Upcoming Con Plans!

So just a quick update--this was really quite last minute, and I'm kind of amazed this is all coming together. -knocks on wood-
But, this upcoming January, I'm going to be attending Anime Los Angeles! I'll be there from Jan 9th - 13th. I won't be bringing Einnob with me (I'd be too worried about taking her on a plane), but I shall be bringing a couple of different cosplays with me, depending on what I'm able to finish by then! So if anyone plans on attending or whatnot, I'd love to know, so maybe we can hang out! :3
I'm really mostly using this as an excuse to visit a number of friends I have out on the west coast, including my girlfriend who currently lives in California. <3
For cosplays, I'll be bringing:
Genderbent Mikazuki from Touken Ranbu
Riku from Kingdom Hearts 2 (+ hopefully a Halloween Town cosplay I'm working on putting together)

Another Megaplex Down
Posted 7 years agoSo Megaplex 2018 has come and gone. It was another pretty good year! Had a good time with old friends, met some new friends, and looking forward to spending time with said friends at some point before the next convention rolls around!
Though, I have to say, I kind of found myself bored at Megaplex this year. I'm not an artist, in any sense of the word, so I can't really do things like artist ally or dealer's. And it just gets exhausting to run around in my suit for more than a few hours at a time, not to mention she's just kind of uncomfortable to wear for too long due to her design, though I still love her to death. I think, next year, I might look into the potential of volunteering, at least give myself something to do when there's no panels to go to or friends to hang out with.
Megaplex has always really been a con for me to go and see my friends and hang out, but I still need to just keep myself occupied throughout the weekend. |D So, yeah! Might just volunteer in 2019.
But, that aside, future con plans!
I mmmmmmight look into going to MFF this year?? Depending on if a friend has space, so we'll see.
Also tentatively planning to go to TFF next year! And then FWA following that, and then back to Megaplex once more.
I'm hoping by maybe 2020 I can finally make my way out to Anthrocon, to at least go once for the experience--just gotta be sure I have the money and everything for a trip like that. XD

As long as you're nice and you chat with me and my friends, and they're cool with it, you're welcome to walk around with us and hang out! Though I won't be inviting anyone back to the room; we wanna keep our room our chill zone away from the con space.

And it's kind of like an early birthday present to myself since my birthday's April 18th!
What do you eat?
Uhhh...Dr. Pepper, sushi, just about anything with cheese involved, McDonald's when I stay late at work...the list goes on, lol.
Parties/Drinking:
I'm definitely not the party kind of person, so none of that for me!
Drinking I'll only be doing with friends, and some of my roomies agreed that we need to share at least one drink together, but you won't see me getting wasted or anything crazy.
Fursuiting:
Of course! You're more likely to see me in-suit than out of it, probably. XD
Activities:
Lots of suiting and exploring the con space. And definitely much lurking about the dealer's den and artist's alley!
What time you usually go to bed and get up:
I go to bed anywhere between 2-6 AM because I'm a night owl. |D And then I try to be up no later than 11.
Do you talk out of suit:
Definitely! I'm kind of awkward about approaching new people, but I'm always down for chatting with whoever approaches me.
Do you talk in suit:
I do my best not to, but it just kinda happens. XD
Are you cliquey:
I do my best not to be! Please feel free to come up and talk to me whenever or give me a hug when you see me in-suit.
Is there anything I shouldn't do around you?
Treat me how you would like me to treat you; be a nice person and I'll be nice right back to you!
In-suit, please try not to tug or touch my tail unless I let you; it tugs on my belt which I tend to wear really tight, so it presses uncomfortably into me. ;;
Also don't mess with the wig hair or tug on my ears, as they're parts of my suit I don't want to mess up.
Otherwise, as long as there's no inappropriate touching in or out of suit, we're good to go.

