the crowd moving [took a while there were some dead sticks in the crowd if you know what i mean] most people he had ever seen jumping at once, and the biggest circle run thingie too so ended up in the middle at the front from all the movements, had been at the front mainly anyways but moved into the middle which made it better, between two hot-topless guys which was good!) CSS (well 2 songs of theirs, wasn't my kinda thing and the tent was too hot...)
stayed up most of the night and when i tried to get 2 hours sleep there was a group of people beating steel bins with sticks trying to do some sort of drum band thing so we stole their bins and use them to contain our fires. i am now even more tanned and i have to go back to school wednesday evening... *cry*

back from america
General | Posted 18 years agowell i am now back from my week in North Carolina as most of you should have noticed. Anyways, i am only going to give a brief overview of what it was like as i am going to do a sort of fly-on-the-wall prose piece thats going to be highly detailed about it, it may either look at certain times during it, certain people there or just take dribs and drabs as it comes. i tried thinking about it in my head and i just wanted to pack more and more in. so that will follow soonish.
Overview. you already heard about DC so i shall skip that, sunday morning up for 7 15 departure and a long drive to Corolla, stopping before the bridge to the island to pick up about $280 of farm produce at a market we saw. that day there were only to be 11 of us, and the last 6 to arrive early the next day. I went with my friend brie 17, her brother 15 and sister 12, her parents her dad's brother (plus wife and two sons, 6 and 10) and her dad's mother arrived that day. her mum's sister (and her husband and son 18 and daughter 16 plus the daughter's boyfriend 19) and her mum's dad made up all 17 of us. house on the beach all the 5 teens in one room brie's sister with the grandma, brother with the grandfather, the two young boys took a room so rooms were easy enough slightly cramped for all us teens on bunkbeds. there was a pool and a jacuzi, we were right on the beech and the weather was boiling every day apart from a storm on friday from 1am till 6 30am. we spent most days on the beach, or playing cards (either ways we were drinking loads!!!) went jetskiing one day. it was just an awesome trip. i loved brie's aunt Erin and grandmother June, they were my drinking and card buddies. me and june won $50 each in bets off of erin due to cards. hilarious fun. the whole family you could talk to about anything. Caroline (the 16yr old) was cool, her boyfriend Toni was fascinated by me as i was the first non american he had ever met! XD her brother Nick was SO hot. but anyways. damn his straightness. funny anecdote about him anyway but i shall keep that for anyone who asks. i loved it there wish i was still there but me and Erin and her husband and Nick, Caroline and Toni all had our flights back on saturday so its been rather split up now... June was sad to see her drinking partners leave but she lives down in Florida near Erin and her kids so it should be fine. i should go out and visit some time... flight home was terrible. we landed 20 mins early got stuck on the runway as there was nowhere to park for 2 and a bit hours, and BA managed to lose my bag somewhere along the way, so i have lost loads of clothes and stuff, my contacts, my tennis racket, my sunglasses, a really nice suitcase that i use for school and also all the stuff in my washbag, including rather essential supplies. damn my extra Reading Festival fun is ruined...
sorry that was longer than intended but the trip was awesome and BA have aggravated me...

between wells and corolla
General | Posted 18 years agogot back from wells on thursday, latin camp, ten days of latin, lots of socialising, lots of drinking, lots of fun!
this week i am doing workworkwork and my mother is being a bitchbitchbitch. every time i stop working for longer than a minute she is screaming at me. then when i am getting into the swing of writing and am flowing nicely she stops me so that i can help her do something ridiculous and menial. if she could make up her mind i would be happy. keeps threatening me with shit like not letting me go to reading (which i paid for) and america (which my friend is taking me to so its none of her shit).
anyways, if i manage i am off to america on saturday and am away for a week
reading festival on the 23rd till 28th awesome
then back to school like 29th i think.
god i cant wait to get away from her but anyways, my sister is in New Zealand for a year working for some sports management firm. i wish i was somewhere nice and away from the stress of parents.
2522 words done of extended essay, need to finish that tomorrow so i can go out tuesday to see binflaggle

yes
General | Posted 18 years agoyes. i live. i breathe. i am actually still around. but as with the horror of being at boarding school i am only ever on school internet so i am never quite sure whether i should come on here or not since it might freak out the IT department if they ever bother to stop playing halo 2 and get down to checking up on us.
so yes. i apologise and still love you all.
Other things:
One of my friend's boyfriends proposed sex upon me last week i assumed as a joke since he is straight and going out with my friend. it wasnt until he tried dragging me into a service station bathroom cubicle did i see he wasnt kidding. i have done nothing as i am innocent and good (surprising isnt it)
Looked round Warwick Uni today. was nice but i think i prefer Oxford Uni still.
I may try something with Tommy if i have enough courage on monday. i am bored of not knowing where i stand.
Having a shit time atm, just thinking back over past errors in relationships. not sure why but it sure isnt fun.
exams start in 2 weeks and 2 days. kill me now...
