more stuff!
Posted 15 years agowell its been about 3 or 4 months at my job and i have to report that all is going well! sure i got some Emails from my bosses telling me of things i didnt do right. but with a small explanation of "never been shown how to" it was just fine. also i feel the need to bitch at something for a second. i don't know how many of you folks out there have a job where you are given an email and then told to check it everyday. but i think its shit! every email i have got that kinda had someone explane to me about an issue seemed like i was about to lose my job! what happen to face to face communication?!?!? is it a lost art in our world these days? its just so passive aggressive and its super annoying!
on the other side of it all. im getting lots of money! i dont really look at my back account anymore, and i even dont really look at my paydays anymore. im at that point in my life once more where im making lots of money! but in the words of that one dead guy "mo money, mo problems" and in my life nothing is closer to the truth then this.
so about 2 months ago my roommate john tells us all that he got accepted into the masters program! i was over joyed at the news. but it was smashed to the ground when i find that the school is in the east bay (about a 2 hour drive). and he says that he will be needing to move out at the end of august. so a few things happened in those few months. he never got a place to live over there. he was shot down about 5 times in 2 months, it was harsh. so harsh that he was even saying that he was just going to say fuck it and stay here. but about 3 weeks ago things changed 3 more times. and it ended with him finally getting a place to stay. so in about 2 days we will be having 1 less roommate and 1 room to pay for!
there are a few ways i have tried to deal with this, and the easiest has been going onto craigslist and posting our room up for rent and calling/emailing everyone i can on there. and im sure you can guess what has happened, so now that i have more money in my life i am in need of spending more of it! and sense school started last week and we are super close to the university its going to be near unto imposable to find a college dude that needs a place to call home now that school has started!!! so with that and the fact that crash had to quit his job cuz it was kinda making him go insane day by day im paying his rent my rent and half of the rent for the open room! so um...anyone need a place to stay?
now its not to say that im broke. like i said i am making good money now. but im gonna have no me money! and ill even let you into alittle known fact. you know the main reason my fursuit is not in my hands is because 2 other times in my life i have had to dip into that money to pay for shit like rent and bills! and its things like this that come up. like no joke it this stuff going on and this better not be the 3rd time!...sigh
and a quick recap of my last journal...my "friend" is still making it hard for me to keep him as a friend.

on super good news i have been biking to and from work now. i feel super awesome! ive felt slimmer, i feel stronger and just everything is better because of it =3 and its another way of saving money ^^ the only thing is that i need to start eating better fewds to help it all work faster. and the right types as well.

friendship...
Posted 15 years agoFriendship is the cooperative and supportive relationship between people, or animals. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, affection, and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis.
in my life i have called many a person my friend. and they have called me friend in return. but every now and again i look around at the people i give this wonderful title to and i start to wonder, who can still wear this title with pride among the people i see on a day to day basis. i value friendships much higher then most to top it all off. i try my best to help anyone i call "a friend". weather it comes to money, time, food, touch. you name it. as long as it will not put me in harm i wont take a second thought...it will be done. and then there are the times that i STILL will take harm to myself just for them, and why? because they are a friend.
as i make a small list in my head of friends around me, i cant help but wonder...do they even care? its so hard to ask someone this question. its kinda a catch 22. the mere act of asking this question could ruin a friendship, its showing them that you don't really respect them. that you have to question there friendship to know that it is there. but i really want to know sometimes! cause it gets to the point where they stop doing friendly things to me and as a good friend should do, i just respect whats going on and carry on.
i almost lost a friend over the past few days. and i didn't even know that it was even in question. but with simple communication everything is just fine. but there is a second friend that i have that is doing way to many unfriendly things to me and those around me that i wonder if i should keep trying to be that persons friend or not. i keep trying and trying to stay friends with that person and he isn't doing anything friendly to me in return. I'm sure in time everything will show it's self. but i never like lies or not truths.
within the furry fandom friendship is easy and hard to come by. I'm sure all of you have fallen' to this problem. its super easy to befriend someone over our glorious inter-webs. Ive done it a few times myself. and then there are those that will not even give you the time of day...you don't even get a reply sometime. but its not like you are asking someone for anything, other then simple friendship. is it so hard to want to be friends with others? or to let others be your friends?
but i digress...i really wish there was a simple way to find out. a way of asking but not questioning them. should it be judged on acts alone? should it be something else? am i thinking to deeply into this topic? ...well yes i could be. but this is just kinda who i am inside. i always want to know more about the things that i know. and knowing everything about a friend sounds like something a good friend should do for one another.