2018 Con Plans

So I've been working on finalizing my convention plans for this year, for both furry cons and otherwise, and here's my current lineup! (Subject to change as I see fit, haha)
FWA | April 4-8 -- Going to this as a sort of birthday present for myself since my birthday is April 18th. It's gonna be my first out-of-state con, so I'm really looking forward to it! ;v; Gonna be attending with my awesome friends and con buds: ghostlymetalhead, sharkmoon17, and rawrztastic!
I'll definitely be bringing Einnob along with me, of course, so feel free to look out for me and come say hello! I'll be running around like crazy, most likely. :D

Posted 8 years agoHey! So i'm currently looking for someone who is open for badge commissions since I was hoping to get something done in time for Megaplex in July! However, it's a bit of a different request, so I wanted to post a journal here and see if someone was up for taking on the task (or knows someone who would!).
I'm hoping to get something like a FAQ badge. Due to my suit's appearance, I get asked a lot of questions about her and what she is, etc., and this upcoming Megaplex I plan on having a squeaker (actually a bird whistle, but shhh) and will therefore be unable to talk. And I would hate to burden my handler with all the info since she's not really in the fandom but I drag her along anyways lol.
But yeah! Basically just looking for a nice laminated badge with a handful of questions I get asked a lot and the answers to them, and maybe with a cute little headshot to go on it.
If anyone is interested or knows someone who might, please let me know! Thank you! <33

Also wanted to throw out there that I am looking for one or two other people to come room with myself and a good friend of mine! I'll be bringing my suit, of course, whereas friend isn't really a huge furry but Iforce drag her along anyways because she's awesome and still has fun. We're going to be arriving Thursday and we plan on staying until Monday afternoon this time around, so be in for the long haul!

Posted 9 years agoSo I said I wouldn't do this...but here we go! XD Seeing as how they posted the official schedule ( https://megaplex2016.sched.org/ ) figured I'd jot down some of the stuff I'll be doing (or hope to do) throughout the weekend. We'll see how it goes, lol!
Thursday:
Mostly really going to just be settling in and getting ready for the weekend. Will probably do some suiting around the hotel after reg and all that. Maybe go to the bowling thing?? WHO KNOWS. Really just gonna be hanging around, meeting people, stuff like that. <3
Friday:
10 AM: Definitely gonna be waking up early to attend Opening Ceremonies!
12:30 PM: Will most likely be attending the Pagan Meet Up around this time.
8 PM: Megaplex Late Night seems like it'll be fun, so might pop in there for a while. Between the last event and this, will be wandering around in or out of suit, visiting the dealer's den, etc. Will also be sure to go get some photos taken this day if possible.
10 PM: I've honestly still yet to go to any of the dances? Mostly just because dancing really isn't my thing. So who knows, I may be around here, or may just otherwise wander around the hotel until I pass out in bed.
Saturday
10:30 AM: May attend the World Building panel as something to do in the morning. Will be spending pretty much all of Saturday morning out of suit until the parade starts.
1:30 PM: Photo line-up and then the parade!! :D
4 PM: The Embrace the Power of your Suit panel looks pretty neat. Hopefully I'm not in too big of a mess from the parade that I'll swing by here after it's done. Will maybe take a nap if needed, considering how exhausted I was last year after the parade, so I can stay up late into the night.
8:30 PM: Gonna go to the Whose Line Is It Anyways? panel! Since it's being hosted by a friend, I definitely don't wanna miss it. :3 After that, will definitely be out and about for a good portion of the night--it's Saturday night, after all!

Really not too sure how late I'll be staying Sunday; really hope to make it to closing ceremonies, but no promises. Definitely looking forward to the CARE presentation and the auction, so I'll be around for that much. I'll just be playing it all by ear this day. XD

Mostly because 1) I'm lazy as heck and don't want to search through all the people I watch to try and decide, and 2) even if I did, I'm awful at deciding who to ultimately throw my monies at. ;n; SO if someone who watches me is open, or knows someone that is, drop a comment here or note me!

Cat Found A Home!

