The Ultimate Question: Are Labubu Furries?
Posted a week agoI don't know how to answer this and I honestly, don't care, these little critters joined my photography and I have been enjoying it each moment, they seem to light up the screen as I work with them. I have taken them with me to some pretty cool events and I have been hoping to take them to more in the future. I know that Labubu are on the way out, but here I am just making some fun with my little critters.
So anyway, I am going to be at Daku Con in a few days and I am going to be announcing some new works. The idea of the panels is to figure out who is who and I am going to be working with convention staff as I see that they're either going to be working with me.

Mile Hi Con Tomorrow
Posted a week agoWho wants to hear about a convention that is so lowkey that it makes no difference in how big a pool is? Mile Hi Con has been around for almost 58 years, it has been the oldest and yet so tried and true. I have attended off and on since the early 2000s, I have just enjoyed the smallness, the fun actions, the people who run it and the fact it has always been one of the nicest group of staff.
I work in the literary auction and have been for a few years, I enjoy the fun of it, I love the amazing people and those who run it are people I have met for several years.
So each year I get more involved and more into it, though I also attend Daku Con in a few weeks. I hope to have more fun this year and hopefully have some fun next year.

The Issues at Hand

I can be a pretty tolerant person, but at the moment my tolerance is wearing a bit thin with a certain friend. The truth is, its has to do with a set of behavior she has been displaying. I was trying to do an event which I do each year, but she was deciding that since she can't go, no one in her group of friends can go. Basically, she didn't want me going to the Dragon Boat Festival because she couldn't bring her walker on the grass and it was a problem, that wasn't the issue though, I told her that she shouldn't sweat it, but it ended with, "Whatever you say, I don't go anywhere anyway." This is entirely not true, she went to an Anime Con back in August, she has an event going to Georgetown CO that I can't attend due to work and lack of transportation.
What cuts is she brought up the fact I had a falling out with a certain friend who was not being very tolerant and treated my birthday like an inconvience for him and his wife. I didn't expect these people to show up, but to tell me, "Well, the food at Casa Bonita sucks, why don't you just skip it and make your day about your friend, so and so." I mean what? My mother made the reservations back in May!
I was beyond upset and haven't talked to this person since due to their flippent behavior and treatment of my own feelings, like seriously, he didn't care that my mother could lose money over that! He also was blocked and his wife was the one now fielding the whole thing, she was upset that I refuse to post images from the event on Facebook.
So onto the Dragon Boat issue, I had to promise to not post images of the Dragon Boat Festival on Facebook so this female friend wouldn't have an issue and wouldn't whine about how poor her she couldn't go. The truth is she could, she could have asked for help, she could have asked for my husband or myself to help her, but she chose not to. So this was entirely self inflicted when it shouldn't have been. She also shouldn't have brought up the fact I am no longer talking to someone who treated my birthday like it was inconvient and that I should allow it to be hijacked. The truth is, that has been an ongoing issue!
The person I am speaking on is learning disabled and has chronic illnesses, I have many friends with this, but she makes it define her. She has been unable to find work, she can't get a job. She also spends her time watching Supernatural, Sherlock and Doctor Who, but she still acts like a high schooler. I feel less like I am her friend and also she gets so upset when people have different hobbies.
The fact is I don't know what to make of her anymore, she literally is one of the largest reasons I shut down my Discord, Pallas Mountain. I just had enough of the fact I had to cater or censor myself to make her feel included. The truth is a few friends were mad at her about it all.
Dragon Boat Festival 2025 Explained
i have attended this event since well, I think 2010, it has been a huge part of my summers and this was the first time I was going in September instead of July when it is hot. The truth is that Sloan's Lake in the heart of Denver CO, is one of the busiest places, but also has become kind of a sad state in ecosystems. The issue is that there is Toxic levels of algea that has been an on going problem. The fact it can make people sick is not a good thing and it was higher than normal this year, that was why the festival was moved to September.
Next year there is a chance to move it to Thorton, but that's just a dicusssion for another time and I won't go into that until I know for sure if that is the case. We have until 2026 to figure that out.
So what do the symbols all mean on the flags in the second picture, these are the signs of luck and also encouragment to those in the races. Yes, the entire thing is a race and most of it is for a charity, so you have to understand that these are people who train all year for this and to make it from one end of the lake to the other in a long boat.
I truthfully have seen many races and some are quicker than others, then again we also have performances from various cultural groups and deomostration from various martial arts schools.
So the Festival is a huge set of events that mark the most entertaining part of the summer or end of it.

