I wanted to share something really cool! A painting I did earlier in the year commissioned by YatterTheMan from DA, aka  ToxicZangoose, featuring his character was recently crafted into a hand-made sculpture by  SleeplessTotodile!

Remember this painting of ToxicZangoose very cool Pokemon OC, Calorin the Zangoose, I painted a few months back?

ToxicZangoose then commissioned SleeplessTotodile to create a sculpture of him based off my painting, and now Calorin exists as this incredible sculpture, hand-made and hand-painted by  SleeplessTotodile!

I love the detail Sleepless was able to achieve with Calorin's fur, especially for his tail and ears. The base with the rock pond provide a nice contrast to the entire sculpture, and the crystals even glow in the dark! You can check out how they look in the Tumblr link Sleepless has in his FA submission description, or by clicking here! You can see the detail especially well in his Tumblr link. :)

I just wanted to share since Sleepless did a fantastic job with it, and it's not everyday I see one of my paintings brought to life in 3d! :) Thank you again to ToxicZangoose for keeping me updated with the piece's progress (it was such fun to see the process from start to finish!)! The piece turned out excellently, SleeplessTotodile, very nice work! :)

Instructions & Process Info:

1. Reply to this journal or send a note with ref(s) and/or a description of what you'd like for a price quote. If there's a specific style from my gallery you'd like me to paint in, include the link(s) with your message.

2. I'll reply to your message with an exact quote. If you confirm the quote works for you, I will book you a slot and let you know an estimated start date. I will send you a note with payment info when it is your turn.

3. Payment can be made 1/2 at the start and 1/2 at the finish, or all upfront. I start work as soon as I receive the first payment.

4. I will send you a colored sketch for you to approve and/or ask for changes before I begin the painting process. I can send additional WIP's after that at your request.

5. Turnover from the time you send your payment to the final painting is a few days/under a week, unless it includes a complex background, in which case the estimated turnover time is under 2 weeks. I will automatically send you updates every two or three days for this kind of complex commission, and you can request minor changes at each WIP stage.


Additional Info & Terms:

- Payment is through Paypal. All prices are in usd.
- I may post the artwork on my art accounts, such as FA, DA, tumblr, etc. mentioning it was for you :)
- Commissioners are allowed to repost to their gallery with credit
- All commissions stated above are private/personal commissions. For commercial commissions, please note me for more information.
- Clients are not allowed to resell the artwork unless a contract is made and agreed upon.
- High-resolution jpg and web-sized jpg will be sent to you by default.

I hope everyone is feeling good this time of year! Do you have any plans for your Christmas / New Year / Break? Do you enjoy this time of year, or does it make you stressed? I'd love to know. :)

How did the week FA was down affect you, if at all? For me, I kept feeling like I didn't have enough to check or new art to look at, and I missed talking with everyone here. D: I'm glad it's back up before the holidays/New Year. :)

I want to wish everyone a pleasant time with family and friends, and also to thank everyone who visits my page. Meeting so many kind people makes me glad I created this account this year. Everyone's been super-nice, thank you. ;_; It also makes me happy if my artwork makes other people happy. :) I'll continue to do my best in the new year!