Want To Find A Cat A Home
Posted 9 years agoHey guys! So like...yeah I know I never post on here, but I guess it's because I really don't ever have much to say. xD But I'm making this journal in the hopes that I can find a cat a good home.
I live in the Spring Hill area, so would like to find someone nearby.
The cat in question would be Mason. He's 4 years old, neutered, up to date on all his shots, and he's a very loveable kitty.
Long story short: my parents fell in love with two cats, Mason and another. My step-dad is a sensitive soul when it comes to animals, and he's really getting torn up about having to choose between the two. We would take in them both, but that would put us at three cats and would probably kill my mom with her allergies. And he's doesn't want to have to choose to take one and leave the other behind; to him, that's like choosing between your own children. So we're hoping we can find this guy a home while we foster him before we then officially adopt the other cat.
Please help to spread this around, or ask around if you're in the nearby area. <3 I'd greatly appreciate it. Sudden Inspiration
Posted 10 years agoListening to Kingdom Hearts from my ipod on my way home from work tonight and I think I'm gonna start and finish a Halloweentown Riku cosplay I've been wanting to do for a while. I've been waiting to hear back if this Kingdom Hearts event over at Magic Kingdom in Orlando was going to be hosted again this year, but with all the Halloween festivities already starting in Disney, figure I'ma just start it and get it done in time for Halloween.
So yeah, woo! Probably will start some time this month and then yeah. :'D It's been something I've been wanting to do for a while, and even if I have more materials to another cosplay than this one, I'ma do it.

ShadoCon 2015, Nov 6 - 8
- This is a very big maybe, at the moment. It depends a lot on if I feel like going and if I can finish a dang cosplay in time for it. I have almost all the materials I need to get at least one done, just a matter of sitting down and finding the time to put it together.
Furry Weekend Atlanta, March 31 - April 3
- This is probably an even bigger maybe than ShadoCon. But now that I've attended Megaplex twice and know what furry conventions are like, I'd love to be able to attend other ones as I slowly work my way up towards attending AnthroCon eventually. But we'll see~
MegaCon 2016, May 26 - 29
- Will be attending this with my step-dad; we would love to stay for the entire weekend, but I don't think he knows yet that they extended it to four days lol. We'll have to see how that one goes~

Megaplex 2015 Wrap-Up
Posted 10 years agoSecond time going to Megaplex and I had an even better time than last year, I feel like~
I met so many awesome and amazing people, and I hadn't realized just how many other furries there were in the nearby area of where I live! Hopefully we shall be able to set up meets a little closer than where most of the FL ones happen. But, like last year, everyone was super nice and friendly and just overall amazing people. <3
First arrived early Thursday, around 11:30. There were a few other furries milling about, but nothing too exciting. Much of the first few hours was spent up in the room hanging out until more people started to show up. Got our badges and then I ran up to the room and I'm pretty sure I suited for the first time Thursday night.
It was a blast! I had a super fun time in my suit and it was so much fun interacting with everyone. Got called cute plenty of times, and adorable, and creepy, which is exactly what all I was going for~ >;)
I also didn't realize until then just how hard it is to act in suit without talking! I've only suited one other time previous to Megaplex this year, which was a run to honor the life of a little girl (and to honor the lives of other young children that aren't with us anymore), but that wasn't really too much because not too many people interacted a lot with me, and I was only there for a couple of hours. But being surrounded by so many people that want to interact with me was a completely different experience, and I did my best not to talk to much. I'm not the sort of person that will be strict about talking while in-suit; I love to talk to people! Einnob, however, doesn't have an in-character voice, and I hope to be able to get a bird whistle to use for her for next year.
Anywho, the rest of the weekend was just a mind-blowing experience after that, and I had a lot more fun this year as I ran into furries that lived either in Spring Hill or close to it (hope to be able to meet them again before Megaplex next year!). Attended opening ceremonies, a couple of panels between Friday and Saturday, and then spent as much time as I possibly could in my suit.
The parade on Saturday was pretty fun! Didn't enjoy being in my suit for such a long extended period of time around every other suiter in the hotel, but I did have fun with it. Gave lots of tail high-fives as I went~ ;D
I spent some time Friday night also in the Cage after getting a friend to donate some money. XD That was a fun idea they had, doing that, and I hope CARE got a lot of money donated to them this year; there were definitely some high-priced items that went in the auction this year, so that was good. (I wanted that stitch lanyard, but alas, too expensive for me. :c )
Otherwise there's not really much to say, I guess? I didn't do anything outstanding or exciting, really, just suited pretty much at every opportunity I had to do so! Met some nice people that I hope to stay in-touch with as time goes on, and now going to just be lurking through FA and YouTube to keep an eye out for myself.
I AM SUPER EXCITED FOR NEXT YEAR YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA ADLSJFASLDFKLASNDF!!!! From what I've found, Megaplex will be MOVING HOTELS for next year's convention to the Embassy Suites of Lake Buena Vista. I looked at their website and holy sHIT that hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see what it'll be like to stay there and I am so super excited and omg I can't even.
As for my plans for next year, I will of course be bringing Einnob again with me. I hope to be able to stay Thursday - Monday next year, so I can stay for the events later in the day on Sunday, such as the Fursuit Games and the dances. And maybe I'll actually go to a dance next year! I tried going this year, but I was always tired and crashing by the time they started because of all the suiting I was doing, so I'll try to keep myself a little more in-check next year so I can stay awake that long.

