OMGOMGOMG... I'M ENGAGED!
Posted 14 years agoI’m so excited!!! (Even if he did wait a few months shy of 6 years to do it. >_>) We’re going to get married on Halloween night 2012. It’s going to be a FREAKING AWESOME Hallowedding complete with costumes and festive decorations! (It will actually wind up being more of a Halloween party than a wedding but whatev’s.) ^_^
He asked me the day after Christmas at a restaurant with a couple of our close friends present. (They will actually be our maid of honor and best man) :P
When I went to tell my mother that I was engaged I tried to convince her that I had come to terms with the fact that I was a lesbian (lie). Her face right up to the point where I spouted off “Nah, I’m just fucking with you, I’m engaged!” was absolutely priceless. XD
Just DAYS after the proposal my mother was griping at me saying that I needed to get in touch with a possible photographer that we know and find a place… It hadn’t even been a week yet! I don’t even have my ring yet (as it’s being resized) I mean geez woman chillax and let me be engaged for a bit. We’ve got 10 months and I am FAR from being picky. :P
I say that but we’ve already picked out our wedding bands and I’m already pretty sure of the dress I will be getting (If I can have a couple of alterations to it). I also decided I will be wearing stomp boots and a cape instead of a veil (I have a really freaking awesome one already picked out). So…. lol
Any ideas or advice you would like to offer is always welcome. ^_^

I tried to resist it; I really did... but in the end corvale finally talked me into it and got us a server running.
I am now building the world of my dreams and nightmares as I will never see them again due to lack of sleep. Oh my gawd why is a game so simple and bit-like so ridiculously FUN?
My first project is already well underway! It will be a huge sky dome complete with two bedrooms with fireplaces, a workshop, farm and observing balcony wrapped all the way around it. On the ground levels will be a rather large courtyard and windowed shelter (which is what Corvale and I are currently living in). I do believe the hardest obstacle will be getting grass to grow in the sky... BUT I WILL DO IT!
If you don't hear from me for a few days... please; someone dig me out of my computer room. :(

It has gotten so bad already that even though I obviously can't play Minecraft at work, I'm making floor plans in MS paint. >_<

Posted 14 years agoThis time next week, after a several hour drive, I will be lounging next to the banks of the Mississippi at The Hilton New Orleans Riverside! Teeheeheehee! I'm so excited! X3
My best friend darkkitten1986 has her annual slumber parties convention there and she invited me and corvale to come with her! The hotel we will be staying at is super nice and is only blocks away from EVERYTHING. The only bad thing is that during the day she will tied up with her convention stuff, but that won't stop me, Corvale or her man-thing from going out and having a good time without her! :P I mean, we'll be back to get her once she's done everyday... DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT! >:[
Also, also, ALSO??? Her convention welcoming party that Thursday is going to be 80's themed!!! Complete with costumes! XD She's taking me along as her guest... maybe because I threatened her life... but tom-ay-toe, tom-ah-toe. :) We already have our costumes put together; they're not the best by any means... but they're decent and they match but with different colors. I went with green and she went with pink. Can't WAIT!!! ~dances~
We are still working out the details for what we want to do on the rest of our trip. We are looking at several different tours, the aquarium, maybe even the ferry ride... Only a few things are for certain; we will only be blocks away from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter so it's kind of obvious we'll go to those at least once, Darkkitten wants to see if we can find the entrance to the 'underground' New Orleans, I want to go to a voodoo mart, and on the way home Sunday, we are going to hit up Myrtles Plantation.
It's going to be an awesome, much needed, vacation weekend. :)

Here's what I'm going to offer: 1 piece of free art of any 1 of your characters as I am inspired.
How will this work? Like this:
Comment below with either a ref sheet of your character or a WELL WRITTEN description of him/her.
Also include ONE song. (Please list both the name of the song AND artist so I can easily find it.) or you could even link it if you wish.
Why include a song you ask? Well, this is what is going to happen. I am going to look at/ visualize your chosen character as I listen to your chosen song. If I am inspired by this I will put you on a "finals" list. When I am done taking entries for this I will choose the one that I was most inspired by and draw what comes to mind from the character / song combo.

Posted 14 years agoMy year beginnings and endings are always so full of lots and lots of stuff to do, and this one is no different!
This weekend I will going to Corsicana to visit family finally! We thought about going to furry fiesta, but meh... I'd rather go see my folks and I would only be going for furry swag while avoiding as much furry contact as possible anyway.
And then just two weeks after that I will be off to New Orleans! My best friend darkkitten1986 has her annual slumber parties convention there and we are tagging along with her. It's gonna be so awesome! This year they're staying at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside which is a really freaking nice hotel that's right next to EVERYTHING. Also, her convention is going to have a 80's theme party which she is going to bring me along as her guest for. I can't wait! We are currently preparing matching yet oppisite 80s costumes. Then in the meantime we'll be spending all of our time with tours, walking around and, ya know; being tourists. Oh yes, and shopping at the voodoo mart of course.
Then I have my anniversary of 5 years with corvale. Still not 100% sure what we'll be doing for this but it will be something...
Then at the very end of March I have my looooooong overdue doctors appointment so I can finally find out WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG with me... Kinda worried about this one actually...
THEN we round my hectic months off with corvales birthday party at the end of April. I still have yet to plan for this, but I am sure it will inculde many a game and many a drink. :)
Then I can finally breathe a sigh of relief that I have nothing left do until next Halloween when everything stirs back up into a whirlwind of events again....

Posted 14 years agoIt's true; I am in a genuinely better mood than normal. Although it has been a rather uneventful day, for some reason I currently have a rather (even more so) optimistic outlook on my life.
1) I have some pretty freaking awesome friends. (They will even dance to Micheal Jackson songs with me) ^_^
2) I go to the gym twice a week which makes me feel at least marginally less fat.
3) I have an awesomely crazy ass mother who just fucking rocks.
4) Music. It’s A-fucking-mazing.
5) My birthday is coming up in just 12 days, is on a Saturday, and I even share it with my best friends boyfriend so that means double the party for both of us!!! XD
6) I have a pretty sweet job.

corvale finally got me into a non-suck game of D&D and I have to say I am enjoying the hell out of it.
8) I recently had a spiritual/ religious conversation with my dad which made me feel even closer to him than I had before.
9) It has been a weekend full of stormy weather. <3

Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.
