A Confession
Posted 15 years agoI'm a lurker. A big, fat, smelly lurker (actually, I'm a short, skinny, uses-too-much-lavender-bath-salts lurker, but you get the idea).
This is mainly because I am terrified to say anything to the artists I like. I am incredibly shy, even online. It doesn't help that I tend to get these little fangirl-crushes on various artists. And I don't favorite without commenting (a habit left over from DeviantArt) so I wind up not faving 'cause I'm too shy to comment on a particular artist's awesome-ness.
That, and I have no coherent way OF commenting. It either winds up being a big mess of terrifying gushing (HOLYCRAPIWANTTOMARRYYOURARTDROOLDROOL) or very simple (This is beautiful!). The simple works well, and I mean every word, but sorta wish I could convey my love for their art in a less creepy, fangirl-y way.
I shall have to think on this, and cure my lurking ways.

A brief, not particularly interesting observation/mini rant
Posted 16 years agoI click on the "buddy list" thingamajig and find that there can be more than one thousand "buddies". A "buddy" is apparently a mutual watcher (I'm learning slowly, but surely). How can one have that many "buddies"? I can't even keep track of my real life friends, of which I have (counts on fingers) five.
It's a bit like the friends option on MySpace or FaceBook, I assume. Ugh, I will never understand the social aspects of the internet. It's make me feel like a hermit. A cranky, technologically inept hermit.