Much of the first few hours was spent up in the room hanging out until more people started to show up. Got our badges and then I ran up to the room and I'm pretty sure I suited for the first time Thursday night.
It was a blast! I had a super fun time in my suit and it was so much fun interacting with everyone. Got called cute plenty of times, and adorable, and creepy, which is exactly what all I was going for~ >;)
I also didn't realize until then just how hard it is to act in suit without talking! I've only suited one other time previous to Megaplex this year, which was a run to honor the life of a little girl (and to honor the lives of other young children that aren't with us anymore), but that wasn't really too much because not too many people interacted a lot with me, and I was only there for a couple of hours. But being surrounded by so many people that want to interact with me was a completely different experience, and I did my best not to talk to much. I'm not the sort of person that will be strict about talking while in-suit; I love to talk to people! Einnob, however, doesn't have an in-character voice, and I hope to be able to get a bird whistle to use for her for next year.
Anywho, the rest of the weekend was just a mind-blowing experience after that, and I had a lot more fun this year as I ran into furries that lived either in Spring Hill or close to it (hope to be able to meet them again before Megaplex next year!). Attended opening ceremonies, a couple of panels between Friday and Saturday, and then spent as much time as I possibly could in my suit.
The parade on Saturday was pretty fun! Didn't enjoy being in my suit for such a long extended period of time around every other suiter in the hotel, but I did have fun with it. Gave lots of tail high-fives as I went~ ;D
I spent some time Friday night also in the Cage after getting a friend to donate some money. XD That was a fun idea they had, doing that, and I hope CARE got a lot of money donated to them this year; there were definitely some high-priced items that went in the auction this year, so that was good. (I wanted that stitch lanyard, but alas, too expensive for me. :c )
Otherwise there's not really much to say, I guess? I didn't do anything outstanding or exciting, really, just suited pretty much at every opportunity I had to do so! Met some nice people that I hope to stay in-touch with as time goes on, and now going to just be lurking through FA and YouTube to keep an eye out for myself.
I AM SUPER EXCITED FOR NEXT YEAR YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA ADLSJFASLDFKLASNDF!!!! From what I've found, Megaplex will be MOVING HOTELS for next year's convention to the Embassy Suites of Lake Buena Vista. I looked at their website and holy sHIT that hotel is absolutely GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see what it'll be like to stay there and I am so super excited and omg I can't even.
As for my plans for next year, I will of course be bringing Einnob again with me. I hope to be able to stay Thursday - Monday next year, so I can stay for the events later in the day on Sunday, such as the Fursuit Games and the dances. And maybe I'll actually go to a dance next year! I tried going this year, but I was always tired and crashing by the time they started because of all the suiting I was doing, so I'll try to keep myself a little more in-check next year so I can stay awake that long.