He was certain its fake, but when we got it appraised a few years ago, it turned into a quite a discovery, and it was more than I expected. He also wanted to buy it back, but found he couldn't and didn't have the heart since I treasured it so highly.

Posted 2 months agoSo, yeah, I went to an anime con that I didn't really expect to go to, I was just going for some fun and I met up with some new friends. I have not spoken about the past and the weirdness. I am not sure why I have to say weirdness, but considering that Anime Cons and me have a strange history.
I have been to Nan Desu Kan a few times, usually just for a day or just for fun, the truth is the convention has well...I don't know, I spent most times wanting to forget what happened, but this time, I want to keep it in my memory. I met some of the nicest most fun people in a long time.

The Wonders of July

A friend has joined my outtings, she may or may not join FA or Cara. I have talked to her that she should try walking around and look for something fun in Nature Photography. This is also a therapy for her since she recently lost someone she loved deeply recently, which hurts to see, I care about my friend and I hope she will feel better in the future.
Discord and Discorded
I have told people about my Discord, Pallas Mountain, but I had to shut it down and now it is not in existence, I opted to make a new one that is smaller and doesn't have a lot of people in control. I just went quiet and thought about letting a friend take some control over the meets, she and I are now doing this as a team so we have a better grasp on what we are doing in town.
My friend, I will call her Angel has many physical disabilities so she has trouble with the heat and also walking long distances. So don't judge her harshly, because some people have in the past. I have been upset with myself for distancing myself.

Posted 4 months agoI opted to put more furry convention stuff on here for now, the newer art is on my DA account for right now until I can transfer and also prepare to make some purchases. I am planning on building a scrapbook for this year, it was amazing and I had a blast. I didn't just do pictures. There is more to it, I was able to make a map in a panel, I was making friendship bracelets and also bookmarks.
I met some amazing people from both my regular fandom and more.
So I am going to say it about Denver FanExpo, I am going back next year!

The Countdown!

The countdown is on and I am getting excited, though my coworkers are not much help at the moment. I had a panic attack when my coworker mentioned the security issue with some devices, they're tangled up, its spider wrap, I tried to fix some and its just not pretty. I have tried to figure that out for awhile, though I think my manager is ready to just trash them whole sale.
I am also getting some ideas for the next big shoot for Nature photography because usually during June or July, my family does the trip to Georgetown CO, this was held off on because of some other issues where my cousin is bringing the kiddos. I am now trying to figure out how to keep a couple kids entertained, these involve parks, trains and maybe amusement parks. I am not sure if my friends want to deal with my cousin's kids, but you know, its fun with the oldest, she's 13, she wants to see Furries! She wants to see cosplay, she wants to know what I am into.
Glad, she's not like her dad, he's worse, my cousin, he can be the most crazy because he will voluntarily put on costumes that literally can be either too big, too small, or just not work with him at all, he will overheat and I will be standing there telling, "See, I told you not to do this!" He never listens to me! He never listened to my late sister either! So he is walking into danger, which could be heat stroke!
I at least am lucky to have them around though.

I have panel news starting in a few weeks, though I have narrowed panels down to my Mystery Panel, The Cat Lover's Guide to Anime and Manga, and my favorite, Japanese Horror Movies, You're Sleeping with The Lights On!
So far, that is the plan, if anything comes up, I will update!

June is going to be interesting
Posted 5 months agoI am going to mention something that this month, that Pride is not going to overlap as it has during the Sakura Festival which I have attended the last few years with friends. The festival and Pride always seemed to end with the Tiko Drums echoing off the buildings and the LGBTQAI+ joining in with such joy and acceptance from the Buddhist temple. It is sad that there won't be that unity like there has been for the last few years.
Denver has for the last few years felt like a peaceful place to coexist in, but with the rise in a lot of different groups, some more conservative, it has been a bit trying for me. More so that any other because I have had to explain why I don't trust the community of Conservatives, mostly because of a case that won't be finished until sometime in July, which is when the sentencing, and more for that Back to Nature group. (I can get into detail later on in a different post explaining what is going on and why it overlapped into this)
Also I gave myself a sunburn again, not a bad one, I forgot to put on sunscreen.

I do not do NFTs, I am just not interested and I don't think that is suitable for the photography that I do. I would say that looking for new places for people to get prints and also make it so I can continue my work. I would say that the nicest part of this is that I would like to do this for my fans on here and also on DA, but I honestly have been on Redbubble for a long time. I am now wondering if I should look elsewhere for places to sell my picture.