Posted 15 years agowell im super board at work so i decided to update my FA profile! it was quite neet and i had some fun doing it. so take a look and tell me what ya think!
also in the past month i have started to develop this rather unhealthy desire for something that i haven't really wanted before. but now i really really want it! in short its this...

even when i knew of it i never really cared about it to much when i saw it at first. i think it mostly had to do with money. it was quite costly and was kinda out of my scope of things i could get with the money i had. but now that im working a good job once more and i have quite a few $$$ to toss around its quite reachable! SO NOW I WANT ONE!!! ;-;
other then that one of my coworkers has really been quite a butt head. there really is no other word for it. he isn't a dipstick. or an asshat. but just a butt head. i think it mostly brakes down to the fact that he is 18 and this is his second job in his life. so he kinda comes off like he knows everything and he can do no wrong. i have never quite met anyone quite like him. i remember in college taking lots of psychology classes and reading all about the "teenage attitude" but he sums up everything i have read about! its kinda fucked up cuz i have never had to deal with anyone quite like it. it sucks!
lets see what else.
so RF is looking like its a 99% yes and a 1% no. i requested the time off, so lets hope that goes ok. i have requested the discount rate at the Hilton and the double tree near by. so if all of those come out to be a go...then i will get my train ticket and my reg for the con! anyone else going?

Posted 15 years agoso im a year older now. and this was quite a good birthday day. last night 
korkem came over and he wanted to cook some dinner for crash and i! so i suited up as his sou and we cooked some lovely teriyaki chicken with udon noodles. yum yum yum! we all got drunk and had a good night ^^
the fallowing day i had planed a local furmeet/birthday get together. got 16 ppl! tons of fun! the only thing i need to remember about planing for furrys is that i need to plan the time 1 hour before the "real" time i want ppl there! at 6pm witch was the time i wanted to start and stuff...we didn't get off the ground until about 7:30.
knowing that i had work tonight at 11pm i wanted to get in food as well. but we didnt get to chilis untill 10. and with trying to find seating for 16+ on a friday night is quite hard to do...let alone trying to get the food out and in my tummy by 10:45 so i can head off to work. i had to take half of it togo, but it was still good when i got to work ^^
so for now im just at work, witch is still going quite well. there was a small niggle that happen to me in that they fucked up on my latest paycheck. they didnt log in 36 of my hours. so i talked to payroll and they said they would just toss the horus onto my next paycheck. so my next check is going to be SUPER HUGE! i cant wait for that ^^
anywho. im out for now. oh and a side note. im looking for 1 to 2 roomates for FC. main hotel. and we are staying 6 nights. 1 day before and 1 day after. any takers?

Posted 15 years agowell...the 15th was crashthedog and i's 2 year anaversry! over all we more or less ate out alot :P yesderday we ate at red lobster with friends. and today we had chilis. both was with a bunch friends. most of them non furs. one of them was a new fur friend that i brought into the fandom

he is a nice guy, i mostly poked at him that he was a fur and just didnt know it when i saw him over twitter about how much he loved HTTYD and how he has seen it about 6 times at the movies. after that all it took was 1 search of the word "furry" on google with the safe search turned off...and boom. converted. he is still working up a fursona. so drop by his page and give him a hello or welcome.
so on to my new job. well im more or less all done with training and i can more or less do all the things i need to do without a hitch. so its only a matter of time before it becomes second nature. my coworkers rule...about 95% of them :P but over all its relaxing and enjoyable. heck im doing this journal from work right now! i think the best part about working here is the free food. its why i always try to get jobs in the food indastry. the disscounts/free foods! but here i get 1 free meal a day as well as snacks like bagles and other stuff to my liking~
i still have a small issue with the job, and thats i dont have a log in ID. so i cant really clock in and out. i have to put it down on a sheet of paper. and that was a problem when it came time for my first paycheck. it didnt show up! and so i went bitching to as meny ppl as i could and as i turns out my paper was "lost in transit" so someone kinda just didnt give a shit and left it laying around. so i had to get a new check sent to me. i got it today...but payday was on thursday of last week guys! so i kinda have to watch my tracked hours like a hawk!...or wolf >_> <_< ya you get the idea. but its something that wont change till they give me a log in ID...but no one seems to want to do that! so its kinda BS for now. but when i get my log in im sure everything will be fine from then on in.
lets see what else...........
OH! if you are up from the time of 11pm to 7am PST. drop me a text and we can chat and stuff...my "work" work takes me about 3 hours to do in a 8 hour shift. so i always have free time on my hands and i can become board sometimes =3 if i dont reply i might not be working and asleep at home :P
i have wensday and thrusday off this time around...so i get to go play warmachine with some of my friends tomorrow. and i get to goto chicken! im trying to make thoes day my perma days off. if that works out that will make me super happy =3

