Game Update
Posted 2 years ago[Copied from here]
Hi, it's been a while! Been working nonstop on the new game, writing the story, programming and drawing the art. I'm getting closer to releasing chapter 1 every day but it's definitely not there yet. Right now I plan on releasing 3 chapters.
So far I'm ~95% the way done with the story and dialogue for the first chapter. It's been going pretty smoothly, I'm definitely not the best writer but I think it's passable.
I'd love to give details but I also don't want to spoil it..
I'm ~70-80% done with the programming and backend that I need for chapter 1.
On the programming side, I've been spending a decent amount of time working on minigames that give the player a chance to escape a sticky situations "poor" decisions.
The biggest thing I still have to implement for the game is the save load system which hopefully shouldn't be too time consuming. Making files work with all future versions could be slightly tricky though.
The place where I'm furthest behind and biggest reason for delay is the art. I'm probably only ~20% done with the art for chapter 1. It took me a long time to figure out a style that I thought looked good and was quick and easy to produce. It was important that I chose the right style before I started putting out scenes and story images so that I don't have to redraw them if the style changed.
I originally planned on releasing the first version of chapter 1 with sketches instead of finished art (Which is why I estimated the first version to be done in March) but I came to think that it would take too much away from the experience.
This project was also originally supposed to be a quick 2ish month endeavor but it keeps expanding as I get new ideas.. Which I think is a good thing. It just means I have to put future projects on pause for a while and I'm ok with that.
As for when I think chapter 1 will be ready for release.... It's honestly just whenever it's done. :/
I don't really want to give an estimate... :S
Maybe a month maybe 3? :P
Not sure yet whether I'll have mobile or web support for the first version at launch. I'll try my best to make it happen but I still haven't tested how the game would perform online or on mobile.
If any of my supporters wanna see spoiler images or current WIPs just let me know. I'd love feedback. :>
I'll update if I have more interesting non-spoiler things to show!
TLDR: Production it going smoothly but has expanded and chapter 1 will probably be out within the next 3 months.
Cheers!

What I will and won't draw:
https://www.f-list.net/c/ekull <--- F-list
If something is in the yes I'll draw it, if it's in the no I won't. The the maybe is a gray area where it kind of depends.
Does/Don't for you:
• Do send as many references as you want! The more the better!
• Do be as descriptive as possible as to what you want me to draw, both initially and during corrections.
• Do quickly and carefully review sketches so that I can make corrections as quickly as possible.
• Don't not respond to me for weeks when I have questions and expect me to keep working on your commission.
• Don't expect art to be way higher quality than examples I may have given.
• Don't resell any of the art you receive from me or use it in any commercial way, unless otherwise agreed upon.
• Please do be respectful to yourself and to me.
Does/Don't for me:
• I'm allowed to stream your commission, but I won't if you ask me not to beforehand.
• I'm allowed to refuse your commission, with no reason given. (Don't see this happening too much)
• I'm allowed to repost your commission anywhere unless otherwise agreed upon.
• I don't resell your commission.
• I don't remove my watermarks on a finished piece.
The Art Process:
• If I have slots open, the process begins with you claiming a spot and sending me a detailed description of what you'd like me to draw, along with references of any character, location, vibe or objects you'd like to include. Giving the background and personality on your character(s) can also help a lot! I'll review your information as quickly as possible and respond with my own questions and we can discuss a price.
• I'll send you an invoice and once I've received full payment I'll begin work on your commission as soon as possible!
• I'll send you a sketch of the work in progress within a maximum of 10 days.
• Once you receive the sketch, review it carefully and send me any corrections you'd like me to make. Please be as descriptive as possible, you can send me more reference images if you'd like.
• I'll make corrections as quickly as possible and send you an updated sketch.
• Once you're happy with the sketch I'll continue work on your commission.
• I'll periodically send you WIPs of the commission, which you can review.
• I allow up to 3 free corrections after sketch portion is done. After 3, each correction costs an additional $5.
• Commissions typically take me anywhere for 1-5 weeks to finish (Depending on queue).
• You receive a full HD piece of digital art! :>
Payments:
• I require full payment before I start a commission, after we have agreed upon a price.
• So far I've setup and accept Stripe or Paypal
Refunds:
• If a normal commission takes longer than 4 months from payment date to complete, (Wildly unlikely) or if for some reason I can't finish your commission, I will give you the option of a full refund.
• Other than that, no refunds.