I am going to be attending this and honestly, it is nice to go each year and enjoy the amazing work of the people around me, I am going to be mentioning that I am working once again with a nice camera and I will be happy to get photos and videos again. I am happy to talk to the people there again for studying.
FanExpo is a Surprise
This year has been a bit of a surprise and apparently there are going to be more guests than usual, I am not sure what is going on, but I am wondering where the hell the convention is getting all this money again. I am aware that FanExpo is from Canada and I know that it is going to be expensive. I am just hoping that next yar I can keep up going and since it has become sort of a yearly tradition for me to attend because well...I feel better after going. I am happier and more alive when I save up for it.

Owed to a Friend
Posted 6 months agoSometime in January I got the news a friend of mine who was called Brandy or Fox, had passed. While I know this news is sad to take in, I want to spread this out and say that she had a great deal to do with my photography. She was not always the easiest person to talk to, she was brash, loud, and demanded a lot of attention sometimes. Her words are not always the best and she was often the harshest person in the room, I wasn't happy with her when it came to certain things she did.
Yes, Brandy was trans, she was also a great person on top of it. I have never said otherwise, but sometimes she did things that would have made people wonder if she was there mentally. She would use drugs, sometimes going from hard to just soft, I don't know, I told her it was a bad idea, she sometimes never listened. I wanted to get some words to her after my sister died, but I didn't want to disrupt her life with my drama.
I don't think Brandy would have dropped what she was doing to come and talk to me, try to get me to stop feeling like I was wrong. I truthfully didn't want her to stop her own upward movement, because I thought she was doing well. She left, and that is all I can say is that there is a large hole in the ground where a chair was and that was her seat of sorts.
While I can be upset that she is gone, but I am going to make this the most important thing out there, she was a friend and I will miss her.
To anyone in Colorado who knows where Brandy's boyfriend, Dakota is, please tell him to get a hold of people, we miss him too.

Nature Photography for Summer 2025
Posted 6 months agoIts that season again and I am in search for a new site to sell my photography on, this is just so people can get physical wears that are able to be signed in the future. I am also trying to get another photographer some notice, but she sold off her equipment before I could get her a chance to sign up on here and put her amazing works here.
I work with a woman named, Inoli, she is an amazing photographer and she has shown me some great deal of skills and I wish she could come back. I want her to have some fun on here. This is the world that she needs, a place where positivity is welcome, she has some amazing talents and I can't express the amount of stuff I learned from her.
The summer season can't start with out some discussion on what I am doing for the next few months when it comes to the parks I am visiting. For most part, I am local to Denver CO, and one of the parks is going to be changing badly in the worst kind of way. Belmar will no longer be featured on here, considering what happened.

Had to Put my foot down about how I get paid
Posted 9 months agoWhen it comes to how I get paid for the works I have, I have two options, find me at Conventions to get informations on prints, go to my Redbubble Store or pay for a print through PayPal. Recently, I had a gentleman approach me about a piece he wanted to use for inspiration for a painting. While that is nice and he wanted to pay me for the right to use it, his method just threw up red flags.
I do not do business through e-mail like that, if you want me to do photography work with cosplay or fursuiting, then e-mail and we arrange a time and payment plan for that. But to buy prints or rights, you do that through paypal, or maybe once I understand it, Cash App, but I prefer physical meets and chances to get to know who I am working with.
Truthfully, I think that is the best method for me, but I am just going to mention, that this was a little bit of a red flag moment for me. I don't like working on Discord with people who I don't know that well.
I do not do business through e-mail like that, if you want me to do photography work with cosplay or fursuiting, then e-mail and we arrange a time and payment plan for that. But to buy prints or rights, you do that through paypal, or maybe once I understand it, Cash App, but I prefer physical meets and chances to get to know who I am working with.
Truthfully, I think that is the best method for me, but I am just going to mention, that this was a little bit of a red flag moment for me. I don't like working on Discord with people who I don't know that well.
Someone started following me on DA, and he isn't nice
Posted 9 months agoI just can't believe some people, I told a guy on Reddit, that none of my work is edited or used with an AI, he blew up, he found out I am a furry, he also misgendered me, I'm a woman. I don't get how he can misgender me and I guess he didn't realize that my work is not exactly what I show on that site unless he were to look at a bunch of nature photos and drawing of a fuzzy character from Doctor Who called Beep the Meep.
In other news, I was looking from one set of photos from last year before I start to transfer it to my external. I am going to be starting to pull photos for printing, coworkers were wanting me to show off a bit. I do have my schedule for the next few weeks for the Anime Con to basically area events. I am going to make sure to keep everyone on here in the loop.
I have made so many amazing friends on here and I would love to say it, I am thankful for FA for staying up and I can put my amazing photography adventures up for all to see. I am going to retire RippytheNeko and be fully thankful to have my fursona being a Pallas Cat, now i just wish I could get an icon to fit with my profile pic.

