So I just went through a big life change and I am now a parent of a 3 year old!!
I'm feeling a lot of emotions about it, obviously. But I wanted to let you guys know that it happened. This does mean that things will slow down with my art and I will not have it all done within any kind of time frame. Luckily I only owe free art right now.

I will still be somewhat active on here but it's going to be a lot less while i figure out how to take care of a kid.....

So I drew the first one a little over a year ago in 2016. I was really proud of it at the time and I still am in some ways. However, seeing progress is one of the best things that an artist can experience.

Study Anantomy

When I first started drawing I fought the most common advice, study anatomy. Eventually, I did give in and I think you can really see it in this picture. The biggest change is probably the anatomy. I can see the one I did recently is a lot more accurate. Part of the reason I got better with anatomy is my references. I used to base my poses off of cute anime art that I love. Now, I only use live photography. With Google I have access to an endless supply of live photography. I am still studying anatomy, but now I enjoy it because I can see the difference in my work!

Line Art

I can also see that my line art is thinner and smoother than the first one. That took awhile to cultivate. I used to do thicker line art because I really couldn’t tell what I was doing and I didn’t have any finesse for defining muscles. As I got better with my anatomy and more confident with my line strokes I started using thinner lines. I wanted to achieve that because it helps with the style of my art looking closer to my ideal. I read a lot about line art in regards to making your art look more cartoon style vs a 3D look.

I'm really excited, I've never seen anthro art in a gallery before.

I will have 13 pieces up and they will be from the tarot collection. Wish me luck getting all of them done and beautiful!!

If anyone has recommendations on printing let me know. I know that photo printing is the cheapest but I'm considering metal or framless.