Doryuu and korkem came over and we all cooked some spam eggs and rice...with a side of fish =3 it was quite tasty! its the first time i have ever had spam that i liked! and its been like a year sense doryuu has been over so we needed to change that!
sat was super cool as well!
YipesMyStripes had a small B-day get together at leo's place that night, so korkem and i drove down there and hung out. lots of fun to be had there :D its always a blast at leo's.
Sunday i kinda wished i could have gone to stars bowling but its always hard for me to get a ride down there...there will always be another time tho!
but Monday is what brought this week to full awesome...I GOT A JOB! im now a night auditor at the double tree hotel! what is a night auditor you may ask? well im not 100% sure, but what they told me was that i would be mostly closing up the hotel making sure everything is locked down but the front doors. and i would be the night person that ppl talk to about things and checking in if needed.
all i know is that its 11 bucks an hour and they are giving me 40 hours a week! medical and dental and optical and a 401k. with lots of room to grow. and they do discounts on travel and hotel stays...who knows. i might goto more furry cons now :D
and for closing...everyone needs to go watch
Zets he is a good suiter and so far a nice dude =3 find his silliness and good times on youtube and stuff, worth the watch!

the hotel:
the best part about the hotel in my view was the amount of places to eat around! i had something different from a different place every meal of the con and i didn't have to walk more then 5 mins away! that's HUGE! now i love my Denny's don't get me wrong! but i know a lot of ppl who don't want to eat at Denny's all the time. so this a very nice thing to see. ^^ another wonderful thing about the placement of the hotel was the foot traffic outside. there are ppl walkin about, and in my view that's a nice thing to see! witch means there is some lovely outside fursuiting action that can take place =3
some of the bad stuff about the hotel is that it was off. ill explain. last year's hotel there is a long area where everyone can kinda walk to and from to get to panels and events and just chill. and it all kinda takes place in the lobby area. in this hotel everything that was going on was in the second floor of the hotel, and there was also a area of the lobby on the first floor that was being used as well. some ppl chilled around the lobby area here but i don't think it was the best place to be. mostly cuz its not very big, and there were a few times where i kinda had to wiggle my way around passed a bunch of ppl. there just isn't enough space down there to make it a huge hang out. and with ppl wanting to be down there and ppl wanting to be on the second floor you just don't get the opportunity to see everyone. now that might sound like a gripe but it might be. i like a place where everyone can be in the same place at the same time.
the events: it was wonderful to see FC with a fursuit dance competition! i think i had a better time at that then i did FNL! but i <3 fursuits and i <3 dancing so ya. =3 everyone there made me smile and they all had different dance styles to make it a huge mass of awesome!
the only thing that took away from it was the judges. i know that might sound bad but they where trying to be full of wit and sillyness but when the main MC has to tell them over the mic "lets stay on track" 3 or 4 times, it kinda gets old. and wile im still on the judges i think they kinda off as well. like i dont think a single one of them really cared about dancing as a whole. and with that i thought it was werid on who got second and 3rd place. but this is just my opinion.
the dances!:
every year my favorite thing to do is go to the dances ^^ i have a lot of fun and i see a lot of my friends there =3 as with every year i always try and get close to as many fursuiters as i can and get some dancing nuzzles with them, i was happy that i got some, and of course there is always the want for some more. but that will always be next year! the music was very tasety to behold and i felt a groove with almost every DJ there, but 1.
ohhh Friday night. this is another thing that kinda felt like they just picked up anyone to fit in. the music is supposed to be fursuit friendly and be at a slower BPM and that i 100% understand. but what i dont understand is why they would get someone with no idea what they are doing up there! when a song was over, it would fade out and then she would just press play on another song! you might as well have a ipod on shuffle!!
the costs:
not sure if i have much to say about the good side of this one. parking was over priced, we had to park somewhere like 2 blocks away just to keep it under 50 bucks! that's kinda lame. and speaking of lame, there was the small...well big deal with paying for the hotel with a debt card crap. so i might have been the only one who didn't see this one but. when you pay with w debt card they need to take a hold of 100 bucks a night as a deposit for the room wile i stay there. it never said anything like that when i reserved a room. there is nothing that says that on there website. so it was kinda a kick in the balls for me when i got there. i almost didnt get my room!!! cause i didn't have 800 bucks in my bank. oh and don't even get me started on that $7 bottle of water that's stilling on your night stand!
the over all:
FC is a con everyone should hit up at least 1 time if you are a fur. you will have a blast. i sure did ^^ i am looking forward to next year as always. who know, i might have my suit by then as well :P

but i have found out that furs HATE the phone. and just for an FYI texting is not what i am talking about. im talking about....well....talking!
why is it that no fur wants to talk on the phone? why is it that they would rather text or chat online? there is only 1 fur that i know of that likes to talk on the phone (other then me)

Posted 17 years agoi have had the nick name "ekanssssssssss" for about 11ish years. and sense the name is of a copyrighted character from pokemon i dont think i want to have it as my "fursona". like i <3 snakes and always will and ekans will forever be one of the cutest snakes around. but with my fursuit coming up and ready i think i want to have him as a portrait of myself.