Daku Con Tomorrow
Posted 12 months agoI will be at Daku Con for the next three days and will be on staff yet again. It isn't a bad thing to be and I love this convention, its fun and I love the staff who work there. I enjoy the fun and panels that are going to be happening.
I am not too upset about losing one of my panels, but that was not planned, I did however able to get the rest of the panels on my jump drive and we're set. Updating on Windows 365 was not expected or wanted. I was upset to lose two panels I was working on and they were nearly finished, and had to rush and find the rest of my notes, I was lucky I found the notes. It was easy to rebuild now...thank goodness.
I will post some images when I get back.

Posted a year agoI am planning on donating some prints for sale at Mile Hi Con for the Literacy Auction, these are images that I am going to say these are for the joy of it. I want to say that this is not the first time I thought about doing this. I am considering asking others what images do you think I should get physical prints of so that we have a variety to donate.
I am thinking of doing mostly 8x10s and a few larger prints. I work at a place where I can get some cheap frames that will look good.

I am counting down the time I take to be a volunteer, this convention is my favorite place to go. I talk about how amazing it is for all the things it does for the community. I love the character of the convention as laid back, sweet natured persons and beautiful group of people who run the convention year after year.

Countdown is also going on as I am working on the panels for this year. I am going to be having some assistance from my husband.

Posted a year agoI am doing pretty well the last few days, had some help with my work from my husband and he gave me some great ideas for the next few sessions. We are preparing for the winter seasons early, since we will be starting up a new idea. I would like to find a new place to sell some artwork, though I am looking for different photography based sites where I can sell prints online and also help fund getting a new car.
If anyone has any ideas where I can go other than Redbubble let me know, I would love to start working and expanding out. I want to figure out some way to help, my job is kind of a bummer when you think about it. I work and pay bills, but I still can't make a lot of ends meet. And so here I am trying to figure out how to turn my Nature photography into something that is useful.
This isn't going to be the easiest either, but I hope I can get some prints into some photography contests again. Those were actually really cool and some of my coworkers were were the most inspiring people I ever met. I never thought going back to Walmart, I would meet some of the nicest people and some of the greatest customers out there. I have met nice people who helped me and also a few customers who even live right by me who have seen me work hard and try my best to not worry.
I guess kindness is everywhere when you know how to find it. Hopefully, I can figure out how to do get prints and sell them because I want to make some kind of help for my husband so we can get our lives back in order.

Every year I attend the Sakura Festival run by the Buddhist Temple and it always is amazing. The guests the awesome music, the chance to learn about a culture that is far from the USA. I am happy to say is still something I enjoy seeing. I love watching the Taiko drums and seeing that this year we had THREE Taiko Drum teams that came. I was impressed with the energy and the amount of fun that this festival always brings.
The same day was Pride and yes, many from that Pride fest decided to make the walk over to the Buddhist Temple to enjoy the music, the food, and also support the local community. The fact is the LGBTQAI+ is always welcome to come to the temple and have been welcomed year after year. The Temple also encourages their attendees to Sakura Festival to also go to Pride and show some support too. I am pretty sure that some people may not like that, but who cares, I go to both and each year it gets more fun.

Aside from the ride situation which was resolved by actually me talking, which yes, introverted me who doesn't like being a bother had to ask for help. I was not happy to say, "Hey, I need some help please," I was laughing a little at the response I got of, "Why didn't you come to us sooner," from two of my friends, yes, I am that stupid sometimes.
I have a ride no worries and yes, I can't wait to go. I am going to see Adam Savage, Brandon Rogers and more. I am excited since well these are people I look up to. So hopefully I will post some images for you guys.

I just got the news I am going back to Mile Hi Con as a volunteer for the Charity Auction, and I just found out my boss wants in on it this year. He was talking to me about what we needed and the answer was BAGS. Yes, we need some reuseable bags! I am actually hoping that this year I can get some that I can paint or get images put on from my photography and donate to the auction for a good cause.
If you want to know what images are going to be on the bags, I am looking at a place that I can get prints made and also will take requests. I will make that announcement later on this year maybe around August or September.
I am also going to Daku Con again as a Staff Member and will be working with the convention staff with panels this year, going from Educational, fun and also some random stuff about Interview with the Vampire. I am going to be working on those in the next few weeks.

