I have my new Eee 1000H.. They didn't have the normal 1000 or the Linux one but I've been waiting 6 months for a new laptop and about 3 for this perticular model..
If your only complaint with the normal Eee 701/901 is the keyboard, then this is the machine for you!
Also got an extended waranty(I'll never use it, it just means the machine won't die on me:), 11-28v to 12v converter to run the Eee and an external drive off car/sla battries and a few other minor accessories..
On it's very first power up it had the debinan install image on a USB drive so it runs Debian now, I'm happy.