I have been busy
Posted a year agoI hate to be busy and then end up with a lot of images to upload, I had been kind of behind schedule and it shows. I had to wait till April to start my walks and then go into May as it was getting warmer. Now its June and I am still behind schedule on some of my photography, I feel like crap for saying that right now, but that's the honest fact that I have been at a new job and also trying to keep up with everything else.
So i hope that doesn't bother anyone at the moment, the plans for this year are still a good one as I am going to Denver FanExpo, Mile Hi Con and Daku Con, which are the conventions of my choice.

I am working on my YouTube Channel and work on photography for next year hwere I have more time to do things. I had to put a lot on hold due to what my job was doing and I needed to rethink how I reset my bills at time.

Posted 2 years agoI had a great time, I was happy to do panels again for this convention and its been getting a lot of positive press now with all the new faces and the postive feedback from the audiences. I am super excited that I will be doing another mystery panel and walking around the con helping the staff and being part of a community that has become almost a family to me.
I have never felt more accepted and more pleased that I don't feel so alone at times.

I am going to say that I had to take a step back a bit and work on the relationship issue, my husband had a medical scare. There is one thing i must tell you, please if you do get a UTI do not ignore it! I have to stress this to anyone out there that can read this, please take your health seriously, my husband has almost always never listens to his body!

Yes, good news and I will be there for Saturday and Sunday, usually I work the entire con and have had a blast, the directors have always been fun to work with. I am happy to work with others and having fun, these guys are the most open and friendly at times. Though there are times I think they need to step back and look at Anime, Sci-Fi and more with the younger crowd.

Waiting for NDK Ride

I am waiting for my ride for NDK, which is kind of a convention I was dreading about going, the last time I went, it was jarring to say the least, it was 2019, and a month before my sister passed away. My sister was supposed to meet me there, but decided at the last minute to say, no, I am busy. So I am waiting for my ride, which is kind of jarring in itself, because of a certain well...someone. I can't exactly name him because he's that kind of person. I was going to mention it for awhile that I was stalked by a guy I call Wee-a-boo-billy, he is a really creepy kind of person.
Its a long story, but here we go, the reason I don't like going to this Anime Convention is that they won't ban Wee-a-boo for anything, he stalks people who like shows he likes. He starts acting like he's a friend, he starts doing all those things and then he decides he's going to be a home wrecker! He has spread lies about my husband and has told people a bunch of stuff that wasn't true about me or about the people I am friends with. He has just made going to conventions just a bit jarring and scary for me.
He followed me into a fandom that I have been in for almost 30 years, I was a teenager when I joined the Forever Knight Fandom and I never felt comfortable talking about it openly. When I did, I usually get these looks like, "Oh, you're talking about Moonlight, that show sucks," but I am like no, that's not it. The truth is, I get really nervous about discussing this fandom because of the people I am friends with and also that having Wee-a-boo talking about it like its an Anime makes it much more nerve racking because he has mixed it up with Vampire Knight, and I just don't get it.
So yeah, this is going to be a rather unexpected moment for me. I am scared of running into him. I just don't understand why he thinks we're friends when he has stalked, annoyed and chased me around a con. I am scared to death of this person.
I am also waiting for my friend, Ryan to contact me, he is my ride and also my friend who has the body build of a line backer in a football team, yeah, he is big and can scare away weird people. I have had to see him get up in front of people before as well. I am not going to mention that he has come to my rescue with my husband in tow.
Other news,
I have a new laptop because my old one decided to hate me and we are waiting for my husband to get around to updating my panels and also working on stuff. I have yet to get some nature photography done due to my body deciding to hate life. Oh well....this fall will be nice because I am going out with a friend to do some leafing and also the Gem and Mineral show is in a week.
I have a lot on my plate considering I lost my job in December and work at a gas station which isn't as stressful as working at my last job where I did returns and had a manager who wasn't nice to me. I have not had much luck and I am still traumatized and won't be going to IKEA ever again.
The other situation
Car was stolen in June and was found in July, we had to deal with that issue, and the worst part was the door and other stuff was damaged after it was brought to my husband's father's house, which was even more weird. Somehow the thieves thought they could steal it for the second time, problem is that there is a huge issue with the car, it won't start without the cytilic converter and also I make jokes on the other part.
Let's see, the car has no AC, the driver's side has the only working window, the backseats leak, and the trunk fills with water when it rains because the trunk seal doesn't fit. There is a mountain of other issues that are works in progress and the thieves basically stole the worst kind of lemon ever. Just putting that out there as a the joke gets worse when you realize that even if the car was taken again for the third time, the chances it will make it down the road will be next to nill since my husband's father installed a kill switch.
We are still looking for parts for the car and so far, there is hope it will be back in running order in December.
